Belle: I didn't ask for separate beds out of spite. In fact, I didn't even ask. Gabby offered.

Shawn D.: Why did she offer?

Belle: Because I told her that you and I were still figuring some things out.

Shawn D.: You promised that you were gonna keep our private lives private.

Belle: Shh! You're gonna wake her up. I know I promised, but Gabby noticed that I wasn't wearing a wedding ring, and then she asked if we were gonna set a date. What was I supposed to say?

Shawn D.: Nothing. It's none of her business.

Belle: Shawn --

Shawn D.: But instead you tell a total stranger you don't want to sleep with me. Thanks. Thank you very much.

Dr. Kraft: Mr. Johnson, you don't want us to have to put those restraints back on, do you? You promised you'd cooperate.

Steve: I'm cooperating as much as I can. I just --

Dr. Kraft: That means taking your meds.

Steve: Yeah, it means turning me into some kind of walleyed zombie. That's what it means.

Dr. Kraft: Your wife is waiting to see you. Should I tell her to leave?

Steve: You happy now?

Dr. Kraft: Very. And if you keep cooperating, perhaps you can join the other patients in the common room very soon.

Steve: Oh, whoopee. Where's Kayla?

Kayla: Hello, Steve.

Steve: Hi.

Dr. Kraft: I'll leave you two alone. Let me know if you need anything.

Kayla: Thank you, Dr. Kraft.

Steve: [Clears throat]

Kayla: So...

Steve: I know I owe you an apology, baby, for what I did. I did it because I was trying to put some distance between me and everybody else. I didn't want to hurt anybody, and I didn't want to come back to this place. Now I'm back here. God, Kayla, you got to promise me something.

Kayla: What's that?

Steve: Promise me you won't tell Stephanie I turned out like this.

Sami: Hey, what are you doing?

Lucas: Hey. I'm having trouble with some work here.

Sami: Well, that doesn't sound like much fun.

Lucas: No, it's no fun at all. Is Will asleep?

Sami: Yeah. And Chelsea.

Lucas: The kids are in bed.

Sami: [Chuckles]

Lucas: The parents can play a little. Give daddy some sugar. [Exhales deeply]

Sami: What's wrong, honey?

Lucas: Nothing. I'm just happy. I'm really happy. I don't think I've ever been this happy. I don't think I've ever loved you this much my whole entire life.

Sami: And I feel the exact same way.

Lucas: That little bambino growing inside you like that.

Sami: Stop it. You're gonna make me cry.

Lucas: Don't do that. Let's stop talking. Let's make out.

Sami: [Giggles] You know what, though? Maybe we should take this into the bedroom, you know, before they walk out -- prying eyes and all of that.

Lucas: Don't want to wake up the natives.

Sami: All right.

Lucas: Put this stuff together.

Sami: Briefcase.

Lucas: What's this?

Sami: What?

Lucas: It looks like one of those hospital reports you get back from the lab, except it's blank. This is yours, isn't it?

Nick: Okay. All right. You win. Sort of.

Sami: What do you mean, "sort of"?

Nick: What I mean is I will get a blank report from the lab, and you can do whatever you want with it.

Lucas: to me.

Sami: I don't know how this got there.

Lucas: Well, what is it? What's wrong? Oh, my God. Please don't tell me. Don't tell me this is what I think it is.

Willow: Hey. Hey.

Nick: Yeah?

Willow: You said you were going to talk to your Uncle Mickey about getting me into subsidized housing.

Nick: Willow, that was a couple of hours ago. You got to be patient.

Willow: I'm gonna get evicted, and if Chelsea told you to back off and that's why you're not following through, tell me, 'cause I'll take care of it myself.

Nick: Whoa, whoa. Where are you getting this?

E.J.: Is there some kind of problem here?

Willow: No. No problem. Call me.

Nick: Okay.

Willow: See ya. Bye.

E.J.: Bye, Willow.

Nick: [Chuckles nervously] Well, Mr...

E.J.: Wells.

Nick: Right. I recognize you.

E.J.: It's Nick Fallon, right?

Nick: That's right.

