At Stephanie’s, Eric opens the door and there is Kristen. They exchange a big hug, words not needed to be said. She comes on in and is warmly greeted by first Ridge and then Thorne right behind. Thorne asks about Tony and Zende, and Kristen explains they didn’t come because she didn’t know what to expect. She was all set to come and see Felicia and then got this weird invitation. Ridge explains that was their little sister’s handiwork. Kristen looks to her father and asks so is he still getting married? She quips she will need a scorecard to keep track of his weddings. And she thought he and her mother were barely speaking. Thorne says he will take her bags to her room and he gives her a quick kiss in passing.

Eric tells Kristen that Felicia wanted to see this happen. It was important to her to see some peace in this family. And Felicia thinks once they do re-marry, despite her asking them to, it will be something they don’t regret. Kristen smiles and says maybe she will be right. Eric gives her a big kiss.

At Jackie’s penthouse, she is showing off her diamond engagement ring to Nick. He remarks she is gorgeous when she is happy…..and if Eric makes her happy…..She sighs and swoons that he does, oh he does! Nick gives his congratulations and says good, as long as Eric figures it out that marriage isn’t something you do when it’s too cold to play golf. She points her finger in his face and remarks that Eric wants to spend the rest of his life with her. That’s what he said. He asks if they have set a date? She wiggles out by saying THAT depends on family circumstances. He mentions Felicia. She says yes, that and he’s got to get a divorce first. She pours them some wine. Nick quips that Eric is already divorced. He teases that she should keep up with these things. He does a double take when she tells him that Eric is marrying Stephanie again tonight. And it’s only temporary. He puts the wine down and turns her around by the shoulders, and states, “he proposed to you yesterday and he’s marrying someone else tonight?” She whitewashes it that they are doing it to humor Felicia, that’s all. He tells her that is not going to happen with “MY mother!”

At the guest house, Felicia, not looking very chipper, sits on the bed in her robe while the doctor takes her blood pressure. At first she cons him that her pain is on par with about a 3, then finally admits it’s more like a 7, but no more pain medication, she does not want to be out of it. She has a very big night; her parents are getting married. He turns around to congratulate Stephanie. She starts to explain, then finally just politely says thank you.

The doctor remarks that he sees the hospice nurse came by. Felicia answers that yeah, she had brought all this stuff (we see wheelchair, walker, boxes of equipment). She remarks that dying should really attract some better designers. This stuff is so ugly. He asks how is her supply of morphine? Stephanie speaks up that stuff is so addictive. Felicia says, “yes, mother, I am going to die a dope fiend, just like you always predicted.”

She tells the doctor she knows this can not be easy on him. He’s supposed to make people better. And she knows she is sick and getting worse, but in a funny way she is better. Something is healing in her and her family. And she wants him to always know, he made that possible.

Kristen asks Ridge and Eric how bad is Felicia? They haven’t told her anything. Ridge answers she knows pretty much what they do. Eric adds that she’s not in great shape. Kristen tears up; she doesn’t know if she is prepared for this. She opines she doesn’t want to fall apart in front of Felicia; that wouldn’t be fair. Thorne returns and says he will go with her. Ridge even says they will all get through this together.

Stephanie thanks the doctor and lets him out the door. She turns to Felicia and mentions that she did not tell her that she was in pain. She quips that Stephanie is still her favorite person to lie to. Seriously, Stephanie tells her this wedding doesn’t have to take place today. Felicia eases back in bed with Stephanie pulling the covers around her. Felicia remarks that Stephanie still thinks she is doing this for her, doesn’t she? They think they will tie the knot tonight and then when she’s gone run down to the courthouse and get it untied. Stephanie deadpans that, “let me see now. Can I get used to your father again? He does kinda grow on you like a fungus.” Felicia remarks that bet she thinks he’s sorta hot to dump her for Jackie Payne? Stephanie concedes that he is moving on. Felicia says it isn’t going to happen; there is a higher court. And she’s going to be there first. Stephanie is astonished at some of the things Felicia says. Who reminds her, only to her mother!

She says here is this fantastical, interesting thing happening to her, the big one, about the sweet bye-and-bye and no one can stand to hear her talk about it. She knows her mother hates it too, but her, she doesn’t mind tormenting. Stephanie asks when did she get religion? Felicia quips she doesn’t now who to blame for that. Because, she always said she would not be that crybaby who went sniveling to church when she heard the diagnosis. And it’s not like she has any leverage anyway. She never did God any favors. Oh true, she’s not as bad as some. She never murdered anyone, but she wasn’t exactly a credit to the race either. Which is why she can not figure out why, for the life of her, why HE’S always around.

Stephanie sighs and confesses that she has been saying pretty terrible things to God lately. She confides that she promised him a lot of money; then a lot of prayers. Then she promised him she wouldn’t do again all the things she has done. She promised him all of that if he’d just keep his hands off of Felicia. Felicia asks her not to do that. “Why?”, asks Stephanie, “why shouldn’t I fight for you? Why shouldn’t I hate him?” Felicia relays to her that sometimes in the middle of the night she feels she can not breathe. And she starts to panic. And it’s so loud; like a hurricane ripping the top of her head off. She can’t find her next breath. Then suddenly it stops and it’s like someone is breathing for her. She wipes the tears from her eyes as she continues. It’s not adrenaline; it’s actually the opposite, so she advises her mother to yell at him; he’s not touchy. It’d be like yelling at the moon…….but she begs her mother not to ask him to leave her. Stephanie says okay and they exchange a knowing smile.

