Lucy: Oh, my god. Kevin!

Ian: Get Christina out of the way. We need an ambulance here.

Jamal: Lucy, can I help --

Lucy: Oh, Jamal, listen -- yeah, can you get her out of here? Can you take her? I'll talk to you later, all right? Listen, do you have your cell phone?

Rafe: Yeah, yeah. Same number, ok?

Lucy: Same number. I'll call you. Thank you.

Ian: Rafe, call an ambulance.

Rafe: Got it.

Ian: Lisa, Jennifer, I need your help over here. Kevin, now, don't move. Make sure that nothing's broken. Stabilize his neck.

Rafe: Ok. Yeah, I need an ambulance. Body and Soul gym, down by the docks. Warehouse number 13.

Alison: Rafe, we should have called off the show. We should have. We shouldn't have done this.

Rafe: You had no idea this would happen.

Alison: No, but we had so many problems with Caleb and everything else.

Rafe: I know, I know.

Alison: We just shouldn't have. How could this have happened? Oh, my god.

Livvie: Daddy.

Chris: What's the status?

Ian: He's altered.

Chris: All right, I'll get him. Did you call an ambulance?

Ian: It's on its way.

Chris: Do a primary assessment. I'll get his B.P.

Jack: What happened, man?

Ricky: This huge light just fell from the ceiling.

Reese: Yeah, I saw it, too. We were about to finish the song when I looked up.

Ricky: And it landed right on top of him.

Caz: That dude has got to be hurting bad, man.

Jack: Yeah, that's -- that's Kevin.

Caleb: One of you has it. I can feel it.

Ian: We may have a head injury with possible spinal cord involvement.

Livvie: No. No.

Caleb: Hey, hey, come here. It's ok. It's all right. They're not sure what's wrong.

Livvie: But he looks so pale.

Caleb: It's going to be all right.

Livvie: Caleb, it wasn't supposed to happen like this. He wasn't supposed to be up there.

Caleb: Nothing this night turned out the way we planned.

Ian: Let's check his extremities. There's barely anything on the right.

Chris: I got nothing on the left. Where's that ambulance?

Lucy: Ian, what is it? What's going on? What's happening?

Ian: We don't know anything for sure, not yet.

Lucy: But I heard what you said. Do you think Kevin could be paralyzed?

[Captioning de possible by ABC, Inc.]

Chris: B.P. Is 130/84.

Ian: Lungs are clear, respiration's unlabored.

Chris: There's no movement on the left-side extremities. Right side's weak.

Paramedic: All right, let's get him on the gurney. Watch his neck.

Chris: Yeah.

Paramedic: Got him?

Second paramedic: Ready? One, two, three.

Alison: I can't believe this is happening. All the models were done and everybody was clapping and --

Rafe: I know.

Alison: And then I -- I mean, I was just going to get up and say something and tell everybody, "thank you so much" for all of their help and their hard work, and then Kevin got up there and --

Rafe: Come here.

Alison: He started talking.

Rafe: Stop. Stop. I almost lost you. You understand that? A few minutes longer, that would've been you.

Alison: I know. I know. But Kevin -- he was, like, just getting his life back. How did this happen? What the hell is going on?

Rafe: I don't know, but I'm going to find out.

Chris: I'm going to ride along in the ambulance.

Ian: Yeah, I'll meet you there.

Livvie: Please. Please, dad -- oh.

Caleb: Easy, easy. Tell me something. Do you have any idea how this happened?

Livvie: No. No, of course not. Why would I? Why would you ask me something like that?

Caleb: That light falling at that moment.

Livvie: I know my dad shouldn't -- he shouldn't have been up there, I know.

Caleb: I know. Alison should have, according to the schedule.

Livvie: Caleb, I'm not thinking about the schedule right now. I don't know anything about the schedule. I'm just -- I'm really worried about my father, ok?

Caleb: Of course, sweetheart.

Lucy: All right, thank you. Ok, you've been avoiding me. Please be honest with me. Answer my question. Is Kevin going to be all right?

