Port Charles Transcript Tuesday 10/08/02

By Amanda

Christina: Mommy, mommy, I'm up.

Lucy: Hmm, oh. Sweet pea, come here, come here. It's very, very early, you know?

Christina: Uh-huh, but I've already watched cartoons.

Lucy: You did? Wow. Mommy and daddy need a little more sleep, ok?

Christina: Is Ian my daddy now?

Livvie: No, it can't wait. It has to happen now. Yes, that's right. Rafe Kovich.

Rafe: Thanks, anyway. Bye-bye.

Alison: The police haven't found jack? There's no new leads at all?

Rafe: They are going to keep looking.

Alison: Rafe, I'm starting to get worried that something really actually happened to him.

Rafe: Hey. We'll find him, all right?

Alison: Yeah.

Rafe: Ok? We will.

Alison: Ok. I know.

[Knock on door]

alison: I hope so.

Jamal: Hey.

Alison: Hey.

Jamal: What's up?

Alison: You guys are back. So, what, did you find anything at all?

Jamal: No.

Marissa: We searched the whole area where jack's bike was found and --

alison: Nothing --

jamal: Nothing.

Alison: At all?

Jamal: Well, the good news is that jack is not at the bottom of the river, so --

marissa: Yeah.

Alison: Yeah, that is good news, but that means he's still missing and nobody knows where he is at all.

[Timer rings]

jamal: Yeah.

Alison: Just a second. I'll be right back.

Jamal: So, how's she holding up?

Rafe: She's ok. Starting to get to her, though.

Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, her and me both. Kind of -- i don't know.

Jamal: What's that smell? I could swear it was -- oh, my gosh --

alison: Muffins.

Jamal: Ali's muffins.

Alison: I had to do something. Those ones aren't as hot as the ones I just took out of the oven, but --

jamal: Wow, wow, wow!

Alison: These are jack's favorites.

Jamal: I know they are. Nobody could put these away like our boy.

Alison: I know. Nobody can do a lot of things like jack can.

Jamal: Hmm. He's one of a kind, huh?

Alison: Yeah, he's one of a kind.

Jamal: Oh, my -- do you remember when he pretended to be chandler?

Alison: How can I forget? That's when we all came together.

Marissa: I don't understand. Who's chandler?

Jamal: We forced jack into pretending like he was alison's, like, stiff-shirt boyfriend, you know, in front of her grandmother so her grandmother wouldn't know that she was really going out with me.

Alison: Yeah, but you almost --

jamal: And she didn't like me.

Alison: Ruined it when you showed up at the restaurant. You were spying on us.

Jamal: What are you talking about?

Alison: You did.

Jamal: Well, he almost blew it. He thought we were crazy and he was going to bail.

Alison: We were crazy there. We were a little crazy, anyway.

Jamal: Yeah, tell me about it.

Alison: Yeah.

Jamal: Damn, these are good.

Alison: Yeah, you guys -- well, three of us have really been through a lot together, huh?

Jamal: Yeah.

Rafe: You know what? You're going to go through a lot more. I'm telling you, we're going to find jack, he'll be ok, and you-all will get in a lot more trouble. I am sure of that.

Alison: Yeah, I hope so.

Marissa: You know, plus, you got to remember that even though we haven't found jack yet and he's still -- no, I'm ok -- haven't found anything that proves that he's not ok --

alison: But if he is ok, then why hasn't he called? If he's fine and nothing's happened, then where is he and what is keeping him from us?

Jack: No, it's just that you look like someone I used to know. It's really weird. Anyway, you know, my leg -- leg is almost as good as new. I don't know what you did to it, but it definitely feels better. How did you learn how to do that -- I mean, living down here in this cave and all? You know, I have so many questions that i want to ask. I just can't understand why you look so much like livvie. You -- you can't answer me, right? I mean, I know you understand what i'm saying, but you can't speak? All right. Oh, you know -- you know what? But I got a great idea. Why don't you come back to town with me. You know -- whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa, it's ok, it's ok. It's ok. I have a brother and some friends that are doctors. They help people and they can help you. You know, if we just go back -- are you scared to leave here? You're not still afraid of me, are you?

Christina: Is he, mommy? Is ian my new daddy now?

