Viki: Good evening. Tonight, I have been asked to officiate at a very special ceremony. Todd and Téa have invited me to join them in this celebration and have invited all of us to join them in their renewal of vows and in a reaffirmation of life.

John: Your doorbell must be...

Natalie: Ha.

John: You look beautiful.

Natalie: Thanks. How did it go at Statesville?

John: When they took Cole away, I think it was harder on Marty than it was on him. Don't do that.

Natalie: What?

John: You were obligated to turn over the evidence. Even Marty will understand that someday.

Natalie: Hmm. Don't count on it.

John: Look, she's hurt. Right now she is looking for someone to blame, and she chose you. That's not gonna last forever.

Vivian: Marty. What are you doing?

Blair: Hope's finally asleep. And it's a good thing, too, because I was running out of animals on old McDonald's farm. E-I-e-I-O. Oh, baby...

Starr: So many pages aren't even filled. I just thought that we would have all the time in the world, you know?

Blair: It's not fair.

Starr: No, it's not. Gosh. Look. Look at how happy Cole is with hope in his arms. How are we gonna do it? How are we gonna live without Cole?

[Cell phone ringing]

Cristian: Come on, Gigi. You have to talk to the guy sometime.

Gigi: Why do I need to talk to someone who thinks it's okay to tell his ex all about our sex life? Or should I say non-sex life.

Cristian: You don't know how it happened.

Gigi: And I don't care, so let's not talk about Rex. Let's talk about the restaurant at the Eiffel tower. How amazing was that?

Cristian: It's supposed to be one of the most romantic places in the world.

Gigi: It's too bad you had to waste it on me instead of Layla.

Cristian: I think we're even. You might be mad at Rex, but I'm sure you'd rather have been there with him.

Dorian: Rex, what are you doing here?

Kelly: Rex is here to see me. We're going to Todd and Téa's party together.

Dorian: And I thought you said there was nothing going on between you and Rex Balsom.

Todd: Well, if there's one thing I've learned the hard way, it's that time is the most precious thing we have. Couple months ago, Téa and I said to each other, "Till death do us part." It turns out we were wrong, because death didn't even part us. So I think we got the ultimate do-over, and I promise that I'm not gonna waste any more time. Starting with tonight.

Cristian: How about a toast?

Gigi: To what?

Cristian: Cutting Rex some slack.

Gigi: Excuse me? Why would I toast to that? He told Adriana intimate details of my life.

Cristian: Yeah, but my cousin's got a way of getting people to spill things they don't even tell their priest.

Gigi: And how come he's so tight with his ex all of a sudden? That's just weird.

Cristian: Gigi, come on. Rex and Adriana--do you really think something's going on there?

Gigi: No. Not with Rex and Adriana.

Dorian: So. There is something going on between you and Rex after all.

Kelly: No, this is not a date.

Rex: I'm with Gigi, remember?

Kelly: Did you make up?

Rex: Not exactly. I've left a couple of thousand messages, but she hasn't gotten back to me.

Dorian: Oh. Trouble in paradise?

Rex: All because your daughter opened her big mouth.

Dorian: Don't you impugn Adriana's name.

Rex: She told Gigi something I said to her in confidence.

Dorian: Oh, you mean about your enormously high level of sexual frustration.

Rex: Adriana told you, too?

Dorian: What do you think would happen if you choose to cry on the shoulder of your ex-wife?

Rex: I'm not crying on anybody's shoulder.

Dorian: You need to leave Adriana alone. And you need to leave Rex alone.

Kelly: We're going to a party. Rex and I are going to a party. That's it. Stop making a federal case of it, okay? Thank you.

Dorian: Uh-huh. And Gigi would be where?

Rex: Paris.

Dorian: Paris. Ah, the city of l'amour, l'amour, l'amour.

Téa: I once told you that if we could find our way back to each other, that anything was possible. Even a miracle. I think we got our miracle, don't you?

Todd: I have no idea, but it's more than I deserve, I can tell you that.

