Steve: Who's gonna repaint that wall?

Kayla: I just posted our entire family tree here and you're worried about who's gonna paint the wall?

Steve: I hate to paint. I remember that much.

Kayla: Um, well, you must recognize this couple. Look happy, don't they?

Steve: What do you want me to say?

Kayla: There is a method to my madness.

Steve: Oh, good, so now we're both mad?

Kayla: There. What do you think?

Steve: I don't know.

Kayla: Every face is looking at you with love. Every face is a memory.

Steve: Of what I have no idea.

Kayla: But you will. I-I think the Beatles had it right.

Steve: The who?

Kayla: No, not the who, the Beatles, when they said... "all you need is love."

Steve: Did they say anything about tough love?

Kayla: Don't kid yourself. All love is tough.

Steve: How tough?

Kayla: Depends on how well my patient cooperates.

Hope: I was hoping your dad would have called by now.

Chelsea: He's probably just busy.

Hope: I wish he'd call with some good news.

Chelsea: Well, I have some. Not great news, but good news... for me, at least.

Hope: What's going on?

Chelsea: Um, Nick is going to be getting his own place. He's all about making everything between us perfect, you know, for our first time.

Hope: Right. This is still a very big step.

Chelsea: I know, I know, but we're gonna be responsible and safe and I promise you that.

Hope: Maggie, wow. Look at you, gorgeous. Hip and happening. I love your outfit. We were just actually talking about you, weren't we, Chelse?

Maggie: Oh, um...Chelsea, would you mind if I talk to Hope alone, please?

Chelsea: Oh, not at all.

Maggie: You know, I really am sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your lunch.

Chelsea: No, it's fine. We were done. I'm just gonna go take her for a walk, okay, Hope?

Hope: Thanks. I appreciate that.

Maggie: Thanks a lot.

Hope: What? Why did Chelsea have to leave?

Maggie: Well, I didn't want to embarrass her or myself, but there's something you need to know.

Hope: About what?

Maggie: Well, there's no easy way to say this, so I'm just gonna spit it out. I found a pair of Chelsea's panties under Nick's bed.

Hope: What?

Nick: "Dear Nick, found these peeking out from under your bed. I assume your friend left them behind. Can't wait to catch up. Love, Aunt Maggie." [Knock on window]

Willow: Nick, come on, open up. Open up. Come on.

Nick: Willow. You cannot keep doing this.

Willow: Help a girl out. I'm pregnant.

Nick: Jeez. Watch out, watch your head.

Willow: [Sighs] Where's the warden?

Nick: Aunt Maggie's not here. What do you want?

Willow: Oh, well, as you can tell, I'm not exactly swimming in cash for a wardrobe, and I think I left something here.

Nick: Oh, let me guess -- was it these?

Willow: You found them.

Nick: No, Aunt Maggie did. And now she thinks I'm trafficking girls in and out of here right under her nose.

Willow: Well, I don't know what the crisis is. Now she thinks you're normal -- a normal guy with normal urges.

Nick: If somebody thinks that I'm having sex, I would like it to be true.

Willow: Well, I can change that.

Nick: No, that is not what I meant, okay? That is not what I meant.

Willow: I get it. I get it. The evidence proves that you're guilty, even though you're innocent. Kind of like me, but different. I am innocent, and everybody thinks I'm guilty because there is no evidence to prove that I'm innocent. Weird, huh?

Gabby: Roger, Dragon Watch. Tinda Lao out.

Bo: Did they find him?

Gabby: Search-and-rescue team is still out there, but so far no survivors.

Bo: All right, I'm gonna take the seaplane.

Gabby: Bo, everything's grounded. Nobody's getting in the air.

Bo: I'll find a boat, someway to get out.

Gabby: Wait, wait. Dragon Watch 1-7-9er, this is Tinda Lao station 4-8, over. Roger that. Copy. 1-7-9er, Tinda Lao 4-8 out.

Bo: What, gabby?

Gabby: They found them. They're alive.

Bo: Oh, they're alive. Whoo!

Maggie: So, is this possibly the most embarrassing conversation we've ever had?

Hope: Uh, yeah, pretty much. I would say so. I hate to even think it, but maybe the panties belong to another girl. What do you think?

