Jackie laments to Nick as he is slaving away with paperwork that she thought acquiring Forrester Creations was meant to bring him and Brooke together. Instead she is with Ridge. And Nick is buried in work and Stephanie walks away scot free. And she still has Eric. She opines about the years of abuse he’s had from Stephanie. He should be a candidate for sainthood or the loony bin. And she knows they just went off to Chicago, but not why. She has a pang of pain but tells Nick she is okay and is trying not to take so many pills. And she tells him that he needs to get away from all of this. What’s the point of having all of this power if he can’t experience some of life’s pleasures? “Here sits one of the most eligible bachelors, I think actually the most eligible bachelor in L.A. So get out there and make yourself eligible.” He states there will be plenty of time for that. She tells him he needs companionship; he needs his intellectual equal….someone who is at peace with themselves…..someone who is warm, not boring. He quips maybe he’ll buy the L.A. Times and she can put an ad out. She deadpans that she is serious, he has a legacy to think about.

The doorbell rings and it's Taylor. Jackie is all too eager to invite her in. Nick asks what brings her by? She remarks that she wanted to see how Jackie was. Jackie is touched and wishes she could say she was better. She insists on going and fixing tea and will be back in a jif. Nick says okay, she checked on her mother, what is the other reason. Taylor holds out an olive twig. He asks are they supposed to smoke that? She remarks it is an olive twig, along the lines of an olive branch. She announces that she comes in peace. She’s hoping to make peace between him and the Forrester’s. He’s a decent man; much too decent to take away a company from a family. He asks is that her professional opinion? And she replies yes. He tells her he respects that she is good at what she does, but if she thinks she can change his mind, then she doesn’t know him very well at all.

Donna surprises Thorne by showing up at his door and inviting herself on in. He tells her he was expecting Taylor as Ally wants to model her flower girl dress for her. Donna states that she heard congratulations were in order. And with all that has been happening at Forrester’s, his marriage to Taylor looks like something to look forward to. And with all the changes, she just thought they ought to clear the air before it gets poisonous. He thinks that is a good idea, but with all the things that are happening he can’t help but wonder if she’s not here on some reconnaissance mission for her new boss, Nick Marone.

At the beach house, Phoebe tells Bridget that Shane has made some mistakes, but she can’t believe that he meant to hurt her. Bridget still opines that he could be more dangerous than Phoebe realizes as Hector made it pretty clear of what happened. Phoebe reminds her that Hector is blind. She doesn’t want to be rude, but he’s just wrong. Shane is sweet and he made her laugh, and he told her that he loved her. Bridget confides in her that he did come to the hospital for his head wounds, and she did call security but he managed to slip out. Phoebe feels badly as he ran because of her. There’s a warrant out for his arrest and she led him on to make sure he testified. When he found out, it really hurt him.

Donna tells Thorne that Nick has nothing to do with her being there. Even though she backed up his claims of what happened to his mother. She knows what she saw. What is she supposed to do, lie? Brooke is part of his family again and she doesn’t want them to be at odds. And if there is any conciliation, maybe some good came out of all of this. Because Brooke had told her that Stephanie is dealing with her anger and trying to work through all of this. He swears this is true, but it doesn’t justify what Donna did. This is not about fashion, but revenge on Nick’s part. And he’s going to use her as a tool for that revenge. And if he were her, he’d get a million miles away from Nick as he is trouble.

Nick tells Taylor that the deal is done, he has made up his mind. He returns to his paperwork. She responds that in her experience patients often change their minds after they become aware of distorted thinking. Shocked, he says “distorted thinking? My mother is in constant pain. The relationship, the family I had with Brooke is gone. Now, unless you can change those things, we’ve got nothing to talk about.” She reiterates that she thinks they do. He has a picture of him on her couch with tissue in hand. And tells her that therapy for a guy like him is taking the boat out for a week or two. She quips she doesn’t know how he’s going to do that since he has this big fashion empire to run. He says right, but she’d rather he gave all of that up. She remarks that she personally doesn’t care. She gave him the 2% so he could give the Forrester’s the ol’ one, two. He tells her that was her choice, so she was emotional at the time. He laughs – so the dressmaker had walked out on her – the love of her life – the father of her children had walked out on her, and the family abandoned her. She disagrees, they didn’t abandon her. She drove them away. But, guess what? She forgave them, all of them. Nick asks if she thinks they deserve forgiveness? She tells him everyone makes mistakes. He says well she is living proof of that. She must be feeling pretty guilty about what happened recently. She replies she does. And he continues that she would like to make it up to Thorne and Alexandria….make it up by marrying a man she is not in love with?

