Sami: Mmm. Do you not like your sandwich?

Chelsea: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just -- I'm not very hungry.

Sami: When you're pregnant, you are hungry all the time. It's nice 'cause you get to eat what you want.

Chelsea: Yeah, well, I guess I'll never know, seeing as it's beginning to look like I'm gonna be alone forever.

Sami: Chelsea, you are not gonna be alone forever.

Chelsea: You know, maybe I should just join the nunnery, take myself out of the running.

Sami: [Laughs] Yeah, I have a hard time picturing you as, what, Sister Chelsea Margaret Mary?

Chelsea: Yeah. So, what am I then?

Sami: Hey, you're a beautiful girl who's going through a rough patch. It's gonna be over, believe it or not.

Chelsea: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, Sami, I really tried. I've tried to be a person that my family could be proud of. I've tried to be a great friend, and where has it gotten me? Dumped on over and over again.

Sami: Believe me, I know how you feel. Everyone you love turns against you and you feel like you're all alone.

Chelsea: I am all alone. I have been ever since my parents died. And by parents, I mean the Benson’s, the people that raised me, that loved me no matter what I did, right or wrong. I just really miss them sometimes.

Sami: Of course you do. And you always will, but you do have Bo and Billie.

Chelsea: Yeah. Billie who stuck the knife in my back, and Bo who thinks I set his house on fire with his wife and child inside. Yeah, some family.

Sami: Hey, the Brady’s are a great family. Look at me -- I'm here. I'm not going anywhere.

Chelsea: Yeah. Why are you being so nice to me? I mean, I didn't even think you liked me that much.

Sami: Well, you can be a brat, but who am I to talk? I can be a brat, too. I, um...I don't know, Chelsea. I guess I see something of myself in you. I think we have a lot in common. When we're angry or desperate, we do crazy things and we act before we think, and then we end up scrambling to try to fix it. It's hard.

Chelsea: Yeah, but everything's going so great for you now, right?

Sami: Yeah. And it will for you, too. You just can't give up on yourself...or your family. Which is why I want you to agree to be a bridesmaid in my wedding.

Chelsea: Are you kidding? The last time you got married -- well, almost married -- I was horrible. I was the worst bridesmaid ever.

Sami: Well, that's okay 'cause I was probably the worst bride ever. But it's gonna be different this time. It's a fresh start... for both of us. So what do you say?

Celeste: Benjamin, hello. Thanks for meeting me. Now, look, I know you're afraid, but I desperately need your help. E.J. is out of control. He's taken the DiMera madness beyond even Stefano. Alexandra, my own daughter, was victim of it. And it's time someone put a stop to him once and for all.

Kayla: If you see Steve or if you hear from him, could you please get ahold of me? It's very important. Thank you. [Mumbles] Roman, Roman, thank you so much for coming. Thank you.

Roman: Well, I got here as soon as I could. Are you okay?

Kayla: No, no, I'm not okay.

Roman: All right, well, let me get this straight -- Steve pretended he had a knife, held you as a hostage to get past the orderly.

Kayla: Yeah, and then he took off. Roman, we've got to find him. This has gone too far.

Roman: Okay, all right. Just try to keep calm, all right? I already put out an APB.

Kayla: No, no, no, no, no. That is not a good idea. Steve needs help. The last thing he needs is some gung ho cops waiving guns in his face.

Roman: Kayla, look, I understand your concern, all right, but I got to do everything I can to get Steve off the streets. Right now he is dangerous to himself and to others. I think he's proven that already. Don't you?

Billie: Steve.

Steve: Hello, Billie.

Billie: How are you?

Steve: Not so good, actually. You know, Kayla and Bo had me thrown in the State Hospital. But as you can see, I broke out.

Billie: You broke out?

Steve: Yeah, I had to get out of there before I did something. You know, give them a reason to keep me there permanently.

Billie: I understand. What do you want with me?

Steve: I need you to give me some money, some clothes. I need a car. I can't trust anyone... except you. I hope. [Knock on door] No, no, no, no. Don't answer it.

