Yes, we’re gonna do this again. Wedding Day three, and counting. Ridge turns to Brooke and asks her to tell Nick that it’s Ridge that she loves and that they are going to be married today. When she doesn’t answer immediately, Nick speaks up and says, “she can’t Forrester. Don’t you see it? She can’t.”

Dante bursts into the guest house as Renee is looking after little Dominick. She tells him that Felicia’s organs are failing, that is why she called. He inquires if the family knows? Renee says no, she wanted to speak with him first. Say a prayer for her. He goes into the bedroom and sees Felicia in bed. She looks like death warmed over already. He tells Renee to call a doctor but Renee says he’s just left; there is nothing more to do. He sits on the edge of the bed and takes Felicia’s hand. She tells him they need to talk…..about her son.

Massimo is pacing and charging around like a mad bull, wondering what in the hell is going on up there. Every time he mentions going up, Jackie stops him. Give Nicky a chance to talk to Brooke. He bellows what is there to talk about? Brooke is supposed to marry Ridge and Dominick isn’t even supposed to be here.

Both Stephanie and Eric speak with Bridget and tell her that she had to end it with Nick and Stephanie is just glad that she finally came to understand that. Her dad knows she still loves Nick and she claims he loves her too, just not in the way she deserves to be loved. And she knows that because of him. Eric taught her that! If that man isn’t Nick, then it’ll be someone else. “And until he comes, I’ll still have you. You’re all I really need.” He smiles and gives her a big hug and says, “I love you, little girl. Your daddy loves you.”

Brooke remarks that she can’t believe this is happening. Here she is in her wedding dress, about to marry Ridge and then Nick shows up. She really thought everything was settled. That he and Bridget were married and were happy. He’d promised to take care of her. Nick points out that Brooke heard Bridget, how she felt. Ridge growls that he doesn’t know what Nick said to Bridget to get her to say all those things, but he’s not going to let him pull the same thing on Brooke. Nick shoots back at him that he can think what he wants, but Brooke isn’t married yet. Ridge says the hell she’s not! Nick continues with the suggestion that Ridge just go downstairs and tell the minister and everybody else to leave. Ridge tells him that he’s delusional, they have already said their vows and exchanged rings. The minister didn’t quite have the opportunity to make it official, but does Nick really think she’d stand at the altar with him if she didn’t intend to have a future with him?

Nick remarks that things have changed since he was ON the altar. He barks while pointing, “THIS woman deserves better. No more DISAPPOINTMENTS and no more BATTLES with your mother.” Ridge turns back to Brooke and half way sneers that his mother is no longer an influence in his life, and he means that. Nick wonders why she should believe that? She answers that Ridge is truly sorry for what he’s done; she believes that.

Softly, Felicia asks Dante to please let Nick and Bridget raise Dominick. He tries to comfort her that Dominick will be all right. She tells him she has signed some legal papers and points to the desk. He retrieves them and reads a little bit. He comes back and tells her he is pleased. She is giving guardianship to Bridget and to himself. He thanks her and then breaks it that Bridget left Nick today. But, it’s okay because she will always know that Nick loves Brooke more than he does her. Felicia is devastated because she states Brooke is marrying Ridge. All he knows is that Bridget is headed over there to tell Brooke that Nick is free. And it doesn’t matter who Brooke chooses. It just matters that Bridget is determined to be a mother to Dominick. And Dante vows to be the best father this kid could possibly have. Because he deserves the best. He’ll grow up with people loving him and giving him the best life possible. The same life that everyone knows Felicia would have given him, if she could have. The baby cries and she tells Dante to go to his son.

Sally quips that these Forrester weddings never disappoint, do they? Anybody care to make a little wager who the GROOM turns out to be? Thorne asks if she is giving odds? She chuckles.

Bridget comes stomping down the stairs and announces that her mother isn’t getting married today. She tells Massimo not to be angry. Nick is a very honorable man and they had a wonderful time together. He didn’t do anything wrong. She just believes that his heart is with her mom and he’s upstairs telling her that. Jackie pops up and asks if she ended it with Nicky? Bridget admits she has. Massimo bemoans the fact that what is she thinking? Eric intercedes and says in her behalf that she has thought this over as carefully as anyone could. Frustrated, Massimo says that’s it, no more sitting around. He’s definitely going upstairs to find out what the hell is going on! Stephanie gives a ‘watch out’ look, the you know what is gonna hit the fan.

Upstairs, the threesome are still discussing the fact should they believe Ridge or not; after all he left her earlier for Taylor. Ridge wants her just to focus on the decisions they’ve made, their future together. He wants to be her husband and raise their child. Nick groans that where was Forrester’s concerns about the boy when he walked out on her before? Tough to explain the fact that Nick will make a better father to her kids than he’ll ever be! Ridge squares off at him that does he think he’ll let him raise HIS son? Brooke does speak up and defends by telling Ridge that Nick was there for the children when he left them. “He’s never let us down.” Ridge pleads that he knows he never should have walked out on them, but R.J. is THEIR son.

Nick barks that Brooke was on the altar to give her kids stability. And he’s right, R.J. is his son and Ridge deserves to raise him. But, what about Hope? He says he may not be her biological father, but he is her father in every other way. And she deserves to be with a family where the rug won’t be pulled out from under her on a whim. “No more candles and romance… more empty promises about commitment.” Of course, Ridge can’t resist to throw that word back in his face, like the commitment Nick made to Bridget! Nick returns the favor by saying he really doesn’t get it, does he? And then tells Brooke that Forrester really doesn’t want her. He wants what he can’t have. And that might be alluring to her, but it’s not safe. And it’s not what she wants. She ought to know; she’s been there before. Massimo comes storming in and immediately tells Dominick to get the hell out of there.

