Sami: Princess. Are you excited to spend the morning with your daddy? I know he's excited to be with you, honey. All right. You sit in here to play, okay, sweetheart? Okay. Oh, there you go, honey. There you go. Get cozy. Did, um, Johnny finish his bottle?

Lucas: He's almost done. That burp cycle's coming up soon. Got to be ready for that.

Sami: And you're okay with the twins while I go on some errands?

Lucas: Yeah. I guess. Depends on what errands.

Sami: Well, I was gonna see my mom, and then I thought I'd hit the shoe sale at Barrons. Do you want an itinerary?

Lucas: No, we're good. Take as long as you want.

Sami: I thought maybe we could have lunch at Chez Rouge. And I know how much Maggie loves seeing the twins.

Lucas: It's kind of a bad day for me.

Sami: Well, I guess maybe some other time when we're not so crazed.

Lucas: Cool. Yes. Yes.

Sami: Lucas, are we okay?

Lucas: I don't know. Kind of hard to tell from one moment to the next, isn't it?

Sami: I am lying to E.J. to make him think that I have feelings for him.

Lucas: Right, but he believes you, thinks you're in love with him.

Sami: I'm not. I'm in love with you.

Lucas: Yeah.

Sami: I really hope you believe that.

Lucas: Yeah, sometimes I do. Most of the time, anyway.

Sami: I'm gonna find a way to convince you all the time, because I know in my heart that we are forever. I love you. Bye, sweetheart. I'll be back as soon as I can, okay?

Lucas: Yeah. What do you want?

E.J.: I want to see my son.

Caroline: Oh, Max, thank you for giving me a helping hand.

Max: Yeah.

Caroline: Shouldn't you be at the Cheatin' Heart?

Max: Uh... well, I got temporarily replaced by my boss' sons.

Caroline: Oh!

Max: Yeah. Adrienne got their combined cellphone bill.

Caroline: Uh-oh. High?

Max: Off the charts. So now she's having them work there. They're sweeping the floors. They're cleaning the kitchen. Every job that she could possibly imagine done, she's having done.

Caroline: I see.

Max: But, you know, I'm still tending bar fully.

Caroline: Yeah, and you're working there late at night. Then you come over here early to help us open.

Max: Well... Mom...

Caroline: Yes?

Max: I like to keep busy.

Caroline: Yeah, but just don't wear yourself out, you know, sweetheart. Don't.

Max: I have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead.

Caroline: Will you stop that? Don't say that. You're a young man. There is more to life, you know, than cleaning glasses and tending bar. I'm speaking of the fair sex.

Max: Mom, what did I tell you, huh? You're the only woman in my life. You know that. You know that. It's just you.

Caroline: Get up, you silly boy. That was fine when you were a kid. But, you know, the right girl in your life could make a big difference to you.

Max: Pop got the last good girl in this world, Mom.

Caroline: Come on. There must be somebody special you got your eye on.

Stephanie: Here you go.

Carmen: Oh, thanks. I hope this tea isn't spiked.

Stephanie: It's chamomile. It's supposed to be soothing.

Carmen: It's gonna take more than tea leaves to chill me out.

Stephanie: Did you sleep at all?

Carmen: No. Every time I closed my eyes, there he was falling, the sound of his head hitting the stairs, Slone not being able to find a pulse, doing CPR.

Stephanie: We did everything we could to save him.

Carmen: We drugged him, Steph.

Stephanie: He went after Chelsea. He was gonna rape her just like he did Cordy and God knows how many others. He deserved what he got.

Carmen: Jail for sure, but getting killed?

Stephanie: Ford was a twisted pig rapist.

Cordy: I'm glad he's dead. I don't have to be afraid anymore, and he can't hurt me or the other girls he's raped ever again.

Morgan: Chelsea. Hey, sweetie, wake up, hon. Hey.

Chelsea: [Sighs] Oh, my God, my head.

Morgan: Here. Take some aspirin. You remember anything from last night?

Chelsea: How much did I drink?

Morgan: Sweetie, it's not a hangover. Ford Decker slipped you that date drug. In fact, you pretty much got a double dose.

