Abby: Hey. So, you got my text?

Chelsea: Yeah, what's up?

Abby: Guess who's in town.

Chelsea: Um... my chemical romance.

Abby: You wish. No, actually, Stephanie came back.

Chelsea: Little Miss Hot Wheels. That's why you 911'd me.

Abby: Chelsea, I am telling you, she totally changed. She even has a tattoo.

Chelsea: Did she shave her head, too?

Abby: Funny. So, how are things with you and your mom?

Chelsea: Um, we talk... never about that. And, um, she's still upset that I'm living with my dad and Hope. It's weird.

Abby: You should give her a chance, Chelsea. I mean, look at you and Nick. You worked everything out, right?

Chelsea: Didn't I tell you?

Abby: Tell me what.

Chelsea: I broke up with Nick. It's over between us.

[Cell door opens]

Willow: Thanks again for posting bail, Nick. One more night on that shelf they call a bed would have killed me. You're my hero.

Nick: Trust me, I'm no hero.

Willow: Yeah, well, you'll do until a real one comes around. I mean it, man. I owe you big-time.

Nick: So, what are you gonna do when they cut you loose?

Willow: Same thing I've always done -- whatever it takes to survive.

Abe: Whoa, whoa, ahh! I made it. [Laughs] Hey, you know what? Why don't you go upstairs and brush your teeth, and I'll be up to tuck you in, in just a couple of minutes, all right?

Theo: Okay, Daddy.

Abe: All right, big guy. [Doorbell rings]

Kate: Hello, Abe. It's Kate Roberts.

Abe: And I thought you were a girl scout selling cookies.

Kate: Oh. [Laughs] I thought that you couldn't, you know, see me.

Abe: Oh, I can still see, not as well as I used to, but I knew it was you the minute I opened the door. Your [Sniffs] Your perfume always precedes you.

Kate: Oh, well, thank you so much for noticing.

Abe: So, what do you want?

Kate: I want to apologize.

Abe: About last night?

Kate: And the dinner that you and Celeste were having that I interrupted. It was, um, it was inappropriate, and I made a spectacle of myself.

Abe: [Laughs]

Kate: Why are you laughing?

Abe: Oh, you know, I may be half blind, but I can still see through you, Kate. So let's cut to the chase. What are you really here for?

Lucas: Listen, honey, if there's something going on between you and E.J...I need to know, please. If it's gonna hurt us, just tell me. Don't be afraid of the truth, okay? Don't be afraid of the truth. I'm not.

E.J.: Hi. I hope I'm not interrupting anything. I heard you weren't feeling very well, Samantha.

Lucas: Get out of here right now. Take your flowers and get out.

E.J.: Do you want me to leave, Samantha?

Sami: I feel kind of weak.

Lucas: Yeah, it's not surprising. She said this isn't the first time you tried to visit her.

E.J.: Really? Is that what you said?

Sami: Lucas.

Lucas: Tried to scare her into thinking that you were gonna poison her. Is that it?

E.J.: That's preposterous, Lucas.

Sami: Let's not talk about it, okay, Lucas?

E.J.: Samantha, what on earth have you been saying to him?

Lucas: What did you do to her? What the hell did you do to her? Tell me right now, or so help me God, I'll kill you with my bare hands.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Kate: Well, am I going to have to humble myself here on the front stoop or are you going to invite me in?

Abe: Now's not a good time, Kate.

Kate: It's not going to take very long, Abe.

Abe: I'm putting Theo to bed.

Kate: Please?

Abe: All right, come in.

Kate: Well, I hope Celeste can join us as well.

Abe: Celeste isn't home. She's out for the evening.

Kate: Oh. So, I guess it's just the two of us, then.

Theo: Daddy, I'm ready.

Abe: Just a minute, buddy. Just a minute. Look, this isn't gonna work tonight, Kate.

Kate: On, nonsense. Come on, go ahead. You take care of Theo. I have some phone calls to make anyway, so take your time. I'll be fine.

Abe: How generous of you.

Theo: Daddy, I want my story.

Abe: I'll be right up. Right up. I'll be back.

