Joe: Thanks for being here.
Gabriela: I wouldn't be anywhere else.
Jamal: Hey, anybody home?
Joe: Jamal, Ali.
Gabriela: How are you guys?
Alison: Good. You guys need two extra pair of hands?
Frank: Yeah, we sure do. Thanks for volunteering.
Alison: Yeah. Mary, how's the kitchen?
Mary: Oh, don't even ask. How are you?
Alison: Oh, no, I'm fine. Yeah, I'm fine. Maybe we should go get started.
Jamal: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey. Are you sure you're up for this?
Alison: No -- me, I'm fine. Really, I am. No, I am. It's cool. How are all of you guys?
Gabriela: All right.
Alison: I guess I should ask how Kevin is, but I'm sure he's not in such great shape. Maybe you guys should go be with him, you know? We can handle everything here. I know that I wouldn't want to be alone if it was me.
Victor: He couldn't have made it more clear that he wanted some time to himself, so that's what we're giving him.
Ian: Where is she?
Harris: What "she" are we talking about?
Ian: Eve. What did you do with her?
Harris: What did I do with her or to her?
Harris: Well, you know I know a good thing when I see it, Ian, and Eve is a very, very good thing.
Ian: Where is she?
Harris: She's resting -- calmly, after a very long and taxing night.
Ian: Meaning what?
Harris: Meaning exactly -- you know what it means. Your friend Eve and I spent the night -- all night -- together.
Man: Feeding time.
Eve: Well, it's about time. It's been almost 24 hours I've been cooped up in here. Where did that creep that you work for take my friend? Answer me! Where is he?
Eve: Ow! Ow! Oh!
Man: You don't ask the questions around here. You just keep it shut tight until you're told.
Eve: What are you going to do? Break my arm? Ow!
Man: In a heartbeat.
Karen: Mind if I help?
Gabriela: We could use a hand over here.
Karen: I'm all yours.
Alison: Be careful you don't slip on what's left over of dessert. It's, like, everywhere.
Karen: So how do those stitches feel?
Alison: Fine. Yeah, they're okay. It really wasn't that big of a deal.
Jamal: Oh, come on, Ali. You were bleeding like crazy. Don't try to make like it was nothing because it wasn't.
Alison: No, Jamal, it's fine. I'm okay now.
Jamal: Yeah, I know, but it could have been a lot worse -- a whole lot worse.
Alison: Okay, that was a little weird.
Joe: All right, this isn't it.
Mary: Isn't what, Joe?
Gabriela: What are you doing, Joe?
Joe: What we should be doing -- all of us -- celebrating the lives of two friends who'd be the first to complain about all the long faces.
Jamal: Hey, what's going on here?
Joe: Grab a glass. Come on, everybody. Let's go.
Alison: Well, you got something for me?
Joe: You bet. We're all doing this. Okay, Victor. First glass, first toast. To Eve and Ian.
Victor: You're absolutely right, Joe. That's exactly what they'd want us to do. To Eve and Ian.
All: To Eve and Ian.
Joe: Wherever they are.
Gabriela: Wherever they are.
Eve: I'm really sorry. I really am. Thanks. Thanks. It's cold in here. You'd think I'd be used to the cold by now. So where are we? Right, like you're going to tell me. Listen, I have a life back home, okay? I have a husband who loves me very much, and he's really worried about me. Great. Who am I kidding? No one's going to tell anyone anything, are they?
Man: There's coffee. Might still be hot. Here.
Eve: Thanks. I could use it. Yeah, it's still hot. It's boiling hot.
Man: Oh! Aah! Oh!
Harris: More than just beautiful. Eve is a strong-willed, independent woman. It adds so much feeling to the moment of the conquest, don't you think? Can't get a rise out of you, Thornhart? That's all right. I know that Dr. Lambert can. I've been watching you two very closely. I've seen that.
Ian: If you know so much about Dr. Lambert, you must know she's happily married. So what is this cat-and-mouse game that we're playing?
Harris: Well, can't the cat just enjoy every twitch of the rodent just for the sheer, convulsive pleasure of it?
Ian: If I remember correctly, the only joy you get out of life comes from the kill.
Harris: Anything else you want to get off your chest?
Ian: Yeah. I'd like to tell you how sorry I am that you're still walking this planet.
Harris: Oh, after you tried to send me to my reward.
Ian: And knowing you as the murdering bastard that you are, I'm sure you want to return the favor.
Harris: It's only human desire for revenge.
Ian: Human desire? You call yourself human now?
Harris: Well, the fact that I am human is the reason that you're here -- and the only reason you're alive, as much as I would love to see you take your last living breath --
Ian: What are you trying to do, bore me to death?
Harris: All right, fine. The fun and games are over. Just as you suspected, there's a reason I brought you and the alluring Dr. Lambert here.
Ian: Which is what?
Harris: I have a favor to ask you, Doctor.
All: To Eve and Ian!
Alison: Are you okay? What's going on with you?
Jamal: You know, if you'd been one foot closer to that window when that car went up --
Alison: No, Jamal, I wasn't, though. Look at me. I'm fine.
Jamal: Yeah, and what if you would have got hurt someplace where we didn't have friends at the hospital pulling strings for us, huh? I mean, Alison, some places, they don't even let you go in the door without insurance, you know?
Alison: Okay, so then we'll get insurance.
Jamal: That's not good enough. You gave up so much. Now I can't take care of you, you know?
Alison: Look, stop. I didn't give up anything that mattered, okay? I don't care about money or bills or no insurance. All I care about is being with you. That is all that matters to me. Okay? That is all I care about, and that is all I will ever care about, okay? Ever. I Promise.
Gabriela: Join the wake.
