Chloe: I ran into Belle my first night back.

Shawn D.: She never told me about it.

Chloe: Yeah, she didn't tell you because she was at my hotel. She was with Philip. They had taken a room together. I am so sorry, but I had to tell you.

Mr. Woods: ...Who defied the odds and made it to the altar. I had the distinct pleasure of chaperoning this couple on a school trip to Puerto Rico.

Shawn D.: Are you sleeping with Philip?

Mr. Woods: Shawn Brady and Belle Black Brady!

Shawn D.: Answer me. Are you cheating on me?

Belle: Shawn, don't do this, not right now.

Shawn D.: Then what were you doing in his hotel room?

Mr. Woods: ...You two, or else you're both getting detention, and I'm sure Jason will tell you what a barrel of fun that is.

Shawn D.: How long has this been going on -- weeks? Months?

Belle: No, it's not like that. Honey, I want to explain everything, just not here.

Mr. Woods: [Laughs]

Chloe: All right, I'll get them up here.

Mr. Woods: Go for it.

Chloe: Look at those two. They're so in love, they're completely oblivious to everything else.

Jason: Get up there! Go!

Chloe: Come on. Don't be bashful. Come on and get your trophy. Let's hear it, everyone. Shawn and Belle Brady -- always and forever. Isn't that right, guys?

Steve: Yeah, they cut the brake line. But the weird thing is when Eddie checked out the car to see if they'd messed with anything else, he started it up, it ran for a few seconds and then died.

Kayla: Why?

Steve: It was out of gas.

Kayla: I just filled it up in the morning. So why would they cut the brake lines and empty out the gas?

Hope: Doesn't make any sense.

Steve: No, it doesnít. [Cellphone rings] Sorry.

Hope: You saw him...

Steve: Yeah.

Lucas: Hey, Steve, it's Lucas. How's it going?

Steve: It's going all right, except for a little car trouble.

Lucas: Really? What happened?

Steve: Well, somebody thought it would be amusing to cut our brake line.

Lucas: You mean somebody --

Steve: Yeah. Guess they thought we'd be prettier as roadkill.

Lucas: Are you okay? Where's Kayla?

Steve: We're both fine.

Lucas: You have any idea who might do something like that?

Steve: I got an idea. I bet you do, too. Hey, listen, Bo just came in. I got to talk to him. Is there something you needed?

Lucas: Don't worry about it. I'll talk to you later. Sorry about your car.

Steve: Take it easy. [Telephone beeps] They get you caught up?

Bo: Yeah. Sounds like the DiMeras could be up to their old tricks.

Steve: Maybe you can't teach an old DiMera new tricks.

Sami: What are you talking about? I was in the other room for, like, two seconds.

E.J.: I asked you if I can trust you.

Sami: E.J., where is this coming from? We are gonna have to start trusting each other. We are...husband and wife, you know.

E.J.: Then why do I get the distinct impression that you're trying to, uh, distract me?

Sami: From what?

E.J.: I think that you know who shot me. Do you? Do you? Who are you protecting, Samantha?

Bo: Did you get a look at this guy?

Steve: Oh, yeah. I saw him. Looked like some kind of ninja wannabe -- head to toe in black. I didn't see his face, though.

Bo: How big was he?

Steve: Not very big.

Bo: Kay, did you get a look at him?

Kayla: I didn't see him.

Bo: I guess it could be one of DiMera's goons.

Hope: It doesn't make sense. The vendetta's over.

Steve: I did hold a gun to his head on television.

Bo: Yeah, well, he dropped all the charges.

Kayla: He said he wouldn't go after you for Benjy's sake.

Bo: Let's go take a look at your car.

Hope: Can I get you something to drink?

Kayla: No, thank you.

Bo: Hope, will you do me a favor? Call Billie and see if she'll meet me down here?

Hope: Did you find the gun?

Bo: No, Lucas' apartment was clean, but I want to talk to her about where he was the night of the shooting.

Hope: Sure.

Penny: Smile! [Applause]

Jason: Wow, Belle's still smokin' hot, huh? It's hard to believe she's had a kid.