Kate: Okay. Okay, Celeste, what are you and the little blond tramp up to?

E.J.: Lucas, I came here to offer my support to somebody who I care about, so please don't threaten me.

Lucas: "Someone you care about." What about your wife, man? Shouldn't you care about her? Weren't you getting married in Vegas? What happened with that?

E.J.: Unfortunately, plans changed.

Lucas: Really? So you drove up to the cabin and decided to burn it down. That's a nice touch.

E.J.: Is that what people are saying?

Lucas: Yeah, that's what people are saying, except they're a little disappointed 'cause you didn't burn along with it. I think that's too bad.

E.J.: Okay, well, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, Lucas, but my car was stolen. You can check the files on record at the police station if you don't believe me. And as for this idea that I somehow tried to kill your fiancé, frankly, that's preposterous.

Lucas: Preposterous, really? Sami doesn't seem to think so. She was quite upset earlier.

E.J.: Really?

Lucas: Mm-hmm.

E.J.: I tried to kill you while I was here in this hospital room with doctors and nurses coming and going, hmm? That doesn't sound very likely, does it? That's a very creative story, Samantha. Not a particularly flattering one for me. You're very creative, don't you think? How are you doing? I'm not a doctor, Lucas, but don't you think maybe she hit her head when she fell down and passed out? Possibly she's...over medicated. I don't know. Did you ever consider the fact that...Samantha might just be... making this up as she goes along? Tell me, darling, are you? Are you making this up as you go along?

Sami: I -- I don't know, Lucas, what's going on anymore. I just -- I just feel kind of woozy, you know? Maybe it's the medication.

Lucas: You weren't feeling woozy a few minutes ago. Why don't you be honest with me and tell me what's going on here?

E.J.: Actually, Lucas, I think there's something that Samantha and myself would like to tell you -- a secret that you may be interested in. Well, woozy, would you like to do the honors, or shall I?

Abby: You dumped Nick?

Chelsea: It just wasn't meant to be.

Abby: After everything he's done for you?

Chelsea: God, here we go.

Abby: Seriously, Chelsea, he put his whole future on the line for you just to save your butt.

Chelsea: You mean by stealing the hairbrush. Well, it turns out that Mr. Heroic wasn't as heroic as he pretended to be.

Abby: What do you mean?

Chelsea: After I threw the brush away, not only did Nick fish it out of the trash can, but he kept it.

Abby: Because he was feeling guilty.

Chelsea: No. Because he thinks that I actually did this. He thinks that I actually broke into my dad's house and tried to set it on fire. So, I'm sorry. What am I supposed to do, thank him for that? How would you feel?

Abby: I guess I'd feel really hurt.

Chelsea: Exactly. Especially since I'm not the one who did it. I could bet my whole life that Willow took my brush and used it to cover up what she did, but I can't prove it. And thanks to good old Nick and his guilty conscience, it could all blow up in my face.

Abby: The thing is, Chelsea, whatever happened, I know one thing's true -- Nick loves you.

Chelsea: Maybe he does. Just not enough.

Nick: There must be someone else you can turn to. I mean, I know that they won't take you back at the "Y."

Willow: Don't worry about me. I can be very creative when it comes to finding a bed at night. Anyways, there is always the streets.

Nick: So why did I post your bail? You're better off here. At least you're safe.

Willow: I don't even remember what safe feels like.

Nick: I'm not gonna do this, Willow, if you're just gonna end up crashing in some alley.

Willow: Okay, okay, I will find some cheap room at some boardinghouse by the "U."

Nick: Find a job.

Willow: Yes, and what qualifications should I highlight -- prostitution, arson, attempted murder? Hey, if none of that works out, I can always go back to what I do best, right?

Officer: Time to sign the release forms.

Willow: Thanks for everything, Nick.

Nick: Willow --

Willow: Hey, don't worry about it. It's not your problem. [Cell door closes]

Abe: Kate, can I help you find something?

Kate: Yes, I was looking for a pad of paper to leave a note on.

Abe: You mean like this one?

Kate: Oh, God. Right in front of my face.

Abe: And to think, it took a blind man to find it.

Kate: Yeah.

