Livvie: Jack? Jack, are you there? It's me.
Jack's voice: This place is magical. It brought us back together.
Livvie's voice: Isn't it amazing? The two of us going off in different directions and it all happened to lead us right to this door?
Livvie's voice: You know, jack, you are my home. You are where I feel safest and loved.
Jack's voice: Welcome home.
Livvie: My god. What happened? How did it all go so wrong? We had everything. I mean, I had -- I had everything -- a man -- a man to love, who loved me back, and friends, the most incredible, wonderful friends.
livvie: How do you just lose it all in the blink of an eye? How did this all go so wrong? Alison. It's all her fault. I hope she rots in hell.
Rafe: Good morning.
Alison: Oh. Oh, thank god. Oh, thank god that wasn't a dream. Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Rafe: No. This is as real as it gets. And I'm not going anywhere, ever again.
Alison: Let's just stay on this train like we talked about, ok? Let's ner get off. Let's just stay and just ride it out.
Rafe: Well, why don't we just stay in this bed, huh?
Alison: I could do that. I can do that.
Rafe: I just can't get over it. Us -- together, a whole lifetime together.
Alison: I know. I mean, ever since that you and I have loved each other, I mean, we've had this -- like, this ticking clock hanging over us. And no matter how much we wanted to be together, how much we loved each other, we knew that it really couldn't last. But think of it. I mean, now, you and i -- we can make plans!
Rafe: A future, our future. Wow, i never thought i'd be able to say that word. But, you know what? Truthfully, I'm pretty much digging the present right now. You know? Just how smooth your skin feels up against mine and how incredible you smell. How sweet your lips taste.
Lucy: Oh, yay! We made it! Ok, you two, listen. It's time for your nap. Come on, you want to take your bear with you?
Lucy: Come on, you.
Ian: Oh, they need a nap, do they? Ah, right.
Lucy: Come on. Well, wait till you see what we have planned for this afternoon. Come on, sweet pea, let's go.
Ian: This afternoon? Oh, great.
Ok. Got the park, the zoo, the carousel, and 10 blocks of shopping, all before lunch. It's got to be a record, even for you.
Oh. Home sweet home, huh?
Lucy: You know what's really weird? They just fell on the bed. They didn't even complain. They're out.
Ian: Imagine that.
Lucy: Nothing. Nothing. I just keep picturing the look on your face when you almost fell off the carousel when you were reaching so hard to grab that brass ring.
Ian: Oh, yeah. Story of my life. But it was worth it just to see you smile again.
Lucy: You know, I think that's sort of the hardest part to handle, is --
ian: Is what?
Lucy: Well, I'm --
ian: Having a good time?
Lucy: Yeah. Having a good time while doc is in some hospital thousands of miles away.
Ian: So what do you suggest we do? We feel guilty? It's going to help him get better? Help the kids? Because we can do that. I mean, there's no one better at guilt than the irish.
Lucy: You know something? It just must be god-awful for you, huh, being right all the time?
Ian: It's a burden, but, you know, you get used to it.
Kevin: Lucy? Where's lucy? I need to talk to my wife!

Rafe: Whoa. What's so funny?
Alison: I'm sorry. I was just thinking about, what if we actually stayed on this train like we had talked about? People, like, knocking on our door -- "let me in!" "Let me in!"
Rafe: Well, what's to stop us? I'm game.
Alison: I was going to leave port charles, anyway.
Rafe: And I've got no ties there. Anymore. Of course, there's lucy. And we can send her a post card.
Alison: Yeah. Yeah.
Rafe: So i found out that -- that the baby livvie's carrying isn't mine.
Alison: Yeah. How do you feel about that? Because I know that, you know, you were really growing to really like the idea of being a father and raising a family and being a part of that.
Rafe: I want that with you, alison. I've only ever wanted that with you.
Alison: Someday. Someday.
Rafe: Someday. You know what? Right now -- right now is our time.
