Phillip is shown speaking on video tape. Ross tells them that Phillip was very specific with his instructions and Ross was told to follow them to the letter. Gus arrives, Alan says he didn’t think he was coming. Alex wants to get along with things since she’s on a day pass. Ross states Phillip has made a specific request.

Harley is at the police station and sees the board with the photos of the murder suspects. She relives her argument and final struggle with Phillip. An officer asks if she is looking for Frank and Harley says no and leaves.

After Ross’s instructions, Alan tells Ross he will not be a part of this. Ross states Phillip was adamant, and as his attorney, he has to follow every one of his stipulations. Everyone forms a circle and holds hands. Beth, Alex, Alan, Lizzie and Rick and Gus. Alex leads and everyone joins in, n a rendition of “Kumbaya.” They are all less than enthusiastic to sing.

Harley is now at Company, and Buzz asks her what’s up. He tells her she should get some rest since Mel has the kids. Harley wants to help in case there is a breakfast rush tomorrow. Buzz and Coop look at each other. Harley is again reliving the last argument with Phillip. She is trying to fill a sugar bowl and ends up dumping the contents of the sugar bag. A gun falls out of the bag while Buzz and Coop are looking on.

Marina arrives at the Lighthouse and is ready for her babysitting duties since Mel will be bringing Robbie over soon. Marina states she’ll just hang. Danny is looking at blueprints for the restaurant and he says they did a good job with the design. He says this is a job and he’s not thinking about Michelle. Marina thinks Danny is lying.

Michelle tells Tony that they are lost. She pulls out a candy bar and says “last meal?” He can’t believe she is carrying around a big bag and there is nothing in it that can help them get off the island. Michelle states at least I still have my stuff.

Everyone is finishing the rendition of “Kumbaya”. Alan says no more singing. Ross says thank you for fulfilling Phillip’s last wish, and they may now begin.

Phillip begins speaking on the video tape, and now that they’ve had a chance for some good old-fashioned bonding, they’ll be in the right frame of mind to receive what he’s left for them. He says if you are watching this, I’m gone and probably not by natural causes. He says that he forgives them and hopes they will forgive him. His goal in death, as it was in life, is to protect this family.

For all his children under the age of 18, he has left stock and trust funds to be inherited upon their 25th birthday. Lizzie’s special bequest will be mentioned later.

Beth has been left enough to take care of her and Lillian for the rest of their lives. She was it for him. She was his one true love, the girl of his dreams, and his high school sweetheart. She knew how he felt. Beth cries.

Alex has been left stock in Spaulding and is surprised. Phillip says the stock is yours if, and only if, you agree to work as a maid in the mansion. He says he’s kidding. When she gets out of jail, Alex will return to work at Spaulding in the mailroom.

A police officer puts the gun in an evidence bag. Harley states she knows he’ll have more questions if the gun matches the bullet. She knows the drill and asks for the officer to get the gun out. He then leaves. Harley tells Buzz she keeps thinking she’ll wake up. Coop thinks it’s good they found the gun and can now get fingerprints and find the killer. Harley asks what if the good Phillip was in there and what if I didn’t see it? Buzz says it’s amazing the cops didn’t find the gun and as they were all over Company. Buzz asks how Harley knew where it was.

Michelle doesn’t understand why she ran off. Mom’s don’t do stuff like that, and she feels she should have thought of Robbie. Tony tells her to give herself some slack. She states maybe Danny was right, and I was permanently damaged in that explosion. Michelle states look at my choices; one bad decision after another. Tony asks if that includes getting involved with him.

Marina is hitting the wall with a sledgehammer. She says, "take that Shane for leaving me to go to Bosnia. Take that Phillip for what you’ve done to my family." Danny is cheering her on. Marina says take that Gus for screwing with Harley. Danny applauds. Danny takes over. He says this is for knocking down all those walls he’s been banging his head into. Danny says that was pretty good. He says (while swinging the sledge hammer) for putting the past in the past and moving on with the future. There is now a big hole in the wall. Danny states this one is for... and his wedding ring falls off. Marina finds it and hands it to Danny. She asks him isn’t he going to put it back on. Danny holds the ring and looks at it.

Alex doesn’t think Phillip is serious about her working in the mailroom. Ross states he is, and if she doesn’t comply she’ll lose her stock. If she wants to fight it, she’ll have to go to court. Alan asks Ross to continue. Phillip asks if Alan has a sedative for Alex.