Maggie: Aren't we talking about our Nick here?

Hope: Nick is a grown man.

Maggie: Yeah, but he's Nick.

Hope: So what? Are you forgetting about Billie, what happened?

Maggie: Okay, okay, so it's possible the panties belong to another girl. But, Hope, Billie's indiscretion aside, the only girl in Nick's life since he came to Salem has been Chelsea.

Hope: I'll talk to her. I'll talk to her.

Maggie: Okay. I'm not a prude. I mean, I really am not, but if they're having sex, would you please ask have a little respect for my home?

Hope: Maggie, if they are having sex, then Chelsea's a much better liar than I ever thought possible. Truly.

Nick: You know what, Willow? You got your wardrobe. Now you have to go.

Willow: Go where?

Nick: Anywhere but here.

Willow: Oh, yeah, okay, I will go and check and see if that park bench is reserved for the night.

Nick: You slept on a park bench?

Willow: Yeah, give me a shopping cart and a cardboard box, it's official.

Nick: Don't say that.

Willow: Nick, you did a good thing -- letting me spend the night here. You should tell your aunt. She would be proud of you.

Nick: [Chuckles] That's a great idea. Unfortunately, those panties are worth a little bit more than a thousand words and no one's gonna believe me.

Willow: What you doing, looking for a new job? I thought you liked the lab.

Nick: Get away from that.

Willow: Oh, it's the real-estate section. Thrown out or moving out? "Quaint one bedroom."

Nick: Will you knock it off?

Willow: This is how it goes. You've got two roofs, and I've got none.

Nick: What do you want, Willow?

Willow: The hairbrush.

Nick: I don't have the hairbrush.

Willow: Do you want to know what I really want? I want a job, but I don't know what to put on the résumé. Accused arsonist, hooker?

Nick: You know what, Willow? You're free now. I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Willow: Free until my trial and then what?

Nick: And then you'll be in jail and you'll have a roof over your head. I'm sorry. That was -- that was a really rotten thing to say.

Willow: You know what? All you care about is Chelsea, so have a great time in your new place. You know what's great about having kids? They don't know the difference between a park bench and a soft bed.

Nick: Willow, wait. I don't know. Maybe...we can figure something out.

Willow: Don't worry about it. You've already done enough.

Nick: You can't sleep on a park bench, all right? [Sighs] Let me look into it.

Bo: Did they say how they are?

Gabby: No, they're still in the water. They spotted them from the chopper.

Bo: Let's try to raise them again.

Gabby: Bo, I doubt they're gonna have anything.

Bo: Let's just try, please.

Gabby: Dragon Watch 1-7-9er, this is Tinda Lao station 4-8. Dragon Watch, come in. This is Tinda Lao. I read you, Dragon Watch. What is the status of the Kiriakis rescue? And the survivors? Roger that. Tinda Lao station 4-8 out.

Bo: How are they?

Gabby: Everybody seems to be fine. They're getting them out of the water. They said they're gonna radio in as soon as everyone's in the chopper.

Bo: So they're okay.

Gabby: Sounds that way.

Bo: Oh, thank God.

Gabby: So, how's about some coffee?

Bo: As long as it's strong.

Gabby: Hey, it's the only way I know how to make it.

Bo: Yeah.

Steve: What's in the coffee?

Kayla: Coffee. You can't imagine how many boxes I went through to find those pictures.

Steve: What the hell is that?

Kayla: Medicine.

Steve: What kind of medicine?

Kayla: Good medicine.

Steve: Am I supposed to take your word for that?

Kayla: You're supposed to take my word for everything.

Steve: Come on, really, what's in the stick?

Kayla: It's a relaxant.

Steve: I don't need that, baby. I'm fine.

Kayla: No. The man who just had a knife to my brother's throat is not fine.

Steve: Come on. We got coffee. We got pictures. We got each other. We don't need the happy hypo.

Kayla: No, we don't. But you do.

Steve: Aah! Ow! Damn. You play dirty, don't you?

Kayla: When it comes to you and us, you bet I do.

Maggie: Okay, well, you know, I need to be going. Thanks for the talk.

Hope: Sure, and I will catch up with you later.

Maggie: Okay. I'll see you, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Bye.

Maggie: Bye, sweetie.