Chloe: Congratulations. No one is more deserving of this award than Shawn and Belle.

[Applause] Oh, wait. Oh, no. We're not done with you guys yet. First, you have to tell us -- what does it feel like to be married to your high school sweetheart? Shawn?

Shawn D.: Words can't describe what I'm feeling right now. Aw!

Chloe: What about you, Belle? Seems like only yesterday that Shawn and Belle were tearing up the dance floor at the Last Blast.

Cynthia: Are you having as much fun as I'm having?

Philip: I don't know. How many drinks is that, Cynthia?

Cynthia: Drinks or no drinks, I don't recall you being this cute back in high school.

Philip: Funny. This is exactly how I remember you.

Cynthia: So... you and Belle. Divorce must have been pretty brutal, huh? At least that's what the gossip Gods tell me.

Philip: That's none of your business.

Cynthia: You were smart to get out of that marriage. Everyone knows she was only after one thing. So, tell me, did you guys have a prenup?

Philip: Don't talk about Belle like that.

Cynthia: Oh. You still hot for her?

Chloe: A Thanksgiving wedding. How perfect 'cause you two have so much to be thankful for, especially you, Belle. [Applause]

Susan: Is it just me, or does Belle look like she's about to cry?

Belle: Uh... it was beautiful. It was a beautiful wedding. Everybody was really happy. I had my friends and my family there. It was the first time that they'd all been together, uh... since my -- my dad died. It's kind of been a hard year, but this is definitely my bright spot. Aw! I have a wonderful husband who I love more than he'll ever know, the same guy who suffered through sophomore algebra with me and taught me how to shoot a basket and used to leave me these really sweet notes in my locker. How many people are lucky enough to get to spend the rest of their lives with their best friend? Aw!

Sami: You think I know who shot you? What am I, psychic now?

E.J.: No, I don't think that, but I think you're a lot more protective of your ex-husband than I'd like.

Sami: You think it was Lucas?

E.J.: Oh, I certainly think he had motive.

Sami: Of course he had a motive. I'm not gonna deny that. E.J., he just found out that our marriage is real and that it's not just about ending the vendetta. You think about how hard it was for me to accept my feelings -- just think how hard it is for Lucas.

E.J.: You still haven't answered my question, have you?

Sami: I guess I forgot it.

E.J.: You're good, but you're not that good.

Sami: Do I know who shot you? Do I think it was Lucas? No, I don't know who shot you, E.J. I swear. And I definitely don't think it was Lucas.

E.J.: Oh, sure you donít. After all, you love Lucas.

Sami: God, where is this coming from?

E.J.: What have you told him about us? Hmm? Because when I see Lucas, I don't see a man who's resigned to moving on without you. In fact, I'm kind of curious as to exactly how far he's gonna go to keep you.

Lucas: I don't know, Mom. Since you did sabotage their car, I thought you might want to know they're all right. You know, you are one compassionate woman. You really are. I know what I have to do. I got to find the gun before the police do. I can't even find my keys right now. Leave me alone! You're distracting me!

[Keys rattle]

Billie: Hey, is this a bad time?

Lucas: It's a very bad time.

Billie: Tough. I just got off the phone with Bo. He wants to ask me where you were the night E.J. was shot. Any idea why?

Cynthia: You still have feelings for the princess.

Philip: You're drunk.

Cynthia: What is it about her? Did she memorize the Kama Sutra?

Philip: Give it up.

Mr. Woods: And as supercouple of Salem High, I'd like to present you with this exclusive piece of fine plastic.

Belle: [Laughs] Thank you. Our daughter, Claire, will love it.

Susan: How old is she?

Belle: She just turned 2 in September, and she's definitely Daddy's little girl. She follows Shawn around the house, copying everything he does.

Shawn D.: Except when it comes to eating her vegetables.

Belle: I think she's gonna be a police officer, just like her daddy.

Shawn D.: She's gonna be the only cop packing her revolver in a pink leather purse.

Mr. Woods: You guys have got yourselves a perfect family.

Belle: We really do. [Applause]

E.J.: You see, it's pretty obvious, Samantha. Whoever shot me either hates me or loves you. And I think Lucas tops both of those lists.