Abe: So, you still haven't answered my question -- what are you really here for?

Kate: To apologize, Abe.

Abe: And I've accepted.

Kate: I know. And it was so kind of you. I mean, it really was, but the thing is, I want you and Celeste to understand the reason that I was so out of sorts.

Abe: There's no need.

Kate: You know, it's this whole wedding fiasco. It just has me crazy. I mean, Sami has been so impossible, and Lucas is so gullible, but, of course, none of that had to do with you --

Abe: Kate, that's enough, okay?

Kate: My point is you have been on the receiving end of my unpleasantness, and for that, I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry.

Abe: Again, I appreciate your apology. I'm sure she would, too. And I will tell her that you stopped by, all right?

Kate: Oh, God.

Abe: Are you all right?

Kate: I don't know. Oh.

Abe: Oh, Kate.

E.J.: So, Samantha, would you like to tell Lucas, or would you prefer if I give him the details?

Lucas: I don't want to hear it. Sami, tell me what is going on right now.

E.J.: No? Okay, I'll tell him. Well, it must have all started a few months ago when our platonic friendship blossomed into a fully realized passion. Isn't that a good way of putting it?

Sami: I don't know what he is talking about.

E.J.: Anyway, the two of us were sunning ourselves on the beach in Saint-Tropez, having just got back from plundering the casinos in Monte Carlo. You remember, darling, we were drinking a Bordeaux, feeding each other grapes. It was very fun. Wasn't it Somerset Maugham who said, "the French Riviera is a very sunny place populated by very shady people"?

Lucas: Funny. Funny guy. Is this a joke to you?

E.J.: What I'm trying to do, Lucas, is inject a little bit of humor into this mad theory of yours. So I come in here, a virtual ambassador of goodwill, and yet you accuse me of trying to hurt somebody who I care about a great deal. Now, I think that's funny, don't you?

Lucas: You want to know something funny? You're gonna get a hell of a laugh out of this. I'm the one who's gonna commit murder. You hear me? And no one would care. No one would give a damn if I took you out.

Sami: Lucas, please don't. Lucas, don't. Just stop it, both of you.

Lucas: Calm down, all right?

Sami: No, just stop it! Just stop it, both of you!

Lucas: See what you're doing here? Get out right now! It's because of you she's acting like this.

E.J.: Fine. Your happiness means a great deal to me. I'm sorry if I upset you. That does include your wedding, Samantha. It should be unforgettable.

Abby: Did you ever stop and think that maybe it's your fault and not Nick's?

Chelsea: I'm sorry. My fault?

Abby: Well, you always gripe about how nobody cares about you.

Chelsea: That's not true.

Abby: Chelsea, think of everyone who's loved you -- your mom, your dad, Hope, Nick, me.

Chelsea: You're right, Abby. "Loved," as in past tense, all right?

Abby: Because you ask so much of them. And if one person makes one little mistake, you cross them off your list.

Chelsea: Okay, you mean the mistake that Nick and my mom made by sleeping together? Or the mistake you made by knowing about it and never telling me?

Abby: Because we were afraid of hurting you.

Chelsea: You know, Abby, you have this really weird way of turning things around. You're upset with me because I broke up with Nick.

Abby: You know, I'm beginning to think that it was the best thing you ever did...for Nick.

Chelsea: Please.

Abby: Seriously, Chelsea. I mean, he did everything you asked him to do, including breaking the law for you.

Chelsea: I would have done the same thing for him.

Abby: So now you blow him off because he's feeling guilty?

Chelsea: No, because he doesn't believe me. He thinks I'm lying about this.

Abby: Like that's never happened before. Chelsea, when are you gonna understand that Nick is the best thing that's ever happened to you?

Chelsea: Well, look around me, Abby. I, um, I seem to be doing fine without him.

Abby: You needed Nick. And you still do.

Chelsea: I don't.

Abby: Really? Well, there goes your get-out-of-jail card. Sooner or later, Nick's guilt's gonna catch up to him, and now that he has no reason to protect you...

Chelsea: Then what?

Abby: Nick is gonna turn that hairbrush in. He's gonna tell the police the whole story, and your sorry butt's gonna go to jail.