Carmen: How is she?

Morgan: She's still pretty out of it. In fact, I doubt she'll remember anything. Small blessing, actually.

Carmen: We're gonna have a meeting to decide what to do about -- you know.

Morgan: Okay, I'll be there in a sec.

Cordy: Hey, how's Chelsea?

Morgan: She's slowly coming out of it.

Carmen: I wish Decker would. I wish this whole thing was just one big nightmare.

Slone: You mean it's not?

Stephanie: Look, we have a dead man in our basement. We have to deal with that.

Morgan: I'm opening the floor to suggestions.

Carmen: We can't just leave him there.

Slone: That's for sure.

Stephanie: First we have to haul him up the stairs.

Morgan: While the other sisters are at class.

Carmen: I did my part last night. I am not touching him again.

Morgan: I'm sorry, y'all, but there is no way I'm going into that creepy cellar to dispose of a rotting corpse.

Stephanie: Morgan, get a grip. He's only been dead for a few hours.

Slone: I think I'm gonna hurl.

Stephanie: Slone, relax. It just looks like he's sleeping.

Carmen: Do you think there's any chance we were wrong and he's just been knocked unconscious?

Slone: He didn't have a pulse. I checked.

Carmen: It's not like you're a doctor.

Morgan: Carmen, face it. He's dead.

Carmen: What if you were wrong? Suppose he came to and he's just been wandering around this house waiting for us.

Cordy: Oh, my God.

Slone: You're creeping me out.

Stephanie: When did you all become a bunch of big babies? There's only one way to find out if Ford's really dead. Who's going down with me? Come on, ladies.

Sami: It's nasty out there.

Marlena: Come have some hot cocoa. That'll warm you right up.

Sami: Mom, how are you?

Marlena: Well, there are some good days, and there are some...not-so-good days. What about you?

Sami: This is definitely a not-so-good day.

Marlena: I would ask if you were having problems at home, but I'm not sure where you live.

Sami: Mom... I think I did make a big mistake juggling Lucas and E.J. and the babies.

Marlena: Yeah. Come sit down. Talk to me.

Sami: Okay, so, I was at E.J.'s, and he grabbed me and pulled me into his lap. And Lucas walked in.

Marlena: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. He grabbed you?

Sami: He was just kidding. He wasn't trying to hurt me. He was acting like a newlywed.

Marlena: Well, Sami, he is a newlywed.

Sami: Lucas was furious.

Marlena: I'm not surprised.

Sami: But he doesn't understand. I'm just going through the motions. I mean, Lucas won't believe that.

Marlena: And if things were reversed, would you believe it?

Sami: Of course I would. Lucas knows why I am doing this.

Marlena: All right. Several months ago I asked you how you felt about E.J. You were very defensive.

Sami: Because I couldn't believe that my mom would ask me those questions. Mom, listen to me. What I feel for E.J. is, like, loathing.

Marlena: Are you sure about that?

Lucas: So, you want to see your son.

E.J.: Yes. Be reasonable, please. I let him spend the night here with his mother and his sister.

Lucas: Yeah, you're right. Come on in.

E.J.: Thank you. May I, uh -- may I hold him, please?

Lucas: Yeah, just be really careful with him, all right? I don't know about the wheelchair.

E.J.: All right.

Lucas: Watch the bottle. Got him? Get his head, too.

E.J.: Oh! Hi! Oh!

Lucas: Yeah, the bottle. There you go.

E.J.: There we go. [Laughs] He's so perfect, isn't he? You're so helpless. Yes. You're so vulnerable. Want a little bit of that?

Lucas: Is that how you feel? I mean, it must have been a hell of a blow when they told you that your legs are useless.

E.J.: It was certainly hard to hear, yeah. And I got very low, but... Samantha changed all that.

Lucas: Really? I know your legs are useless, but are you brain-dead, too?

Max: Okay, Ma, look, I'll cut you a deal. If I win the lottery and a girl comes with it, then you'll be the first to know.

Caroline: What about that pretty girl that you brought here?

Max: Who, Morgan?

Caroline: Yeah.

Max: She's a friend.