Billie: Steve, Chelsea and I just had a huge fight. It could be her. Please.

Steve: Okay, but you just get rid of her fast.

E.J.: Hey, Billie.

Billie: E.J.

E.J.: Look, I'm sorry to intrude, again. I know you've had a trying day, but I was thinking that maybe I could take your mind off things for a little bit.

Billie: Excuse me?

E.J.: Well, I have a meeting down at the Penthouse Grill and I thought that maybe you could join me afterwards.

Billie: Chelsea's here. We're talking.

E.J.: Really? Oh, that is fantastic. That's great. I really hope you guys can work things out.

Billie: Thanks.

E.J.: Okay, well, yeah, I guess, um...some other time. Call me.

Billie: All right. [Chuckles]

Steve: What the hell was that all about?

Billie: What?

Steve: How long have you and Wells been seeing each other?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Kayla: This is everyone I was thinking that maybe Steve could have gone to. But I've already called just about everybody on that list, and so far nothing.

Roman: All right, I'll tell you what we'll do. We'll split up the rest of these names. We'll make some calls, see if we can't come up with something.

Kayla: Well, maybe, but I think I know exactly where Steve is. I think he's with E.J. Wells.

Roman: E.J. Wells?

Kayla: Yeah. You know, he came to see Steve right here after he was admitted. He has an incredible hold on him. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he orchestrated this whole breakout just to get Steve back in the fold.

Roman: Well, that could be. But there is one other possibility we need to consider before we start tracking a man down. And that is a possibility that's not on your list.

Kayla: What is it?

Roman: He might have gone to Billie.

Steve: Huh?

Billie: We're not seeing each other. We're just -- I barely know the guy.

Steve: Didn't look that way to me. He asked you out like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Billie: We're working on a project together, Steve.

Steve: So it's just business, is it?

Billie: Yes.

Steve: I really hope you're telling me the truth, Billie. Because I need to put my faith in someone right now. And I would hate to think... that you're gonna sell me down the river like everybody else.

Celeste: You may be aware that E.J. has shown interest in Samantha Brady's unborn child. Well, since he isn't exactly the fatherly type, I need to find out what his true motives are. Do you know? Benjamin, now listen -- you can trust me. I promise, darling. I won't tell anyone. Her baby seems to be an obsession with the DiMeras. Why? All E.J. told you was that Stefano considers the baby... a gift from God? What does that mean? You don't know. One thing is for sure -- does not bode well for Sami.

Sami: So, this is gonna be the wedding to end all weddings, literally, at least for me anyway. So I want it to be a celebration that I will always remember, which reminds me. I can't forget to call the photographer. Lucas and I decided that we want to have a videographer cover the wedding, too, so...

Chelsea: That's a good idea. I mean, that way, when your child's old enough, he can watch his parents share the happiest day of their lives together -- getting married.

Sami: Yeah. So, um, have you decided, coz? Will you be part of my wedding?

E.J.: At it again, eh? Wedding plans, eh? Aren't you taking an awful lot for granted, Samantha?

[Door slamming]

E.J.: Chelsea, you don't mind if I have a chip, do you?

Sami: [Sighs] What are you doing here? Why don't you mind your own business?

E.J.: Your happiness is my business, Samantha. We're friends, right? And knowing your track record with weddings, I thought that -- I wanted to make sure you weren't getting your hopes up 'cause I don't want you to be disappointed.

Sami: I'm not going to be disappointed.

E.J.: Quite. Well, how could that happen, eh?

Sami: So, did you come here just to ruin our appetites, or do you actually have a reason?

E.J.: No, I just came to say hello. You girls enjoy your meal, eh? Thanks for the chip, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Okay, he creeps me out.

Sami: Yeah, believe me, I know the feeling. But as I was saying before we were rudely interrupted --

Chelsea: Look, Sami, um, I really appreciate your offer. I just can't accept.

Sami: Why not?

