Ian: You ok?

Eve: I'm scared to death.

Ian: I told you I'd go with you. All you have to do is ask.

Eve: I know, but this is -- this is something I have to do alone. Once I tell Kevin that I'm in love with you, the fact that I'm alive might not be such good news.

Ian: I'm not moving from this place till you get back. I promise you.

Eve: I will run, not walk to get back here with you, my love. I promise.

Kevin: Oh!

[Kevin sighs]

Lucy: Ok, so it should be illegal to feel this happy.

Kevin: Yeah. Well, I guess they'll just have to cart me off to the slammer, then. You said something the other night that suddenly I realized what you meant.

Lucy: Oh, I say way too many things. What did I say?

Kevin: "Welcome home." I realized you weren't talking about this place or any place. You were -- you were talking about right here. You and me. You're my home, Lucy.

Eve: Oh, man. Kevin, why didn't you hide the key under the mat like you wanted to?

Lucy: Are you expecting somebody?

Kevin: No.

Lucy: Oh. Well, maybe you should answer it.

Kevin: Like this? Nah, I don't think so.

Lucy: I don't think they're going to go away.

Kevin: Well, they will if we ignore them.

Lucy: What if it's something very important?

[Louder knocking]

Kevin: There's nothing more important than right here.

Eve: Oh, you're probably on duty.

[Brakes squeal]

Ian: Eve!

Kevin: Did you hear that?

Lucy: Yeah, what -- what was that?

Kevin: Sounded like brakes screeching.

Lucy: You know, I bet someone just took that corner too fast.

Kevin: Well, it wouldn't be the first time I feel like I'm living in the Indy 500. I better make sure everything's ok.

Lucy: Ok, you do that, and I'm going to go take a nice, hot, steamy shower.

Kevin: Now, that sounds good.

Lucy: Well, why don't you join me when you get back?

Kevin: I might. I'll be there. This won't take long.

Ian: Ok. You have a blanket? Hey, Lambert. Come on, Eve. You're ok. You're ok.

Chris: I'm sorry. Maybe I have treated you like a little fragile porcelain doll or something. But it's only because I care.

Livvie: Yeah, I know, Chris. It's just that I'm so tired of having to defend my actions and I didn't think I had to do that with you.

Chris: No, and you don't. You don't. I'll do better. Anyway, it's late. I should go.

Livvie: Chris, I really like spending time with you. It's just that I'm really tired right now.

Chris: No problem. Sleep tight.

Livvie: I will.

Answering machine: You have no new messages.

[Livvie sighs]

Man: And what do I do if this Jack calls?

Chris: No, when he calls. You do whatever you have to. You give him the runaround, you lie, you just don't let him near or put his calls through to Miss Locke.

Jamal: She call yet?

Jack: No. Know what? I'm going to call. Do you mind?

Jamal: Go right ahead.

Jack: Come on, come on, come on.

Man: Port Charles Hotel.

Jack: Uh, yeah, yeah, Livvie Locke, please.

Man: Who's calling?

Jack: Jack. Jack Ramsey.

Jamal: Hey, you know you can hang with me and Ali if you want, man.

Jack: Ah, thanks, man, but I think I'll be talking to Livvie here in a sec.

Man: Sir?

Jack: Uh, yeah, yeah, I'm here.

Man: I'm sorry, Mr. Ramsey. Miss Locke still isn't answering. I can take a message if you want.

Jack: No. No, that's all right. I've already left a couple. Thanks.

Jamal: You know, a girl finds out a guy has a little bit of a record, it'd probably wig her out a little bit.

Jack: Livvie's been through her own stuff. She doesn't judge people. We've got something, man, because I can't stop thinking about her. Which wasn't my plan from the beginning.

Jamal: So what was your plan, then?

Jack: Well, that's another story, but the ending's changed now. But the point is now that I've found her, I'm not letting her go.

Frank: Lose something?

Karen: Hey, Frank. What's going on?

Frank: Oh, Emilio and I had some down time. I thought I'd say hi.

Karen: Look, I know you were worried about me back at the house with Gabby and Joe being so close.

Frank: I wasn't worried.

Karen: Yes, you were. I mean, that's why you put your arm around me. To comfort me, right?

Frank: Yeah, ok, I guess I was concerned. And you just looked a little tense when I first came in.

Karen: It's my shoulder. Just got a cramp in it.

Frank: Well, you're in luck because I happen to be very practiced in the art of healing massage.

Karen: Oh, I'll bet. Ok, work your magic. Mmm. I never realized you had this gift.

Frank: It's one of my lesser-known talents.

