The Bold & The Beautiful Update Tuesday 8/15/06

It’s late morning and the day has begun. Boy has it begun for Nick and Brooke who are cuddling in bed, lamenting the fact that it’s been two whole days without each other. That’s too long. She asks if Donna helped out around the house and he has to reveal to her that Forrester was over last night and still all over Donna and she didn’t seem to be resisting.
With somewhat a sour look on her face, Donna shows up a little late for work. Ridge hands her a little pink number and says they have a lot of work to do. She takes it and makes it business as usual as she leaves to change. Then she asks him if what Nick said last night was true? Is he using her to make her sister jealous? Because if he is, just tell her, she doesn’t play games. He skirts around the question by saying he didn’t answer last night because maybe he didn’t know how he felt himself.
Another couple also has the early morning hots. Felicia sits in Dante’s lap in the Executive office, no less, smooching up a storm. She confirms it wasn’t a dream with them making love all night with their beautiful son just down the hall. They are discussing this when Bridget walks in, all smiles and she is actually glad they are back together. Dante apologizes, he didn’t want her to find out like this. (then maybe close the door next time!) She assures him it’s okay. She’s happy for them. Her own life has been so messed up and not knowing her own mind, she is glad it’s a happy ending for some people. He tells her he will always love her and she understands that. But, he should be with Felicia and their son. Felicia will love him like he should be loved.
Bridget apologizes to Felicia and tells her she meant what she said and she just wishes she had realized it sooner and hadn’t ruined her wedding. She hopes Felicia can eventually forgive her as no one deserves to get back at Bridget more than Felicia, and yet she seems to have risen above that. Uhh, thinking it over, Felicia confesses that she switched out her sunblock with baby oil and then managed to slip Botox in for the crème. Bridget takes it well; she probably deserved it and then some.
Brooke is upset. She’d warned Donna for mistaking the excitement of working with Ridge as something more. Nick points out that it should be Forrester that she is upset with. She laments she just wants to keep her sister from getting her heart broken as it seems she is hell bent to go in that direction. She’d promised no more flirting or kissing, keep it strictly professional. Nick agrees this was far from being professional. And the way he sees it, Forrester is paying attention to Donna to get a reaction out of Brooke. “And the way you are acting, I’d say it is working.”
Donna asks if Ridge is confused? (isn’t he always, when he’s in trouble?) He answers that it’s complicated. She guesses because he is still in love with her sister. He proudly says he will be until the day he dies. And the truth is, he is on the rebound now and that makes him dangerous. He says he is not apologizing for that or making excuses. It’s just the way it is. Donna asks, so is any woman fair game if she lets herself be? Again perfectly honest, he tells her he would never intentionally use her. He’s working with her and trying to keep it professional. But, he’s not going to lie – it ain’t easy! He’s a man who appreciates a beautiful, sexy woman, and he declares her a beautiful, sexy woman. There’s a desire there, absolutely. Does he think of her when he designs? Hell yes! She’s his muse, his inspiration. And that is a turn on in more ways than one. He tells her this while gazing deep into her eyes. But, what happens today, next week, he doesn’t have a clue. But, that makes any involvement with him a big, big risk. She reveals that if he’s trying to scare her off, it’s not working…..okay, she is scared she confesses, but even good girls like to play with fire sometimes. And she hears what he is saying. She might get too close and get burned. She points out that she is an adult, so she’s willing to take that risk, especially if it means……then continues she has always been in her sister’s shadow all her life and now she is OUT. People are beginning to notice her. He’s noticing her, and it’s amazing. She admits she is going to take this ride for everything it’s worth. And she’ll either have the time of her life or she will get hurt. But, she’s not getting off. Slowly, he puts his hands on her arm and slithers it upward. As feelings heat up, saved by the bell as the phone rings and she tells him he’d better get it.