Sami: And Abe knows that. My dad knows that. Uncle Bo knows that. Lucas would never risk shooting you. He knows he'd be the number-one suspect.

E.J.: Really? Then why do I get the distinct feeling that you're not telling me something?

Sami: You think I don't want to find out who shot you? I mean, I was standing next to you at the altar. There is a bullet hole in my dress.

E.J.: Do you think we're leaving this up to the Salem Police Department? We're not. We have people looking into this, Samantha.

Sami: If you have your own investigators, then why are you questioning me?

E.J.: That should be obvious. It's because I don't believe that you're not involved.

Lucas: Just put him off for a couple days.

Billie: I'm on my way over there right now.

Lucas: Well, then, that's it. The whole thing's over. Now I'm toast.

Billie: Whoa. You're talking like somebody who's guilty.

Lucas: Bo knows, Billie. He knows you stopped by here the night E.J. was shot. So, if you could just tell him --

Billie: That you were at the church that night. Lucas, if he asks, I'm gonna have to tell him the truth.

Lucas: You're gonna sell me out? You're gonna sell out your own brother?

Billie: I don't know what the hell happened at the church that night, and it's probably better that I donít. But just don't go justifying whatever it is you did because you're a victim.

Lucas: I lost my wife, all right? She is married to E.J. DiMera. My daughter is over there napping in his nursery, and my son had to move halfway around the world because of him. Yeah, would my life be easier if he was dead? Yes! Hell, yeah, it would! But I didn't do it. I am not the one who shot E.J.

Sami: You think that I arranged for Lucas to shoot you on our wedding day? I was trying to end the vendetta, not kick it up a notch.

E.J.: I don't believe you.

Sami: I was telling you the truth when I said I have feelings for you.

E.J.: No, what you said was you realized your feelings for me when I was shot. Who's to say you didn't get those feelings because you were feeling guilty for trying to kill me?

Sami: Keep it down. Listen to me. I have nothing to feel guilty about.

E.J.: No, in fact, some might say you have a reason to want to kill me still.

Sami: You're getting ridiculous here. I did not try to have you shot. And if you can't believe that, then I don't know what kind of marriage we're gonna have.

E.J.: Let's talk about that. What kind of marriage do you want to have, hmm?

E.J.: Forget what you said at the hospital. If you want to walk out of here now, the door is open.

Sami: I'm not leaving.

E.J.: You sure about that? Really? Really, Samantha, because the last two times I've been over to your apartment, I've been greeted by your ex-husband with barely any bloody clothes on.

Sami: Keep your voice down.

E.J.: You want this marriage to be real? You want this trust to be real? Then you live here with me.

Sami: I am asking you to understand. Lucas and I have gone back a long way.

E.J.: Samantha, I'm a reasonable man. I don't expect you to turn off these feelings for him. But you made a choice, and I expect you to live up to that choice with me. Look, I'm aware that it's not gonna be easy. It's a bloody bachelor pad. There's stuff all over the place. We both need to make some adjustments.

Sami: It's nice to see that you've already taken a couple steps in that direction. You're turning this place into a nursery, huh?

E.J.: Samantha, we can turn this place into a baby palace if it makes you happy, darling.

Sami: If you want to do that, I'd be happy to make you a list of the things you'll need.

E.J.: Things that we will need, right? Because you're gonna be here, right?

Sami: How are we gonna make that work?

E.J.: [Sighs] Okay. I, um -- I know what you said about getting a house 'cause you don't want to rub Lucas' nose in it. I don't know about you, but I don't think we want to separate him from Allie.

Sami: No, I don't, and I don't want to separate the twins from each other, either.

E.J.: Okay, well, let's work this out, all right? I mean, look at this place. [Laughs] It's ridiculous. It looks like it was decorated by a blind man. You can get rid of that, for starters. I mean, think about it. You can do anything you want to. I just want you to feel at home. I want you to feel like it's your home. Do something. Do anything. Put a poof over there. Put some pink over there.

Sami: E.J.

E.J.: Money is no object.

Sami: It looks great to me. I don't see anything I'd want to change.