Rafe: Just to be together, and just you and me, you know? And you know what? We should stay on this train. That's what we should do. And we should just take it as far as we want and just see where it takes us, just see where life takes us. As long as we're together, nothing else matters, right?
Rafe: So what do you say?
Alison: I just can't believe how lucky I am.
Rafe: You? Are you looking at this face?
Alison: Yes, but all the miracles that you've ever given me -- I mean, how do i begin to repay you? Actually, I guess someday.
Lucy: Ok. You know, you're right. I definitely should just stop feeling guilty because -- well, for one thing, doc wouldn't like that. In fact, he would hate it. In fact, he told me that I shouldn't wait, I should just move on. That was certainly a stab in the heart.
Ian: I'm sorry.
Lucy: No, it's -- it's ok. But you're right. All this we're doing, you know, it's good -- being away and everything, so -- I want to say thank you for this trip and for everything.
Ian: You know, truth be told, I should be thanking you.
Lucy: And that would be for what?
Ian: I really did have fun today.
Lucy: I'm really glad.
Ian: And I thought I'd forgotten how since --
lucy: I know, since eve.
Ian: It's the first time in a long time that ache inside me didn't hurt quite as much. So maybe some of the preaching that i'm doing, you know, this free advice that I'm giving you -- maybe some of that applies to me as well. Maybe time does heal a lot of things. Time and good friends.
Lucy: Good friends. Yeah. You are my friend. My friend. I'm -- i mean, you're -- you're my best friend. But I --
ian: But -- but what? What are you --
lucy: Well, I -- i -- no, I just -- I've been thinking about this, and I just -- it may come out wrong, but I'm, you know -- I'll say it anyway because that's what I do. I want you to be happy, so i think eventually, you know, down the road, someone's going to call and you're going to meet them and you're going to fall madly in love and I want that for you desperately because I want you to be happy. You -- you of all people deserve to be happy.
Ian: Well, you, too. I mean, we both do. What are you --
lucy: Well, I know, but, no. It doesn't work that way for me. It's different. I mean -- see, doc's here, but -- i mean, he's not here. It's really worse than when he was missing.
Ian: Lucy, I --
lucy: No, now I know where he is, see. He's there in that hospital, but it's not really him. It's just some stranger. You know, he has the face of the man that I love, but he's just some evil thing. So i'm not sure what i deserve. What do I do with that? I mean, how do i move on from that?
Kevin: Thank you. You know, I really don't know what the hell I was thinking, telling lucy not to wait. I mean -- I don't know really where that came from, but, you know, knowing her, she's probably been glued right by the phone waiting for me to call.
Lucy's voice: Hey, it's lucy. I'm going to be out of town for the next few days --
kevin: It's this machine.
Lucy's voice: But if you need to reach me, you can get me in new york at the plaza hotel.
Ian's voice: Lucy, let's go!
Lucy's voice: Coming. Ok, I have to run. I will definitely call you when i get back. Ta.
[Answering machine beeps]
kevin: I don't believe it. She's with him.
Livvie: Jack, we were so happy here once. But now that seems like a million years ago.
Jack: Rise and shine.
Livvie: Jack? What's going on?
Jack: But you have overslept. It's time to get ready.
Jack: Yeah. Jamal and alison are coming over for dinner, remember?
Livvie: I don't understand. Aren't -- aren't you angry with me?
Jack: What would i have to be angry about, livvie?
Livvie: Where do i begin, jack? I mean, caleb --
jack: Whoa -- caleb?
Livvie: And alison and the candle shop and how i lied about my father and -- they hate me. You all -- you all hate me.
Jack: Hey, i don't know what you're talking about. You're not making any sense.
Livvie: Oh. Oh, my god, I must have been dreaming.
Jack: Sounds like more of a nightmare to me.
Livvie: It was a nightmare. Jack, it was horrible. You didn't love me anymore. I thought -- I thought I'd lost you forever.
Jack: Well, that is never going to happen, because i can never stop loving you.