Nick tries to convince Brooke that Forrester knows how vulnerable she is about giving up the spokesperson position and he’s just taking advantage of that. And he’s using that to gradually chip away at their marriage which proves his point. He just thinks she needs to step back and not get caught up in his games. Which leads him to another idea he has. He’d like her to get involved with his company. She quips, he wants her to give up fashion for freighters? He brags that she is a very creative woman, a hell of a business woman and Marone would be darn lucky to have her. And it would mean a lot to him to have her there. He reminds her that he likes shipping and oil, and she likes him. It’d be a new focus for her and Marone could use some new ideas. She agrees to come to the board meeting that morning though she doesn’t know what she can do. He scoffs that she will be running the place in no time. And, if nothing else, then he will kick everyone out of the conference room and have sex on the boardroom table.
Felicia grins for whatever it is worth, she did feel badly about the Botox thing, but she had to do something. Bridget says it’s a good thing she didn’t think of a hit man. Bridget can’t explain why she did the things she did, but she feels like she is finally getting her life together and coming out on the other side. Felicia says she knows. She heard about the graduation and she even has a gift for her. Bridget laments she shouldn’t have done that. Felicia tells her not to get too excited, it wasn’t akin to a Ferrari or anything. Bridget squeals, she loves it – a stethoscope. They hug and say they love each other. Felicia tells her now that she is qualified to fix other people’s hearts, how about her own? Everything Bridget has done, she knows, has been all about Nick.
Felicia tells Bridget that life is too short, she should know. Bridget admits that yeah, she’s probably been in love with Nick ever since she first kissed him at Big Bear. Felicia says nothing has changed since then, not even the divorce, so why did she let him go? Okay, he still had Brooke in him, she gets it. Bridget admits she has not told this to anyone, hasn’t even admitted it to herself. But, she thought if she gave Nick up and he experienced her mother for himself, the reality of that rollercoaster ride she’s always on, then he’d come back to her. But, she guesses if he were going to do that, it would have happened by now. And now she’s even wondering if she led her mother down the wrong road by encouraging Nick to stop the wedding to Ridge. She opines that her mother is so hard to figure out, it’s hard to know who she wants to be with. (yeah, like mother, like daughter) But, if it’s Ridge, then she should definitely go be with him right now before anything……or anyone else gets in the way again.
Donna stands before Ridge in the sexy pink number with him touching it here and there.
With his hands encircling Donna’s waist, Brooke walks in and disapprovingly asks what is going on? They welcome her and asks how was camp? She sloughs it off and even dismisses Donna’s little show-off of Ridge's latest ‘inspiration’. She wants to discuss the sales figures with Ridge……alone. Ridge tells Donna not to go too far; they have a lot of work yet to be done.
Brooke chastises him. She thought she had made it clear, their relationship could only be about work. She answers she has eyes, she can see what was going on when he says they were working! She tells him she won’t be at Forrester for his meeting, Nick wants her to be at his. He thinks she can make a contribution. And besides, she needs to get away from here. So he makes fun, not only won’t Popeye let her work with him, but now he’s trying to pull her into a business she has no interest in. She blasts him that this is not about her husband. This is about him and her sister and whatever the hell is going on between them…and his total disregard for her feelings. She sees his hands all over Donna and she doesn’t know if he’s trying to get back at her, or Donna is, but he can’t imagine how much it hurts! “I can’t imagine? How about you and my half-brother? She asks is this payback? He replies no, it’s just him moving on with his life, which is what she asked him to do. She replies she didn’t know that was going to be with her sister. He says he doesn’t know that it is. He doesn’t know his feelings any more than she does. She exclaims that she is married. He accuses her of seeing him pull away from her toward another woman and it’s eating her up inside. Especially when that other woman might possibly be her sister.
She faces him and says so he DOES want her sister? He tells her what he wants is to take her in his arms and never let her go. “What I want is to tell you over and over again how much I love you.” What he wants is for her to come to her senses and realize that neither of them are going to really be happy until they are together again. He says she knows it is true in her heart and soul. “And there is only one way to make that happen. And that’s to tell Nick it is over between the two of you and come back to ME.” He tells her to do it for them, for their son, for everything they have ever meant to each other. It’ll be easy, just tell him, just do it.