Abe: Are you sure you don't want me to call your doctor?

Kate: No. I'm -- you know, I think I'm fine. Actually, I'm just a little embarrassed.

Abe: Well, why don't I call you a cab?

Kate: No, that's all right. That's all right. I could use some -- I could use a cup of tea.

Abe: Tea? You want me to make you tea?

Kate: Or whatever. I'm not picky.

Abe: And I'm not a damn fool.

Kate: Abe?

Abe: Allegedly you came here to apologize.

Kate: Now you're sounding like a cop.

Abe: And you did, and after that, I catch you rummaging through my desk.

Kate: I wasn't rummaging. I was looking for a notepad.

Abe: Which was right in front of you. And then, out of the blue, you faint. It makes a guy kind of wonder.

Kate: Abe, do you think I'm coming on to you?

Abe: Well, that was the last thing I was thinking.

Kate: [Sighs] Okay, look, I-I -- sorry. I'm sorry. I mean, frankly, I'm under a lot of stress. I'm under a lot of stress with this whole Sami/Lucas wedding, and businesswise – businesswise, things just aren't going well. They really aren't, and I don't have a lot of friends to talk to, Abe.

Abe: Well, I think you should see Marlena about this.

Kate: Marlena has so many problems right now with John. I wouldn't want to go to her with this.

Abe: No, I mean talk to her as a patient.

Kate: I don't need that kind of help, Abe, all right? I'm just feeling -- I'm feeling alone. You and I go back a long time.

Abe: Earl Grey or Chamomile?

Kate: Oh, either. You're a good man. God, I never thought he'd leave. Oh, well, well, well. What do we have here? Gotcha, Sami.

Lucas: Don't bother coming to the wedding, either. I've hired security.

E.J.: Security? Doesn't sound very...Lucas.

Sami: Lucas, what are you doing?

Lucas: As much as I'd like to wipe that smug smile off his face, I'm gonna call the guard, have him escorted out of here, son of a bitch.

E.J.: [Laughs] Security in the hospital, security at the wedding -- one could almost think you were insecure, Lucas.

Sami: Don't. Don't, Lucas. You say that you came here out of concern for me, but that's sort of hard to believe when all you're doing is making me uncomfortable.

Lucas: See that? You're making her uncomfortable. Now get out of here right now before I make you get out.

E.J.: I'm already on my way.

Sami: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I know you're still upset. I, um, I just would like to be by myself. You know, maybe I could just calm down and rest for a little bit. Is that okay?

Lucas: That's a good idea. Get your rest. Don't get yourself worked up anymore, all right? I love you.

Sami: I love you.

Lucas: I'll go get a cup of coffee or something. I'll be right back.

Sami: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What am I gonna do? [Machine beeping rapidly]

[Gasps] Oh. Ow. Ooh. Ow, my God, no.

[Machine beeping rapidly]

Sami: Where's the nurse -- the call button? Ow!

E.J.: I didn't want you to think I was forgetting -- Samantha, what's wrong?

Sami: I can't breathe.

E.J.: Okay, okay, okay.

Sami: I think it's my --

E.J.: Okay, did you call the nurse?

Sami: I can't find the stupid call button 'cause you ripped it out of the wall. Ow!

E.J.: Okay, shh, Samantha, hey, look at me. Look at me. I want you to breathe with me, okay? Relax, don't talk. Breathe. Deep breaths, come on. It's okay, it's okay. You're good. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.

Sami: Oh, God, I was so scared. I thought I couldn't breathe. Wait, wait, what are you doing? Get off.

E.J.: Samantha, I really thought...

Sami: You thought that your tricks had finally paid off and that you were gonna be able to make me lose the baby. Oh, God. I can't take it. E.J., I can't take this anymore. Listen to me -- the stupid phone calls and the gasoline cans and the making me think that you're gonna poison me. Look, if you're gonna kill me, then just do it. Get it over with.

Kate: Well, you're not going to be able to talk your way out of this one. December 29, '06 -- the same night John was shot, same night Sami rescued Lucas. Yeah, right. Naughty, naughty children. [Cups clatter]

Abe: Okay. Here's your tea, Kate. And be careful -- this is hot. Kate, is something wrong?

