singer: One to one, then you're gonna have to fix it, no more hiding from

Cass and Mick: Yeah!

Cass: Yeah, baby.

Mick: Yeah!

Jamal: All right, where is she?

Joshua: You gentlemen certainly know how to make an entrance.

Ricky: Oh, cut the crap, Joshua. Where's Marissa? We know she's here!

Joshua: Marissa's working and she's absolutely fine.

Ricky: Yeah, well, she didn't sound fine when she called us on her cell screaming.

Reese: Screaming sometimes can be good for the soul.

Jamal: Shut up.

Ricky: Maybe on your planet.

Joshua: I can assure you Marissa’s fine, and we are in the middle of a session. Now, either you can leave quietly like good little boys, or else –

Jamal: Or nothing. You're going to tell me where she is, or I’m going to start tearing this place apart.

Joshua: I'm sorry, but that's –

Jamal: Or I could start tearing you apart. Take your pick.

Joshua: I don't think so.

Marissa: Hey! Hey, let me out! Ok, you know what, this is not the Stephen Clay experience I had in mind! Jerks. Oh. Ok. All right. All right, you want to make beautiful music with me, huh?

Huh? Ha! So then why don't you just show yourself, ok? Because you know what, this whole shy artist act thing is getting really old, really lame, really fast! Oh. Oh, my god, gardenias. I love gardenias. Mmm. Yeah, it's my favorite junk food. Oh, no, no, no, no, no -- double fudge chocolate cake? Oh, how could you possibly know?

[Music plays]

Marissa: Oh, God, this music. This music is great. It's like -- it's like I can feel it.

Marissa: "For so long I’ve been searching for something rare, elusive. I'd almost given up, but finally I found you, the one to put words to my music to give voice to the stories in my soul." Signed, Stephen Clay. Oh, my -- un-freaking-real.

Livvie: God, I love you, Jack. It's always been you. You've always protected me.

Jack: Shh.

Livvie: That's how I know you're going to protect us now. Just me and the baby -- you're going to take care of us, I know you will. I know it. You will.

Jack: Your hands are freezing cold, Livvie.

Livvie: Oh –

Jack: Look, I think you're in shock.

Livvie: No. No, jack, I'm going to be fine. Just take me home, ok?

Jack: Livvie –

Livvie: Take me home to our little house by the river -- just you, me, and the baby -- please.

Jack: You have to listen to me.

Livvie: We're just going to have -- we're going to sit up all night and we're going to -- and we're going to talk by the fire –

Jack: All right, look, I'm going to take you to the hospital. You need to go to the hospital right now, all right?

Livvie: No!

Jack: You need to see a doctor.

Livvie: No. Please. Don't do this to me, Jack, please.

Jack: You need to see a doctor.

Livvie: No. They're going to take her away from me, jack. She's all I have. Don’t. Please, don’t.

Jack: Your baby's gone.

Livvie: No.

Jack: I'm sorry.

Livvie: No! Stop it! You're just saying what they told you to say. You're lying!

Jack: No.

Livvie: Ow!

Jack: Livvie, I've never lied to you before. Look at me. Listen to me -- you cannot believe that I’m lying to you right now. I wish I could make this better. I know how bad you wanted that baby, but it's too late.

Livvie: She's gone? Oh, dear God. Oh, God! Oh, no! Oh, no, Jack, I lost my baby! Oh, no, I lost her!

Lucy: Steady, Livvie, steady. What are you doing out here wandering alongside the road? Do you know I almost hit you with my car? Come on, we got to go back to the hospital.

Tess: No!

Lucy: Yeah, we do. Don't be silly, you're very sick. They can take care of you at the hospital. Come on.

Tess: No, no!

Lucy: What's the matter with you? Come on, you're looking at me like you don't even know me. Livvie, no matter what's happened in the past, we're still family of some sort. Come on, Livvie.

Tess: No -- Tess.

[Captioning made possible by abc, inc., And soapnet]

Livvie: Oh, I promised her, Jack. I promised her I wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Jack: It's not your fault, Livvie.

Livvie: Yes, it is.

Jack: No, it's not.

Livvie: And now I have nothing. This was my one chance to make things right again -- my last chance.

Jack: And you still can.

Livvie: No! No, nothing will ever be right again, not after what's happened.

Jack: You could've done nothing to prevent that.

Livvie: Ow!

Jack: Come on, let's go.