She says she is pretty clear about her feelings for Thorne. She loves him. He questions if she has known him for some time, why now? She doesn’t know, just timing. He wonders – timing or guilt? She states that Thorne is a wonderful man. He’s decent and has amazing forgiving qualities. She destroyed his family. She practically owes it to him to have earned that forgiveness and love because instead he could have been hell-bent on holding a grudge for a very long time. He remarks that pretty much says it all. And she says at least she is being honest. And does he know how honest she can be? She’s there because she thinks he can rise above this payback mode he is in and give Forrester Creations back to the Forrester’s. Nick extols, “I’m having trouble deciding who the psychiatrist is in this conversation.” She tells him look, he can be angry and own this company for the rest of his life, but it isn’t going to make him happy. Trust her, take it from someone who knows. “We all have our issues and demons, Nick. You don’t want to end up in my shoes.” He listens, as a matter of fact Jackie is returning and just around the corner she hears. Taylor mentions like his father not being there for him when he was growing up….not being able to have children of his own. Losing two marriages, consisting of a mother and her daughter. She’d say he had issues and a few demons of his own. And what’s fair is fair. When she was having troubles, Nick came and offered his ingenious brand of therapy. And he labeled her a wannabe, guess she proved him wrong. He laughs and asks which one of these issues or demons would he be giving up? She offers his anger for one, and holding grudges for another. And she reminds him again that owning a fashion house is not going to make him happy. And if he will get off this power trip and give this up, he might realize there is more to life than acquiring things that has no meaning to him. She goes to her purse and pulls out a business card and hands it to him and urges him to make an appointment sometime, she’s really good! When she leaves, Jackie reveals herself and remarks what an interesting woman. Too good for the Forrester’s. Nick agrees with that. Jackie thinks Taylor is right, perhaps he ought to see her.

Bridget cautions Phoebe to be careful when it comes to Shane. She knows he is hot and he makes her laugh and feel a certain way inside but all of that can be so deceiving. Phoebe confesses that yes he was aggressive, but he was respectful too. He thought she was using him, and she was. But it turned out he wasn’t a bad guy. There’s a knock at the door and Bridget gets it. She’s shocked to see Shane. He says he only wants to talk to Phoebe and he’s not leaving until he does.

Thorne opens the door for Taylor and she is amused that he is announcing her arrival and wonders why. He starts whistling Here Comes the Bride and Ally walks out in a beautiful new fancy dress. She tells Taylor that her daddy had it made for her. Taylor compliments her that she looks so pretty, she loves it and she loves her. Thorne tells her that with so much happening with his mom and the company, they haven’t had much time to focus on themselves….their future as a family. He and Ally have moved in, now he thinks it’s time to set a date for the I Do’s. What does she say? She only hesitates a moment before saying yes.

Bridget picks up the phone to call the police. Shane tells her that he followed Phoebe there and it’s alright, he just wants to tell Phoebe something. She begs Bridget not to call the police. He starts saying he is so sorry to have let Phoebe down. He knows her mom could have gone to jail, but he would have never let that happen. Phoebe reminds him that he ran. He apologizes, but says Hector wanted him arrested. What was he supposed to do? His intention was never to hurt her. He swears he would never do that. She’s the only person that ever cared about him. He begs that he knows how he feels about her and she has got to give him a chance to show that. He promises that if she doesn’t ever want him to touch her again, he won’t.

He gives a long, sad story that if her mother hadn’t gotten out of jail, he would have gone down to the D.A.’s office even if they would have thrown him in jail….and the thought of those sick people thinking he wanted to rape her. He tells her that she inspires him to be a better person. He wants to be with her. He likes who he is when they are together and since they have been together he’s almost cut off his hand, almost been hit in the head with a bat, but it’s all been worth it. He starts to kiss her and then hears sirens and asks Bridget if she called the police, and then he bolts.

Thorne tells Taylor that having the flower girl dress made wasn’t the only thing he’d done for her out of order. He pulls out the ring box and hands it to her. She opens it to this huge marquis rock. She quips she never thought she’d see that again. He tells her that when he was looking at rings, diamonds, it’s the way they sparkle. So much of his life now lives in Heaven, but his life is here. It’s here with her. And the past will always be cherished. “Like you and I, we’re going to be husband and wife. And we are going to be magic.” He takes the ring and places it on her finger and they kiss.

Nick slowly picks up the olive twig and sits and ponders as he twirls it around. He thinks back to that night, a drunken Taylor, yet they bonded. “Therapy, huh, Taylor? Maybe we should give that a try.”