E.J.: I'm glad I bumped into you. I had a question. It's about a friend of mine -- Samantha Brady. Do you know Samantha?

Nick: Yeah.

E.J.: Oh, good. You probably know she's expecting a baby. At any rate, she recently had an amniocentesis at the University Hospital. I was wondering whether it was your lab that was processing the results.

Nick: You know, I'd love to help you, Mr. Wells, but I'm sorry. I can't do that.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Belle: Look, I told you that I thought you would be more comfortable not having to sleep in a chair. That's it. It's not like I told Gabby our whole life story.

Shawn D.: Well, you might as well have.

Belle: Why do you care what Gabby thinks, anyway? We're on an island in the middle of nowhere, and you're worried about your image?

Shawn D.: What I'm worried about is that you and Claire -- you're all I've got. We agreed that we were gonna pretend to be a couple so that nobody would get suspicious. It's got nothing to do with my image. It's got to do with the fact that we need to be safe.

Belle: Right. Okay. And I don't care about that because I'm secretly planning to get caught so that Philip can take my daughter away.

Shawn D.: I never said that.

Belle: Well, it certainly feels like it. You know, you've really been in my face lately about "I'm not doing this, and I'm not doing that," and I am sick of it.

Shawn D.: I'm sick of always being shoved out the door. Do you hate being with me that much?

Belle: Of course I don't hate being with you. But I hate fighting with you.

Shawn D.: So do I. But it seems like you just enjoy rubbing my nose in it.

Belle: What are you talking about?

Shawn D.: It's one thing for you to reject me, okay? Fine. Whatever. But we might be here for a long time, and I don't need the whole damn island wondering what's wrong with me -- why I can't seem to satisfy my --

Belle: What? Your woman? Are you afraid you're falling behind on the scoreboard? Is that it?

Shawn D.: No, what that is, is a cheap shot.

Belle: I'm sorry. Shawn, you and I -- we were married to other people a year ago. You and I haven't even been a couple since high school. I care about you so much, but I'm not ready to jump into another relationship yet.

Shawn D.: Whether you like it or not, this is a relationship.

Belle: Because we have a child together. But that doesn't mean that I'm ready.

Shawn D.: To make love?

Belle: Well, yes. That's the point. If I'm not ready, it isn't making love. I would just be another Willow to you, so maybe what you really need is someone who's quick and easy.

Sami: What are you talking about? What do you think this is about?

Lucas: I don't know. Is everything okay? I mean, is everything okay with the baby?

Sami: Yes. Yes. Is that what you thought? No, everything's fine. The baby is fine.

Lucas: Thank God. What's this all about?

Sami: I-I don't know, actually. I think maybe I just grabbed it by mistake when I was dealing with all the insurance forms at my doctor's.

Lucas: Okay. Good. Sorry for freaking out like that. I just don't know what I'd do if anything happened to our baby.

Sami: Give me a hug.

Maggie: Oh, I don't believe it. I haven't seen you forever.

Celeste: It is so good to see you.

Maggie: You're not dining alone -- tell me you're not.

Celeste: No, no. Abraham -- he's joining me. He just called to say he was running a little late.

Maggie: Well, if you'd like to wait at the bar, you may.

Celeste: I think I will. It's so good to see you.

Maggie: Take care. Oh, my.

E.J.: Look, I'm not asking you to betray a confidence. Samantha has already told me that she's had the test. What I'm asking --

Nick: I heard you the first time. You're asking me whether the lab that I work at is processing the results. I told you I couldn't do it.

E.J.: I know that it's an unusual request, but Samantha's having a baby shower this afternoon, and I was hoping to get her a rather extravagant gift.

Nick: Oh, that is so cute.

E.J.: And you know how women get superstitious about this kind of thing?

Nick: Here's an idea. Why don't you wait until the baby's born to buy an extravagant baby gift?

E.J.: I'm detecting a certain amount of hostility. I think maybe you and I got off to the wrong start.

Nick: Look, Mr. Wells, I don't know you, and, from what I hear, I probably shouldn't.

E.J.: What is it that you hear?