[Telephone rings]

Karen: Ah! Ok, back to reality.

Frank: Feel better?

Karen: I can move on. Thanks.

Frank: Anytime.

Ian: You hold on, ok? You're going to be just fine. I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I love you too much. You hear me? I love you too much.

[Footsteps running]

Woman: Is she all right?

Ian: Call an ambulance.

Woman: Look, I didn't mean to hit her. I'm so sorry --

Ian: Call a flipping ambulance! We need help here.

Woman: I don't have a phone.

Ian: There's a pay phone right over there. Hurry up.

Woman: Oh --

Ian: Hang in there, ok? You'll be just fine. You'll be just fine. Don't worry.

Kevin's voice: Just standing here and looking in your eyes, I can't explain it, but there's something there. Something familiar. And that's the reason we've been connected all this time.

Lucy's voice: Doc, there has always, always been a very special place in my heart saved just for you.

Lucy: Oh -- I cannot believe this is happening.

[Kevin sighs]

Kevin: This was bound to happen sometime.

Woman: It was an accident. I never saw her.

Kevin: Saw who?

Woman: The woman. She just came out of nowhere. I couldn't stop.

Kevin: Wait a minute, wait a minute -- did you hit someone?

Woman: I didn't mean to!

Kevin: Did you call an ambulance?

Woman: They're on their way.

Kevin: All right. Stay here. Excuse me, I'm a doctor. Can I help? Ian. Ian, we thought you -- Eve?

Kevin: Eve. Oh, my God --

Kevin: Eve? Eve, it's Kevin! Oh, my God. I don't believe this. I thought I'd lost you. Eve, can you hear me?

Eve? Damn it, where's that ambulance!

Ian: If they don't get here soon, I'll take her to the hospital myself.

Kevin: What do you think, a cerebral contusion?

Ian: I don't want to say before I see an x-ray.

Kevin: It's about time. All right, Eve, just -- just hang in there. Just hold on. Help's on the way.

Frank: All right, you guys are going to have to move out of the way. Ian --

Ian: Yeah -- look, what's important right now is Eve.

Frank: Eve?

Kevin: She was hit by a car.

Frank: How long's she been out?

Kevin: About 10 minutes.

Ian: I took her pulse. It's -- it's a little tachy at 118.

Emilio: BP's 130/84.

Frank: Respiration?

Emilio: 18 and 20 with good tidal volume.

Frank: Closed head injury, but pupils are equal and reactive. How fast was the car going?

Ian: I don't know. By the time I saw it, it already hit her.

Frank: Well, where's the driver?

Kevin: It's that woman over there.

Frank: All right. All right, let's move it, we'll start a line in the rig.

Kevin: I'm coming with you.

Ian: So am I.

Lucy: Doc? Hey. Doc, what happened to you? I thought you were going to come and join me. Doc? Don't tell me you're still outside. Oh, my goodness. Something must have really happened out there. Maybe they need my help.

[Car doors close]

Lucy: Hi. Excuse me. Can you tell me what happened here?

Woman: There was an accident.

Lucy: Oh -- well, wait a minute. Did you happen to see a tall, kind of handsome, dark guy? He's a doctor.

Woman: He's gone.

Lucy: What -- what? What do you mean he's gone?

Woman: I think he rode along in the ambulance.

Lucy: Oh, my gosh, there was an ambulance? Was someone hurt?

Woman: A woman. She was hit, but it was an accident. I never saw her.

Lucy: Well, do you know who she was? How badly is she hurt?

Woman: Look, I don't know. I'm sorry, I can't answer any more questions. I have to go.

Lucy: Oh, you know, wait a minute. I'm sorry, but I don't think that's a good idea. You know, the police are going to want to have a statement from you about what happened.

Woman: What do we need the police for? I told you I didn't mean to hurt her.

Lucy: I believe you. I'm sure you didn't. You know, this is a really bad spot. It's very dangerous.

Woman: Look, I couldn't stop.

Lucy: I believe you. I do. Listen, I just think it's wise for you to tell the police. You know, in fact, they're here. Just -- wait right there. Oh. Garcia, it's you. I'm actually glad to see you.

Garcia: We got a call there was an accident. What happened?

Lucy: Yeah, apparently a car hit a woman. There was an accident. Bad, I think.

Garcia: Any I.D. on the victim?

Lucy: Uh -- no. You know, I got here and the ambulance had already taken her away.

Garcia: What about the driver? Where's he?

Lucy: It's not a he. It's a she. She's right over there. She was there. Really. She was -- there, and now she's gone.

Frank: Incoming!

Joe: Let's get her into trauma five.