Ian: No, no, no. Uh, lucy -- your mother and I -- we're just -- we're good friends, you know. And -- and i'm danny's dad. Kevin is your father and he's -- you know, he's -- I'm -- if I --

lucy: Uh, what ian is trying to tell you is, you know, what happened is we were so tired. We were just sitting here talking on the couch and we fell asleep together, and kevin is still your daddy. Your daddy is your daddy and he always will be and he -- he loves you very much. In fact, i was just dreaming about him, because, you know, he's missing us as much as we're missing him and he's trying very, very hard to get better so he can come back home to us. Can you understand that, pumpkin head?

Christina: Uh-huh. Kevin's still my daddy.

Lucy: Yes. He is, he most certainly is. You come here and you better squeeze me. Give me a big old, big old, big old hug.

Christina: I love you, mommy, and daddy, too. I'm going to go draw a picture for when he comes home.

Lucy: Oh, your daddy would love that very much. I love you, too. Ok, use all your crayons. Draw like crazy and we'll give it to him when he gets home, ok?

Christina: Ok.

Lucy: Ok, I'll see you in a minute.

Ian: Well, you handled that a lot better than I would've, so --

lucy: Uh, yeah. Well, um, you know, you -- just a simple matter of you being caught off guard there.

Ian: Yeah, we both were. You explained it well and without making a big deal out of it, and that's the important thing.

Lucy: Right, except maybe it is a big deal.

Ian: There's no -- no, it's not a big deal at all.

Lucy: My 3-year-old daughter just walked in here and saw me in your arms on the couch asleep and assumed that you are her new daddy. I think maybe that's saying a lot.

Ian: Come on, what it's saying is that we were tired and fell asleep on the couch as friends. It happens. It's -- it's nothing. What?

Lucy: Maybe what it's saying is that I shouldn't be spending so much time with you, i should be spending more time with my husband.

Jack: I can understand why you're scared, but you don't have to be, if you let me take you to this hospital, and I promise you I will never leave your side. I just want to help you, just like you helped me, you know? Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Ok, ok. You know, we don't have to go. We can stay here. But I'm not leaving you alone. If you stay, so am I. But you know what? I really should call my friends, just so they don't worry about me, and let them know that i'm ok. So do you think you could give me my phone?

Jamal: I mean, jack's going to turn up probably any minute now. Probably going to walk right through that door wondering what all the fuss is about.

Alison: Good. I'm sure you're right --

jamal: Ok.

Alison: But this isn't like him.

[Phone rings]

alison: He hasn't done this in a really long time.

Jamal: All right.

Alison: Not just call like this.

Marissa: Maybe that's news.

Jamal: Yeah, well --

alison: I hope it's good news.

Jamal: Jamal. What's up? Talk to me.

Jack: Hey, man, it's me.

Jamal: My baby boy! What's up --

alison: Is it him? Is it jack? Is he ok?

Jamal: It's jack, it's jack. Dude, what's going on? Where have you been? Are you ok? What? Where have you been?

Alison: Where is he?

Jamal: The whole town's out looking for you.

Jack: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Look, I'm sorry. I've kind of been out of touch.

Alison: Is he?

Jamal: He's fine. He's fine. He's fine. He's fine. He's good. Yeah.

Alison: Good, thank god.

Marissa: Where is he?

Jamal: Hey, jack, jack, where you at, dude?

Jack: Well, I'm not far. I -- i just kind of needed to get away.

Jamal: He just needed to get away, that's all, ok? He's fine, he's fine.

Alison: He what? He needed to get away?

Jamal: Yeah, he's --

alison: You needed to get away? Jack ramsey, we have been looking all over for you. We were scared to death that maybe something had happened to you.

Jack: Alison? Oh, oh, god, please -- please tell me you didn't come back because of me. Please tell me that.

Alison: No. Actually, I had to come back anyway. I came back with rafe.

Jack: Rafe?

Alison: Yeah. He's back and we are back together.

Jack: What about livvie?

Alison: She -- um -- she's still around, but rafe is going to get their marriage annulled. And, um, there's one more thing i want to tell you. We're getting married.

Jack: Married? Wow.

Alison: I was wondering if you would be my maid of -- my man of honor.

Jack: Your -- your man of honor? Oh, come on, alison. Is there such a thing?

[Woman laughs]

alison: There is now. What was that?

Jack: What?

Alison: Don't "what?" Me. You have some girl there, don't you? You're shacking up with some girl!

Jamal: Oh --

alison: You haven't been gone --

jamal: Hey, no, no, no, no. For all the drama that you caused, this girl better be slamming, I'm telling you.

Jack: Yeah. You can't even imagine.

Ian: It's your guilt talking again.

Lucy: Yeah, maybe.

Ian: It's not going to help kevin.

