Ridge enjoys Donna’s kiss; he thinks it is beginning to feel like old times around there. He shares his hyped-up, nervous energy and feels rejuvenated about his business. He practically hypnotizes Donna about being ready for the ride of her life! She offers to stick around if he’s feeling inspired.

Hector welcomes Taylor to the Fire Station where there will be a citation in his honor. But, he has to pull her aside one more time to get things straightened out. She doesn’t want to talk, so he asks her to just listen. He starts by saying he lied to the police to protect the woman he loved from going to jail. It was his choice and nobody asked him to do it. And nobody could have talked him out of doing it. Just like nobody can tell her not to tell Thorne the truth. But, he hopes she won’t. He knows she is an honest woman and wants to do the right thing. So does he. They are good people and do so much good in the world. But, they never will get that chance if she confesses to Thorne. Yes, Darla’s life was important but their lives are important too. And he’d invited her here today to prove it.

Nick is sitting in the living room making himself a big sandwich. Brooke comes in and slams down her purse on the table. He asks how her day was? Actually, just the main problem. She states that would be Donna making the Forrester Showroom look like a strip club. He quips that would be good press….and she loves good press. Not cracking a smile, she surmises it was supposed to inspire applause not catcalls. He states she simply pushed the envelope and Brooke should understand that, she also is an envelope-pusher. Brooke laments that heck, Donna tore the envelope to shreds. He seems to think she was just pressured into living up to Brooke’s expectations and that she will get it right next time. Brooke replies there won’t be a next time; she fired Donna.

Donna asks Ridge if he means old times like with Brooke? He counters with no, just the Bedroom Line when it was new and he had all of this hyped-up, nervous energy. She’s surprised to hear him admit that although he was confident, he also was nervous. But, she blew them away. She admits she may have also blown away her chances with Forrester. He tells her she made this mark; this collection as her own. And to enjoy it while she can. “Fashion is a rollercoaster. If you’ve got the guts, there is no bigger thrill.” He asks if she is ready for the ride of her life? She coos that the ride has already begun.

The Chief begins the ceremony by telling everyone these things are usually done at the courthouse in full uniform, but Mr. Ramirez wouldn’t hear of it. He wouldn’t let one dime of their budget be spent on a bunch of fancy pomp and circumstance….or to miss a day at work. One of the fellow fireman smarts off that in all due respect, maybe Hector just didn’t want to iron his dress uniform. The Chief begins his speech that Mr. Ramirez didn’t join to receive allocades and he doesn’t serve the community for praise. He does this job because in his words, it needs doing! He goes on about saving homes, lives, businesses and families. And it is his honor to present him with this Medal of Distinction for years of dedication and for valor and integrity he has shown. While Hector beams, the Chief pins it on his chest. Fellow firemen congratulate Hector and Lt. Baker surprises Taylor by slipping up on her and saying, “what a guy, huh?”

He brings up Darla’s case and that perhaps Hector can shed some more light on it and they can catch the killer. She inquires if they have any more leads? Not yet but you never know. A crime like this eats at a person and perhaps they will tell someone……someone who will be obligated to tell them. Hector sees them talking and decides to take matters in his own hands and tells the Chief he’d like to say a few words. He gives a heartfelt, humbling response and looking directly at Taylor continues, “and I hope……no... I pray that I continue to do this for a very long time.”

Ridge tells Donna not to worry about Brooke. She made her choice and gave up her role there. It’s up to them to make this line move forward. She does want Brooke’s Bedroom to be a success, and it will be…..if they work together. Not taking his eyes off of her, and staring deep into her highly exposed bosom, he circles her twice…..slowly, dare I say like a vulture, tantalizing and mesmerizing her that this new line has to be sexy and more provocative than ever….sleeker fabrics and accentuating every curve and contour. The designer and lead model have to be like ballroom dancers. His designs lift her up and support her. He stands now in front of her with hands in praying fashion, demonstrating what he means by saying she follows his lead but it’s her grace that makes the dance happen. Perfect timing……perfect rhythm….. long hours…..late nights……. but it’s all worth it. She hangs onto every word as he moves in nearer. He tells her the success they felt today, it’s intoxicating, isn’t it? She says she doesn’t know what it is, but she is feeling something she has never felt before.