Nick: It's -- it's not even the point. The point is you come in here, you interject yourself into a private conversation, you start asking me a bunch of questions about something that's clearly none of your business. "No" means "no," Mr. Wells, so if you'll excuse me.

E.J.: Mr. Fallon, before you and your admirable conscience walk out the door, stay a moment. Have a drink with me. Trust me. I'll make it worth your while.

Kayla: You know, we've talked about this. Stephanie waited her whole life to find her father. She loves you. She deserves to know what's going on with you.

Steve: See, now, Kayla, I thought we nixed that idea.

Kayla: She would want to be here with you.

Steve: I don't want her here. What good would that do?

Kayla: You know what? You don't give our daughter enough credit. She doesn't need to be protected like this.

Steve: She doesn't need to know that I'm in this place because I tried to strangle her mother. Now, I can take a lot, Kayla. You know that. But I can't take having my baby girl see me like this. Don't you get that?

Kayla: I do, but --

Steve: Come on. I'm not asking you to lie. I'm just asking you to give her a little more time with the memory of who I was -- you know, just the good memories. Can you do that for both of us?

Nick: So, what do you want?

E.J.: I'm simply asking you to keep your eyes and ears open.

Nick: Are you asking me to spy for you?

E.J.: Spy? Samantha's my friend.

Nick: Oh. Well, then why don't you ask her where she's getting her lab work done?

E.J.: You're a smart, young lad, eh? Maybe a smart, young lad who would look very good driving around town in a new sports car.

Nick: Oh, my God. Are you serious? Could you throw in a penthouse with a circular bed and some mirrors on the ceiling? 'Cause if you did, you'd have yourself a deal.

E.J.: How about I make a donation to your favorite charity?

Nick: In case you didn't get the hint, I'm not for sale.

E.J.: Well, in case you change your mind...

Nick: I won't.

E.J.: You never know. Lovely to formally meet you, Mr. Fallon. You look after yourself. I have a funny feeling this isn't gonna be the last time you and I meet.

Lucas: Ooh.

Sami: You know, Lucas...

Lucas: Uh-huh.

Sami: ...I think maybe we should, um, take this into the bedroom, don't you?

Lucas: The bedroom is a great idea. Come on, baby.

Sami: But maybe first I'll just lock up.

Lucas: You lock up, and I'll get rid of the trash real quick.

Sami: Uh, no. I'll -- I'll take out the trash, too.

Lucas: You hate taking out the trash. Since when are you gonna do that?

Sami: Hey, when you're pregnant, everything's up for grabs.

Lucas: Including taking out the trash?

Sami: Well, maybe it's part of the nesting phase.

Lucas: All right. Nest away. I'm not gonna argue.

Sami: You know what else I don't think you're gonna argue about?

Lucas: What's that?

Sami: The whole craving-sex part of being pregnant.

Lucas: No arguments here. Sex -- I like.

Sami: That's what I thought.

Lucas: Let's go to bed.

Sami: All right.

Lucas: Hurry up. Take out my trash.

Sami: [Chuckles]

Lucas: Oh, wait. Actually, um -- I hate to spoil the mood, but, uh, I was thinking about E.J. and work, and there's really something I got to ask you.

Sami: You don't want to spoil the mood, but you're bringing up E.J.?

Shawn D.: You're on a roll tonight. You've been saving all this up for me?

Belle: [Sighs] I know that you've made a lot of sacrifices to be here with us, so please don't think that I am taking anything that you've done for granted.

Shawn D.: But?

Belle: But I thought that it was because you wanted to protect us, not because you were expecting something in return.

Shawn D.: I want to take you in my arms and show you how I feel because I love you, and you don't get that. You used to feel the same way.

Belle: I still do.

Shawn D.: Then why?

Belle: I just remember when we gave each other those purity rings, you know? We promised that we were gonna wait until we got married and that we were never gonna be with anybody else. Remember?

Shawn D.: I wish it would have been that way.

Belle: So do I. When you left... you really broke my heart. And when I turned to Philip, the things that you called me -- you know, "slut," "a whore." I know that you weren't in your right mind, but it still hurt, especially when you were sleeping with Jan... and then Mimi and then Willow.