Kate: Uh, yes. Actually, there is. I just got a call from my assistant, and there is a near emergency at the office. A client's waiting there, so it looks like I'm gonna have to go. I'm gonna have to take a rain check on the tea.

Abe: That's a quick recovery.

Kate: Yes, well, actually, I think this little talk right here just helped me, really, and your kindness, so thanks. I'll talk to you later.

Abe: Not so fast, lady.

Chelsea: So, that's what you think. They're gonna throw me in jail.

Abby: No, I'm just being brutally honest.

Chelsea: Yeah, I'll say.

Abby: All right, let's stop, Chelsea. You know I'm your friend.

Chelsea: I haven't exactly told you...

Abby: Told me what?

Chelsea: ...The truth. The thing with me and Nick is that I didn't want him to feel obligated to help me. So I told him that I didn't care and he could do whatever he wanted to with the brush. It was kind of like that saying -- you love somebody enough, you let him go. And I never should have put Nick in such a horrible position, but I was desperate. And, yeah, I'm sure that I probably did use him a little, but that was never my intention. So there you have it.

Abby: Feels good, doesn't it?

Chelsea: And humiliating at the same time. If I could go back and do it all over again, I never would have asked Nick to steal that brush. I just -- I did what I felt I had to at the time. I took the easy way out.

Abby: I'm glad you told me this, Chelsea. I know it wasn't easy.

Chelsea: And, um...just for the record -- I do know that Nick was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Abby: Well, then, why don't you go and tell Nick everything you just told me?

Kate: [Sighs] Look, Abe, I'd love to stay for tea, but, really, I have an appointment.

Abe: I don't believe that for a minute.

Kate: Okay, you're a cop. I know you are suspicious by nature, and if you want to frisk me down, looking for Celeste's crystal ball, go ahead.

Abe: I wouldn't want to keep you.

Kate: Thank you. I appreciate that.

Abe: If you want to leave that note with me, I'll make sure Celeste gets it.

Kate: The note...yes.

Abe: Let me guess -- you never wrote it.

Kate: I'll talk to you soon.

Celeste: Kate, what are you doing here?

Abe: Well, perfect timing. Now you can explain to Celeste what you were doing snooping around in her things.

E.J.: If I wanted you dead, don't you think I could have made that happen?

Sami: Then what is it, some sort of cat-and-mouse game for you? When you're tired of the game, you'll kill me?

E.J.: I was actually convinced that you wanted me in your life, but you never wanted me in your life at all, did you?

Sami: Answer the question, E.J. What do you want from me?

E.J.: You lied to me, Samantha. What would you do if somebody just toyed with your affections then just flicked you away?

Sami: Wait a second. I thought you were my friend. And you were the one who lied to me, and then you raped me. What did you expect? Do you expect me now to think you're the victim and feel sorry for you?

E.J.: I clearly expected more of you.

Sami: You treated me like a piece of trash, E.J., like an incubator for your disgusting DiMera seed. Do you really think I would want to have a future with a monster like you?

E.J.: I'm not a monster. A monster would never have spared your life.

Sami: Spared my life? You're destroying it a piece at a time.

E.J.: Do you really think that I care?

Sami: Yeah, you know what? I do. I saw the look in your eye when you came in and you saw me in pain. You were afraid, weren't you, when you realized that I could actually lose this baby?

E.J.: You're projecting. All I saw was a frightened little girl curled up with a bellyache.

Sami: You're lying.

E.J.: Samantha, please, darling, don't tempt me to show you how little I care for your, uh, condition.

Sami: I think we should just get one thing straight. It is time for us to move on and put this behind us.

E.J.: Your wedding's around the corner, darling. So I'm afraid we're just getting started.

[Door opens]

Lucas: I saw you. I saw you double back like that, circle around. Get out of here right now.

I'm gonna have to ask you to leave, sir.

E.J.: Sorry, gentlemen. There's no need to get upset. I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome. Samantha, if you don't receive my wedding gift to you before the big day, just know that you can expect it on the wedding day. Bye, Lucas.