Téa: That's true.

Todd: But I'll take it. Okay. Yeah. Pronounce us. Whatever.

Viki: Okay. And now with absolutely no power vested in me but with my heart brimming with happiness for both of you, I would like to reintroduce to the world Mr. and Mrs. Todd and Téa Delgado Manning.

Viki: Now you can kiss the bride.

Todd: Oh, yes. Make sure you stick around. There's a big surprise later.

Téa: What surprise?

Todd: None of your business.

Téa: Oh.

Nate: Okay, so what is this big surprise?

Dani: None of your damn business.

Nate: Hey, now, just a second.

Dani: Shut up.

James: Oh, man, I think it's so weird that we got invited to this thing.

Ford: What's weird about Manning wanting to pay you back for saving his daughter's life?

James: I didn't do it alone. I had you and Langston to help. You thought she was gonna be here, didn't you?

Ford: So? Don't pretend you didn't think you'd see Starr.

Blair: Mm-mmm. Mac and cheese. Your favorite. And it always makes me feel better, too.

Starr: Thanks, Mom.

Blair: Okay. Well, you know what? Dorian's kitchen is loaded, so if there's anything that you need, I'll be glad to fix it for you. Just say okay.

Starr: I'm really not hungry. I'm sorry.

Blair: Oh, baby. Don't you apologize for anything.

Starr: I just keep wondering... if he'll look like he does in this picture when he gets out of prison.

Blair: Not as different as you think.

Starr: It's 10 years. Mom, 10 years is more than half of my life so far.

Blair: I forget how young you are. You've had to deal with so many adult situations, so many responsibilities.

Starr: Cole always said that it made us better people.

Blair: You know what? He's right. And I know that it must feel like you can't go on without him. But he doesn't want you to stop living, sweetheart, and you have so much, so much ahead of you. And believe it or not, look at me. You will get through this.

Starr: How?

Blair: By allowing the people that love you to help you. Okay?

Charlie: You're not gonna give up on this Rex thing, are you?

Viki: Darling, if you and Echo have a child together, you need to know. We need to know. And believe me, before tonight is out, we will.

Clint: Echo. We need to talk.

Echo: The only person I need to talk to tonight is Rex. I promised to tell him about his parents.

Clint: I know. I was there. And when I told you not to say anything stupid, I meant it.

Echo: What a coincidence. Me, too. You can't stop me.

Clint: Wanna bet?

Natalie: Are we okay?

John: I don't like thinking that you'd keep something important from me.

Natalie: I know. I'm sorry.

John: So what do you say we promise each other never to do something like this again? Especially when it concerns the little one.

Marty: I'm sorry. I was looking for a piece of paper. I wanted to leave you a note.

Vivian: About what?

Marty: Well, the medical board is giving me another hearing about the way I handled the Hannah O'Connor case, and I was really hoping that you would be a character witness for me.

Vivian: Oh. Marty, of course. Whatever you need. Look, things are hard enough right now without you having to face a hearing. I am so sorry about Cole.

Shaun: I'm sorry, too. Cole got the book thrown at him for something the rest of us would've done in a heartbeat. It's not right.

Marty: Thank you for saying that.

Shaun: I mean it. Cole should've walked. Ready to go, beautiful?

Vivian: Sure. You'll let us know when the hearing's gonna be?

Marty: Oh. Yes. Thank you. As soon as I find out myself. Thank you so much.

Inez: Bo? Can I talk to you for a second?

Nora: He's not on duty.

Inez: It'll just take a second. I promise.

Bo: I'll be right back.

Inez: It's very important.

Nora: It always is.

James: Starr would never miss being here for her dad. This proves how bad she's gotta feel about Cole.

Nate: Hey, guys. Having fun?

James: We just got here.

Nate: I'm surprised the old man let you leave without him, if he's still around.

Ford: Oh, he's around. Butt-parked in front of the tube, drinking my beer.

Bo: Gentlemen.