Ian: I am being honest with you. It's tricky. We don't know anything, not yet.

Lucy: I keep getting calls from Jamal and Christina, asking if her daddy's all right. She's very scared.

Ian: Call her back, tell her not to be scared. I will do everything I can.

Lucy: I know you will. Thank you.

Ian: Come here.

Alison: I can't even believe this has happened.

Elizabeth: Neither can I. It's so horrible, what happened to Kevin. God, baby, when I think that that could've been you up there --

Alison: I know, I just -- I know. Rafe said that, too, but I just pray that Kevin's ok. I can't stop thinking about him.

Elizabeth: You don't think he'll sue, do you?

Alison: What?

Elizabeth: Well, I'm just being practical. I mean, I don't think that he would, but --

Alison: What is the matter with you? That is the farthest thing from my mind! Why would you say something like that?

Elizabeth: Kevin is a very, very strong man. I should know. If anybody's going to make it through this, it's him. He'll be ok.

Alison: Right. Look, I need to go talk to Livvie.

Elizabeth: Sweetie, I don't -- is that such a good idea?

Alison: Yeah, I just -- I wish I knew what to say. Livvie. Livvie, hey. I'm really sorry about your dad. I don't know what happened.

Livvie: I know. I'm just -- I'm going to go to the hospital. I'm going to go see him at the hospital.

Alison: Will you let me take you or something? My car's right out front. I could drive.

Livvie: No, no, I'm fine. Caleb's going to take me.

Alison: Ok.

Caleb: Listen to me, listen to me. You go with Alison, all right? Your dad needs you. I'm going to catch up with you as soon as I can.

Livvie: Caleb, what if he's --

Caleb: Don't even think that way, all right? Don't even think that way. He's going to be all right.

Livvie: Ok.

Caleb: Ok? Come here.

Livvie: Ok.

Caleb: I love you. You be strong.

Livvie: Ok. I love you.

Alison: Come on. I'll take you. Come on.

Caleb: Thank you.

Caleb: I was so close. It was almost mine.

Rafe: What's the matter, Caleb? Night not go quite as planned?

Reese: Just another great show.

Ricky: Yeah, it sucks about Caleb, though.

Reese: Bad luck.

Jack: Is that what you'd call it? Bad luck?

Ricky: What would you call it?

Jack: Just another night in Port Charles. It hasn't ever occurred to you that people in this town get more than their share of bad luck?

Ricky: Where are you getting that, Jack?

Jack: You know what, I don't know. I don't know.

Reese: I think you're being paranoid.

Jack: No, I've been here longer than both of you. What happened tonight -- well, it seems like a lot more than bad luck.

Caleb: I would say it's pretty obvious. Tonight was close to a total disaster.

Rafe: Yeah, in more ways than one.

Caleb: I don't have time for your games. I just want to get my stuff and go be with Olivia. In case you hadn't noticed, she's pretty upset.

Rafe: Yeah, I noticed that. I noticed you're pretty upset, too, but I bet it has nothing to do with Kevin.

Caleb: Whatever. I just want to go.

Rafe: Ok. By the way, I really liked your new song.

Caleb: Thanks.

Rafe: Yeah. It's too bad it didn't bring in the prize.

Caleb: Well, you know, you can't blame a guy for trying.

Rafe: Did you really think that would work? I mean, you know, whoever had the ring would be so mesmerized by your voice that they would just walk forward like a zombie and just hand it over to you?

Caleb: Oh, ye of such little faith. I can be very persuasive.

Rafe: Yeah, maybe. Apparently not tonight.

Caleb: Might have happened if circumstances had been different.

Rafe: Yeah, well, it wouldn't have happened on my watch.

Caleb: Well, we'll never know, will we? But hey, tomorrow's a new day.

Rafe: Yeah. When are you going to let it go?

Caleb: When are you?

Rafe: You know, get out of here.

Caleb: As soon as I get my things.

