Port Charles Transcript Wednesday 10/2/02

By Amanda

Kevin: I truly appreciate everything that you and your hospital have done for me, doctor. You've helped me see how overwhelmed and stressed my life had become. And I still can't believe some of the things that i said -- and did. But I think I really understand where all that was coming from now, and I think I've made great strides since I've come here.

Doctor: I'm glad you're feeling better.

Kevin: I am. I really am. And I think that, doctor to doctor, you would agree that the best medicine for me is to be around the people who love me. I miss my wife. And this may be difficult to understand, but i think if i were near her -- I supposed you'd have to know her to really understand -- there's just no way I could not get better. She wouldn't allow it. So i think the best thing for me is to be near my family, to be with my wife.

Lucy: That phone call -- no one was there? They just sat there listening? They didn't say anything?

Ian: Nah. Probably just had the wrong number.

Lucy: Yeah, right.

Ian: What?

Lucy: Well, it's just the last time that there was a phone call like that where nobody said anything, they just sat there, you know --

ian: So you think this was kevin?

Lucy: I didn't say that. I don't know. I -- there is just the strangest feeling I have right now.

Ian: Well, then, let's call him, make sure he's ok. You want to do that?

Lucy: Ok, maybe --

christina: Mommy, mommy!

Lucy: Hey, pumpkin-head.

Ian: Hey.

Lucy: Ooh, come here. What's the matter? Did you have a bad dream?

Christina: Mm-hmm.

Lucy: Oh, boy. Was it that really scary one you have sometimes? Ok, listen. We know what to do to fix that, don't we? Yeah. Ok, you sit here a minute with ian. I'm going to call room service, ok? Ok, don't move. I'll be right back.

Ian: Come here. Hi.

Lucy: Yes, hi. This is ms. Coe-collins. Right. Listen, I need a nice, big glass of warm milk sent up right away, ok? What? Say that again. 30 minutes? How can it -- fine. I will be right down to get it myself. Ta.

Ian: I'll get it for you.

Christina: No, mommy. Only mommy knows how i like it.

Lucy: Ok, then. Hey, pumpkin-head, i'm going to go down and get it for you then, ok? And you stay here with ian. Are you sure you can hold down the fort?

Ian: Sure.

Lucy: Ok, then. I'll be right back. Don't worry, all right? I'll be right back. Ahem. All right. Stay right there.

Ian: Hey. Hello there. So, what do you want to do? You want to watch some hockey? Or -- or color? Do you want to -- or you want to -- you can play with your dolls maybe? Is that what you want to do? Anything you want, princess.

Christina: A tea party.

Ian: What -- a tea party? Well -- um -- I'm more of a pub man myself, but, you know, it's your call, if that's what you want to do. So all we need is -- what -- a teapot and some cups.

Christina: That's not how you play it. First me and mommy got to dress up.

Ian: Oh.

Marissa: What are you doing?

Ricky: Just curious what you're working on.

Marissa: It -- it's just another article. What else would I be working on?

Ricky: It must be due soon. I haven't seen you come up for air since I walked in here.

Marissa: How long have you been standing here?

Ricky: Not long. Actually, I just woke up.

Marissa: You're kidding me, right?

Ricky: No, I was out late last night.

Marissa: Oh, my gosh! Ricky, your gig at the club! How did it go?

Ricky: It went great.

Marissa: Yeah? Good.

Ricky: I thought you and jamal were going to come.

Marissa: Oh, yeah, that's right. Sorry. You know, we were just waiting for jack back at my place, and then he never showed up, and so we kind of sort of got --

jamal: Hey.

Marissa: Caught up with stuff --

jamal: What's up, baby? Sorry, you guys -- have you seen jack?

Ricky: Uh-uh.

Marissa: No, baby. You still haven't got ahold of him yet?

Jamal: No. He hasn't returned any of my messages from last night or this morning.

Marissa: Well, wasn't he supposed to open up the bike shop, right?

Jamal: Yeah, yeah, he was, and he blew that off, too. Something's not right. Where the hell is he?

Jack: Oh. Oh. Well, definitely wasn't dreaming. Ow. Whoa. What is this? My leg -- that definitely feels better. I'm not sure what this --

[woman hums]

jack: Hey. Pst -- hey, you. What -- look, I can hear you humming. Why are you hiding from me? Hey. Listen to me. Why won't you let me see you? I just want to see who's taking care of me.

[Captioning made possible by abc, inc.]

Frank: I just need to understand the custody issues involved. What -- what are my rights to the child? Yeah, right. Well, that -- that won't be hard to prove with livvie, but nobody fights dirtier than she does. Ok. All right -- all right, well, thanks for taking the time to meet with me, kate. Uh-huh. Yeah. See you then. Karen.

Karen: You're going after custody of yours and livvie's child?

Frank: I just set up a meeting with kate to discuss it, but -- the thought of livvie raising a kid is pretty scary, don't you think?

Karen: Yeah.

Frank: So, where -- where does all of this leave us?