James: Hi.

Bo: How you doing?

Ford: Good.

Bo: I understand you have a new houseguest.

Ford: I wish you hadn't told him that.

Bo: Ah, come on. Mom's just worried about you. I want you to know I might stop by tomorrow morning and have a little talk with him, make sure that he's behaving.

Inez: Thank you, Bo.

Bo: You're welcome.

Ford: Why did you do that?

Inez: I am not gonna let your father hurt you. I'm not gonna let him hurt any one of you ever again.

Matthew: How you doing?

Destiny: You don't really want me to answer that.

Darren: What's going on? The second Dani invited me, I called to ask if I could pick you up. I've been leaving you all these messages, and you never called back. Now I find you here partying without me?

Matthew: Darren, take it easy. All right? Destiny's going through a hard time right now. She just found out some stuff about her family.

Darren: Like what?

Matthew: Her brother Greg isn't her brother. He's her dad.

Darren: What? What?

Destiny: Yeah. The people I thought were my parents are actually my grandparents. They've lied to me my whole life.

Darren: That's, like, unbelievable. So how come Matthew knows all this and I don't?

Viki: If Echo says that you're not Rex's father, then we'll just enjoy the party and have a good time. She was here just a minute ago. Where did she go?

Echo: Okay, you wanna talk? Let's talk. About how you won't acknowledge your own son.

Clint: I have 3 sons. Cord, Kevin, and Joey. And each one is a credit to the Buchanan name. Rex doesn't even come close.

Echo: You haven't even given him a chance.

Clint: Don't need to. He's been no good ever since I've known him. And I was never gonna let him near my money or my name.

Echo: Wait a minute. Just how long have you known Rex was your son?

Kelly: Almost ready, I promise.

Dorian: All right, let's get a few things straight, Rex. You broke my daughter's heart, and that is why I object to you having a date with Kelly.

Rex: It's not a date. I am with Gigi.

Dorian: And Gigi is with Cristian Vega in Paris, the city of l'amour.

Rex: Yeah. Okay. I got it. Let's make a deal, okay? You stay out of my love life and maybe you'll have time to get one of your own.

[Dorian speaking French]

Kelly: Rex, can you give me a hand?

[Telephone ringing]

Dorian: Mayor Dorian Lord here.

Gigi: I'm trying to reach Rex.

Dorian: He's busy. He's helping Kelly get dressed for their date.

Gigi: Their what?

Dorian: Yup. They're going out tonight.

Gigi: I--I don't understand.

Dorian: You should. The poor man can only get along without sex for so long.

Gigi: Are you kidding me? Adriana told you, too?

Dorian: Au contraire. It was Rex who brought it up. Yes, tonight. Shall I get him for you?

Gigi: [Drops cell phone] I should've known Rex would head straight to Kelly the minute I was out of the picture.

Cristian: Didn't think they even knew each other that well.

Gigi: You obviously haven't been keeping up. Part of the time she's inventing jobs for him and the other part, they're ending up half-naked together.

Cristian: What?

Gigi: And they're always claiming that it's totally innocent, but come on.

Cristian: Sounds like Layla's life. She's surrounded by a lot of naked men, too.

[Cell phone ringing]

Gigi: Go to hell, Rex. And while you're at it, put some clothes on.

Rex: Just like I thought.

Kelly: Gigi's still not talking to you?

Rex: Not tonight.

Dorian: Darling, first thing we ought to do is pay our respects to our host and hostess. Come, dear.

Destiny: Okay, look, I'm sorry I didn't feel like telling the whole world my life was a lie.

Darren: Not the whole world, but you did tell Matthew.

Matthew: I'm her friend, Darren.

Darren: And I'm her boyfriend. Or at least I thought I was. Why are you pushing me away?

Dani: I can't believe your dad just showed up like that. What was it like for you finally meeting him?

Nate: He's pretty much all the disgusting things my mom ever said he was.

Inez: I feel so much better knowing that you're looking out for my boys.