Shawn D.: Belle, things are different now, all right? Everything's different now.

Belle: Not everything. Until I know that what we have is forever and that you're not gonna walk away from me again... then you can sleep in your own bed or you can sleep on the beach, but you're not sleeping with me.

Steve: Please, baby.

Kayla: You have not talked to Stephanie in weeks, and she knows that something's wrong.

Steve: I'm just trying to give her a little more time before she has to deal with all this. You know, I took my meds, and I'll keep taking my meds. I'll -- I'll get to therapy, and I'll do whatever it takes to get out of this place if you promise me you won't say anything to Stephanie.

Kayla: [Sighs] You know I want to, but I have believed you so many times, and every time...

[Exhales sharply] Why is this different?

Steve: Because I'm different. I... I realize now I can't do this on my own. I need you by my side. God've been there. I don't know why, but I need you, sweetness. You know, I-I heard what you said to my doctor. I was kind of out of it, but I woke up for a minute, and I heard you -- I heard you tell her you love me.

Kayla: You know I love you. And you have used that to manipulate me, and I have let you.

Steve: Come here, baby. Come on. I won't bite you. Come on, baby. Come a little closer. Come on. Yes. You love me, sweetness. God knows I love you. Come on. Come here, baby. Oh. I love you.

Maggie: Hey.

Nick: Hey, Aunt Maggie.

Maggie: I didn't realize that you knew E.J. Wells.

Nick: I don't, really. He just wanted a favor.

Maggie: A favor? What kind of favor?

Nick: He wanted to know whether his good friend Samantha Brady was having her lab work done at my hospital.

Maggie: Huh. And what business is it of E.J.'s where Sami gets her blood work done?

Nick: Good question.

Sami: E.J. -- It is always something about E.J., isn't it? Why can't it ever be about anything else?

Lucas: Are you done?

Sami: I don't know. Maybe. It depends on what he wants.

Lucas: He didn't want anything. He wants me to meet for lunch tomorrow with a representative from the knot.

Sami: The knot? What is that -- a magazine about panic attacks?

Lucas: No. It's a website and magazine on weddings.

Sami: Weddings? Lunch -- that's all?

Lucas: Yeah, that's all. Well, you know, he seems to think that mythic could be interested in promoting internet weddings.

Sami: What is that -- couples get married by webcam? It's kind of cool. I never tried that.

Lucas: Don't even get that idea. Don't even think it.

Sami: It could be cool.

Lucas: No. E.J. seems to think there's a market for it, but I'm not having any of it. I got to do a little research tonight, and I was hoping maybe you could help me because you're the expert on weddings.

Sami: Was that a compliment?

Lucas: Yeah, it's a compliment. Honey, you have a great business mind, and you've been through your share of weddings. You know what's going on.

Sami: So you want me?

Lucas: Well, I want you in more than one way, but this would be nice. It would be helpful to me, yeah.

Sami: I can't guarantee that I'll be helpful. I don't know.

Lucas: I think you will be. Trust me.

Sami: And that's it? That's all you wanted to ask me?

Lucas: Yeah. Now that you mention it, every time I bring up E.J., you kind of go off the deep end.

Sami: No.

Lucas: Is he harassing you again? Tell me, and I'll do something about it.

Sami: It's not that. It's just that, you know, we were in a moment. It was just you and me, and then all of a sudden you bring up E.J. It's not exactly screaming Romance, you know what I mean?

Lucas: Yeah, I know. Sorry. I can make it up to you, though.

Sami: Oh, yeah?

Lucas: Oh, yeah.

Sami: I've heard that.

Lucas: Where were we?

Sami: Garbage. Garbage. I'll be right back.

Lucas: Yeah.

Sami: In a second.

Lucas: Hurry up. Take out that garbage.

Sami: All right.

Lucas: Hurry up. [Humming] Hey, Mom, it's Lucas. Hey, listen. Sami's gonna meet me tomorrow with that website designer. Yeah, you should have plenty of time to set up the surprise shower. Thank you. I really appreciate this. You know, Sami's just gonna be blown away.