Karen: Well, I was up all night thinking about that. I made a list of all the plus and minuses in our relationship.

Frank: And?

Karen: And the minuses won by a mile.

Marissa: Wait, wait -- wait a minute.

Jamal: What's up?

Marissa: You know what, honey?

Jamal: What?

Marissa: Didn't -- didn't you say that jack was still hung up on this doll?

Jamal: Yeah. Yeah, that's right. He said he wanted to go back to the woods to take some more pictures, find out whose it was.

Marissa: Right. So, then, you think something might have happened to him while he was out there?

Jamal: I don't know. But I'm going to find out.

Marissa: Well, honey, I'm coming with you.

Ricky: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll all go.

Jamal: I'll grab the car --

ricky: All right.

Jamal: And meet you guys out front.

Marissa: Ok. Hey, wait! Give that to me! What are you --

ricky: What, you mean this?

Marissa: Give that --

jack: Look, I know that you've been taking care of me. And whatever you did to my leg, it definitely feels better, and I thank you for that. But why won't you let me see you? I mean, it's not like I'm going to hurt you. If you just come a little closer, maybe we can talk and work through this together. Ok, you know what? All I remember was running, and I fell, ok? And the next thing i knew, I woke up in this cave. Now, if you could talk to me and help me understand what's going -- ok. Maybe we can talk a little bit and help each other through this. You know? You know what? I'll go first. I'll go first. My name's jack -- jack ramsey. I live in port charles. I work in a bike shop. I'm a photographer. Sometimes, i like to think i'm kind of good, but -- you know, pictures -- uh -- you know what? Enough about me. Are you -- uh -- that's definitely not working. Jokes. Do you like jokes? I know a few jokes. Ok. This horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, "hey, what's with the long face?" Oh, yeah, that's not funny, is it? I'm definitely not a funny guy. Ok, you know what? I'm starting to get a little irritated here.

[Woman hums]

jack: This is a little freaky, ok? The last time I was lost in the woods, I got bit by a vampire.

[Woman giggles]

jack: Ok, that was not intended to be funny, but we're making progress here. Now, maybe if we could --

[woman hums]

jack: Oh -- what -- what's that song you're humming?

[Humming stops]

jack: No, no, no, no, don't stop, don't stop. Keep -- keep humming it. I kind of -- i kind of like it. It's -- it's nice. Ok -- or not. Look -- I probably have some friends that are out looking for me. And I really need to get ahold of them because I really don't want them to worry. Will you please hand me the cell phone so i can call them and let them know where I am? That's all i -- all I ask.

Jack: Yeah, that's good. Just hand it -- oh.

Ian: Another cup for me. Thank you very much. Yeah, that's enough. Hmm, lovely.

Lucy: All righty, then. One nice sippy cup of warm milk coming right up. You look absolutely gorgeous.

Christina: I did it.

Lucy: You did a fantastic job. But there is one teeny, tiny thing i just think that would perfect it completely. What do you think? You tell me what you think. Look, we add this -- voila. And then, perhaps, we do this, and he is parfait monde. What do you think? Beautiful?

Ian: Your mother's a riot.

[Lucy laughs]

lucy: And ian is awfully sweet and a lot fun, isn't he? So, you know what time it is, though, missy? Hey, we got to get rid of this hat. We got to get you in bed. Come on. Take your milk. Let's go. And you, mister, don't you -- missis -- excuse me -- don't you dare move. I'll be right back. Quick, quick, off to bed. Got to drink your milk.

Ian: Huh. Not a word. Not a word to anyone.

Lucy: Uh-uh. Uh-uh.

Ian: This is pretty ridiculous, isn't it?

Lucy: No. It's pretty great. Oh, but your lipstick is just smudged right there.

Ian: Hmm? Can't have that.

Lucy: No. No, no, we can't have that at all. Thanks.

Doctor: I don't think you're ready to leave this hospital yet.

Kevin: Doctor, I'm not so naive to think that i've made a full recovery. But you see how much progress i've made since I arrived here. I really believe that being with my family, my wife, could only help me.

Doctor: Even if I thought that you were ready to leave here tomorrow, which i don't, you still have criminal charges pending. Wouldn't you rather have a completely clean bill of health before you have to face a court hearting?

Kevin: Yes. Yes, of course.

Doctor: Well, we'll revisit this again. But for now, the meds are working well, so we will continue with this course of treatment.

Kevin: Well, thanks for hearing me out.

Doctor: No problem. I'm just glad to see that you're making so much progress.

Karen: I just want a normal life for once and a family of my own one day.

Frank: So you've made up your mind?

Karen: No woman in her right mind would stick around.

Frank: Yeah.

Karen: Which goes to show i'm not in my right mind because I love you, frank.

Ricky: Chill. What are you getting so worked up about?

Marissa: I don't like people going through my stuff, ok?

Ricky: Stuff that you're going to publish for the whole town to read?

Marissa: You know what? Maybe I don't want anyone reading my articles before they're done, ricky.