E.J.: Look, I'll do anything for you. Just don't make a fool of me, okay?

[Cheers and applause]

Penny: Can I get a picture?

Belle: Yeah, sure.

Penny: Big smile. Okay, one more. [Digital camera beeps] Thanks, guys.

Shawn D.: I'm gonna go get some air.

Belle: Shawn, wait. Would you wait?

Susan: Belle, is everything okay with you and Shawn?

Belle: Yeah, it's great.

Susan: Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm a really good listener.

Jason: Phil, where you been? You got to check out the marquee in front of the school. It's great. It's just like hell week.

Philip: I'm good.

Jason: What's your problem? Whoa, hey, Jenny.

Penny: It's Penny.

Jason: Yeah, yeah. You're the foreign exchange student, right?

Penny: We went to school together starting in kindergarten. The school trip -- Puerto Rico.

Jason: No.

Penny: You put a stink bomb in my locker in 11th grade.

Jason: Right. Right. I remember you now. You were the locker next to Devon's, right? Yeah, those were good times. Listen, I need to borrow your camera. Hawk and the guys, they rearranged some of the letters in front of the school sign, so I need to take a picture of it, and I will be really careful with it.

Penny: If you let anything happen to it --

Jason: I promise I'll bring it right back. Phil, you want to come with?

Philip: Knock yourself out.

Jason: All right.

Shawn D.: I'm not asking you, Philip. I'm telling you. Leave Belle alone. She's off limits. You got it?

Philip: Not for long.

Shawn D.: What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Philip: She's miserable. And maybe if you paid attention, you'd realize that.

Shawn D.: You son of a --

Philip: What, the truth too hard to take?

Shawn D.: Get out.

Philip: We both want to see Belle happy, right? I'm the guy who does that for her. I'm sorry it has to be this way, Shawn, but I'll always love her, and she'll always love me.

Shawn D.: You keep talking like that, Philip. It just makes you look more desperate 'cause you know you're never gonna have Belle in your life again or in your bed.

Philip: Who says she isn't already there? Aah!

Cynthia: Hey, Shawn. I guess congratulations are in order. Where's her royal highness, shining her goody-two-shoes?

Shawn D.: You know what? I really don't need this right now.

Cynthia: Hey, don't leave on my account. I need a refill anyway. Ah, Belle. It's a good look for you -- very fitting.

Belle: She hasn't changed one bit, has she? Shawn... hey, come on. Say something.

Shawn D.: What is there to say?

Belle: You don't understand.

Shawn D.: You met Philip in some hotel room. Belle, what do you want from me?

Belle: It's not what you think.

Shawn D.: This better be good, otherwise you can take that trophy and keep it as a souvenir of our brief marriage.

Mr. Woods: And talk about panther pride. Not only was he voted "most likely to succeed," but Kevin here has made a very generous donation to Salem High to pay for the new science lab.

Cynthia: So, he's, like, totally loaded now, right?

Susan: Get a life, Cynthia.

Chloe: Hey.

Philip: Hey.

Chloe: How you doing?

Philip: This isn't anything like I pictured it would be.

Chloe: Yeah, well, at least no one got pig's blood dumped on them. You want to sit down?

Philip: I think I'm gonna take off.

Chloe: Already?

Philip: Yeah. I'll see you later.

Chloe: Philip, wait. I told Shawn everything.

Philip: You what?

Chloe: About the hotel room and Belle. I'm really sorry.

Mr. Woods: Let's give it up for Philip Kiriakis.

[Cheers and applause]

Bo: Whoever cut that brake line didn't pull the wheel and left this behind.

Steve: [Sniffs] Gas sieve.

Bo: Sloppy work for a DiMera.

Steve: Yeah, Stefano would use a professional.

Bo: So, who wants us to think the DiMeras are back in business?

Lucas: I swear to you I didn't do it. You really think I'd do something like that again, after everything that happened with Franco Kelley?

Billie: Well, if you've got nothing to hide, then why do you want me to lie?

Lucas: Because I'm a primary suspect. And if they detain me, if they question me in any way, what do you think's gonna happen to Allie? I'm gonna lose custody. That's what's gonna happen.

