Eric pours eggnog for everyone while the children scamper about with their reindeer antlers, shaking the packages under the tree. Brooke comments that going to the women’s and children’s shelter this morning really makes you realize how lucky their children are. Ridge says they are all so lucky and gives Brooke a light kiss. Felicia comes downstairs and Thorne asks if Dino needed a nap? She says after the morning they had, she could use one too. Taylor suggests she go get some of Eric’s eggnog. Felicia quips, “I said a nap, Taylor, not knocked out cold.” Everyone laughs. Stephanie thanks them once again for going with her to the shelter and Thorne calls Felicia the black leather Santa Claus. More laughter. The wandering college boy, Thomas, enters with gifts and they all hug and greet him. He asks about Dante and Felicia looks disappointed but says his plane is late and he’ll be there later.

The kids can’t wait to tear into their gifts from Thomas. Felicia sees Eric checking his cell phone in anticipation. She goes to get Thorne more eggnog and walks over to Eric. She tells him listen to her – about his plan to bring Grandma and Aunt Pam there, scrap it. He answers, “Felicia, this is Christmas. It’s a time of opening hearts and forgiving. If your mother can’t forgive her now, when will she?”

On the plane, Pam remarks to Ann that it was nice of Eric to invite them. Ann retorts if Stephanie had wanted them there, she would have invited them herself. Pam tells her it’s been thirty years since they spent it with family; she thinks they should just focus on having a good time. Ann remarks that is up to her sister. But, Pam says no, it’s up to Ann. She says she did ask Stephanie to forgive her, but she refused. She wants so much to have her back in her life, but she’s afraid of when she sees them. She knows what Eric said, but that is hoping for too much. Her sister hates her, and she doesn’t blame her.

Phoebe and Shane sit around a tree and he thanks her for her gift and hands her a gift that he made. It’s a wooden jewelry box with her name gilded on it and he tells her to open it up. She says it’s gorgeous, but she didn’t want him to spend his money on her. He vows that someday he is going to fill it up with diamonds for her. He promises her that. He wants to be somebody that she can be proud of and he extols how he has a bunch of interviews lined up. He wants to be somebody that is worthy of her. Her phone rings and it’s Ridge wanting to know where she is. She says she’s at Bridget’s, but she will be over at Grandma’s very, very soon. She tells Shane maybe next year he can come with her, and he likes the sound of that. He pulls her to him and gives her a kiss and they wish each other a Merry Christmas.

Brooke and Bridget hug and Stephanie smiles. Eric remarks he wasn’t sure he’d ever see that after all they had gone through. Stephanie says somehow they always do. And Eric adds there is a very strong bond between mother and daughter. Stephanie ponders – yes, that’s how this family operates. They always come together in a crisis, all of them. Look at the tough year all of their children have had, and they are stronger than ever. He tells her so is she. She handled the situation with her mother extraordinarily well. That’s why he’s giving her a very special Christmas present this year and he hopes she likes it. She answers she couldn’t help it because he has such exquisite taste.

Hope, R.J. and Ridge wait for Brooke and he grabs her and drags her into a room under the mistletoe. The kids delight in seeing him kiss her and want their turn too. She remarks he better just be glad that she came along at that moment. He says he had been waiting for her….for a very long time and it was worth it. And she says she is grateful that he didn’t give up on them. He says he didn’t know how long it would take but he always knew they’d get their family back.

Thomas explains to Ridge that Steffy called Phoebe and she says they will call her back later so everyone can talk to her. That’s okay, now he wants to talk to Phoebe alone. He asks has she seen Shane? She tells him she was at Bridget’s house. He tells her he loves her and perhaps she thinks he is being overly protective, but if anything ever happened to her, it would destroy him. No lecture, go enjoy the party.

The kids get some paints and art supplies and want to use them. Taylor convinces Allie to wait until they get home so she won’t ruin her dress by getting it dirty. Thorne coos he’s not sure he can wait that long until they get home and gives Taylor a peck.

The co-pilot tells Pam there is a car on the tarmac waiting to take them to the Forrester’s. Is there anything else she can do? Ann speaks up and says yes, they can wait there and take them back to Chicago. They probably won’t be at the Forrester house very long. Pam wishes she wouldn’t be so negative. Ann states she is only being realistic, Pam should be too. Pam says if Stephanie asks them to leave, they’ll leave. But, Eric believes there is a chance for her and Stephanie to reconcile. There is a reason to hope.

Eric catches Stephanie in a pensive far-away mood and she says she is just thinking of family. He is thinking her mother and sister? She says no, her mother is the last person she would think of on a day like today. She was thinking of Kristen and wishes she could be here, and Sally. But, she’s with C.J. and she’s happy for her. She’ll just miss her laughing…..and Darla…’s going to be hard without Darla. It’ll be hard on the baby and Thorne. She tells him she has a very special gift for Allie and she hopes it will help. She asks Allie to come sit by her. This is her gift from Grandma, but actually just a little bit from her but from her mommy really and she just helped with it. Allie opens it with glee and thumbs through the pages of a photo album filled with pictures of her and her mommy and daddy. Then there are more pages and more pictures of Thorne and Taylor that she can fill in later. Allie says her mommy is so pretty and she misses her. Stephanie says she know she misses her, they all do. And Darla loved Christmas so, she knew what it was all about – love. Spending time with the people that you love and remembering the people that you love that are gone. And her mommy is still there with her in a very special way. She’s the Spirit of Christmas.

Indeed, Darla’s spirit fills the air with her voice giving good tidings to Allie and all. “Mommy loves you, my baby girl.” Allie thanks her grandma for the beautiful gift. And Stephanie thanks everyone for being there today to make this day just a little more special. And that they are all together with their families. All families can’t say that. Hers certainly didn’t. Taylor remarks that could change in time. Stephanie offers that she doesn’t think so. The Douglas family never bonded the way they have as Forrester’s. “I think as family, we’ve proven over and over again, with enough love and compassion – any – any wound could be healed and any mistake can be forgiven and any wrong can be right.” They certainly all have forgiven her for messing into their lives and trying to control them and she appreciates that. And thanks for their support these past few weeks. It’s gotten her through some difficult times. She points to each of them individually and tells them they are her family, the only family she ever wanted. She’s so proud and very grateful to them. And she is so happy to have them together on this Christmas Day. And before she gets all mushy, she says Christmas dinner will be ready in a freckle and a half. There is laughter and applause.

Felicia looks to her dad and tells him – see there, her mother doesn’t want or need Grandma and Aunt Pam there. Please call it off; her mom is so happy. He tells her they are going to be here any second and he thinks she will be a lot happier once she is able to make amends with her mother. Felicia is afraid that is not going to happen.

There is a knock at the door; he knows it’s them. Bridget tells Dino it might be his father. Stephanie is surprised when she opens the door and there stands Ann and Pam. Her mother says Merry Christmas to her. Stephanie asks what is she doing here? Pam says it’s Christmas, a time for family. Stephanie answers, “yes, it is. And I’m spending it with MINE. You’re not welcome here. You weren’t invited. Pam, take her and leave right now.”