Ricky: You want to know what i think?

Marissa: You know what? I can't even imagine what goes on in your head.

Ricky: I think that that little book of yours is a diary.

Marissa: You are so wrong.

Ricky: No, I'm not.

Marissa: Oh.

Ricky: And you don't want me to look at it because you're lying.

Marissa: Come on.

Ricky: You do remember kissing me, and

it's in your little diary

marissa: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa -- what? Me kiss you? Yeah, in your dreams, garza.

Ricky: No, marissa, in your dreams. See, you kissed me when you were sleepwalking at the motel.

Marissa: Well, if i did, it doesn't count.

Ricky: Oh, yeah?

Marissa: Yeah.

Ricky: Right. Aren't your dreams what people are afraid to do when they're awake?

Marissa: I am not casey. Ok, I am not my twin sister. How many times do I have to keep telling you that? Jeez, ricky, look, i know you may have been in love with her, and for whatever reason -- god only knows -- she was in love with you, but I am not her, ok?

Jamal: Um --

marissa: Get over it.

Jamal: I'm sorry. Excuse me. You guys ready to go yet?

Marissa: Yeah, definitely.

Jamal: Go find jack.

[Woman hums]

jack: This is great. This is great. So you're not going to answer me about my cell phone?

jack: You know, I don't even know why you're helping me -- helping me with my leg and all and not even helping me call my friends and tell them where i'm at.

jack: Ok. You know what? It you're not going to help me, will you at least give me a drink of water? I'm dying of thirst here.

jack: Please.

Jack: Ow. Ow. Ah. Ugh. Ok. All right. Come on, jamal. Please answer the phone.

Frank: Did you just say --

karen: I still love you, frank.

Frank: Even after everything?

Karen: You did travel through time to save my life.

Frank: And I'd do it again. I -- i know what life is like without you, karen, and there is nothing worse. I am sorry that I drove you away with all of my baggage.

Karen: More than your average person.

Frank: More than a 747.

Karen: Yeah.

Frank: But, hey, I am going to make it up to you if it takes me the rest of my life.

Karen: Well, it just might. And we're going to take it slow, frank.

Frank: Thank you for -- for hanging in there with me. For still loving me.

Lucy: Well, who would've guessed it?

Ian: Guessed what?

Lucy: That you would make such a hot woman?

Ian: You know, funny, i was checking myself out in the mirror, and you're right, I'm not --

lucy: So you just sort of turned yourself on there, didn't you?

Ian: Wee bit. Is that weird?

Lucy: Oh, but you, foxy lady, definitely turned on christina. You were a big hit with her.

Ian: Ah, it was fun.

Lucy: No. You know what it was? You were being a good sport. And I appreciate it. You know, she came out here and she was scared to death, and you made her smile again and you made her little eyes twinkle again, and she could go to sleep. So i really, really do love you for that. Really, really, I do.

Ian: That's for all the times you got lipstick on me.

Lucy: Thanks.

Ian: So, what do you think? Should we call kevin?

Lucy: No. You know, it just -- who knows? It could have been a wrong number, and I can't go jumping at everything that happens, right? You -- you know, i -- I don't think tissue is going to make it here. I need to go get a chisel and a hammer. Maybe a jackhammer, and --

ian: Oh.

Lucy: I'll -- I'll be right back with that makeup remover.

Ian: That's quite a smile you got there, lucy coe.

Kevin: I'm a lot better now, lucy. But I need you. So what are you doing in new york? I need you to be with me, and you need to be with me.

Jamal: Hey, marissa, can I check out that picture that you pulled out earlier?

Marissa: Yeah, here -- here it is, man.

Jamal: All right, cool. Cool. Now, does this look like the same place that he took the picture?

Marissa: You know what, jamal? All these trees pretty much look the same to me.

Jamal: Ok, ricky, what about you? Does this look familiar? Right here, look. Does this look familiar?

Ricky: Sorry.

Jamal: Ok. Come on, jack. Where are you?

Jack: There's no signal.

[Muffled] ah! Help! Help!

Ricky: Hey, hey, hey, hey -- guys, did you hear that?

Jamal and marissa: Hear what?

Jamal: No.

Ricky: It was a noise, over there. It was like a cry or a scream maybe.

Jamal: Well, let's go, then. Jack!

Marissa: Jack!

Jamal: Dude, are you out -- jack, are you out here?

Ricky: Jack? Where are you, jack?

Jamal: Jack!

Marissa: Jack!

Jamal: Jack -- hey, man, you out there?

Ricky: Yeah, just yell if you are, jack.

Jamal: Dude -- we'll find you, dude. Just yell, ok? But let us hear you!

Ricky: Jack!

Marissa: Jack!

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port charles: Naked eyes."

>> On the next "port charles" --

alison: Jack? I'm home. I'm back.

Livvie: You.

Jamal: Give me your flashlight, ricky. Come on.

Ricky: Yeah,>yeah.

Jamal: Take a good look down here.