Caroline: Just friend?

Max: I can't do anything serious right now, Mom.

Caroline: There's more to life than bartending.

Max: Yeah, but bartending is my first stop toward my next big adventure. You know what I mean?

Caroline: What might that be?

Max: I don't know, but when I figure it out, I'll tell you.

Caroline: [Chuckles] Max... just don't let the right girl slip by.

Stephanie: Come on, guys. This is getting us nowhere.

Morgan: Y'all, Steph needs help. You want to just draw straws?

Cordy: Why don't we just brick him up inside of a wall?

Carmen: You read too much Poe.

Morgan: Y'all, I'm sorry. I'm not gonna brick a dead body up in some wall.

Slone: Well, we've got to figure something out or we're all gonna end up in jail.

Carmen: So tough it out. Help Steph move the body.

Slone: And wake up screaming for the rest of my life?

Stephanie: Forget it. I'll take the trash out myself.

Morgan: Steph, you're not serious.

Stephanie: Go. Go to your classes. Act like your everyday selves.

Morgan: How are you gonna do this alone?

Stephanie: Let me worry about that, okay? But none of you breathe a word of this to anyone.

Morgan: I really think this is a secret no one's gonna talk about.

Stephanie: Good, because our lives depend on it.

Carmen: To the grave?

All: To the grave.

Stephanie: Okay, I'm gonna go change into something I can toss when I'm finished.

Morgan: Steph, wait. Y'all, we're all in this together, right?

Carmen: Yeah.

Morgan: Then how come we're letting our sister do all the dirty work? Y'all, we're acting like a bunch of scaredy-cats.

Carmen: Morgan's right. We all need to pitch in.

Slone: So, what's the plan?

Stephanie: Look, you guys are the greatest, but the less people involved, the better.

Morgan: How are you gonna do this by yourself, sweetie?

Cordy: Besides, why should you take all the risk?

Stephanie: It's personal for all of us. Now, go on. Go to your classes. Go to the library. Do whatever you do, okay? Go on.

Morgan: Okay.

Carmen: Thank you, Stephanie.

Morgan: Look, Steph, I just want you to know you're really amazing. Thank you. Okay.

Max: All right, Ma, when I settle down, I'll let you know. But right now I'm perfectly happy with the status quo.

Caroline: All right. Okay. Just try to find a girl that doesn't need 24-hour rescue service.

Max: Excuse me?

Caroline: All my sons have something in common. It's the superman syndrome.

Max: Ma, will you cut it out, okay? I'm nobody's hero, all right?

Caroline: Okay. Just try to find a girl that'll take care of you for a change. [Cellphone rings]

Max: Oh. Excuse me.

Caroline: Oh, okay.

Max: Hey, Steph, what's up?

Stephanie: Max. I'm in big trouble. I need your help right now.

Sami: Okay, maybe I do have more feelings for E.J. than just loathing. Maybe I feel sorry for him.

Marlena: You feel sorry for him? The man is a monster. He is pure evil.

Sami: Look, I agree, okay?

Marlena: All right. You understand. Sami, I've got to tell you something. I may have to go to prison for trying to kill E.J.

Sami: What?

Marlena: We both know that I was at the wedding.

Sami: You were the woman in black with the veil.

Marlena: Yes, I went there with a gun. I was about to avenge John's death.

Sami: Mom. But wait a second. There were three shots fired.

Marlena: Mine was one. You know when people talk about feeling like they're in a dream? That was what it was like for me. I don't remember driving there or going into the church or squeezing the trigger on the gun. As I was holding it, I remember aiming the gun. And then something happened -- it wa-- it was as though John's spirit was there and kept me from doing it. About that moment, I heard a shot, and it startled me so that the gun in my hand went off. But I'm not sure. I don't think that it was my bullet that shot E.J.

Sami: How can you be sure that it wasn't yours?

Marlena: Because the police collected the two other bullets that didn't hit E.J., and I do think one of those was mine.

Sami: But, Mom, what if it wasn't? What if you are the one who shot him?

Marlena: Well, then I will go to prison for that -- for attempted murder.