Billie: No, not unless you're proven guilty.

Lucas: I am asking you for a favor. Have I ever asked you for anything in my whole life?!

Billie: You are asking me to lie to Bo! Bo, who is not only a friend of mine, he's a cop, Lucas.

Lucas: Fine. Then just tell him I never left the apartment, please.

Billie: We're talking about attempted murder. I could be liable as an accomplice. And even if I don't end up doing jail time, my career will be over.

Lucas: You know what? Forget it, then. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I even asked you.

Billie: Lucas. Lucas, if you didn't shoot E.J., everything's gonna be fine. It'll be okay. I love you. I love you, okay? Everything's gonna work out just fine. I got to go. It's gonna be okay.

Lucas: Yeah, right.

Sami: Don't tell me you're doubting my feelings for you. E.J., you're the one who saw them before I did.

E.J.: No. You told me your feelings. I'm doubting that you can't make this place look better. Look, it's a bloody mess.

Sami: [Laughs] I do see one or two things.

E.J.: Good. Well, then.

Sami: Well, I'll have to have some time to think about it. And right now is not that time. I am exhausted. So, let me take the twins and go home.

E.J.: Samantha, this is your home.

Sami: Of course. I just have everything set up over there, so it'll be so much easier and I can relax. You know, we both need our space, right?

E.J.: Sure. I want you to be comfortable here, okay? I want you to think of this house as your home. I'm not gonna pressure you. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really excited about you moving in, though.

Sami: And I know you always get what you want.

E.J.: What I really want is for you to hold me in your arms again, like you did at the hospital. I know it's gonna take awhile before you trust yourself to lie into my arms. It's kind of funny, ironic, one of the two, when you think about it. I mean, I loved you, wanted you for such a long time. Now you're my wife. All I ever dreamt about was picking you up, taking you into bed, sweeping you off your feet, lying beside you as a complete man.

Sami: E.J. I'm sorry.

E.J.: It's okay. There's an honesty in bed, Samantha. There's an intimacy and magic, and, uh, it's either there, or it's not. And I know it's not something I can force on you. And I know that's how I will truly know how you feel. [Chuckles] A kiss is kind of a poor substitute sometimes, but it's better than nothing, eh?

[Knock on door]

Sami: [Laughing] I have to answer the door. Just give me a sec.

[Knocking continues]

[Clears throat]

Lucas: Everybody's gone now.

Sami: Actually, I do need to talk to you about something.

Lucas: It's a bad time. I have to go.

Sami: No, this is really important.

Lucas: Fine. Just make it quick, okay?

Sami: I'll be right back. Just one sec.

E.J.: Sure. Okay. No problem.

Shawn D.: You got three seconds to tell me the truth, or I walk. Three, two, one.

Belle: Okay, okay. Shawn, Philip and I planted that gun that you found behind the pub.

Shawn D.: What?

Belle: I felt horrible about that letter that I wrote to the academy, and I was just trying to make up for it.

Shawn D.: Wait a minute. So, you and Philip planted that gun? So, that means that the gun was -- how the hell did you get your hands on it?

Belle: Philip had it.

Shawn D.: That son of a -- I cannot believe you, Belle.

Belle: I was just trying to help you.

Shawn D.: By lying to me?

Belle: If you found that gun, you would be the hero. You'd be a shoo-in for the academy.

Shawn D.: Whose bright idea was this? I'm guessing it was Philip's.

Belle: He wanted to help you. I wanted to help you.

Shawn D.: And what did he get in return?

Belle: H-he wanted some time alone with me.

Shawn D.: I bet he did. I'm gonna --

Belle: Shawn, no. Nothing happened. I swear. We just talked.

Shawn D.: Oh, and why should I believe you, Belle, huh? Everything else you lied about. So, that means the thugs in the alley, the gun, everything was a total setup.

Belle: If I'd known you would have gotten this upset about it, I never would have done it.

Shawn D.: What do you expect? You just think I'm a total loser, don't you? Is that what this is about?

[Cheers and applause]

Cynthia: Hey, Kev. I almost didn't recognize you without the --

Kevin: Forget it, Cynthia. I'm engaged.