Chelsea: It's not that I'm not honored to be a part of your wedding. It's just -- it would involve me facing everyone, and that's something that I'm not ready to do right now. It's like half the people in my life I've disappointed, and the other half --

Sami: Have disappointed you. I get it. You can't figure out how to please them, so you've decided to not even try -- to completely check out.

Chelsea: I just don't feel like I'm meant to be a part of this family. It's just -- it's not working out.

Sami: I keep telling you -- it can. You just -- you're just gonna have to keep working at it. Trust me.

Chelsea: Sami, your life turned around because you saved Lucas' life. It's not like I can go around waiting for a roof to fall on my dad.

Doctor: Mr. Wells?

E.J.: Doctor, please.

Doctor: I don't have much time. My flight to...leaves in a couple of hours. I'm sorry.

E.J.: This won't take long. I just need an update on my father. I'd rather hear it from you directly.

Doctor: Sure. Stefano's responded well to the transplant, but he's not out of the woods yet. There could be other complications.

E.J.: What kind of complications?

Doctor: Well, rejection of the transplant is a possibility. And there are immune-system disorders that we can't know about at this point.

E.J.: Well, when will we know?

Doctor: Not for a couple of weeks.

E.J.: And if it is, then what?

Doctor: We may have to consider finding a bone-marrow donor. Another member of your family could provide A...a good match. Um...I don't know. Is there anybody you know that we could count on, Mr. Wells?

E.J.: Maybe. In the meantime, I need to be kept informed. I want an update day and night. You hear me?

Doctor: Yes, yes. I assure you, Mr. Wells, everything that can be done is being done.

E.J.: It had better be. You understand me? It had better be. Nothing is more important to me than my father's life. And I am holding you personally responsible for that.

Doctor: Sí. [Speaks indistinctly] Now if you'll excuse me, Mr. Wells, I really should be going to the airport. Arrivederci.

E.J.: Thank you, doctor.

Kayla: Actually, I was thinking about calling Billie. But then I thought, "what's the point?" I mean, things didn't end well with them once Steve got his memory back. God, that just seems like a lifetime ago.

Roman: [Sighs] Kayla...look at me. You have to stop thinking of Steve as someone you know. 'Cause the guy that used you to escape from this place is a stranger. And the fact is, that stranger may feel more comfortable with Billie. I'm sorry I got to put it that way.

Kayla: I know he doesn't trust me anymore. And he did have feelings for Billie. So I guess [Sighs] I guess we can call her.

Roman: All right, well, I can do it.

Kayla: No. Let me.

[Telephone rings]

Steve: Ah-ah-ah-ah. Let it ring, let it ring.

Billie: Please, it could be Chelsea. Please, my daughter. [Ringing continues]

Steve: Don't do anything stupid. I'm right here.

Billie: Hello?

Kayla: Billie, hello. It's Kayla. I know this may sound strange, but...by any chance have you seen Steve?

Kayla: Billie? Billie, are you there? I just asked if you had seen Steve or heard from him. It's very important.

Billie: No, I haven't. [Clears throat] I've been in bed sick with the flu all day. Why?

Kayla: He escaped from the hospital, and I'm afraid he might be dangerous.

Billie: Dangerous?

Kayla: Yeah, so if you hear from him at all, will you please get in touch with me right away?

Billie: Yes, I sure will.

Kayla: Thank you, Billie. Goodbye.

Steve: You did good. Yeah, it's good.

Billie: Steve.

Steve: Now, let's get down to business. You got something in here for me to put on?

Billie: No, uh...no, I don't, but I do have a spare key to Lucas' apartment.

Steve: No, no, no, unh-unh. No, that's not gonna work.

Billie: But how would I -- I'm just gonna --

Steve: No, I can't take the chance that when you're over there, you won't call the cops.

Billie: Steve, I won't call anyone. You came here because you needed my help. And that's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to help you.

Roman: No luck?

Kayla: Billie is in bed with the flu. She hasn't heard from him, said that she'll call us if she does.

Roman: All right. All right, well, I guess maybe we can eliminate that.