E.J.: A woman as beautiful as you should not be taking out the trash, Samantha.

E.J.: Hey, can I help?

Sami: No.

E.J.: What are you doing?

Sami: I'm taking out the trash, obviously, and I, um, thought that I had dropped my keys, but I didn't.

E.J.: Well, shouldn't Lucas be doing that?

Sami: Taking out the garbage is very favorite chore. Now, if you'll excuse me.

E.J.: Samantha, wait. It's, uh, it's been almost a week since you had the amnio. When can I expect to get the results back from the lab?

Steve: How about that, baby, huh? Does it feel like the real thing to you?

Kayla: Yeah, it feels real.

Steve: Mm-hmm.

Kayla: Listen, I know how you feel about me. It doesn't matter what you say or -- what matters is what you do.

Steve: I just showed you, baby. I just showed you.

Kayla: You just took your medicine.

Steve: You think that's why I wanted to kiss you? I love you, baby. I mean, I -- not to mention, I -- if it wasn't for you, I'd be in the county lockup right now with a cellmate called Bobo.

Kayla: I thought you said you'd rather be in jail.

Steve: I'd rather be with you.

Kayla: I'd rather be with you, too...but I want you well.

Steve: What if I can't? What if what you see is what you get?

Kayla: What I see is the man I love.

Steve: A drugged-out zombie. It's not the man you love, and we both know it. What if I'm like this forever? Can you live with that?

Shawn D.: You want me to go?

Belle: No, I don't. I want you here.

Shawn D.: Yeah, on your terms.

Belle: Well, for now, yeah.

Shawn D.: I don't get it. What are you so afraid of? You think I'm going somewhere? Where am I gonna go?

Belle: I'm not talking about now. I'm talking about forever. I'm talking about when we get somewhere where we can settle down and take a deep breath and actually live a normal life. Then what?

Shawn D.: I'm not walking out on you.

Belle: You said that before.

Shawn D.: When we were kids, but we've got a kid now. It's us against the world. It helps being on the same side, you know?

Belle: So that means that we have to sleep together?

Shawn D.: Of course not. But I feel like you're testing me or you're punishing me.

Belle: Maybe I am.

Shawn D.: After everything that we have been through, you still don't trust me?

Belle: I trusted you with the most important thing in my life. I trusted you with Claire. I followed you to Toronto.

Shawn D.: But you still won't let me hold you in my arms, even though you say that, that's what you want.

Belle: I am not playing games with you, Shawn, if that's what you think.

Shawn D.: I don't know what to think. One minute we're looking at Claire, and we're imagining what she's gonna be like when she grows up. We felt like a family. Then the next minute -- boom. We're fighting again.

Belle: Wait a minute. You're the one that got all bent out of shape about the beds.

Shawn D.: That's because you won't listen to me.

Belle: That makes two of us, doesn't it? I am not the same person I was before, either. I have learned the hard way that I am all grown up, too, and I can take care of myself if I need to.

Shawn D.: Is that what you want?

Belle: What I want is to be a real partner. I want to be treated like an equal.

Shawn D.: Are you saying that I don't do that?

Belle: Yes, I am. I would never have gone behind your back to call my parents if you hadn't ordered me not to. We don't discuss things. It's either your way or forget it, and you've always been like that. And when things go wrong, you lose your temper and you go and do stupid, rash things that make everything worse, and I don't know if that's gonna change.

Shawn D.: If you haven't noticed a change in me by now --

Belle: I know you've grown up a little bit, and I know you're more responsible, but --

Shawn D.: Still not good enough, right?

Belle: I think that there are things that we both need to work on.

[Knock on door]

Gabby: Sorry if I'm interrupting.

Belle: No, you're not.

Gabby: Okay, great. I forgot to bring these fresh pillowcases up earlier.

Belle: Thank you.

Gabby: Good night.

Belle: Good night. What are you doing?

Shawn D.: What does it look like I'm doing? I'm sleeping outside...partner.

Kayla: You are my husband, the only man I've ever loved -- that I'll ever love -- no matter what. Are you all right?