Lucas: I'm sorry that I had to leave you, okay? Are you all right?

Sami: Yeah, just hold me. [Sighs]

Lucas: Look, honey, I know you love me.

Sami: I do.

Lucas: I'm not questioning that, and you know I love you, but you got to tell me what's going on between you and E.J. Tell me what he knows about you. Tell me what he has on you. Tell me something.

Sami: [Sobbing]

Lucas: Don't let him torture you like this, please.

Kate: Why would I be rummaging through Celeste's things, Abe?

Abe: Well, you tell us, Kate.

Celeste: Abraham, what's going on?

Abe: Well, I was putting Theo to bed when our friend here decided to drop in for a visit.

Celeste: At this hour, Kate?

Abe: That's what I said. So I went upstairs to tuck Theo in, and when I came back down, Kate was rummaging through the desk drawers.

Kate: I was looking for a pad so I could write a note to you.

Celeste: A note? What for?

Kate: To apologize for the other night at chez rouge.

Celeste: Ah, yes, when you accused me of conspiring with Samantha.

Kate: Yes, yes. I was completely out of line, and I'm sorry.

Celeste: Don't be, Kate, since I can't imagine you came here to apologize. So, did you find what you were looking for, darling?

Kate: I don't have time for this.

Celeste: Uh, hand it over, Kate. Or I'll search you myself.

Abby: Chelsea, Nick's a very forgiving guy. So, you know, if you tell him the truth, he'll understand. Maybe you guys can work everything out.

Stephanie: Hey, college girl.

Chelsea: Stephanie, wow. Um, gosh, you do look different.

Stephanie: Yeah, and I can tell you don't like it.

Chelsea: No, actually, I-I-I actually really love it. I might have to borrow that jacket sometime.

Abby: Who knew Dayton, Ohio, could be so hip?

Chelsea: You know what we should do. We should hit Salem place. They actually just opened this really cute little store there. They got a bunch of cute stuff. I got a dress there last week. It was dirt cheap.

Stephanie: Wait a sec. Who are you and what have you done with Chelsea Brady?

Chelsea: What?

Abby: Chelsea's grown up a lot since you left.

Chelsea: A little, maybe.

Stephanie: Well, I hope you're not too mature, because I could sure go for some fun tonight. I don't know how you guys do it.

Abby: What?

Stephanie: This town -- it's, like, dead. Nothing ever happens in Salem. I mean, to people our age.

Willow: They said you were still here.

Nick: Yeah. I just, um...I wanted to talk to you before you leave.

Willow: Let me guess -- about the whole job thing. Nick, I was just kidding.

Nick: Good. know, you have a baby on the way.

Willow: Yeah, and I thought, "there's probably not a lot of johns out there who got a thing for pregnant girls," right? Wow, I am just kidding. I gave up that life.

Nick: I want to help you. I don't know why.

Willow: Okay, I know that this is gonna sound totally ungrateful, especially after you posted bail and everything.

Nick: No, no, no, no. What is it?

Willow: Well, a couple of weeks ago, you said you were going to talk to your Uncle Mickey about getting me into subsidized housing.

Nick: Oh.

Willow: Hey, it's okay. I'm used to it. Promises are like dreams -- they never come true.

Nick: I did talk to Uncle Mickey about the housing. And, don't qualify.

Willow: Oh.

Nick: Yeah, I know. It's -- it's really stupid. The system is totally screwed up.

Willow: No, it's okay. It's not your fault, right?

Nick: Hey, I'm your friend. When you feel bad about something, I feel bad about something because that is what real friends do.

Willow: Chelsea was a fool to dump you.

Nick: What makes you think that I didn't dump her?

Willow: Come on, Nick. You'd rather swan dive off of the sears tower.

Nick: Look, um, I'm gonna leave some cash and my number with the guys in the front. Find yourself somewhere to sleep tonight.

Willow: Thanks, Nick, for everything. I will pay you back for everything.