Bo: Oh. It's no problem.

Nora: Oh. Look. Someone needs a refill.

Bo: I'll get that for you.

Nora: Thank you.

Inez: Your husband is a lifesaver.

Nora: Yes, well, don't bake any more cookies because we haven't finished the last batch. Ha ha.

Inez: I'm running out of ways to say thank you.

Nora: You know, Bo doesn't expect a thank you. He just sees a problem and fixes it. You know? And it would be easy to read something into it if you didn't know that that's what he does for everyone. I thought you were bringing a date. Where's Clint?

Clint: When Rex's boy Shane needed a stem cell donor last year, practically this whole town came out to see if they could donate, and I was no different.

Echo: And you were a match.

Clint: A perfect match. And the doc said that he had never seen anything like that in someone who was not a blood relative. And that got me curious, so I did the math. Rex's age against how many years it was since you got that speeding ticket.

Echo: So you knew that I'd been in Llanview around the time Rex was born.

Clint: I decided to keep my discoveries to myself, because I didn't want you or some money-grubbing kid hanging around looking for a Buchanan-sized handout.

Echo: So you've known for over a year that Rex was your son, and you didn't claim him because you were protecting your fortune? What kind of heartless bastard are you?

Rex: Hey.

Viki: Hi.

Rex: Viki, have you seen Echo?

Viki: I was about to ask you the same thing.

Charlie: Well, she was here when the party started, but she seemed to have just disappeared.

Rex: Well, she better not bail. She promised me some answers about my parents.

Viki: Todd hired her to take pictures. I doubt that she would leave if she's getting paid.

Rex: Well, if you see her, send her my way.

Dorian: And so on behalf of my daughter and myself, we want to extend our very best wishes to you, and congratulations to you, Todd. Come, darling.

Téa: I...was going to say something.

Todd: Oh, hey, look.

Natalie: Hey.

Todd: Hi.

Téa: Hey, guys.

Todd: Hey, John. So that's all you could afford, huh? Well, don't worry about it. I'm sure things'll pick up.

John: It's nice to see you're back to your back to your old self, Manning.

[Natalie and Téa laugh]

Téa: Well, we are all back to our old selves again, thanks to you, John. Thank you for everything.

Todd: May I get you guys something from the bar?

John: No, no, I'll get it. You enjoy your party. Club soda?

Natalie: Whoo! Yes. Oh, hi, Dr. Wright.

Vivian: Oh, please. Vivian.

Natalie: You look beautiful.

Vivian: Oh, so do you. Beautiful and a little anxious, maybe?

Natalie: Yeah, yeah. I've been going crazy waiting for those paternity results, and I was kind of hoping maybe I could ask you, can you put a rush on the test?

Marty: "Trisomy 13,18..." "C.F." "Pater--" paternity?

[Doorbell rings]

Blair: Coming!

Marty: Okay. Here we go. Okay. I got you, Natalie.

Vivian: I'm sorry, but unless there's a specific emergency, the test has to be processed in the order that it was administered, so--I'm sure it won't take much longer, okay? And I promise I will call you as soon as I hear anything.

John: It's--

Natalie: Oh, thanks.

John: It's okay, Doc. Natalie told me all about the test.

Vivian: Oh. Okay. I see.

Natalie: Uh, mom's over there. I think we should go over and say hi. It was good to see you, Vivian.

Vivian: You, too. Detective.

John: Very nice. Yes.

Vivian: Thank you.

Destiny: Look, you can be mad all you want, but I don't even want to be here. I'm only here because Dani asked me to.

Matthew: Way to make it all about you.

Shaun: Hey. How's my little sister doing?

Destiny: Who's actually your niece.

Shaun: A technicality. You and me--we're pretty good at the brother-sister thing. I'm never going to forget that.

Destiny: Me, neither. Look, Shaun, you're the only one that hasn't lied to me--out of our whole family. Greg hurt both of us, Shaun, and he had plenty of help.