Sami: You'll never make it to prison. Stefano will see to that.

Marlena: I am not afraid of Stefano.

Sami: I'm afraid for you.

Marlena: Sami, I confessed.

Sami: What?

Marlena: I turned John's gun over to Hope. I'm waiting now for Roman to come in here and arrest me.

Sami: NO. No, daddy can't arrest you.

Marlena: He's not gonna have any choice in the matter.

Sami: What about Kate? Didn't he already arrest her for the same charge?

Marlena: You know what? When I think of all the harm the DiMeras have caused this family...I'm wishing that was my bullet. In fact, I would be happy if I had killed the man.

E.J.: I know what you're getting at, Lucas. And, yes, when Samantha told me about her feelings, frankly, I doubted their sincerity. I thought that she was either taking pity on me or she was afraid of what my father would do if I died.

Lucas: And your father -- he has a very persuasive way about him, doesn't he?

E.J.: Doesn't he just?

Lucas: Mm-hmm. Just, she's told some huge lies in the past, that's all.

E.J.: She sealed this one with a kiss.

Lucas: Oh.

E.J.: A kiss given freely after she'd already fulfilled the terms of our bargain by marrying me. There was no reason for her to do anything else.

Lucas: Oh, that's right. She married you to get your old man off our backs. She pretty much hated you the whole time. And now she's kissing you. I guess that's it for me, huh? I need to throw in the towel.

E.J.: Nice try, Lucas, but you're not going to make me doubt my own wife.

Lucas: Well, I was just, uh, you know, congratulating you is all. I mean, you won the fair maiden. It's time for me to bow out gracefully.

E.J.: You certainly seemed fairly upset when she was sitting on my lap just earlier.

Lucas: I was a little worried about you.

E.J.: Oh, you were? Oh, wonderful. That's very sweet of you. Thank you.

Lucas: Yeah. No problem. No sense in being a sore loser, right?

E.J.: You know, Lucas, you seem very sure of yourself today. Is there something that I'm missing?

Lucas: Are you saying I'm insincere? Is that it?

E.J.: The thought had occurred to me, yes.

Lucas: No, not at all. You know, you won. She's chosen you. I'm sure Sami's looking forward to a long, happy life as Mrs. DiMera, that is until she's devastated when her father-in-law dies.

E.J.: Oh. Oh, I see. I see where this is going. You think she's gonna come running back to you, don't you?

Lucas: Why would she do that? You're the love of her life. How could you even think that way?

Sami: What are you two doing?

[Knock on door]

Max: Steph.

Stephanie: Max. Thank God.

Max: What's going on?

Stephanie: Something awful's happened.

Max: Is this about Decker?

Stephanie: He came over last night. Actually, we invited him.

Max: What?

Stephanie: It was supposed to be payback, let him know what it feels like to be drugged and victimized.

Max: You drugged him?

Stephanie: We all did. Only he managed to drug Chelsea, too.

Max: Aw, jeez.

Stephanie: No, it's okay. We jumped on him before anything could happen.

Max: So, where's Chelsea now?

Stephanie: She's in her room sleeping it off.

Max: That's it. I'm out of here.

Stephanie: Where are you going?

Max: I'm gonna find Decker, and I'm gonna kick his butt.

Stephanie: Max, he's here.

Max: He's here?

Steph: In the basement.

Max: Is he still drugged?

Stephanie: No. He's dead.

Chelsea: Steph, is that you?

Ford: Surprise! Let's see. Last night. Where did we leave off?

Max: Ford's dead? You're joking, right?

Stephanie: I wish I was.

Max: Okay, you need to tell me what happened.

Stephanie: We got sick and tired of ford getting away with rape. The cops couldn't do anything. The university wouldn't. And it was our word against the almighty Deckers, who own this town. No one seemed to care, so we came up with a plan. Only it all went crazy.

Max: Crazy enough to kill Decker?

Stephanie: It was an accident. We spiked his drink, but we didn't think that it was gonna kill him.

Max: What did you think was gonna happen after you drugged him? What did you think you were gonna do?