Rafe: Get them later! I want you out of here now!

Caleb: Or what? When did you become so big on ultimatums?

Rafe: You know what, I don't need an ultimatum. This is my place. Now get the hell out of here.

Caleb: Yeah. You're not worth it. Not tonight. I will find it. It's just a matter of time.

Chris: Head C.T. was questionable for a small bleed, and the c-spine showed a vertebral fracture of c7.

Ian: All we can hope for now is that there's no permanent cord damage.

Chris: I'm going to call neurology, tell them we need a consult.

Ian: Get Dr. Light, please. She's the best.

Chris: I'm on it.

Ian: Hey. Thank you.

Kevin: You.

Ian: What is it?

Kevin: Why you?

Ian: Because right now I'm the best chance you have.

Alison: Hey, I'm really sorry. Maybe I can get you some water.

Livvie: I don't want anything.

Alison: Or some tea or something --

Livvie: No, Alison! Really. I'm sorry, I just -- I don't want anything. I really just need to be by myself right now.

Alison: Ok. Ok. I don't know what happened.

Elizabeth: Alison.

Alison: I just don't know how that light could have fallen. I really don't.

Elizabeth: Sweetie, it wasn't your fault.

Alison: No, it really was my fault. I mean, that was our show and it was my gym. I'm 100% responsible for that.

Elizabeth: Alison, you never could have predicted anything like that at all. You didn't do anything negligent. You hired a very competent electrician to hang the light.

Alison: Everything was going so well. I don't understand.

Elizabeth: Well, that's at least one thing to be thankful for.

Alison: What?

Elizabeth: Well, before this awful accident happened, everyone did really seem to be enjoying the clothes.

Elizabeth: Well, it is true.

Ian: Kevin, look out!

[Christina screams]

Livvie: God, how did it all go so wrong? I had it perfectly planned. Why did you have to go up there, daddy?

Rafe: Livvie. Hi. For whatever it's worth, I'm sorry about your dad.

Livvie: Thank you.

Rafe: So, you know, just let us know if you need anything, all right?

Livvie: Ok.

Christina: I want to see my daddy.

Jamal: Ok, ok, that's fine, but the doctors are working on him right now, ok? So just sit right here.

Imani: Yeah, and they're taking really good care of him, ok? You don't have to worry about anything.

Christina: Where's my ring?

Imani: Your ring?

Christina: I can't find it. It's gone.

Jamal: Well, maybe you can tell us what it looks like, and maybe we can help you find your little ring.

Christina: It's big, gold, and shiny. It has a bird on top.

Jamal: A bird? You mean like a bat?

Jack: You don't believe me, right?

Reese: No, Jack. I believe you've been living here too long.

Jack: Yeah, maybe you're right.

Ricky: No, wait a minute, Reese. Maybe Jack's on to something, here.

Reese: Not you, too.

Ricky: No, think about it, Reese. I mean, we've had rehearsal in the last month, what, maybe once or twice?

Reese: Well, that's rock 'n' roll for you.

Jack: No, that's Caleb putting everything else on hold while he concentrates on something he wants very badly.

Jamal: Ok. Christina -- ok, can you remember where you got this ring from?

Christina: I found it.

Jamal: Ok, you found it, but where did you find it, though?

Christina: By the water.

Jamal: By the water. Is this like by the river water, where the river is great, it had to be the river.

Imani: Jamal, what's wrong? Hey, wait a minute, is this the ring? The ring that Caleb was talking about?

Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, it's exactly that ring. Ok, Christina, when was the last time you saw this ring?

Christina: At the party, before daddy fell.

Jamal: Ok. Ok, and at the party, did you happen to wish for anything? You did? What did you wish for?

Christina: I wished daddy could come and live with me and mommy again.

Jamal: Look, can you watch her for a second?

Imani: Yeah, of course.

Jamal: All right, cool.

Rafe: Hello? Hello? Hey.

Alison: Hey.

Rafe: Any word on Kevin?