To Rick, he was the one constant friend in his life and he wouldn’t have made it without him. Phillip wishes he had embarrassed Rick one last time on the basketball court. He didn’t leave him money because he knew he wouldn’t take it. Phillip left him the boats that they use to race on the lake. He also bought the basketball court where they used to play after school so their sons will be able to play. He hopes the next generation will have a better chance for happiness.

To Alan, his father, who is his father, he apologizes for blaming so much on him, and states he loved him. Phillip is giving controlling interest in Spaulding to the next in line, his brother, Gus. Gus says “oh, no.” Phillip states here is your chance, Augustus. Alan tells Phillip “thank you, son.” Phillip says as for me, rest assured I’m thinking about each and every one of you. “This family, all of you, have also been my greatest joy.” Phillip is in tears and asks them to love each other. Just a little bit more loving and forgive each other just a little sooner. Don’t stop looking for those blue skies and palomino ponies. They are out there. He loves them all. Goodbye. Lizzie breaks down and everyone is in tears.

Harley states she didn’t know the gun was in the bag of sugar. Buzz says it was smart to put the gun in the bag. Harley states it’s not so strange that I found it. It was a co-incidence. Coop can’t understand why the killer left it. Harley says maybe the killer wiped the gun clean and didn’t care where they disposed it. Buzz says he needs a tall guy to help him change a light bulb on the porch. Coop states he has to go out anyway and work for Lizzie tonight. Buzz and Coop leave. Harley is reliving again Phillip pushing the gun towards her. She says to herself “could I have done this? Could I have murdered my son’s father?” Harley begins scrubbing the floor on her hands and knees. Ruth appears and says, “scrub away Lady MacBeth. It won’t change anything.”

Ruth tells Harley she can’t erase what she did. Harley asks if she killed Phillip. Ruth says I’m just you in a wig and nose, and I can’t tell you anything more than you already know. Harley states she can’t remember. Ruth says she does remember, and she has to face it. Harley says I don’t. I have all these pictures in my head like a jigsaw puzzle trying to get the pieces to fit. Ruth says that’s good. Use your logical mind. You're good at it. It’s much easier that way. Harley asks easier than what? Ruth replies “being a murderer.”

Ross thinks everyone should take a deep breath and remember they are here to fulfill Phillip’s last wishes. Alan tells Gus he realizes it's a big responsibility to run Spaulding, but it’s very important that a family member do this or it could cause serious damages. Gus asks what about the damage to my life? He doesn’t care what Phillip wanted as he made everyone miserable when he was alive. Lizzie tells Gus to shut up.

Danny says I never thought anything would make me stop from wanting to be with her. Marina says things are different, now, and she is different now. Danny agrees and believes he was in denial for a very long time. He says he knew when Michelle woke up and didn’t recognize him. He knew. Danny explains he has to move on and to make a life for him and Robbie. Marina says he doesn’t have to prove anything, and if he’s not ready to take the ring off, he should put it back on. Danny puts the ring in his pant pocket.

Tony asks Michelle if he is one of those mistakes. Michelle says she doesn’t know. She says you accept me for who I am. Michelle asks how am I supposed to trust what I want. My life is a mess, and she’s made so many wrong choices. Tony mentions the choices he’s made and that people make mistakes. No one is perfect. Michelle says most people remember their mother, father and baby son but she’s just empty. Tony explains she is so full of life and has gotten him to do things he wouldn’t do. Michelle says maybe I do those things because my mind is blanking out. Tony states there is nothing wrong with her. He tells Michelle she is perfect the way she is. Tony states you don’t belong in that mold. You belong with me.

Tony says, “this is me telling you that I think you are so damn amazing” and that he wants her. He states we’ve been dancing around this afraid of hurting someone. He professes his love for Michelle, and believes she loves him too. Tony states I love you for who you are and feels she is incredible. He asks Michelle to look at him and be with him. Let his heart show her how he really feels. He states again “I love you.” Michelle asks Tony to kiss her. They kiss.

Danny tells Marina that’s enough for tonight and he will double her babysitting fee. Marina says I won’t take your money. I don’t get paid for being a friend. She says you are the only one I can talk to about Shane. Marina states so I owe you, She is going to take him and Robbie out for banana splits since they are Robbie’s favorites. Danny says no and Marina asks when is the last time you did something fun and just chilled out. He says I can’t remember. Marina says then it’s been way too long.