Hope: Is she sleeping?

Chelsea: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Okay. Talk quietly so we don't jinx it.

Chelsea: What was that about? What did I do now?

Hope: You could have been honest with me. You could have been up front with me, Chelsea, and told me the truth.

Chelsea: Told you the truth about what?

Hope: You and Nick. That you and Nick, you know, that...that you and Nick were intimate with one another.

Willow: Believe it or not, Nick, I still have some pride.

Nick: Well, you're right. You can't get a job. You can't go back to the "Y."

Willow: Sorry about bringing up the hairbrush.

Nick: Forget it. Let's just drop it.

Willow: Oh. Sorry.

Nick: It's all right.

Willow: It's okay, it's okay. It's my home away from home.

Nick: Is this everything you own?

Willow: Yeah. Okay, well, I'm gonna go now.

Nick: Wait one minute, Willow. This place in the paper, um... it's not big, but it's in a nice neighborhood.

Willow: Great. Good for you, Nick.

Nick: I think you should take it.

Willow: What?

Nick: The apartment. I think you should live in it.

Willow: I mean, I'd love to, but I don't have any references, no rent.

Nick: I'll call the manager. I'll make all the arrangements.

Willow: Is this a joke?

Nick: No. It's not a joke.

Willow: Well, it was supposed to be for you and Chelsea, though.

Nick: Listen, just take it before I change my mind, okay?

Willow: Thank you so much. You are a lifesaver.

Steve: Damn.

Kayla: Don't rub it. Sorry for the sneak attack.

Steve: Yeah, well, you don't look sorry.

Kayla: You ready for a walk down memory lane?

Steve: So far it's like a walk on a Baghdad Street.

Kayla: Oh, come on. How can you say that? This is our whole life. It's what holds us together.

Steve: It's just faces. I'm just seeing faces.

Kayla: Well, maybe at this moment.

Steve: When is this stuff supposed to relax me anyway?

Kayla: You got to give it a few minutes.

Steve: Let me see that syringe.

Kayla: Why?

Steve: I don't know why. No tricks. Come on, I promise. It's empty. My reflexes are going like spaghetti. Come on, let me see it. Yeah. That was the weapon of choice back in the bin.

Kayla: I'm sorry about that. But we're gonna use it to make you better.

Steve: That's what they always told me. Yeah.

Bo: Whoo, whoo, whoo. Thanks.

Gabby: It's from Duck's private stock. It's for special occasions.

Bo: Yeah, this is certainly a special occasion.

Gabby: Well, it will be as soon as they're back here.

Bo: Can't be soon enough for me.

Gabby: Maybe there's news. Dragon Watch 1-7-9er, this is Tinda Lao station 4-8. Dragon Watch, come in. Roger that. Belle Black. Philip Kiriakis.

Bo: Shawn -- what about Shawn?

Gabby: Shawn Brady. He was the last one out of the water.

Bo: That figures.

Gabby: Dragon Watch, you're breaking up.

Bo: What about the baby?

Gabby: Can you confirm the condition of the child, Claire Kiriakis, over? I repeat, confirm the status of the child.

Bo: What? What's going on?

Gabby: They can't find Claire.

[Harmonica plays]

Steve: God, you're so beautiful.

Kayla: That's just the medicine talking.

Steve: No, it's me talking. You're beautiful. And you know it, too.

Kayla: I don't think this is really appropriate patient/doctor interaction.

Steve: How about this?

Kayla: I think you're really crossing the line, Mr. Johnson.

Steve: I don't need a doctor. I need my wife. I need my wife. Come here, baby.

Kayla: Well, lucky for you, you have both.

Steve: That was crossing the line.

Kayla: You know... these next few weeks aren't gonna be easy.

Steve: Couldn't be any worse than the last 15 years.

Kayla: We're gonna undo that.

Steve: You don't know that.

Kayla: There's no other option.

Steve: How do you know?

Kayla: Because we are not leaving this room...until I have my husband back.

Steve: We're gonna be stuck here for a long time then.

Kayla: Well...being stuck on a tropical island with the man I's not the worst thing that ever happened to me.

Chelsea: Hope, Maggie's wrong. Nick and I never --

Hope: It's just that when we talked earlier --

Chelsea: When we talked earlier, I was telling you the truth. Nothing has happened yet. Honestly. What? What aren't you telling me?