Mr. Woods: And this, people, will be our one serious award of the evening. The young man standing next to me has been on not one but two tours of duty, fighting for his country. He's not only one of Salem's best but a true American hero.

Philip: Thank you.

Jason: Yeah, Phil!

Philip: Thank you. I'm really flattered, but there are a lot more people out there who are way more heroic than I was, but thank you. [Applause]

Mr. Woods: Make no mistake. He may be modest, but Philip here has always been a winner.

[Cheers and applause]

Belle: I don't think you're a loser. How can you even suggest that?

Shawn D.: This is the third time that you interfered. You got the job interview last summer. You had Philip set it up, and then you lied to me about it. And now this.

Belle: I'm sorry.

Shawn D.: Just butt out, all right? Let me make my own mistakes. And if I get into the academy, I want to get in on my own merits.

Belle: I'm sorry. I don't know what else you want me to say.

Shawn D.: The one who's gonna be sorry is Philip. That gun that he had was used in an attempted murder. You think they're just gonna let that slide?

Kayla: I wonder how Shawn and Belle's reunion's going.

Hope: Shawn said some of his buddies from his basketball team were gonna be there.

Kayla: That should be fun.

Hope: Yeah.

Steve: [Exhales sharply] [Door slams]

Hope: What did you find out?

Steve: Well, it's pretty interesting. No way Stefano had anything to do with that fancy brake job.

Bo: No, it was an amateur.

Hope: Any other leads?

Bo: Nope. Did you get ahold of Billie?

Hope: Yeah, she's on her way.

Kayla: What do you want to talk to Billie about?

Bo: Her brother Lucas.

Sami: Uncle Bo and Abe were here looking for a gun? Since when do we keep firearms in the house, Lucas? We have children.

Lucas: There's no gun in this house.

Sami: And there never was? Lucas, why? [Crying] Oh, my God.

Lucas: It was for protection, just in case the DiMeras got out of line again. But it was safe. I kept it locked up.

Sami: It isn't about that. Lucas... since when did you stop caring about my opinion about anything?

Lucas: Wait a minute. You married E.J. You divorced me. Where was my opinion then? That didn't matter.

Sami: It did matter. You agreed to the divorce.

Lucas: I didn't have any choice, did I?

Sami: Neither of us had a choice.

Lucas: Here we go again. Let's argue, then. I can't believe we're doing this.

Sami: Lucas. Lucas, I trust you.

Lucas: I trust you, too. That's why this is so crazy.

Sami: This seems a bit of a role reversal here, but I am gonna ask you to please tell me the truth. Why did the police suspect that you had something to do with E.J.'s shooting?

Lucas: Because they think I was at the church that night.

Sami: But you werenít. I mean, you were here babysitting the twins, right? I mean, that's what you to-- told me. Lucas... please tell me you didn't try to murder E.J.

Sami: I want the truth, Lucas. Please tell me that you did not try to kill E.J.

Lucas: I did not try to kill E.J. I was here, taking care of Johnny and Allie the whole evening.

Sami: [Sighs] Thank God. [Voice breaking] Lucas, if I thought Ė

Lucas: What, you thought that I pulled the trigger?

Sami: What if you went to jail?

Lucas: You think I'd do that? You think I'd miss out on the chance to see my kids grow up? No way. Not for him. Not for E.J. DiMera.

E.J.: Well, Samantha may have no idea who tried to kill me, but, uh, Lucas... [Clicks tongue] Not so sure.

Hope: I'm gonna give them a ride home.

Kayla: We'll just take a cab.

Hope: It's no problem at all.

Steve: Baby, wait a minute. Hope's got heated seats in her car.

Hope: I do have a Stones CD.

Steve: Let's rock 'n' roll.

Bo: See you guys later.

Hope: Grab these. I'll be right out, okay? And don't do anything that Bo and I wouldn't do.

Bo: Don't -- ooh.

Hope: Are you gonna be here for a while?

Bo: Depends on when Billie shows up.

Hope: I just need to talk to you about something about Shawn and Belle.