Alex leaves and tells Alan he knows where he can find her. Alan pours Ross a drink. He says I think tonight went very well and Phillip would be pleased. Ross states I can’t believe he’s gone and remembers him as a little boy so full of promise and had so many dreams. Alan says his loss for me is unbearable.

Beth tells Lizzie she knows she’s feeling overwhelmed by all of this . She can miss her father and be angry at him too. Lizzie doesn’t want to be angry at Phillip but in the end, she was. Beth tells her it’s not your last moments with someone, it’s the sum total that counts. Lizzie states how much she loved Phillip. She worries that Phillip didn’t know how much she loved him. Beth says I don’t know what happens after we die, but she feels Phillip is watching them. Lizzie says I guess I’ll find out what he wanted for me. She looks up to heaven and tells Phillip she’s not going to let him down this time. She promises.

Coop opens an envelope from Buzz. It’s a plane ticket. Buzz tells Coop to go out and see the world the way he wanted and have some fun. Coop states I can’t leave as he has to pay off the Spaulding’s $ 50,000.00. Buzz states it’s been taken care of. Coop wants to know how. Buzz feels Coop has to go to places he hasn’t seen. Coop wonders what’s the rush. Buzz states that Jenna loved him a lot but would kill him if he didn’t send Coop out to see the world. Coop says I will see the world after I finish my work. Coop thanks Buzz and asks him to hold onto the envelope. Buzz tells Coop he’s a dummy. They hug. Coop says he has to get going. Buzz tells Coop we aren’t done here. Coop leaves.

Harley tells Ruth if I murdered Phillip, I will face the consequences, but she could be innocent. Ruth says you are looking for absolution but in your heart, you already know what happened. Harley says, “I don’t.” Ruth states you’ve changed, and you wanted him dead. She tells Harley to admit it. Harley cries, falls to her feet, and says “yes, I wanted him dead.” Gus comes in and asks Harley whom she is talking to. Harley says I’m guilty. I killed Phillip.” She explains she found the gun in a bag of sugar. Harley feels she was drawn to it. Gus thinks it means nothing as anyone could have found the gun in the bag of sugar. Harley believes it was so horrible she blocked it out. She was dressed as Ruth and was waiting for Phillip to get there. Gus asks if Harley turned off the alarm because when Phillip broke in, there was no sound. He states somebody must have turned off the alarm. Harley says the alarm has been malfunctioning and goes off all the time. It went off all the time. The guy from the alarm company came and changed the code, and Harley was supposed to get the new code, but didn’t. She forgot. There is a revelation. Harley says I couldn’t have turned off the code. Gus replies “because you didn’t know the code.”

Michelle and Tony are kissing on the ground. He asks if she is cold and maybe they should wait a second. Michelle states they’ve waited long enough. He leaves to build a fire. Tony climbs up a bit of hill, loses his balance, and falls.

Danny says he’d love to go out for ice cream, but Robbie will need a bath, snack and a story. Marina asks for a rain check. Danny says I was looking at your MP3 player to see what kind of music you liked, and bought you a CD he thinks she'd like. She hugs and kisses Danny. Marina says she’s sorry. Danny says he’s not. Marina leaves in an hurry.

Coop arrives and apologizes to Lizzie for being 15 minutes late. Lizzie is out of it. He asks aren’t you going to abuse and frustrate me? She states your services aren’t needed tonight. Coop wishes she had called him. Lizzie explains she found out the details of her father’s will. Coop apologizes and thinks Lizzie wants to be alone. She says “sure.” Coop states your father probably left you pretty set. She says he left me Company, your father’s restaurant. She says it’s mine, my uncle Ross just told me. Coop wants to know how and why.

Gus asks Harley if it is possible the alarm wasn’t on that night. Harley says no, the alarm sets automatically when the lock is engaged for more than five minutes. Gus says when you lock, you have 30 seconds to activate the code, and it could have been anybody. 10 to 15 people know that code. Harley says no. Buzz just changed that code, and he was the only one who had the numbers. He’s the only one would could turn... They look at each other. Harley states he lied, and he was there that night. Gus asks “is it possible that your father did this? Is it possible that Buzz killed Phillip?” Harley looks outside to see Buzz sitting alone on the bench.