Hope: Maggie found a pair of your panties under Nick's bed.

Chelsea: My panties.

Hope: Yes.

Chelsea: A woman's panties. That's impossible. Nick and I never slept together.

Hope: Chelsea, if you did --

Chelsea: No, we didn't. He gave me this whole speech about not wanting to disrespect his Aunt Maggie. And stupid me, I actually believed him.

Hope: Chelsea --

Chelsea: No. This whole time, he was disrespecting her with little miss panties under his bed.

Hope: Do you think it's possible that maybe Nick's seeing someone else?

Chelsea: Well, if he's not, he sure got a lot of explaining to do.

Willow: Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Nick: All right, stop thanking me, Willow. I know how this game is played.

Willow: What game?

Nick: The whole blackmail game, all right?

Willow: You offered.

Nick: I'll get you the apartment, but then I never, ever want to hear about that hairbrush again.

Willow: Okay.

Nick: Okay.

Bo: What could have happened to Claire?

Gabby: They said Shawn wouldn't come out of the water. They had to send divers down to pull him out.

Bo: Yeah, he wouldn't leave without her.

Gabby: He had to. The search-and-rescue team is still out there searching for her, though.

Bo: Yeah.

Gabby: That's them.

Bo: I'm gonna go meet them.

Gabby: Bo, maybe you should wait, huh?

Bo: The second team must be in there. They had to have found her by now.

Gabby: I'm sure they have. Maybe we're gonna get some good news on Claire real soon, okay?

Kayla: I don't think you're gonna like me much the next couple days.

Steve: Why is that?

Kayla: Because of what I need to do.

Steve: Yeah, the needle action kind of gave me a heads-up. So, now what?

Kayla: Now I try to get inside your mind.

Steve: [Chuckles] It's a scary place.

Kayla: Not for me. I know I keep saying this, but these photos, you know, they're, um...they're full of memories and feelings. I just want you to look at them and remember these people from your heart...not just your head. Steven Earl Johnson... son of Jo and Duke Johnson. Your brother, Jack, and sister, Adrienne. Our daughter, Stephanie. What is it, baby? Tell me what you're feeling. What is it?

Chelsea: I should have "idiot" tattooed on my forehead.

Hope: You don't know anything yet.

Chelsea: I was in his room. He couldn't wait to get rid of me because of her.

Hope: Don't jump to any conclusions. Talk to Nick first.

Chelsea: I don't want to talk to him again.

Hope: There could be a very good explanation.

Chelsea: Let me ask you a question. What would you do if you found somebody else's panties under your bed?

Hope: Kill him.

Chelsea: That's great advice.

Hope: Don't. Just get all the facts.

Chelsea: You know, I don't even know who I hate more -- him or her.

Hope: Him.

Chelsea: Him.

Bo: We're gonna need extra blankets.

Gabby: I'll put on more coffee.

Bo: Yeah, alert the doctor just in case. Over here on this couch. You can...sit her down right here, okay?

Paramedics: I need vitals on all of you.

Shawn D.: I'm fine.

Bo: Shawn, let him check you out. Belle.

Shawn D.: I lost her, Dad. I lost our daughter.

Nick: This should be enough to get you started.

Willow: Security and first month's rent?

Nick: There's got to be a way you can earn an honest buck.

Willow: I have tried.

Nick: Aren't there programs out there for people like you?

Willow: Excuse me? People like me?

Nick: You know what I mean. You know, you're pregnant. You don't have money. You don't have a job.

Willow: What you actually mean is blackmail. Let's be honest, Nick.

Nick: I am being honest.

Willow: I thought the brush thing was taboo. You'll sign the lease, okay?

[Knock on door]

Chelsea: Nick, are you in there?

Nick: I can't believe this is happening.

Willow: Oh, party time.

Nick: You have to get out of here, Willow. Willow, you have to get out of here right now.

Willow: No way. I'm not missing the fun. [Knocking continues]

Caroline: [Sighs] Sweetheart? What is it?

Hope: That was Bo.

Caroline: Yeah?

Hope: They found the boat.

Caroline: And the kids?

Hope: Shawn, Belle, and Philip are okay.