Stephanie: Scarke he's never been scared before. Only nothing went as planned. The minute Ford felt the first effects of the drug, he knew Chelsea had tricked him. Chelsea was already losing it because he had spiked her drink and she had some of his. Then Ford started to attack her, but we came out, and we jumped on him.

Morgan: Back off, Ford!

Ford: Huh?

Stephanie: Aah!

Stephanie: Chelsea ran up the stairs, and Ford got away from us. And he went after her. And I guess that's when the drugs really started to kick in because...he fell backwards down the stairs. And he never got up. The fall killed him.

Max: Are you sure about that?

Stephanie: What difference does it make?

Max: It makes a hell of a difference if he's still alive.

Ford: You and I have some unfinished business, little girl.

Chelsea: Don't be so --

Ford: Don't what? Don't make you wait? Oh, no. You asked for it. You're gonna get it. I've been waiting for this for a long time, baby.

E.J.: I was just visiting my son, having quite a lovely conversation with Lucas.

Sami: I see.

E.J.: You know, I think anybody who says there's too much of a good thing has never held their infant child in their arms. He's fast asleep. Maybe it would be better if he laid with his sister.

Sami: Yeah. Yeah, of course. Here.

E.J.: Be careful.

Sami: I got him. Shh! Shh! Shh!

E.J.: Okay. I'm gonna head back over and finish my workout.

Lucas: Okay, good. I'll get the door for you.

E.J.: Thank you, Lucas. I certainly appreciate your hospitality. And I'll see you both soon.

Lucas: Always good to see you.

Sami: Lucas, what were you doing?

Lucas: What? I was just letting him know how lucky he is to be the winner of your affection.

Sami: You were trying to make him suspicious.

Lucas: Do you think I was? I don't know. I think he ate it up.

Sami: Stop it, okay? This is serious. We have to make him believe that I'm falling in love with him. Our future depends on it.

Lucas: Then we're all good. Everything's fine. Don't worry about it.

Sami: Where are you going?

Lucas: I'm going out for some fresh air. Remember when you asked me if we were okay, everything was cool between us? Quite honestly, I don't know. I mean, I don't know if you're in love with E.J. or not, but clearly he is in love with you.

Sami: Look, he will be as long as you don't make him suspicious.

Lucas: You're playing with fire. Be careful.

Lucas: Hey, Mom.

Kate: Ahh. Well, I have to say I was very happy to get your call.

Lucas: Don't get too excited. This isn't a social visit.

Kate: Well, whatever the reason, it's still good to see you.

Lucas: I heard you were arrested and booked for trying to kill E.J.

Kate: I did not shoot E.J., and the ballistics proved it.

Lucas: You know what? I don't care about E.J. 'Cause there was a bullet hole in Sami's wedding dress. So, I'm gonna ask you one more time, and I want you to tell me the truth right now, right here. Who did you go there to kill, Sami or E.J.?

[Cellphone rings]

Sami: Hi.

E.J.: Hey. I, um, I need you.

Sami: E.J.?

E.J.: I'm serious. I need some help.

Sami: Um, E.J., Lucas left. I'm here alone.

E.J.: Samantha, please.

Sami: E.J.? E.J. what now? All right, mommy will be right back, sweetie. Okay. E.J.? E-E.J.! Oh, my God. E.J., what are you doing?

E.J.: Hey.

Stephanie: I've already gone through this once this morning with my Theta sisters. They wondered if Ford was really dead, too, and they wanted me to go downstairs and double-check.

Max: Did you?

Stephanie: Max, he had no pulse. Carmen and I dragged him down the stairs and left him on the basement floor.

Max: Okay, why didn't you call the police?

Stephanie: Because we lured him here and drugged him.

Max: Not good, but you didn't intend on killing him, and it was an accident.

Stephanie: Right, but we're responsible for what happened. That'll get us charged with manslaughter or negligent homicide at the very least.

Max: You didn't intend on hurting him.

Stephanie: I know that. Maybe that'll keep us from being charged with premeditated murder, and that's if they believe us. Of course, if they think about all the ways we've been out to get Ford -- turning him in to the dean, setting up flyers all over the campus --

Max: Not reporting it immediately makes it look even worse, Steph.