Shaun: I guess that means you're not talking to mom and dad. That makes the two of us.

Destiny: How could Greg take your girlfriend and try to pass me off as his sister? And what about this girlfriend, anyway? He said she was dead, but he never said how or when. Do you know?

Téa: Todd and I were just talking about how much we miss Starr. How's she doing tonight?

Dorian: She's devastated by Cole's sentence. I don't understand why it had to be so harsh.

Todd: Well, he shot a guy. And, you know, I'm not sorry that it was Eli Clarke, but I'm less sorry that Cole's out of her life. She deserves better.

James: When Starr wasn't at the party, I figured maybe--maybe she wasn't doing so great.

Blair: Well, she's going through a really, really rough time right now, but she's a strong girl.

James: Tell me about it. You know, and I--I should probably go. But will you tell Starr that I was asking about her and...

Blair: Sure.

James: You know what? That's okay. You don't have to tell her anything.

Blair: James? Wait.

Gigi: I get why you're upset, but with Layla, at least it's only a career thing, you know? She's just doing what she's got to do. I mean, yes, it sucks that she has to do it a million miles away.

Cristian: What--why did I ever think that would work?

Gigi: Long-distance relationships are hard.

Cristian: More like impossible. I mean, I came all this way and we couldn't even have one night together. One night.

Rex: I cannot believe Echo bailed on me. She's the only reason I came to this stupid party.

Kelly: Great to be here with you, too.

Rex: Sorry. I meant that if I had a hangnail and I saw her--

Kelly: Forget about it. At least you had a good reason to be here. I just figured, hey, it's a party, they're supposed to be fun, and I haven't had a whole lot of fun lately. I used to. I used to be the kind of person that would skydive for the hell of it, and I would like to know what happened to her.

Téa: Rex--sorry to interrupt you guys. I just--I want to thank you again for all the work you did investigating Eli.

Rex: Well, Kelly was a big help.

Téa: Oh, you were? Well, thanks to you, too, then. And nice obituary, by the way.

Kelly: A little premature maybe.

Téa: But very flattering, so thank you. Whenever he decides to get impatient with me, I'm going to make him read it and remember why he married me.

Todd: Oh, I'll never forget why I married you.

Téa: Mm-hmm.

Viki: This is just unconscionable. Echo promised Rex the truth and he deserves to know who his parents are.

Charlie: But it is not our place to tell him.

Viki: Even if you are his father?

Charlie: Look, Viki, if it turns out that I am Rex's father, it is going to have an impact on a lot of people.

Echo: It's not just Rex you're disowning. He has a child. Clint, our grandson.

Clint: And I was going to save the kid's life.

Echo: You mean you didn't?

Clint: Well, Gigi's sister stepped forward before me. It was just too fortunate a coincidence not to take advantage of it. But I kept my team there. Very discreetly, I kept them there on standby, just in case. So much for me being a heartless bastard.

Echo: Oh...Clint, let me go! I'm going to go find Rex and I'm going to tell him who he really is.

Clint: No, you're not. Because if you do, I can guarantee you, you will never see your son again.

Clint: Not too long ago, Rex broke into the offices of Buchanan Enterprises. He was caught red-handed. That's called corporate espionage and carries with it a lengthy penalty. So whenever I wish, I could send him away for a long, long time.

Echo: What did I ever see in you? You weren't always like this.

Clint: Now, I know that you are trying to make up for ditching the kid when he was just a little baby, but I got news for you--it's too late for that. Now, if you shoot your mouth off now, Rex disappears, and you simply won't live long enough to ever see him again. And I don't think that's what you want. Do you?

Rex: Echo's supposed to be the official photographer for tonight. Where the hell is she?

Ford: Hey. Maybe I have no right to ask this, but do you think you and I can—

Téa: Sorry for the interruption. Um, I hope everyone is having a good time.

Woman: Yeah.