Caroline: [Sighs]

Hope: They haven't found Claire yet.

Caroline: Oh, no. Oh.

Hope: Somehow she got separated from them.

Caroline: Little Claire.

Hope: Bo said they're still searching the ocean.

Caroline: They'll find her. And we have to believe that they'll find her.

Bo: Here you go, Belle. It will warm you.

Gabby: You too.

Shawn D.: I don't want any damn coffee.

Bo: Hey, hey, hey. Where are you going?

Shawn D.: I'm going back to the chopper.

Bo: No, they took off. They're out looking for Claire.

Shawn D.: Dad, I need to be out there helping them.

Bo: You're too weak.

Shawn D.: That's my daughter out there, okay? She needs me.

Bo: They're out there. They'll find her. That's what they do.

Shawn D.: We put a vest on her with a tracker. We made sure it was tight. We checked and we double-checked it. There's got to be a signal.

Bo: The rescue workers -- they'll see that signal.

Shawn D.: Why haven't they found her yet? Huh?

Bo: Tell me what happened. What do you remember?

Philip: It was not Shawn's fault. I was the last one to hold Claire. I'm the one that lost her.

Shawn D.: What happened?

Philip: She was being pulled from the boat. I grabbed her and held her as tight as I could to my chest. So tight I was afraid I'd hurt her. The surge pulled us out into the ocean. I made sure she didn't take on any water. We got dragged down I don't know how far. I kept telling her not to be afraid. And that I'd never let her go, not ever. And that I love her. And then a wave hit us and pulled me under. She was ripped from me. I dove down. I couldn't find her. I couldn't find her. Shawn, I swear to you, I never let her go. I swear to you.

Kayla: Okay, come on. Repeat it again.

Steve: Again?

Kayla: Again and again and again.

Steve: I'm sick of reciting the same damn things over and over again like a little school kid. I know the players.

Kayla: Well, on some level, but...

Steve: But not the one that counts, right? What do you want me to do, recite poems to all of them?

Kayla: It wouldn't hurt.

Steve: Stephanie Johnson -- she's my baby. Can't decide if she loves or hates me. Can't really blame her.

Kayla: Do you love her?

Steve: She's my kid.

Kayla: Do you love her?

Steve: Back off, Kayla.

Kayla: No, don't give up, damn it. Come on.

Steve: We're done here.

Kayla: Fine. Fine. You don't want to face your family and friends, fine. How about this picture? What about this picture? How does that make you feel?

Steve: I didn't see that coming.

Kayla: And?

Steve: And nothing.

Kayla: Well, should I put him on the wall right here with your family? Should I do that? Should I put it up here?

Steve: Let me help you. Let me help you with that, huh? How's this, huh? There.

Kayla: Is that supposed to hurt my feelings? ...Just ripping up that stuff, throwing it on the floor -- it's just paper.

Steve: Just leave me the hell alone, Kayla, please.

Kayla: Just get back in bed.

Steve: Don't give me orders!

Kayla: E.J.?

Steve: You can't fix me.

Kayla: But failure is not an option. Don't you understand that? Please just get back in bed. Don't you understand? Come on. Get back in bed. We are gonna stay here till one of us breaks. And I can promise you, it is not going to be me.

Nick: You have to go now.

Chelsea: Nick.

Willow: Just meet me at the apartment in two hours.

Nick: Okay, fine, whatever.

Chelsea: Nick, are you in there?

Nick: One second, Chelse.

Willow: Two hours. Two hours.

Chelsea: Nick!

Nick: All right! One second, Chelsea. Hey.

Chelsea: Hi, what took you so long?

Nick: Oh, I was just cleaning up. It was kind of a mess in here.

Chelsea: Just cleaning up. Did you remember to get all the extra panties lying around?

Nick: What?

Chelsea: The extra panties. You know, like the ones that your Aunt Maggie found that she thought were mine.

Nick: Chelsea, I can explain.

Chelsea: Save it.

Nick: Maggie told you about the panties?

Chelsea: No, Maggie didn't tell me. She told Hope. And then they kicked around our nonexistent sex life. That was really fun.

Nick: I am so, so sorry.

Chelsea: Yeah, you're sorry that you got caught.