Kayla: You know, I still think that E.J.'s got him.

Roman: I'll call Mythic, find out where he is.

Sami: I really think you can do what you want to do. You can make your life anything you want. You don't need the roof to fall on anybody to change your life. You just can't shut out the world. That's not the answer.

Chelsea: Okay, so what do I do?

Sami: Well, you hold your head up high. You be patient. And you agree to be my bridesmaid.

Chelsea: You're that short on bridesmaids, huh?

Sami: No, it's not about that. It's because you're my family, and that's the most important thing in the world. Sure they can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but they're still important. And look, facing the world and acting like you belong, even when your heart is breaking on the inside, that's what a real hero is. And just think how fun the reception is gonna be and how you can flirt with all of the extra-hot groomsman and use them to make Nick jealous. And most importantly, you will be making me very happy.

Chelsea: You know, I really didn't think that anybody could make me feel better after what I've been through, but...you've actually managed to make me feel needed. And, um, I don't get to feel needed that often.

Sami: Ha! My plan is working. Chelsea, I really mean it. You can't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. I have always believed you had to take action.

Chelsea: You really think that things will change for me?

Sami: Yeah, I really do. I mean, look at me. I'm proof positive that anything is possible.

Chelsea: Okay. Well, I promise I will not let you down.

Sami: Does that mean that you will be a bridesmaid?

Chelsea: Yes, I would love to be your bridesmaid.

Sami: Fantastic! Because now I can guilt-trip you into coming with me to a wedding-gown fitting this afternoon. I'm so nervous, but anyway, then you can get fit for your dress, too, and I hope you like it better than the last one.

Chelsea: Sami, I liked the last dress just fine. I was just being a brat when I said that I didn't.

Sami: Well, then, you are going to love this one. And Nick will definitely eat his heart out.

Chelsea: Oh, well, in that case, I'm there.

Sami: [Laughs] Awesome.

Waiter: Excuse me, Miss Brady.

Sami: Uh, oh, well, we're both Miss Brady’s.

Waiter: Samantha Brady.

Sami: That would be me.

Chelsea: What is it, Sami? Is it okay?

Sami: [Clears throat] Yeah, uh, everything's fine. I just -- I need to use the ladies' room. Excuse me, Chelsea.

E.J.: Chelsea, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat earlier. Do you mind if I sit down?

Chelsea: Okay.

E.J.: Thank you. So, I was rather surprised to walk in here and see you. I, uh, got the impression you were at home having a chat with your mother.

Chelsea: Oh, I don't know why you would think that. Billie and I are not on speaking terms.

E.J.: That's funny. I could have -- never mind. I don't suppose it really matters. I should tell you, it's really good to see you getting on so well with your cousin over there. Tell me, is she feeling all right?

Chelsea: All right?

E.J.: Well, I just -- I couldn't help noticing that she looked a little green around the gills as she ran off to the ladies' room. I was just wondering, is she getting sick?

Chelsea: I don't think so.

E.J.: Well, then, are you sure about that?

Chelsea: Yes, I'm sure. And why are you so interested?

E.J.: Well, I'm just wondering where she's going in such a hurry.

Billie: I'm trying to help you, Steve. Just let me go get the clothes. I'll be right back. You said you trusted me.

Steve: I want to. No, no, I just can't take the chance. I trusted everybody else. They all let me down. I can't.

Billie: I won't.

Steve: Now, Billie, don't argue with me. I'm just not gonna let you out of my sight. Now find something here for me to put on and do it fast.

Billie: I don't have any men's clothes here.

Steve: Just anything!

Billie: Okay. I think I-I -- okay, I have some old sweats. I can go get some old sweats for you to put on.

Steve: Wait, wait, wait. Cellphone.

Billie: Steve.

Steve: Where's your cellphone? No calls on the house phone, either.

Billie: Steve, I wouldn't do that to you. I'm on your side.

Steve: Just get the clothes. I'm watching you.

Chelsea: Look, E.J., maybe you should do what Sami said and just mind your own business.