Karen: Oh, my God, it's Eve!

Gabriela: Is it her?

Joe: What?

Ian: Yeah, it is, and she's alive -- let's keep it that way.

Gabriela: Where have you guys been?

Ian: I'll explain later, I promise. Let's go!

Karen: Ok, any changes en route?

Joe: Did she ever regain consciousness?

Frank: Negative.

Karen: Her vitals?

Emilio: BP's still fluctuating -- 120/70. Pulse is still tachy at 118.

Frank: She's on her first liter of saline, GCS is 141.

Joe: Gabby, let's get a head CT, portable chest and c-spine, all right? UA and trauma panel.

Karen: Ok, you guys have to wait outside.

Kevin: No, no, no, I want to be with her.

Karen: I'm sorry --

Ian: I can help.

Karen: You can't. You can't.

Joe: Ian, I'm sorry. I'm glad you're alive --

Ian: Joe, come on -- Joe!

Kevin: Look, I can't just stand out here!

Joe: Outside.

Ian: She's in good hands.

Kevin: Well, I'm ready for that explanation, Ian.

Ian: Short version. We were kidnapped by a man named Harris, an enemy from my past.

Kevin: Harris. He's the one that Victor suspected of setting the car bomb.

Ian: Well, Victor's a smart man, but obviously we got out of the car before it blew up.

Kevin: But what did he want with you? And what did he want with Eve?

Ian: He was dying and he had the brilliant idea that we were the ones to save him.

Kevin: And you couldn't let any of us know that you were still alive?

Ian: I just got through telling you. We were cut off from the outside world. We were kidnapped. As soon as we managed to escape, we came to the lighthouse. That's why we were there tonight. Eve was going to tell you --

Kevin: Oh, my God. That was her knocking on the door. Ian, how could you let this happen?

Ian: You think I wanted this?

Kevin: Eve -- Harris was your problem, not Eve's! But she got caught in the middle, again.

Ian: I swear, if I could have prevented this --

Kevin: You son of a bitch! I don't want excuses! My wife was taken from me! I thought she was dead, and now she might really die, thanks to you!

Joe: Hey, Kevin, Kevin, Kevin! Take it easy.

Kevin: It's because of him! He's the reason all this happened!

Joe: I'm sure that's not true.

Ian: It is true. Never should have happened.

Joe: Both of you, just calm down, all right? We're doing everything we can.

Kevin: Calm down? How do you expect me to calm down when my wife could be in there dying?

Ian: What do you know, Joseph?

Joe: Dr. Kahn just finished the CAT scan. We should know something soon.

Kevin: Well, soon isn't soon enough.

Joe: Kevin, where are you going?

Kevin: I'm calling radiology to tell them we need the results now.

Joe: You and Eve were kidnapped?

Ian: Yeah, it's a long story. Someone was after me and Eve got caught up in it.

Joe: Oh, man, I'm sorry.

Ian: So am I.

Joe: But for whatever it's worth, it really is great to have you back. It's like a miracle.

Ian: Now we just need one more.

Joe: Hey, Eve's a fighter, Ian. You know that, all right? She's going to pull through.

Ian: Don't whitewash this for me! I saw her get hit by the car and I know she could die, and if she does, I'm the one that killed her.

Kevin: And I don't care how backed up you are. This is my wife we're talking about. Now, we need those results now! Karen, any change? Anything?

Karen: Well --

Ian: Karen -- Karen, what's going on?

Karen: She's stabilized. There were no other internal injuries, but she has suffered a pretty significant head trauma.

Ian: How significant?

Karen: We don't know that yet. Look, you guys are doctors. You obviously know the longer she's unconscious --

Kevin: I want to be with her.

Karen: Of course. Only for a moment.

Joe: I know this is hard for you.

Ian: You don't know, Joseph. Nobody knows except me and her.

Ian's voice: I want us to have a life together, someplace where it would fill our souls, with tiny little rugrats that look like you running around.

Eve's voice: Oh.

Ian's voice: Could you stand it, Lambert? A whole lifetime of our kind of mayhem?

Eve's voice: You take my breath away with your blarney.

Ian's voice: No, no, no. Every word is true. I want us to grow old together and still love each other. And we will, I know it.

Eve's voice: I feel exactly the same way you do. I want to grow old together, too.

[Monitor beeps]

Kevin: Eve, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

>> On the next "Port Charles" --

Kevin: Lucy, that was her knocking on the door, and I didn't get up to answer because you and I were making love.

Ian: She was safe and sound when I brought her to your door. You tell me, Kevin, what was so important you couldn't answer?