Nick can’t believe that Brooke fired her sister! She offers that she shouldn’t have hired her in the first place. She didn’t even want this job. And she’s an amateur and it’s showing. As he chomps on his sandwich, he maintains that he didn’t hear anyone booing. She tells him that Ridge humiliated her sister and made a mockery out of the collection. Nick quips then fire the meathead! She maintains she is not doing this to punish her sister, but to protect her. He points out that she is not some starry-eyed schoolgirl; she’s a grown woman. And if Donna doesn’t understand what is happening, he certainly doesn’t either. She blurts out that Donna is deluding herself into thinking there is something going on between her and Ridge. She knows because she saw them kissing.

Donna says she thought it was just her, but Ridge tells her otherwise, he was right there with her. It was intoxicating and he never gets tired of that. He explains that most people think a fashion show is the end process, but it’s just the beginning of this ‘energy’. And that’s what gets him going. She moves closer and says, “well, if you’re feeling inspired…..I could stick around.” He looks at her lovingly but tells her no, go celebrate. Remember they have a fitting in the morning. She coos she is looking forward to it… fact she can’t wait.

Nick seems amused – so Brooke saw Ridge kissing her little sister and it bothered her? She argues yes, it bothered her and she is NOT jealous. He questions why is she bothered? She states because she is her little sister and she’s really concerned that she is delusional. Everything seemed so perfect…..Nick adds and the press was giving her a big build-up. And she is sure Ridge has been giving her the royal treatment, but she knows that kiss meant nothing. He asks would it make a difference if it did? She laments that she’s just worried about her little sister’s feelings because she is so unlucky when it comes to men. He laughs and asks does she think this one little kiss is going to break her heart? Brooke answers yes, if she thinks he is interested. Nick counters with that he isn’t because he is still in love with Brooke! He tries to lighten up and tells her she has to let this go. Let the Bedroom Line go and they just need to get their life on together. He even offers a little get-away camp with Hope. But, she tells him she is sorry, she can not leave her sister and get away right now. She opines that Donna made a huge mistake at the fashion show and she’s making a huge mistake with Ridge. “I can’t allow her to think she has a future with Ridge when she means nothing to him at all!”

She turns around and there is little Miss Perfect standing in the doorway; she’s heard it all and looks perturbed. She heads toward the stairs, the frostiness in the air, and says something to the effect that she doesn’t want an encore. Brooke stops her but Donna says she’s not going to stand and be insulted anymore. Brooke tells her she is sorry. Donna thinks sorry that she hired her. Brooke tells her no, about the fashion show and the things she said. And she was just concerned about Donna. Nick seizes the chance to get lost and let them work this out. Donna quips yeah it might be better because it could get ugly. Brooke says it won’t. He tells them to play nice.

Brooke tells Donna she does not blame her for what happened at the fashion show. She knows now how she feels about Ridge and why she did as he asked. Donna explains she did it because it was a good idea. Brooke maintains she saw them kissing. And she didn’t like it because it wouldn’t be good for her. She wants her to be happy with the right man, but she knows that man isn’t Ridge. Donna asks, “is that why you fired me… keep me away from Ridge?” Donna says she doesn’t have to do that. She’s not STUPID. She knows he’s not over her…..he may never be over her. But this job, she feels she can do this and she can do it Brooke’s way. And she asks her to please not take it away.

Brooke states she is not sure she is ready. Donna says she never will be if Brooke doesn’t give her a chance. Brooke thinks it over and tells her she would have to be professional with Ridge…….strictly professional. Donna agrees. Brooke adds no flirting, no kissing, and completely loyal to Brooke. As CEO she knows exactly how she wants this line presented and Donna can’t be vulnerable to Ridge. Donna agrees to all of this; Brooke’s the boss! One last word, Brooke tells her if she crosses the line, one more time, then she’s out. Donna thanks her and gives her a hug saying she won’t be sorry.

Hector reminds Taylor that hitting Darla didn’t make her a bad person. It was an accident. She agrees except that covering it up wasn’t an accident and she still needs to take responsibility. He questions her who this will help? Will it make it any easier on Thorne? For the 100th time, he tells her she will go to jail, he will lose his job. Her children will suffer, so will her patients. Don’t let that happen. If she really wants to do what is best for EVERYONE, then Thorne must NEVER know that she was driving the car that night and hit Darla, not EVER!