Stephanie: We had no choice if we want to stay out of prison. Come on, Max. It's true. You know it's true.

Max: You guys are taking a huge chance, you know.

Stephanie: Ford was evil. He was a rich preppy who could have any girl he wanted. Instead he drugged them and raped them. It was all a sick power trip that he got off on. He liked to see them helpless and unable to stop him from doing what he liked to do. He raped Cordy. And...

Max: He nearly raped Morgan.

Stephanie: And got away without even a hand slap. How many girls do you think he's raped? Girls too ashamed and afraid to come forward and report him. How many girls do you think would have been his victim in the weeks and months to come?

Max: Look, I know Ford's disgusting --

Stephanie: We never meant to hurt him, much less kill him. But am I willing to spend the rest of my life in jail because of him? No, I'm not.

Max: I don't want you to either.

Steph: If Ford's dad finds out what we did to him, he will not rest until every girl in this sorority house is ruined.

Max: So, you need to get rid of the body.

Stephanie: I promised the other girls I'd get rid of him before they got back.

Max: That's why you called me. So, we do this how?

Stephanie: I don't know. I've never done anything like this before.

Max: You think I have?

Stephanie: I'm so sorry. I didn't know who else to call.

Max: It's okay. Look, you did the right thing. All right, look, first we need to -- we need to see if he's really dead.

Stephanie: Max, he is.

Max: Maybe. Maybe he's just knocked out or something.

Stephanie: Max? I'm scared. What if Ford's not really dead?

Chelsea: [Whimpers]

Ford: Why are you shaking, you little hottie? Little Ford motor got you going, huh?

Chelsea: I'm sorry. I just wanted to --

Ford: Teach me a lesson, huh? No. I like it better when I'm the teacher. Lesson one... I teach you to scream bloody murder.

Sami: E.J., what happened?

E.J.: I was working out with my weights. I lost my balance.

Sami: Should I call someone?

E.J.: No, would you just give me a hand with the chair, please?

Sami: Yeah, of course. Listen, I don't know if I can get you back up into the chair.

E.J.: Just hold it still, Samantha. I'll get myself into it.

Sami: Okay. Okay. Here. Oh, wait. Let me get the weight out of the way. Listen, I really think you should hire a nurse or something.

E.J.: I don't need a nurse, all right?! If I need something, I need my wife in my apartment as opposed to next door with her lover!

Kate: Lucas, you have my word.

Lucas: As what, a compulsive liar?

Kate: I did not aim at Sami. My target was E.J.

Lucas: Because he ratted you out?

Kate: Yes. Yes, he did. Deliberately. He tried to poison our relationship.

Lucas: Our relationship was already poisoned because you and E.J. faked that attempt on your life. You know what, Mom? I got to give you major credit for special effects and gall.

Kate: I am not ashamed of what I did. I was desperate, Lucas.

Lucas: You shot bullet holes in your own car to make it look like a DiMera hit.

Kate: Actually, no. E.J. fired the gun.

Lucas: You know, it doesn't matter who fired the damn gun. You were watching. You were there. You were a part of it.

Kate: You watch your tone with me. What I did I did to keep you safe, to keep Sami safe, and to keep the babies safe.

Lucas: How do you figure that?

Kate: If you believed that the threat was real, you would divorce Sami and she would marry E.J. And then the terms of Stefano's vendetta would be satisfied, and all of you would be safe.

Lucas: Never mind the fact that would force Sami and I to split up. But you don't care about that.

Kate: NO. No. That's not the reason I went to the church.

Lucas: Then why did you go to the church?

Kate: Do you remember that I asked you if there was anything I could do to get back in your good graces?

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah. Which time?

Kate: And you told me to stop the wedding and you would forgive me.

Lucas: I didn't want you to shoot anybody.

Kate: As much as I despise Sami, I love you more. And if Sami and E.J.'s marriage was going to break your heart --

Lucas: Don't tell me this. I don't want to hear it. Don't tell me you would kill for me.

Kate: All I want is for you to be happy -- for you to be happy and to know how much I love you.