E.J.: I don't mean to be nosey, Chelsea. It's just that Samantha fainted last night.

Chelsea: She did?

E.J.: She did. She was standing in the hallway, and she fell. I mean, luckily she fell right into my arms, so when I saw her leaving in such a hurry, I just wanted to make sure that she was okay, as a friend.

Chelsea: Right, as a friend. Well, you can either head into the ladies' room and ask her for yourself, or you can wait for her to get back at your own table.

E.J.: You're quite the charmer, aren't you?

Chelsea: That seems to be the consensus.

E.J.: Well, if I was you, I would dial down some of that hostility, young lady. Other people might get the wrong impression. Now, just for the record...I don't happen to believe that you're the crazy arsonist that burned down your father's house. My motto, and it serves me very well, is innocent until proven guilty.

Roman: Well, now, isn't this interesting? Our niece is sharing a meal with E.J. Wells.

Chelsea: Actually, I'm sharing it with Sami. E.J. has his own table over there, which he was just heading back to.

E.J.: Yes, so I was. Absolutely. I'm sure you, as a family, have plenty you need to be discussing.

Kayla: Actually, it's you that we've come here to speak with.

Roman: In private.

E.J.: Of course. Chelsea, it was an absolute pleasure talking to you. Please give my best to Samantha. If you'd like to follow me. Here we are. Kayla, darling, allow me. It's this or the floor. Thank you, Roman. Now, tell me, what can I get you both to drink?

Roman: This isn't a social call, E.J.

E.J.: No, I had a funny feeling that it wasn't, judging by the look coming out of Kayla's eyes. What am I being accused of this time, eh? Tell me, what has the evil E.J. Wells done?

Sami: This had better be earth-shattering, Celeste. You have taken a huge risk coming here. E.J. is sitting 10 feet away from me. How did you even know that I was here?

Celeste: I spoke to Lucas.

Sami: Lucas? Oh, Celeste, you don't think he's gonna be suspicious that Lexie's mom wants to talk to me?

Celeste: I told him that I wanted to make certain that Abraham and Theodore were invited to the wedding. He seemed to accept that, so just stop worrying.

Sami: "Stop worrying"? E.J. is trying to make my life a living hell and you want me to stop worrying.

Celeste: Samantha, listen.

Sami: We're together. If E.J. sees us, he's gonna think that we're plotting or planning something, and then who knows what he'll do.

Celeste: Well, I have told you how to stop E.J.’s threats.

Sami: And I told you that I am not interested. I may hate E.J. more than anything in the world, but I am not a murderer. So if that is why you came here, then --

Celeste: I came here, darling, to make you aware of a conversation that I just had with Stefano's son Benjy.

Sami: Benjy.

Celeste: Yeah. He let it be known that the old man is obsessed -- and I'll repeat the word -- obsessed with your baby. He thinks the child is -- and, again, I quote -- "a gift from God."

Sami: If this baby is E.J.'s, it's the work of the devil.

Celeste: Well, you remember what E.J. told you the night he raped you -- that he wanted to plant the seed. And now, darling, if you are carrying the seed, you can be certain that you're never going to see your child once it's born, because the DiMeras, they will absolutely take it away from you. Is that what you want, Samantha? I mean, you're willing to just stand by and let that happen?

Sami: Nobody is taking my baby from me. I have it all under control, Celeste.

Celeste: Really? You have E.J. under control?

Sami: Yeah, yeah, I have a plan in motion that will convince E.J. that he is not the father.

Celeste: And, Samantha, what if the amnio that he demands says otherwise?

Sami: It's not gonna happen. He is gonna believe that Lucas is the father no matter what.

Celeste: Oh, dear God. How much more naive can you be? I've told you before, Samantha, you can't fool E.J. with your tricks.

Sami: It's not a trick, okay? It's foolproof.

Celeste: You do this, whatever it is, and you're playing with fire. Not only putting your unborn child in danger, but yourself, as well. I'm telling you now, Samantha, the only way that you can save your child --

Sami: No! N-o, Celeste. I am not going to murder E.J., so just forget it.