Livvie: No! If I hadn't been so full of hate, so determined to hurt the way I've been hurt -- if I would've just counted my blessings, she'd still be here with me. Jack, she'd still be mine.

Jack: Ok, look, you're running a fever. You do not need to be talking like this.

Livvie: No –

Jack: I really need to get you –

Livvie: No, no, it doesn't matter. No, it's too late, Jack.

Jack: Come on, let's go.

Livvie: She's gone! It's too late.

Jack: Well, it's not too late for you, and I’m not going to let you die!

Livvie: Oh, come on! You're saving me for what? I have lost everything and everyone I ever -- ow!

Jack: I'm going to take you to the hospital.

Livvie: No –

Jack: You can't have this pain. They're going to get rid –

Livvie: No, Jack, don't you understand? My life doesn't matter anymore.

Jack: Well, it matters –

Livvie: Not to me.

Jack: It matters to me, Livvie!

Livvie: It does?

Jack: Yes. I'm not going to let you die.

Livvie: After everything I’ve done?

Jack: I'm still here, aren't I?

Livvie: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Just like you've always been there for me when I needed you. Oh, Jack, you still love me. You still love me. Ow! Ow! My baby.

Tess: Tess. Tess.

Lucy: Tess? Who in the world is Tess? Oh, my God, Livvie -- is Tess the name of your baby? Did you already name her and –

[Tess groans]

Lucy: That's the doll's name?

Tess: Oh –

Lucy: Livvie, I'm so sorry you lost your baby, but we need to go.

Tess: No –

Lucy: Livvie, listen to me. We have got to go to the hospital.

Tess: Need jack.

Lucy: All right, I will call jack. I will call jack just as soon as we get to the hospital. Hang on just -- just a second.

[Phone rings]

Ian: Thornhart.

Lucy: I found Livvie.

Ian: How is she?

Lucy: I don't know. I don't think good, Ian, at all.

Ian: Bring in her in here. We'll be ready for her.

Lucy: Ok, I'm on my way. Hey, come on. Look, we need to get to the hospital. You don't have much time. We really need to go now.

Tess: No -- no --

Lucy: No, no one blames you, Livvie, for anything –

Tess: No!

Lucy: Come on, let's go. Listen to me -- this is not time for one of our stupid fights. I don't need your attitude. I'm trying to save your life! Livvie? Livvie?

Singer: Listen to the cries

Marissa: "But finally I found you, the one to put words to my music."

Singer: If you really want to meet me one to one

Marissa: I can't believe you chose me, Stephen.

Ricky: Well, here we are again -- two big-time heroes.

Jamal: Uh, the –

Ricky: Man, why'd you have to threaten him?

Jamal: What? Because I'm -- because he had Marissa. What was I supposed to do?

Ricky: Let me handle it.

Jamal: Let you handle it?

Ricky: Yeah, let me handle it.

Jamal: Oh, yeah, right, you were a big help in there. Like -- besides, how was I supposed to know that they had that big crew to jump us?

Ricky: You know what? Just chill out. Maybe Marissa is in some other room, writing some new lyrics. Maybe she's -- I don't know –

Jamal: Maybe what? Hey, maybe about this -- maybe Santa Claus is going to come and untie us –

Ricky: All right, you know what?

Jamal: And get her, and then we can go take a ride on his sleigh.

Ricky: Chill out, all right? I'm worried about her, too, so get off my back.

Jamal: Look, just try to untie me, ok, because I can't get this. The -- yeah –

Ricky: You know, this was supposed to be my big break.

Jamal: Your big break?

Ricky: Yeah, my –

Jamal: Are you crazy, man?

Ricky: What?

Jamal: Huh? This has been just crazy from day one.

Ricky: Get your hands over here.

Joshua: I'm sorry I had to restrain you, but you were naughty boys.

Ricky: Yeah, well –

Joshua: You started to get violent.

Ricky: We're sorry about that, all right, Joshua? Right, Jamal?

Joshua: So no more talk about busting up the place?

Jamal: Yeah, well, I'm concerned for Marissa.

Reese: You worry too much. Now, sweet lips here –

Joshua: Untie them, Reese.

Jamal: Now I'm going to ask you one nicely one more time -- where's Marissa?

Joshua: If you'd asked me nicely in the first place, we could've avoided all of this unpleasantness.

Jamal: Great.

Joshua: There's our sweet little prodigy, all safe and sound.

Jamal: Marissa. Marissa, hey.

Hey, Marissa.