Steve: Hmm? Oh. Oh, no. I fell asleep on you. [Chuckles] I've never done that before, have I?

Kayla: It's the medication making you tired.

Steve: Yeah.

Kayla: Why don't I go, and I'll let you rest?

Steve: Okay. No, no. Hey, wait, wait, wait, wait. Uh... you never gave me an answer. I cooperate with the treatment and you don't say anything to Stephanie, right?

Kayla: Does that "cooperate with the treatment" include full disclosure?

Steve: If you want to see me naked, baby, all you got to do is ask.

Kayla: Don't be funny. You have never named who forced you to take john from the hospital to harvest his kidney. You know, I can't believe you. I can't believe that you are still protecting him. E.J. Wells tortured you. He's still torturing you.

Steve: E.J. Wells had nothing to do with that! Now, leave it the hell alone!

Sami: Do you ever give it a rest?

E.J.: Not when it's as important as this.

Sami: Well, maybe I should put my voice on a recording for you so you can play it back whenever you need to. You will find out the results of the amnio as soon as I do. It is not my fault that it takes a long time to analyze DNA.

E.J.: Really? I don't remember that being a problem for you in the past. As I recall, you're quite familiar with getting your way around the hospital lab.

Sami: You'll find out who the baby's father is when I do.

E.J.: There's a problem with that, Samantha. I don't trust you.

Sami: That's really funny, E.J. It's not my problem.

E.J.: Unfortunately, it is my problem, seeing as how you betrayed by setting me up to the police.

Sami: Oh, you mean the night that you shot John Black and put him in a coma?

E.J.: If you believe that, then you should know what I'm capable of, sweetheart.

Sami: Oh, I do know. I know that you raped me, and now I know that you're threatening me. You're threatening to kill me and the unborn child that could very well be yours.

E.J.: Well, that's progress. Now at least we're admitting that it could be mine, eh?

Sami: You're such a bastard.

Lucas: What are you doing? What the hell's going on out here?

Sami: Nothing.

E.J.: I was just saying good night to Samantha. Good night, Samantha, Lucas.

Lucas: I was wondering what was taking you so long. You okay? Is he bothering you?

Sami: No. It's fine. I'm just gonna take out the trash.

Lucas: All right. Thanks.

Kayla: I can't leave it alone. E.J. hurt you. He and his father took away your life -- took away our life.

Steve: It's too late to change what happened.

Kayla: What about what's happening now? You are still tormented by what happened in the past, and look at John. He is still in a coma. His life is on the line, all because of E.J. That kind of evil needs to be stopped.

Steve: By who? By you?

Kayla: Well, if that's the way it needs to be. Orderly, I'm ready to go!

Steve: Kayla, I'm warning you -- you stay away from E.J. Wells.

Kayla: Would you listen to me if I said the same thing to you?

Steve: He's dangerous.

Kayla: Would you swear to that in a court of law? Would you testify that he's the one that forced you to abduct John from the hospital? Fine.

Steve: No. I can't.

Kayla: Then you leave me no choice.

E.J.: Sorry. No soliciting in this building.

Willow: Would you rather we had, had this conversation in front of Nick tonight?

E.J.: Didn't I warn you to stay away?

Willow: I did stay away. I was trying to set up a place for me to live, but you probably ruined that, right?

E.J.: What are you doing now? You're knocking on everybody's door, seeing if you can find a man who will take you in?

Willow: That's not why I'm here.

E.J.: How do you know Nick Fallon? I can't imagine that you're exactly his type.

Willow: He's just being nice to me.

E.J.: Then why don't you go and stay with him, okay?

Willow: Wait a minute. You are a superrich guy. What do you get out of cheating me? I need the money. You don't.

E.J.: Do you have a point?

Willow: I am having a baby. I can't live on the streets.

E.J.: It's tough, yeah, but, you know, I feel that everything's gonna be okay.

Willow: I broke into Bo's house. I took Hope's jewelry. I have done everything that you wanted to, but you still won't pay me. I-I have taken this to every pawnshop in this town, and nobody will touch it.

E.J.: What exactly do you expect me to do with that?