Téa: There are so many people here who made it possible for me to be standing here tonight. And the one thing that I want to say is, don't take life for granted. Be grateful you're alive. Live every moment to the fullest. And when you are lucky enough to find someone that you love, love them with your whole heart.

Todd: All right, now I have something to say. Or I did, but I'm not very good with words, so I've asked somebody very special to help me express what I'm feeling. Would you give a warm round of applause, please, for Danielle.

[Music begins playing]

Dani: Mom, this is for you. I love you.

Singer: I never listened well you had so much to tell your baby girl how to protect yourself how you can make your way in this cold world and I might have seemed indifferent but I hope somehow you knew everything I ever learned I learned from you like when you give love you give it all and no matter what you get in return let go of what you hold and watch it fly to take a breath to try again to stand for what you choose everything I ever learned I learned from you I feel you in my veins I try to see the world through your eyes expressions on your face those little gestures I recognize that only could have come from one who knows me through and through everything I ever learned I learned from you 'cause when you give love you give it all and no matter what you get in return let go of what you hold and watch it fly to take a breath to try again to stand for what you choose everything I ever learned I learned from you no lesson was too great or was too small I hope I have a chance to say I remember your love within them all ooh ooh 'cause when you give love you give it all no matter what you get in return let go of what you hold and watch it fly to take a breath to try again to stand for what you choose everything I ever learned I learned from you everything I ever learned I learned from you woman: Whoo!

[Cheering and applause]

Starr: What are you doing here?

James: I had to find out if--if you were okay.

Téa: That was the best gift a mother could ever get.

Todd: Well, he talked me into it.

Todd: Yeah, I'm guilty.

[Téa and Dani laugh]

Téa: I love you so much, mija.

Dani: I love you, too, Mom. And you, Dad. Congratulations.

Téa: Mmm. Thank you so much. This night has been perfect.

Todd: Now it's about to get better.

Téa: How?

Todd: Champagne, chilled, hotel room, our name on it.

Téa: Are you suggesting we abandon our guests?

Todd: Yes.

Téa: Oh. Yes.

Rex: Hey, have you seen Echo DiSavoy?

Todd: No.

Téa: Oh, I think I saw her on the way to the ladies' room headed up to the roof.

Rex: Thanks.

Clint: Echo, I'm glad we were able to come to this understanding.

Echo: I will never understand you, Clint, not if I live to be 100.

Clint: Sorry it took so long. I had some business to take care of.

Viki: Echo...we've waited long enough, okay? Now, who are Rex Balsom's parents?

Kelly: Whoo! [Laughing]

Rex: Gone. Damn it. This whole night's been a total waste.

Kelly: Oh. I'm sorry.

Rex: Hey, no, it's--it's not your fault. It's like every time I turn around, I run into a...

Gigi: Cristian, don't give up on Layla. Okay? I know what it's like to want to be with someone, and then you can't be with them.

Darren: We got to find a way to cheer you up.

Destiny: Look, I'm sorry. I'm just not in the party mood, okay? I think I should go.

Matthew: All right, I'll take you home.

Darren: The hell you will.

Nate: You were amazing.

Dani: Oh, not even.

Nate: You were. Okay. And I have a little surprise for you.

Dani: You got a room?

Nate: Ahem--no, it's the key to the pool area.

Dani: Oh. Wait, seriously, we can go swimming?

Nate: If you want.

Dani: Yeah. Last one in's a rotten egg.

Langston: What were you going to say before?

Ford: I just wondered if maybe we could--

Dorian: Good night, Mr. Ford. Langston wants nothing to do with you.

Langston: That's not true.

John: You've been watching the doc all night.

Natalie: Have I?

John: Yeah. You worried about the results of the amnio? Don't. This kid's going to be perfect.

Natalie: Hmm. Marty?

John: Hi.

Marty: Hi.

John: I didn't expect you to be here tonight.

Marty: I didn't think I'd be here myself, but I had to get out of the house.

John: That was hard being at Statesville today.

Marty: It was hell, but I think I've found a way to cope with it.