Marissa: Jamal! Oh, my God, Jamal, it's been so amazing.

Ricky: Yeah, well, we heard you screaming on the phone, Marissa.

Jamal: Yeah, we thought something bad happened to you. What's up? Are you ok?

Marissa: Oh, no, no, Jamal, something great happened to me.

Ricky: Yeah. Something really great happened to us, too.

Jamal: Yeah, yeah.

Marissa: Oh, oh, look, I'm sorry I really scared you guys if I did.

Joshua: Your lovely friend has been our honored guest.

Marissa: Honey, Jamal, I heard Stephen Clay's music -- a new song. A new song, and it -- oh, my God, it was awesome.

Jamal: Ok, that's –

Marissa: No, no, no, listen. It's like I understood every beat, every single amazing note. It was like I knew exactly -- I knew exactly what he was trying to say, and so I just started putting it into words and then that's what all of this is.

Jamal: That's great, ok? That's great. Why don't you tell me about that at home, ok?

Marissa: No –

Jamal: Come on, come on –

Marissa: No, no, not yet! Jamal, I -- look, I'm -- I'm just on a roll right now writing these new lyrics. I don't want to leave.

Jamal: Ok, ok, but Joshua here -- we were interrupting his rehearsal and he would like us to go. So let's go. Ok?

Marissa: Ok.

Joshua: In the meantime, Marissa –

Marissa: Oh –

Joshua: Why don't you give that to me, and I'll give it to Stephen.

Marissa: No, it's ok. You know what, I got to do some polishing on the lyrics, so, you know, I'll just hold on to it and then you could do whatever you want with it later.

Jamal: Ok, let's go. Ready to go?

Marissa: Yeah.

Jamal: Ok.

Marissa: I'm telling you –

Jamal: Ok –

Marissa: It was amazing. You should see what I wrote.

Jamal: Ok.

Joshua: Marissa? Don't forget your flower.

Marissa: Tell Stephen I said thank you.

Jamal: Thank you. You had me scared out of my mind.

Marissa: Honey, it's ok. I'm ok. Look –

Jamal: I don't know what would've happened.

Marissa: I'm fine.

Jamal: If something ever happened to you, I don't know what I would do.

Ricky: That's ok, just pretend that I'm not here.

Jamal: What? What's up, dude?

Ricky: So, Marissa, now that you're so tight with the great Stephen Clay and you've listened to his new tracks, how about getting us in to meet the guy?

Marissa: Actually, I think we've already met him.

Jack: Can I get some help? Can I get some help here, please?

Deniece: Don't worry, Jack. Dr. Thornhart's been alerted. They're getting the O.R. Ready for Livvie.

Livvie: Oh –

Ian: Let's put her on the gurney. Nice and easy.

Deniece: Ok.

Livvie: Ow!

Ian: Where's Lucy?

Jack: What do you mean? Why would Lucy be –

Livvie: Ow!

Ian: It's ok, we'll take care of you. Take her up to O.R.

Jack: I'm going to be right here, all right? Ian's going to take care of you, ok? I'll be here when you wake up.

Livvie: Promise?

Jack: I promise.

Livvie: Because I'm really scared, Jack. Please –

Ian: It's all right, jack can come with us. We got to go now.

Jack: Let's go, let's go. It's ok, I’m going to be here.

Lucy: Livvie, it's ok, I've got you. Listen, you're going to be fine. We're going to make sure of that. Why don't you sit on the couch –

[Tess groans]

Lucy: Ok, you're going to be ok -- and I'm going to go get Ian. I'll be back in a flash. Don't worry, ok? No, no, it's ok. I'll be right back.

Tess: Thank you.

Lucy: You're welcome. I'm going to help you through this, I promise. I'll be right back. I'll be right back.

Ricky: What do you mean, we've met Stephen Clay? I think I'd remember something as major as that.

Marissa: Uh-uh, not if you didn't know it was him.

Jamal: You know what? I'm through with all these mysteries for one day.

Marissa: Ok, ok, wait.

Ricky: All right.

Marissa: Ok, say -- say you were a recluse, all right?

Ricky: Mm-hmm.

Marissa: And you valued your privacy above anything else, but then you always had to be in the thick of things because of your profession. Ok, what do you do?

Jamal: I don't know.

Marissa: Simple, honey. You hide behind another identity, like your manager. Oh, my gosh, you guys –

Jamal: Oh, so you think Joshua is Stephen Clay? You think they're the same person?