Max: This reminds me of something.

Stephanie: What?

Max: When I got trapped in the church and found that skeleton.

Stephanie: I don't think Ford's that far along.

Max: Yeah. Well, let's check it out. Are you ready?

Stephanie: Let's do it.

Chelsea: Aah!

Stephanie: Oh, my God. That's Chelsea. Go.

Chelsea: Get off me!

Stephanie: Chelse. Chelse, wake up. You're having a bad dream. You're having a bad dream, okay? It's me, Steph. Wake up. No one's gonna hurt you.

Chelsea: He was here. He was here.

Sami: Okay. Got it?

E.J.: Yeah, got it.

Sami: Well, it looks like you definitely have your arm strength. What do you need to work out your arms for? It's your legs we need to focus on.

E.J.: Yeah, well, you do your legs. Then you do your inner core. The rest follows, you know?

Sami: I really think you should hire a professional physical therapist like you said you would.

E.J.: I don't find strangers very inspirational, to be honest.

Sami: E.J., if you have any chance of walking again --

E.J.: I'm going to walk again, okay? I will walk again. You leave that to me. I'm gonna take my son to the park. I'm gonna take my wife dancing. I've got plenty of reasons to want to live.

Sami: I should probably get back to the twins.

E.J.: Look, Samantha, before you go, there is no doubt in my mind that you are the reason that I'm alive. You gave me faith in us. You reminded me of my son. I have no greater reason to want to fight to walk again. You gave me that strength.

Sami: To be the man you were.

E.J.: No. To be the man that you need me to be. [Baby cries]

Sami: Sounds like they're calling me.

E.J.: Hey... you'll never know the gift that you've given me, sweetheart. And I will never forget it. Go. Go on. Go be with those babies.

Sami: I'll be back.

E.J.: Go. [Crying continues]

Sami: [Sighs] Mama's coming.

Kate: Okay, look. I'm going to take a risk here and bring something up.

Lucas: Well, go ahead. I've seen you at your worst. No sense in backing down now.

Kate: Lucas, I want you back in my life, and I have a plan to help you with Sami.

Lucas: You're gonna offer your services as a babysitter? Is that it?

Kate: Look, I know how difficult it is for you having E.J. and Sami living right across the hallway from you.

Lucas: It's nothing I can't handle. I'm fine.

Kate: Come on. Who are you trying to fool? That is a ridiculous situation, and you need to do something about E.J.

Lucas: What am I gonna do, Mom, release the brake on his wheelchair and shove him down some steps?

Kate: No. No. But I have a plan that will end that marriage once and for all.

Lucas: All right, I want to hear it.

Kate: Sami and E.J. are married, right? But what if we make it look like the threat against the Bradys is continuing? I mean, that's the only reason she married him, right?

Lucas: Yeah.

Kate: She married him to protect her family. And if she believes that the DiMeras are not honoring the terms of their agreement, she's gonna get the hell out of that marriage, and she'll be back with you before you know it. What do you think?

Lucas: I think it just might work.

Kate: Ahh. Are you in?

Lucas: Yeah, I'm in.

Kate: Good.

Chelsea: He was here. Ford -- he's alive.

Stephanie: Chelsea, you were dreaming.

Chelsea: No, he was gonna kill me.

Stephanie: It's over. Ford can't hurt you anymore.

[Door opens]

Max: Okay, I went down to the basement. The body was right where you said he was. He's dead.

Chelsea: Oh, God. I killed him.

Stephanie: No. No. It was an accident. He lost his balance, and he fell down the stairs.

Chelsea: Nobody's gonna believe that.

Stephanie: No one's gonna know, I promise.

Chelsea: What are we gonna do?

Max: Don't worry. I'll get rid of the body, and I'll come back up here and we'll get rid of any trace of evidence. No one will know about this except for me, you guys, and your sisters.

Stephanie: We all made a pact to carry this secret to our graves.

Hope: What's going to happen to Marlena? Is she going to be arrested for attempted murder?

Marlena: You must do the right thing.

Roman: And I intend to.

Chelsea: Stephanie, nothing is ever gonna be okay again.