Nick tries to explain to his pop. But, Massimo won’t hear of it. They came here today to see Brooke and Ridge get married. That is EXACTLY what is going to happen. How could Dominick do this on Ridge’s wedding day?

Massimo pulls Nick off to the other side of the room to have a little more privacy and they do try to whisper quietly. Once again, Nick tries to explain that Brooke doesn’t want to marry Forrester. Massimo rambles on about the Marone name and respecting it. Nick is incredulous. Is that what this is about? The Marone dynasty, his oldest son, because of the namesake? That is no reason for the two of them to marry. Massimo asks then what better reason? For God’s sake, they are not teenagers acting out their emotions. They are adults, so behave like adults. He ends by saying they are his two sons, his blood. Nick says duly noted. And he loves him, but don’t interfere with his relationship with Brooke! He tells his dad that he married Bridget because of a child. And it wasn’t right and he won’t let Brooke make the same mistake.

While this is all going on, Stephanie has quietly made her way in and grabbed Brooke by the arm and motioned her to follow her into another bedroom. Brooke can’t imagine her having anything worthwhile to say. Stephanie assures her she is on her side. Brooke quips she must have missed that memo. Stephanie reminds her she needs all the allies she can get because Massimo is against her relationship with Nick. Brooke declares that Massimo has NOTHING to do with this. Stephanie tells her not to be a fool. He has a BIG influence on Nick. Brooke assures her that she has not chosen anyone yet. Stephanie extols, “oh please, you have. Your commitment to Ridge is half-hearted at best!” Brooke says she is not going to listen to this and starts to walk out. Stephanie offers that she saw someone today, someone she hasn’t seen in a very long time. Brooke stops and turns back around. Stephanie continues, “a safe, strong, secure Bridget. She’s healthy again. She’s looking forward to the future again.” She tells Brooke that she knows she has always wanted what was best for Bridget. And Stephanie realizes the sacrifices she and Nick made. And he went back to Bridget because she was pregnant. “But, let’s face it, fate…..destiny, whatever you want to call it, Brooke, has played its hand. Ridge is your second choice. Bridget knows that; I know that, so do you. It’s Nick.” And Ridge is a strong, strapping fellow. He’ll get over it. Bridget is happy for her. Why doesn’t she let Nick be happy too?

Brooke asks, “and what about you, Stephanie? If I leave Ridge to be with Nick, wouldn’t you be the happiest one of all?” Stephanie nods that she would.

Dante assures Felicia that Dominick is all right. His favorite toy just fell out of the crib. He remarks that he knows she wants Dominick to be raised in a loving home with two parents. It won’t be Bridget and Nick, but maybe someday it could be him and Bridget. And he reveals that he loves her very much. And they both love Dominick. Maybe he’ll even have a little brother or sister, though nothing will ever replace Felicia. Felicia tears up but nods in agreement. Dante vows again to be the best possible parent he can be and give Dominick the life he deserves. She thanks him. She takes a deep breath, moans and slumps her head to the side. He can’t revive her.

Nick confesses to his pop that he knows how he feels about Brooke. Massimo raises his hand and says he will NOT change his mind about this. Fighting between brothers, fathers and sons, all over the same woman? It’s incest! And he is NOT going to have the Marone name disgraced the way the Forrester name has been disgraced. Ridge and Brooke are getting married. R.J.’s parents are going to be together. He jabs a finger in his face and says, and you are going to stay the hell out of it!” Ridge follows him out.

Stephanie politely tells Brooke that maybe for once they both want the same thing. If she marries Ridge, it’ll just be a big disappointment. She points out that Nick has never disappointed her. Ridge has, and he will again. Brooke wants to know how she knows this? Stephanie remarks that she is not trying to make Brooke’s life miserable. She would like her to be happy, just not with her son! And doesn’t Brooke want to be free of Stephanie and the eternal antagonism they have? And Bridget has found clarity in her life. Seeing the two of them, Brooke and Nick, together convinced her they belonged together. So, come on, and get over this obsession with Stephanie’s family. She has a chance with a new life, a life she really wants. “If you will just follow your heart, it will lead you right to Nick.”

Ridge, followed by Nick, barge in and Ridge blasts her to stop it. If she can’t support him and Brooke, then he wants her out of there! He looks to Brooke and apologizes, this is something he should have done a long time ago. He tells Stephanie that he and Brooke are going to be married WITHOUT her there. “In fact, we are going to spend the rest of our lives together, without you.” She starts to protest but he won’t let her. He admonishes her that no, he’s had enough. He offered her a chance to share the day with him, but look what she did! But, wait, he does want her to wait; he’d like both her and Nick to hear this.

He walks to Brooke and faces her, calls her Logan and says he loves her….more than life itself. They shared a connection for most of their lives that no one can sever. They’ve endured so much and it’s brought them to this point. “This point, out wedding day. A day to celebrate that love.” And if his mother and brother can’t support them, so be it! But, the one thing he wants to know is that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Tell him that’s what she wants.

All eyes are on Brooke yet no answer is immediately forthcoming. Stephanie says, “tell him. For God’s sake, put us all out of our misery. Tell the two of them, which one is the one that you want.”