Bo: I thought we were gonna let them live their lives.

Hope: I just need to talk to you.

Bo: Okay.

Mr. Woods: You've turned into a fine young man.

Philip: Thank you, sir.

Mr. Woods: Don't forget to update your information with Devon. He's right over there by the entrance.

Jason: My man. Nice speech, man. So, a couple of us are going back to Hawk's for a little retox. Want to come with us?

Philip: I'll pass.

Jason: Beer pong. You sure?

Philip: Sorry, bro. What exactly did you tell Shawn?

Chloe: I told him that I saw you and Belle staying there at the hotel.

Philip: Why would you do that?

Chloe: Maybe I felt like I owed it to him.

Philip: Since when?

Chloe: Philip, most of my high school existence I was picked on -- that stupid opera girl website, the dead rat in my locker, the pig's blood.

Philip: Which landed on me.

Chloe: Because Shawn pushed me out of the way. I was treated like you know what, Philip. There was no way I was gonna let Shawn get treated the same way.

Philip: Where is she?

Chloe: I don't know.

Philip: I have to find her.

Susan: [Laughing] Oh, no, are you leaving?

Chloe: Yeah, I think I've had enough fun for one night.

Susan: I'm so glad you came, though.

Kevin: And we're really glad that you're doing so well.

Chloe: Thank you. So nice seeing you, Penny. Mwah.

Kevin: You know, we're gonna be in town for a few more days. Why don't we go to Java Cafť?

Chloe: Sure. Sounds great.

Susan: We should get a picture of the four of us before you go. Oh, Cynthia, would you mind taking our picture?

Chloe: All right. Together here.

Jason: Whoo! That's a keeper.

Kevin: Why don't we get one with Belle and Shawn?

Penny: Yeah, and Philip.

Chloe: Uh, I kind of doubt that they'd be up for that right now.

Belle: Why can't we just leave things the way they are? It's better for everyone. Shawn, please, don't tell your dad.

Shawn D.: I got to tell him the truth.

Belle: At least just think about it.

Shawn D.: I'm not gonna take credit for finding that gun.

Belle: Why? You deserve it.

Shawn D.: How do you figure because I fought off some guy in the alley who was hired by Philip? Everything about this is a lie. If I play along with it and pretend to be the hero, I'm gonna be in debt to Philip till the day I die.

Belle: That's not true. Philip doesn't expect anything from you. Shawn, please, you can't do this. Philip could get arrested.

Shawn D.: I don't give a damn.

Philip: If you really care about Belle, you'll put that phone down. Come on, man. She'll be charged as an accessory. If they get me, they get her. Do you really want that to happen?

Bo: Hey. Sorry to drag you down here.

Billie: Yeah, no problem.

Bo: Listen, you let me know when you have something that ties Ford Decker to those campus rapes. I want to bury that punk.

Billie: I will. I will. Okay, let's cut to the chase. Why did you want to talk to me about Lucas?

Bo: He's lying to me about where he was the night Junior was shot.

Lucas: I got to go right now, okay, but just be careful with E.J.

Sami: Lucas, what are you talking about? Where are you going in such a hurry?

Lucas: I have to pick up a package at the warehouse before it closes.

Sami: Oh. A package. Well, maybe you could just get it in the morning.

Lucas: No. No, I can't do that. Um, I'd feel a lot better with the package home, you know, where it belongs.

Sami: What's so important? What's in it?

Lucas: Just -- it's business stuff. It's kind of time sensitive. It's investment contracts and whatnot.

Sami: Come on. Can't they just deliver it, please?

Lucas: No, honey, they canít. Unh-unh. I got to go. I got to go. I'll be back. I'll be back soon, before you know it.

E.J.: Hmm. Investment papers. We'll see about that. Salem, please. Yes, could I be connected with air move express? [American accent] Hi, this is Lucas Horton. This is Lucas Horton. Hi, this is Lucas Horton.

Hope: What did Philip do that's got you so worked up?

Bo: Did Lucas stay at his apartment that entire night, or did he take a little trip over to the church?

E.J.: I don't see why I have to live up to all of my promises when all you do is lie to me.