Marissa: Yes, yes, yes! Think about it -- it all fits, right? Joshua is the one who led me here. Joshua is the one who saw what I was eating at the restaurant. And guess what -- he had the stuff waiting for me here.

Ricky: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Marissa: Right. See?

Ricky: I get it. So he's the caterer/rock star/manager. Yeah, it all fits.

Marissa: No, Ricky, you saw how badly he wanted my lyrics.

Ricky: That doesn't mean he's Stephen Clay.

Marissa: Oh, please, it is so obvious he's Stephan Clay. Stephen and Joshua are the same person.

Jamal: Wait, wait, stop, stop –

Ricky: Shh.

Jamal: I don't give a damn about Stephen Clay! I don't like his music. All right, look, something stinks about this whole deal, ok? Plain and simple, flat-out.

Marissa: Honey, the man is a genius.

Jamal: The man is a control freak.

Marissa: Maybe. But I understand him. I understand why he needs to hide his real identity, why he needs to be this mystery man.

Jamal: Ok, so, if Joshua is Stephen Clay, then I say we call him on it.

Marissa: No!

Ricky: Yeah.

Marissa: No!

Ricky: Why not?

Marissa: You guys, no. No one is telling a soul, ok? I have guessed Stephen’s most private secret, and we are keeping it. Promise me that. Jamal?

Jamal: Hmm?

Marissa: Promise me.

Livvie: Jack, listen to me. If anything happens to me –

Jack: No. No, don't talk like that.

Livvie: I just wanted to say that I’m sorry for all of the awful things I've done to you. You have been so good to me, and I've just hurt you.

Jack: None of that matters now, ok? None of that matters.

Livvie: Right. Because you're here with me.

Nurse: Livvie, the doctor's going to give you something that's going to make you sleep now.

Livvie: You used to always watch over me while I slept, Jack. Even when I was dreaming, I could feel you protecting me. Could you just stay here until –

Jack: I'm going to be right here. I'm going to be right here.

Nurse: Ok, she's out.

Jack: Ok. Just take good care of her, all right?

Nurse: Ok.

Jack: Oh -- oh, shoot. I promised Tess that I’d be right back.

Deniece: Hey, you are going to stick around until Livvie gets out of surgery, aren't you?

Jack: Uh –

Deniece: I think it's important.

Jack: Right. Look, I'm just going to go get some coffee.

Deniece: Ok.

Lucy: Livvie, I paged Ian. Livvie?

Livvie? Livvie!

Ian: Hey.

Lucy: Oh, hey. Listen, I found Livvie, but I lost her. Thank God I found you. I –

Ian: She's in the O.R. She's fine.

Lucy: She's in the O.R.? How? I just left her a minute ago.

Ian: She's being prepared for surgery right now. I've got to go.

Lucy: Wait, wait, wait. How did she seem to you? Did she seem a little strange, kind of different?

Ian: Different how?

Lucy: Well, I don't know. At first i thought she was having some sort of nervous breakdown because of losing the baby, but now –

Ian: No, she's just a very sick girl, that's all.

Lucy: You didn't pick up a strange vibe? I got the most –

Ian: A vibe? You have one of your feelings again? All right, let's -- we'll talk about –

Lucy: No, no, no. She seemed different, like, sweet and unlike Livvie.

Ian: Listen to me. Listen –

Lucy: What?

Ian: Listen. Sit down.

Lucy: Well, why?

Ian: I'm going to go fix Livvie, all right? You do me a favor -- stay here, don't play with your crystals or your cards. No investigating this. Stay here, please. I don't want to have to worry about the both of you.

Lucy: Ok, I won't budge. I promise.

Ian: Ok.

Lucy: Ok.

Ian: And when it's done, I'll come back and I’ll try and find you, all right?

Lucy: Please do.

Ian: Ok.

Lucy: Ok.

Oh. I don't care what you say. I'm getting a spooky little feeling running up and down my spine. What is that about? That strange music and Livvie’s personality change -- something is not right. I can feel it.

Tess: Jack.

Jack: Did someone call my name?

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port Charles: Naked eyes."

>> On the next "port Charles" –

Lucy: Something out there is messing with us again, and I just keep getting this feeling, stronger and stronger and stronger.

Rafe: Whatever it is, I don't like it. I'm starting to feel like I'm going nuts.

Joshua: It's your services that we don't want. We're never going to let Marissa go.