Nick: Chelsea, there's a perfectly logical explanation for this if you'll listen.

Chelsea: I don't want an explanation, Nick. I want a name. Who is she? Better yet, why don't we take those little panties down to the lab and have them tested, see whose DNA is all over your room?

Bo: It's not your fault, Belle. It's nobody's fault.

Belle: It should be me out there, not her.

Bo: No, no. They're not giving up. They're out there looking for her.

Belle: They should have found her by now.

Bo: They will. They will.

Belle: All these months... when she was scared... when we were stranded, when she was burning up with a fever, or even when we were just cuddling upstairs, I would sing to her. It calmed her and made her feel safe. There's no one to sing to her, Bo. She's out there, and she's alone, and there's nobody. The water was so cold. She had a jacket on, but the wind just cut right through you. If I could just sing to her, if she could just hear my voice, she might not be so scared... and feel alone.

Shawn D.: Belle, come on. The rescuer team's radioing in. Come on.

Belle: Did they find her?

Shawn D.: I don't know. Gabby just reached them.

Belle: How is she? How's my baby?

Kayla: How long are you giving me the silent treatment for?

Steve: [Sighs] Maybe you could just leave so I could get some sleep.

Kayla: Sleep all you want. I'll be right here.

Steve: God, you're stubborn, aren't you?

Kayla: You haven't seen anything yet.

Steve: I would have been a damn fool not to fall in love with you.

Kayla: Well, we promised more than just love. We promised courage.

Steve: You held up your end.

Kayla: So did you. Most men would have never survived what you went through.

Steve: I guess a hard head comes in handy, huh?

Kayla: And a soft heart. Why don't you try to get some sleep? And I'll be right here with you when you wake up.

Steve: Okay. Kayla?

Kayla: Hmm? Yeah?

Steve: Are you sure memory lane was real?

Kayla: Positive. I'm positive.

Nick: Chelsea, there is no other girl.

Chelsea: My mom counts, Nick.

Nick: Well, can we not even bring that up? I would never --

Chelsea: But you did.

Nick: Never again.

Chelsea: So, how did panties just mysteriously show up in your room, then, huh?

Nick: I don't know. Maggie does a lot of laundry. Probably one of Abby's fell out.

Chelsea: Abby's been gone for how long?

Nick: Well, who knows how long they've been there?

Chelsea: That's funny. Don't you think that Maggie would recognize something from her own wash?

Nick: Don't they all look the same?

Chelsea: No, Nick, they don't all look the same.

Nick: That's the only explanation that makes sense.

Chelsea: The only explanation that makes sense is that you're sleeping around.

Nick: I am not sleeping around, Chelsea. Tell you what -- I will tell Aunt Maggie -- I will ask her if Abby's underwear fell out.

Chelsea: You will.

Nick: Yes, yes, I will. I swear, I am not cheating on you, Chelsea, on everything I love. The only panties I want under my bed are yours, all right? I love you, only you, and that is the God's honest truth.

Gabby: Copy that. Dragon Watch, repeat the status of Claire Kiriakis. Tinda Lao 4-8...out.

Shawn D.: Gabby, where is she?

Belle: Are they flying her here?

Gabby: No.

Philip: What the hell did they say?

Gabby: They haven't found her.

Philip: What about her vest? It has to be giving off a signal.

Shawn D.: Gabby, have they found anything?

Gabby: It's still not working. Look, they had to pull back. The seas got worse.

Shawn D.: They're giving up?

Gabby: Shawn, I'm sorry. They said that she must have...

Shawn D.: Have what?

Gabby: I'm so sorry, guys. They're changing the mission from a search and rescue to a recovery mission.

Shawn D.: No, no. They don't get to quit. No.

Philip: Bo, you got to call them. You got to get those choppers back in the air.

Bo: I don't have any jurisdiction here.

Belle: Shawn!

Shawn D.: She's not gone, Belle. She's not. No, Dad. She didn't die, okay? She didn't.

Marlena: Belle isn't the only person who's had a visit from John in her dreams. John has come to me also.

Philip: It was my job to keep her safe. And little girl's gone.

Sami: I'm happy with who I am, and I'm happy with you and our kids, and I'm not gonna let anyone take that away from me.

Tony: You bring me Samantha Roberts now.