Kristen and the gang walk in. Felicia smiles and says she knew she would come. Felicia also says she knows she looks like hell. Kristen denies it, but Felicia says everyone now has to agree with everything she says. She makes an attempt to get up and Stephanie rushes to help her. Felicia walks on her own to Kristen, who is tearing up. Felicia calms her and says she knows what she is thinking. She thinks she is seeing the end with her Tony. But, she’s wrong. Tony is healthy and he’s going to stay healthy. She states that HIV is a relatively new disease but they are coming up with new and better things to manage it all the time. It’s not like wily, old colon cancer……end of lecture.

She remarks they are sisters and she knows Kristen loves her. They all worry about if they are equal in the end. And hey, what’s in Miami? She wishes they were closer. But, she’ll stop nagging. She’s just glad she is there now and she needs her help so badly. They give and receive a sisterly hug. Kristen is quick to ask what can she do? Felicia answers to please help her with her hair for this wedding. She jokes that she doesn’t trust Stephanie; she’ll make her look like Dame Edna. They all get a big laugh as Kristen agrees.

Eric opens the door to the big house to Nick. He barges on in and asks if they are alone? Eric replies yes, and he understands how all of this must look to him. Nick barks that he is marrying Stephanie but he’s still engaged to his mother. Eric confides that they both have drawn up pre-nups and this will end amicably as soon as it has served its purpose. Nick shakes his head no. If he’s going to stay engaged to his mother, he’s not marrying Stephanie. He wants him to call the wedding off, which Eric says he can’t do. They are doing this for Felicia. Then, Nick wants to know. Does Felicia know that he’s already engaged? He replies no, and she’s not going to know. Nick thinks that is ridiculous. She is NOT a little girl anymore, and if she asks for something really special, it’s okay to say no. Eric says maybe he doesn’t want to say no to his daughter right now. Nick says he will try to understand that, but Eric needs to also understand that he will not let his mother say yes to a man whose commitments are made out of cardboard!

Eric tells him that he likes Nick, he respects him, but he’s not marrying HIM. He warns him that Jackie has accepted his proposal and all the circumstances that go along with it. And maybe when his own daughter is born and he understands as a father, they will have more common ground to talk. But, right now he doesn’t think they have. Eric walks off.

Nick knocks on the guest cottage door and calls out Felicia’s name. When she doesn’t answer, he slowly walks in, still calling her name and asking is she decent? He finds her sprawled on her bedroom floor. He rushes to her side and helps her up. She’s okay, said she just lost her balance. She says they warned her about slipping in the shower, but not afterwards. She asks him to bring her the garment bag on the back of the chair. He does and then she asks him to sit beside her. He does that. And she oh so seriously asks if she can ask him the truth about something? He nods. She states that Kristen worked on her hair for half an hour; is it wrecked? He glances and says just a little cock-eyed. She laughs and sniffs what is wrong with her? Why does she even care? Why is she such a girl? She sobs on his chest. He tells her she can talk to him; what is it? Amid sobs, she tells him she wanted everything to be perfect, including herself. And for the first time in her life; here she’s done this really nice thing. She’s managed to pull everybody together and be good to each other and she’s forced them to remember that love can protect you from death. But, they all think it is a STUPID idea, the wedding is a joke…..she knows he does too. And now she feels she is going to stumble in like some lush uninvited.

He holds her and kisses her on the side of the face and reminds her that he is there and he will do for her whatever it is she wants him to do. She straightens up and looks around and tell him in the hanger is a dress that her dad picked out from Forrester for her. Can he help her get it on? Hesitating, he states maybe she should get Stephanie to help. She tells him that he’s already seen the goods before, besides she has already kicked Steffy out. He agrees and she says she will try to concentrate on the hair repair and maybe she won’t be such a disaster. And she begs him not to tell anybody that she cried. And why had he come to see her? He states that he just wanted to see her.

He gets up and starts to bring the walker over. She admonishes him that she is NOT going to use that thing. Absolutely not; she is not going to walk into her parent’s wedding as an invalid.

At the wedding, candles are aglow and Darla is fiddling with Thorne’s tie. Eric lets the Judge in and introduces him to his sons and Darla. Kristen descends the stairs and calls back up to her mother that the Judge is here. He gives his condolences to Eric about his youngest daughter. And she’s not well enough to be here? Ridge says she’d better be.

Stephanie comes down donned in a lovely ivory pants suit. She greets the Judge and thanks him for doing this on such short notice. Eric even compliments her on the outfit; he thinks he designed it. She replies yes, and she had Thorne update it. Stephanie asks about Felicia, and Kristen says she will go check. Stephanie wants to send one of the boys too to help Felicia across the court yard. Ridge scoffs that she won’t have any of that.

On cue, Felicia walks in all glammed up on Nick’s arm. She says hi and Stephanie absolutely beams. Felicia flirts with the Judge that he is still so handsome and thanks him for presiding tonight. And she remarks just look at them, all looking so beautiful tonight and unscathed. Like nothing could hurt them or ever would. She boasts that she thinks that is the way they are meant to be, and here they are.

Nick gives her a kiss on her cheek and tells her to enjoy the evening. Thorne steps forward for Nick to pass her off to him. They all file into the other room and Eric goes to say his final goodbye to Nick. Like a man, he thanks Nick for letting Felicia have this evening. Nick doesn’t say a word but with resolve, he shakes Eric’s hand. From the crowd, Felicia looks back and launches a big smile at her dad as they exchange a loving father/daughter special bond look.