Lucy: Well, what is going to help him? Certainly not gallivanting all around new york with you. I mean, I've had a great time, maybe too much fun, you know. It -- it's not that I don't appreciate what you're trying to do for christina. I -- i really appreciate it. But, you know, maybe i should just be with him. Maybe he needs to know i'm close by and be beside him. He needs that now.

Ian: Well, you tried that already.

Lucy: If you had somebody you love so very much and they were sick, wouldn't you want to be with them night and day --

ian: He doesn't have a stomach ache or -- or a flu or something. The man tried to kill you. He doesn't even know who he is right now.

Lucy: I know who he is, and I know who he can be and who he will be again. So why shouldn't i go over there? Why don't I need to go?

Ian: Because I'm asking you not to.

Lucy: What? What? That doesn't make any -- any sense at all. I am leaving. I am going right now.

Ian: You're going to leave because of something that christina said.

Lucy: Yeah, maybe a little part of that. Give me my bag back!

Ian: Well, I need you to think about that.

Lucy: You -- maybe you need to do some thinking here. What are you telling me, that i shouldn't go be with my husband? What is this about? Is this because -- maybe you don't like kevin. You never really have liked him, have you?

Ian: That's not fair. This has nothing to do with the way i feel about kevin.

Lucy: What does it have to do with if it's not the way you feel about kevin? Maybe it's the way you feel about me.

Ian: What? What are you -- what? No, I'm --

lucy: Maybe what this is all about is you want me all to yourself.

Alison: Jack, in all seriousness, you have no idea how happy we are to hear from you.

Jamal: Yeah, yeah. I didn't want to have to break in a new guy at the shop and everything, you know.

Alison: Stop it. Don't tell him that. He doesn't mean that. He was really, really worried about you.

Marissa: You, on the other hand, were so sure that we'd find jack alive.

Rafe: Well, I just had a feeling, you know?

Marissa: Yeah, and you were right.

Rafe: I don't know. I'm just glad everything worked out.

Marissa: Yeah, me, too. Me, too, because i actually had the opposite feeling. I swore something bad had happened. But then again, with all the stuff that's been going on in my head lately, it's really no surprise.

Rafe: What kind of stuff?

Marissa: You know, just stuff like people dying really young.

Rafe: You mean, like your sister, which, by the way, you are --

marissa: That's right, you knew casey.

Rafe: Yeah. Quite well, actually.

Marissa: See? See? I mean, I just think it's so unfair. You know, all this time I grew up with this great, this loving family in this beautiful, nice house, everything. Anything i could've wanted, while my sister, she had nothing. And then -- and then she died before i even had a chance to meet her or help her, just even be close to her. God, rafe, 19. 19 years old and then -- pow -- like that, game over.

Rafe: Oh, not exactly.

Marissa: Oh, what, you mean, like, she's in heaven?

Rafe: As a matter of fact, she's probably still kicking ass up there as we speak.

Marissa: Right. So you believe in all of that, huh?

Rafe: What can i tell you? See, casey was the kind of girl that had "guardian angel" written all over her. I wouldn't be surprised if she's watching over you right now.

Alison: Oh, you can'T.

Jack: I can't really talk right now, but i just wanted to let you guys know that i'm ok.

Alison: Wait -- we've been waiting for you all this time and you're not even going to give us any details at all?

Jamal: Stop, stop, stop. Give the guy a break. Damn.

Jack: Thank you, jamal.

Jamal: Don't go thanking me just yet, ok, because if you disappear on us like that again, you're going to wish i never found you.

Jack: Fair enough. Oh, and, alison?

Alison: Yeah?

Jack: Congratulations. I am really glad to have you back.

Alison: Thank you.

Jack: And I would be honored to be your man of honor.

Alison: Thank you. We love you, jack. Bye.

Jack: So, you laughed. No, no, no, no. That's a good thing. Laughing is a good thing, trust me. Besides, you have a very beautiful laugh. I cannot get over how much you look like that girl I was telling you about -- livvie? You wouldn't, by chance, know her?

Jack: Right. I guess not. Still, you could totally pass for her twin. Oh, my god. What if you are?

Jamal: Can you believe that guy? I mean, he gets us all worked up like that --

alison: I know.

Jamal: And it's because he's putting in work on some broad.

Marissa: She must be some pretty hot stuff, right?

Jamal: You know what I'm saying?

Alison: I don't care if she has three heads, just as long as she's not livvie.

Marissa: Ahem.

ian: You think I have the hots for you?