Karen: Grab a glass.
Colleen: What are we celebrating, exactly?
Gabriela: Life. Eve and Ian's, in particular.
Victor: Let me start. Eve was -- well, Eve was the most beautiful daughter-in-law a man could ever hope for. The day that she asked me to walk her down the aisle was the most wonderful, thrilling, exciting day of my life. I loved her very much because of her warmth and her laughter and her kindness, but mostly because she made my son happy. Very happy.
Mary: To Eve.
All: To Eve.
Kevin's voice: Eve, I waited my whole life. I mean, the years go by, and you just -- just go along with them, and you find that you're on a road, and then suddenly you find a bend in the road, and it leads to a whole new road, and you take it. You just decide to take it, and then you realize that you're on the road that you were always meant to be on, and that the road was a path that led to your own heart, that it leads to a part of you in your soul that was missing, and then you realize that you're home.
Eve's voice: And like you, I found my home. And its colors are beautiful and rich and forever.
Kevin: I love you, Eve. I always will.
Ian: You brought us here the way you did to ask a favor.
Harris: You've always taken a humanitarian approach to medicine, Doctor. The favor I'm asking is a professional one. What does this look like to you?
Ian: Looks like someone's dying.
Harris: That someone is me.
Ian: Is that right? There is a God. Thanks for confirming.
Harris: You're familiar with chromos?
Ian: Yeah. It's commonly referred to as the assassin's disease. That's poetic justice, isn't it?
Harris: I don't care what it's commonly referred to, it's --
Ian: It's a rare parasitic blood disease which will most likely kill you. Is that what you heard?
Ian: Well, it's true. Good. Let's recap. I'm looking at a man whose internal organs are being eaten away and whose heart is enlarging by the minute until one day it will explode, and he will die a slow death --
Harris: That's enough.
Ian: No, it's not enough. You should suffer a thousand years for what you did. That's my wish!
Harris: You're not going to get your wish. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.
Ian: You're not buying your way out of this one.
Harris: Curing myself of this disease is not remotely possible. It's beyond me.
Ian: Then how?
Harris: It's not beyond you.
Ian: You've got to be kidding me.
Harris: You are a doctor who can't say "no" to patients. You turn your back on me, you can't live with yourself.
Ian: Oh, yes, I can. I will not lift a finger to save your sick, pathetic, twisted life. I swear it.
Harris: You will do as you're told, or your friend Eve will pay the price. And you'll watch her pay every second, every -- Dr. Lambert. What an unexpected surprise.
Mary: o/~ Oh, Danny boy, the pipes o/~
All: o/~ The pipes are calling from glen to glen and down the mountainside. The summer's gone and all the flowers are dying. 'Tis you, 'tis you must go o/~
Gabriela: Joe, this was really a great idea.
Joe: Well, you inspire some great ones yourself.
All: o/~ But come ye back o/~
Gabriela: I keep thinking of Kevin, all alone.
Joe: Kevin knows what he needs. My bet is he's saying goodbye to Eve in his own way right now.
All: o/~ Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow o/~
Eve's voice: I want to be your wife. I want you to be my husband. I want to laugh together and cry together and waltz together. What I'm trying to say, Kevin -- will you marry me?
Kevin's voice: If I look out a little further, I can see us in 10 years. Raising our kids.
Eve's voice: Our kids.
Kevin's voice: Eating quail at Victor's Thanksgiving dinners. Making love at night. And if I look even further, I can see us in 20 years, packing our brood off to college.
Eve's voice: And eating hedgehog at Thanksgiving dinners.
Kevin's voice: I was thinking making love at night.
Eve's voice: Oh. That sounds like an incredible sight.
Kevin's voice: Eve, I want you to -- to help me make it come true.
Eve's voice: Oh, my gosh.
Kevin's voice: Eve, I'm asking you to marry me. Will you marry me?
Eve's voice: Yes. Yes. Oh, I'll marry you!
Kevin: I'm going to find them, Eve. I don't care how long it takes or what I have to do. I'm going to find the bastards and make them pay for what they did.
Eve: Are you okay?
Ian: I'm better knowing you are. You don't mind, do you?
Harris: If it's not to your liking.
Eve: What if you're not to our liking? Can we get rid of you, too?
Harris: Well, that may prove to be a bit more difficult, but congratulations on getting past my security.
Eve: I'm very resourceful.
Harris: Oh, well, then I guess I should just give up and let you both go.
Eve: You know what? Maybe you should because we have friends back in Port Charles who are just as rich and just as powerful as you are, and they are out looking for us right now.
Harris: I don't think so. Why look for the dead?
Eve: What? What do you mean?
Harris: You're dead, Dr. Lambert. As far as anyone's concerned in Port Charles, you and Ian are dead.
Eve: Why do they think that?
Harris: After we pulled the two of you from Ian's car, we blew it up. An explosion so great no one could survive. Oh, and your husband? He was devastated.
Eve: Kevin thinks I'm dead?
Eve: Kevin thinks I'm dead? You son of a --
Ian: Eve --
Eve: I'll kill you! Oh!
Harris: Now, now. There are always other solutions to unhappily ever after.
Eve: What is it that you want from us? Just spit it out. What do you want?
Harris: We were discussing that when you barged in. You're going to save my life.
Ian: He's got assassin's disease.
Eve: Is it advanced?
Eve: Good. See ya.
Harris: You think I'm making a request. You will save my life. And when you do, you'll go free.
Ian: And if we don't?
Harris: Plain and simple? I die, you die.
>> On the next "Port Charles" --
Chris: Keep your hands off her!
Eve: You said that you had something important to tell me. What was it that you were going to say?
Kevin: "Dear Eve, from the moment we kissed" --