Nick: Take care of yourself. Okay? And, um, one more thing. Sometimes dreams do come true. They don't always last, but, um, they can come true. [Door closes]

Chelsea: So, after I made a complete fool of myself in front of that doctor, um, I went out with him.

Abby: To make Nick jealous.

Stephanie: Well, was he cute? Like Patrick Dempsey cute?

Chelsea: No. No, no. He was definitely not. Um, anyway, so, he and I were in his car, and, um, he sort of kind of crossed the line.

Stephanie: No way.

Chelsea: Thank God for Nick, though. I mean, he totally saved my life.

Stephanie: Way to go, Nick. So, then, you guys are back together?

Chelsea: No, actually. We're not. Maybe if he hadn't slept with my mom...

Stephanie: Nick slept with your mom?

Abby: Yeah, I guess I forgot to tell you that.

Chelsea: Okay, enough about that. Um, let's talk about something else.

Stephanie: I guess Salem's not so dead after all.

Abby: We've all got our little dramas. I have the controlling aunt who treats me like I'm 6.

Stephanie: Yeah, I've got that thing with my dad.

Abby: It's really bad, huh?

Stephanie: You know what? Let's go have fun.

Abby: Ooh, I have an 8:00 class tomorrow.

Chelsea: Yeah, me, too.

Stephanie: Perfect. I'll have you home by 7:00. 7:30 at the latest.

Abby: Okay, wait. We're gonna stay out all night?

Stephanie: Duh. Come on, we have plenty of time to sleep when we're dead.

Chelsea: Yeah, or when we're in calculus tomorrow. Come on, what do you say?

Abby: What are we waiting for?

Kate: Are you just gonna stand there and let her treat me like a common criminal?

Abe: You're the one that said frisk you if we want.

Celeste: Just open your purse, Kate.

Kate: I will not. What is this, Salem International Security check? I hope you don't treat all your guests like this.

Celeste: Quit stalling. You're not leaving here until you empty your purse.

Kate: You have no right to ask me to do anything like that. And you know that very well, Abe.

Abe: Let her go.

Celeste: But, Abraham --

Abe: Just let her go.

Kate: Oh, good. Finally someone is being rational.

Abe: If you find anything missing, we have the right to bring her in.

Celeste: No, what's done is done, you know? Um, perhaps you should check on Theodore and make sure we didn't wake him.

Abe: That's a good idea. Don't forget to turn off the lights before you come up.

Celeste: Good night.

Abe: Good night.

Celeste: How dare you show up here, Kate.

Kate: Well, actually, I think it was quite lovely. You know, except for Abe. I do feel sorry for him because he has no idea, does he, that you and Sami are in this together? G-- give--

Celeste: Oh, dear God.

Kate: That's right. I discovered Sami's dirty little secret, darling. Not that I didn't suspect it the whole time, and believe me, I won't hesitate to use it. See you at the wedding, I hope.

Lucas: Sami...whatever it is, we'll get through it, all right? We'll get through this together. You know that. So if something happened between you and E.J., you need to tell me.

Sami: No, nothing. Nothing has happened.

Lucas: Look, I keep telling myself not to make a big deal about this, all right, because I trust you.

Sami: And now you don't.

Lucas: No, I do trust you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. There's nothing you could say or do to change that. But if there's something that you got to tell me, now is the time.

Celeste: Lucas is madly in love with you, yes? If you just tell him the truth, Samantha, explain that Elvis forced you to give your body... in exchange for Lucas' life. Darling, you did a selfless thing. He should be grateful for what you did.

Sami: How does telling Lucas the truth change anything? E.J. will still harass me until he gets what he wants.

Sami: There is nothing to tell you, except that I love you. Lucas, I love you so much. I do. And I want you to remember that. Please promise me you'll remember... no matter what happens, okay?

Shawn D.: We just need to stick together as a family and nothing can tear us apart, not even E.J. Wells.

Philip: Why are you trying so hard to keep me down here? You buying time while Shawn's upstairs ransacking my room?

Lucas: Why are you in a constant state of high anxiety?

Sami: Like what?

Lucas: My mom, for starters.

Kate: I'm going to blast that bitch out of my son's life forever.

E.J.: I can't let you spoil my plans.