Alison: No. No.

Rafe: You know, at least we know he's getting the best care possible, right?

Alison: Yeah, I hope so, but nobody's telling us anything and it's making me more worried by the minute.

Rafe: Livvie's a wreck.

Jamal: Hey. Hey, sorry to interrupt you guys.

Rafe: What's up?

Jamal: Yeah, can I talk to you for a second? Alison, do you mind if I talk to him for --

Alison: Oh, no, no, that's ok. I'll go get some coffee for all of us.

Jamal: I'm good.

Rafe: Yeah, me, too.

Alison: Ok. I'll be right back.

Jamal: Ok. Hey --

Rafe: What's going on?

Jamal: It's about Caleb's ring.

Rafe: What about it?

Jamal: Can I talk to you for a second?

Rafe: Ok, why do I get this feeling I'm not going to like this?

Jamal: Remember how I told you that I lost it?

Rafe: Yeah. You were lying?

Jamal: No, no, I did lose it. But then I found it again.

Rafe: You what?

Jamal: Well, somehow Jack got a hold of it, but I talked him into giving it back to me.

Rafe: So, what are you telling me? You have the ring?

Jamal: No, I don't have it. I did have it before I chucked it into the river.

Rafe: You -- what, you chucked -- please tell me you're kidding.

Jamal: Look, I thought it was best for everybody, ok? It was nothing but trouble. I talked to you and you said you would do the same thing, so I chucked it.

Rafe: Yeah, but I would've told you what I did. Jamal, I've been knocking myself out over this thing, and you're telling me you had it? And you know where it is? You threw it in the river? What's that?

Jamal: Look, I don't know, man.

Rafe: You don't know? You don't know what? What?

Jamal: It's back.

Rafe: It's back?

Jamal: Yeah. Little Christina -- somehow she found it by the river. It must have washed up or something. I don't know.

Rafe: You're telling me Christina has it?

Jamal: No. No. No, she doesn't have it. She lost it.

Rafe: Oh, good. Good.

Jamal: I know.

Rafe: This keeps getting better and better.

Jamal: I haven't even told you the half of it yet.

Rafe: Well, keep talking because I'm listening.

Jamal: Well, Christina must have stumbled on how to use it. Basically, the ring grants wishes, ok?

Rafe: You sure?

Jamal: Yeah, I'm sure. I tested it out.

Rafe: And?

Jamal: And pretty much anything you want, you just say the word and it's yours.

Rafe: Oh.

Jamal: See?

Rafe: No wonder Caleb's so hell-bent on getting it back.

Jamal: Yeah. Now you see why I chucked it into the river?

Rafe: So does Christina know where she lost it, last time she had it?

Jamal: Last place she said she saw it was at your gym, at the party.

Rafe: Caleb.

Caleb: I'm not giving up! And when I have the ring, then you'll all know what hell is.

Caleb: You came back to me. You came back to where you belong. I have back what is mine.

Chris: Morphine's knocked him out.

Ian: It's probably for the best. I'm going to go talk to Lucy.

Chris: Ok.

Lucy: So, how is he?

Ian: We gave him something for the pain. He's sleeping.

Lucy: Is he going to be all right?

Ian: We've done what we can. Sorry I can't tell you what you want to hear.

Lucy: Don't you have any idea at all?

Ian: If you're asking me if he's going to live, yes. The answer is yes.

Lucy: That's good.

Ian: If you're asking if he's ever going to walk again, there's a possibility that he won't.

Jamal: Rafe, look, if Caleb had the ring, we would know about it by now.

Rafe: But what if he does, huh? What if he finds it? Do you realize what that would mean? Think about it for a second. If all Caleb's wishes come true, it could destroy us all.

Caleb: And the world is mine again.

Stay tuned for scenes from the next "Port Charles: The gift."

On the next "Port Charles" --

Kevin: I can't move. What happened?

Caleb: You tried to set Alison up. Your father got in the way.

Livvie: What?

Caleb: You did this to him.