Celeste: Well, you've picked a fine time to suddenly become moral, Samantha.

Sami: Hold on a second. All right, I have done some things in my life that I regret, but I'm not a killer.

Celeste: Ridding the world of E.J. could hardly be considered a sin. No, darling, on the contrary. You'd be doing something noble and saving God knows how many others from his evil.

Sami: If you feel that way, then you do it. Celeste, don't let E.J. see you on the way out.

Kayla: You know, this is not a joke, E.J. I want to know what you've done with my husband.

E.J.: What do you mean what have I done with him? I'm assuming Steve is still in the mental hospital where we left him.

Kayla: If you don't tell me what you did with him right this second --

Roman: Kayla, Kayla. Steve escaped. We thought you might know something about that, E.J.

E.J.: He escaped? You're telling me that maniac is on the loose again? And you think I had something to do with this? That guy physically assaulted me on more than one occasion. He's made horrible accusations against my character.

Kayla: All of which were true. He is the way he is because of you. You and your family. You tortured him.

E.J.: Oh, my goodness.

Kayla: You brainwashed him, and you know it.

Roman: Kayla, Kayla, that's enough.

E.J.: I understand you're in a lot of pain. I can only imagine the stress that you are under, but you need to get a grip, sweetheart. Otherwise you're gonna find yourself sitting right beside your husband at that mental hospital.

Kayla: You know what? I know that you went to see him at the hospital. Don't even bother trying to deny it. I saw the guest log. You logged in right after he was admitted.

E.J.: Yes, I went to see him at the hospital. Steve stole a phone. He called me.

Roman: Really? What did he want?

E.J.: He had some crazy notion about me helping him escape, but I told him that he needed help. And I told him the best place to get this help was in the hospital, but, Kayla, to be completely honest with you, the guy's out of his mind.

Kayla: Do you really expect me to believe that?

E.J.: That he's crazy?

Kayla: That you were so concerned about Steve that you made a special trip to the hospital to make sure that you convinced him that he needed to stay there to get help. Are you kidding me? You could care less about Steve. You have no respect for human life. You don't care about anyone but yourself. So if you made a special trip to the hospital to see him, it was for some other reason, and I want you to tell me right now what it was.

Billie: What are you doing?

Steve: I'm planning our route. The back roads we can take to the State line.

Billie: We?

Steve: You're my last chance to get away, if you don't blow it. Even if they do catch up to me, they won't be taking me alive. What are you doing? What's wrong, Billie? You're not scared of me. You're scared of me, aren't you?

Billie: Yes. I am afraid of you. You're not the Steve I used to know.

Steve: I'm not? I'm sorry, Billie. That -- that nuthouse they put me in, that really did a number on me. I can't go back there. No, if I seem desperate, it's because I am. If I go back there, I'll die. I don't belong there. You got to believe that. I'm sorry. I don't mean to scare you. I don't want to scare you. I know I got no right to be here after the way I hurt you. I did. I hurt you. I'm sorry. But... we were friends once, right? Now, I need that friendship right now. Will you -- will you help me?

Billie: Get dressed. I'll pack us some food, and we can hit the road.

E.J.: My patience, commissioner, is near an end. I've taken a tremendous amount of nonsense from your family, and these conspiracy-theorist arguments from your sister are not only tiresome, they are also actionable. If I have to take out a restraining order against your family, I will do that.

Roman: Well, E.J., you do know where the police station is, so if you want to file one.

E.J.: What I want, commissioner, is for your family, particularly this mentally unstable sister of yours, to leave me alone. I did not torture your husband, nor do I have any idea where he is.

Kayla: If you don't tell me right this second where he is, I swear, E.J. --

E.J.: Well, have you looked at Billie's house? Because, you know, they had a bit of a thing a while ago. Maybe that'd be a good place to start.

Roman: Hey, now you're out of line. And we did talk to Billie. She's been sick in bed all day, hasn't seen anybody.