Lucy: Well, it's -- you know, we're sort of no strangers to that territory, if you know what i mean.

Ian: Now, you know -- why are you even bringing that up? That's ancient history. I mean, what -- you know, what are you doing? Why are you even bringing this up?

Lucy: But -- but, whew. What are you doing if it's not kind of true? Why are you getting so worked up there?

Ian: Because you're making it sound like i want to -- I want to be with us -- want to be with you 24/7. Let me tell you -- no. No, let me tell you something -- you're not as much of a joy to be around as you may think you are.

Lucy: Oh, no?

Ian: No. Hell, no, and let me tell you why.

Lucy: Oh -- ow!

Ian: Because as soon as you find a moment's peace, you can't stand it. The only time you're happy is when you're torturing yourself and everyone else around you.

Lucy: Oh, really?

Ian: Really.

Lucy: Yeah. Ok. You know what? How about this -- no one, absolutely no one, came and held a gun to your head to make you drag me to this city and drag me all over it, hey? Hmm? Ha!

Ian: Yeah -- no, good point. That's a good point. What i should've done is put you on the first plane to switzerland, just you and your ugly luggage so you can go over there and bore the poor, unsuspecting swiss into oblivion with your never-ending hand-wringing about kevin! "Oh, ian, should i do this? Should i do that? I don't know what I'm going to do here." It never ends --

lucy: Did you just say the b word? Did you just call me "boring"? Did you -- nobody ever has called me "boring"! I am not boring!

Ian: That came out -- I didn't mean "boring." That's not what I -- what i meant was "tedious." You are a tedious bore. That's what I meant to say -- a tedious bore. Oh, will you look at that? I broke lucy. You got nothing to say. That's got to be a first.

Lucy: I have something to say. I'm going to say it right now. Hmm. There!

Ian: You didn't just hit me with that pillow. Tell me you didn't.

Lucy: Oh, my. You didn't feel that? I guess your head is just too thick and your brain too dense to feel it, so i'm going to have to do it again. Here i go!

Ian: How old are you? That's very childish, very immature.

Lucy: You know, it is childish. It is, it's so childish. But it just feels so darn good! Huh!

Ian: Does it feel nice?

Lucy: Yeah.

Ian: Oh, let's have a shot, then, shall we? You see --

lucy: Ow!

Ian: It does feel good. I like it.

Lucy: Oh, my gosh, I cannot believe you just did that! You know what? You are mine! You are doomed! You are out of here! You are going to be smothered! Ow! Ow!

Ian: Hey --

lucy: Stop it! Ow!

Ian: Ok, ok, ok!

Lucy: Ow! Oh!

Ian: All right.

Lucy: Oh!

Ian: I got --

[ian coughs]

lucy: I can't breathe! Get off of me! I can't --

kevin: Hi, honey. I'm home.

Jack: I need to call you something. Hmm. Your doll. "Tess." Is -- is "tess" your doll's name? Ok, ok. You know what? I'm going to call you tess. Ok? I'm jack. You're tess, i'm jack. Now, i want you to repeat after me -- you say "jack." All right. Ok. I'm not going to push it. Don't want to move too fast here. Um -- just so many things I want to know about you, like how you got here and -- it's not going to happen, is it?

Tess: J- jack. J-ack.

Rafe: What do you want, livvie?

Livvie: Did I just hear you say that jack was seeing someone? Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, i'm not going to set her hair on fire or anything.

Alison: Oh, good, that's reassuring. Thank you.

Livvie: Look, I don't mean to interrupt this little party of yours, but I came here to see rafe.

Jamal: Um, marissa and I were just walking out down the street and everything. Why don't we walk you out. You want to come out with us?

Livvie: Get your hands off me, jamal, please. I came here to see rafe. There are some things I need to talk to you about.

Rafe: It's ok, thanks.

Jamal: What about you, ali? You cool?

Alison: Yeah. No, I'm fine.

Jamal: You sure?

Alison: Yeah, thanks.

Jamal: Because I --

alison: Yeah. No, it's fine.

Rafe: So, what do you want to say?

Livvie: It's more something i want to give you. Hmm. In fact, it's for both of you.

Alison: My god, what are you doing?

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port charles: Naked eyes."

>> On the next "port charles" --

marissa: I want my book of poetry back.

Ricky: I threw it out.

Marissa: You what?

Livvie: Good riddance to the both of you.

Kevin: What i really needed to do is talk to my wife. Imagine my surprise to find the noble dr. Ian by her side -- again.