Livvie: Everyone thought i was this terrible, evil person, and they hated me, especially you and alison.
Jack: Well, you have quite an imagination. I love you so much, livvie, and I always will.
Livvie: Jack loves me. They all still love me.
Alison: Ok, rafe, let's see if you can guess what i'm spelling, ok? Don't look.
Rafe: Ok. I. O. Sounds like -- I'm not -- u. U.
Alison: I-o-u, because I do. I owe you, sealed with a kiss. Tell you, rafe, I owe you for my -- my life, my love. I owe you for everything. And I am going to enjoy every single minute of repaying you for it.
Rafe: Let me just look at you.
Lucy: Eato dquite like that. You probably don't even know what the heck I'm trying to say or what I'm talking about.
Ian: No, I -- I think I do. You can't mourn the man, not really, because he's still here, see? You can't allow yourself to heal.
Lucy: That's it. I -- i guess -- you understand things.
Ian: Well, I wish i could tell you that it's all going to be fine, that he's going to snap out of this and --
lucy: No, I know you can't tell me that. Nobody -- nobody can tell me that.
Ian: No, but maybe I can tell you something, something that i do know. We have to be strong and capable and in control for our kids, even if it's the last thing we're feeling.
Lucy: That is just so hard sometimes.
Ian: Yeah, I know. And I remember when -- when eve died, i -- I was a mess. I mean, you know, you were there. I did try to find a reason every day just to get out of bed in the morning. And then you reminded me of -- of the most important reason.
Ian: He's -- he's been through so much, you know -- losing his mother and I wasn't there for him and I knew i had to snap out of it. You know, I owed him that much, and I owed it to eve, the same way that you owe it to christina. You got to be strong, ok?
Lucy: I -- i know. You're right. You're -- you're so right. She -- she really needs me to make her feel safe and protect her. It's just -- what about us grownups?
Ian: I don't know. You take care of christina and I'll take care of you.
You have to promise me no more bad dreams like that ever again.
Livvie: Yeah. I just -- god, i just really thank god that's all it was. It was just so horrifying and -- and real of what my life had become.
Jack: Hey, hey. Look, don't think about it.
Livvie: It's just i felt so empty. I felt so empty inside without any love in my life. It felt so empty without you in my -- my life, jack. Jack? No -- jack, please. Please, jack! Please don't leave me alone. No. No, where did you go? Why did you all have to leave me? Oh.
Ian: Kids still out?
Lucy: Yeah, like little angels, just sleeping there like, I don't know, they don't have a care in the world.
Ian: As it should be for the wee ones.
Lucy: Right. What about us big ones, the not so wee ones, huh?
Ian: You'll get through this. We'll get through this, I promise you.
Lucy: Somehow, knowing that you're going to be by my side, I think I believe that.
lucy: Oh, it's the phone! It's the concierge. I begged her for those "lion king" tickets. You answer that phone and tell her we need them desperately. Oh, I hope she got them. Cross your fingers. Come on, come on, come on. Cross your toes.
Ian: Cross my fingers. Hello. Hello? Hello. Is anyone there? It must be the wrong number.
Kevin: No, I've got exactly the right number,
Rafe: I am marking this i.O.U. Here "paid in full."
Alison: No, you're not, because I haven't even begun.
alison: But you know what? I think what we can use is a little mood music.
Rafe: I couldn't get much more in the mood than I am right now, but, sure, if you say so.
Alison: Sure, you can.
[Alison turns on radio]
alison: I'm not really sure what this gets, but -- that's pretty good, don't you think?
alison: Now, where were we? Rafe? Whoa. What's the matter? You ok?
Rafe: I just got a weird feeling. We got to go back.
Rafe: We have to go back to port charles.
>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "port charles: Naked eyes."
>> On the next "port charles" --
karen: I made a list of all the pluses and minuses in our relationship.
Karen: And the minuses won by a mile.
Doctor: I'm just glad to see that you are making so much progress.