Willow: Buy it from me. Please. I am begging you. You have to help me.

Lucas: Are you sure you're okay?

Sami: Yeah.

Lucas: What did E.J. really want?

Sami: Oh, he was just being his normal creepy self.

Lucas: Is he bothering you? Is he harassing you? If he is, I'll set him straight.

Sami: No. No. Look, once we're married and we have our new baby, I'm sure he'll get the picture.

Lucas: So he is still interested in you.

Sami: No. No. I -- I don't know. He hasn't said anything like that to me.

Lucas: But he is, isn't he? I know it. I can see it.

Sami: I don't care. I don't care because I'm interested in you. I love you more than anything.

Lucas: Yeah, I love you, too, but I can't believe that guy's still here.

Sami: What?

Lucas: He should have moved out by now. Maybe I should remind him the old-fashioned way.

Sami: Stop it, Lucas. He is your boss. Don't forget that, okay? It doesn't matter, anyway.

Lucas: It matters to me if he's bothering you.

Sami: It's okay. I'm fine. Are you fine?

Lucas: I'm fine if you're fine.

Sami: I'm fine. Everything's under control.

Willow: You don't want me to get caught with these, do you?

E.J.: Oh, dear Willow.

Willow: Okay, let's put it this way. If I can scrape enough money together to get out of this town, you'll never see me again.

E.J.: Why don't you come inside?

Willow: Oh, I'm fine right here.

E.J.: Sweetheart, you do realize that if I wanted you dead [Clicks tongue] I'd have killed you already.

Belle: Shawn, don't be ridiculous.

Shawn D.: It's late. We need to sleep. We'll talk in the morning.

Belle: I thought you were worried about us pretending to be a couple. How's it gonna look if you're sleeping on the beach?

Shawn D.: I don't give a damn how it looks.

Belle: Wait. Shawn. At least take these. I don't want you to go. You know that. So if anybody asks...

Shawn D.: I'll tell them it was my idea.

Belle: Fine. Go.

Steve: Kayla, listen. You want to save the world? Start with yourself. Start with Stephanie. Baby, what would we do if we lost you?

Kayla: Why does it always turn to this? When you want something, it's all about how much you love me and you love Stephanie, and then I fall for it, and then you back away again.

Steve: My loving you puts you in danger.

Kayla: So that's your answer -- you're just gonna act like you don't care.

Steve: You got to promise me you will stay away from E.J. Wells. Promise me. Kayla, promise me!

Kayla: I got to go.

Steve: No!

Kayla: Take care of yourself.

Steve: Promise me! Kayla! Kayla, he'll kill you! He'll kill Stephanie!

E.J.: Here. It's for you.

Willow: What is this?

E.J.: It's a gentleman. He handles preowned collectibles.

Willow: So he's a fence.

E.J.: He'll take care of it for you.

Willow: Thank you.

E.J.: And, Willow... if you should ever come here again...then you won't need to worry about finding somewhere to live for you and your baby.

Willow: I get it, okay?

E.J.: I hope you do.

Lucas: Mmm. Mmm.

Sami: Lucas, I forgot.

Lucas: What?

Sami: I have to take my prenatal vitamins.

Lucas: Okay. Hurry up.

Sami: I will.

Lucas: I'll keep the bed warm.

Sami: Okay. [Chuckles] [Door closes] [Sighs] [Cellphone ringing] Hello.

Celeste: Samantha.

Sami: Celeste.

Celeste: I know it's late, darling, but we need to talk -- about E.J.

Sami: I don't want to talk about E.J., and I don't want to think about E.J. I am handling this.

Celeste: [Scoffs] Well, you may think you are, darling, but --

Sami: Don't call me again, Celeste. Goodbye. Oh, God, this has to work.

Shawn D.: I was actually thinking that I want to come upstairs and sleep, if that's okay with you.

Belle: Of course, it is.

Chelsea: Hope told me that she believes me about the fire.

Billie: We're gonna need your support. I got off the phone with Bo. He's on his way over -- official business.

Celeste: Do you hear what I'm saying to you? That bastard from hell deserves to die!

All: Surprise!