E.J.: Is that so? In which case I have no more lines for you to pursue, so if you wouldn't mind, eh?

Kayla: Let's get out of here. I can't stand to look at his face anymore.

Roman: If I find out you had anything to do with this...

E.J.: Commissioner, let me tell you something -- I want Steve Johnson arrested just as much as you do. I tell you what, I'll make you a deal.

Roman: Yeah, what kind of deal is that, E.J.?

E.J.: Here's what I'll do -- I will put out some feelers and see if I can find Steve for you, okay? I'll let you have him, and that way the Salem Police Department will understand that I am just as invested in law and order as everybody else.

Roman: Right, E.J. Right. Let's go.

Sami: He's leaving.

Chelsea: Well, that's a good thing, right?

Sami: Yeah, I just wonder where he was rushing off to.

Chelsea: That's funny 'cause he was actually wondering the same, only it was about why you were rushing off to the ladies' room.

Sami: He asked you about why I was going to the ladies' room?

Chelsea: Well, yeah. He said he's your friend, but, um, in my opinion, the guy's just off.

Sami: Tell me everything he said to you.

Chelsea: Well, he said that he was concerned about whether or not you were sick, but I just kept telling him I didn't know why you took off.

Sami: And?

Chelsea: And then he made some snarky remark, I made some snarky remark, and that's when your dad and my Aunt Kayla came over. I thought they were gonna question me about the fire, but it turned out that they wanted to talk to him, so...

Sami: Talking to E.J.? About what?

Chelsea: I'm not sure, but I don't think it had anything to do with you, if that's what you're concerned about.

Sami: Thanks.

Chelsea: So, what is the story?

Sami: What story?

Chelsea: Why did you take off like that?

Sami: Well, it was just that -- oh, my God. What are we doing? We can't sit here and talk. We're gonna be late for my fitting. You are gonna come with me, aren't you?

Chelsea: Yeah, if you really want me to.

Sami: Of course I really want you to, and besides, you're a bridesmaid. It's practically your job. We better hurry, though.

Chelsea: Okay, well, let's go.

Roman: All right, I tell you what, let's check all over this room and see if we can't find something that'll tell us where he might have gone, all right? Start looking around over there. I'll check the windows. All right.

Kayla: Look at this.

Roman: All right, rip it.

Kayla: Oh.

Roman: Damn it. Damn it. Doesn't seem to be anything here that's gonna help us.

Kayla: Do you know what? I still don't think that E.J. was telling us everything he knows. You know, one of these days, I am going to wipe that arrogant smirk off of his face.

Roman: Well, he may be arrogant, but he did seem genuinely surprised when we told him Steve escaped.

Kayla: Where is Steve? What is he doing?

Roman: Probably trying to get as far away from here as possible, but just in case, I'm gonna call University Hospital.

Kayla: University Hospital? Why?

Roman: Well, to make sure they got guards around John. I don't want a repeat of what happened last time.

Kayla: I don't think that Steve is a threat for John, really. I think you're right. I think he just wants to get away. I need you to do something for me.

Roman: Sure. What is it?

Kayla: Call Marlena. Tell her I need her help.

Roman: You got it. You got it.

Billie: Okay, we're all set. We should get a move on, right?

Steve: Yeah. Oh, let me grab the map. Let me put it in here.

Billie: Go ahead.

Steve: Good.

Billie: [Gasps] E.J.

E.J.: Billie, I, um -- sorry to bother you again, but I had a quick question.

Billie: What's that?

E.J.: Why did you lie to me? You told me that you were chatting with Chelsea, but I just saw her down at the Penthouse Grill. What exactly is going on here?

Kayla: Yeah, well, if I get Steve home safe and sound, is he ever gonna be the same?

E.J.: My dear Samantha, have you been a naughty girl again?

Nick: I love you.

Chelsea: You know, you don't get to say that to me anymore.

Steve: Pull over.

Billie: You're not leaving me here in the middle of nowhere.

Steve: I said pull over!

Billie: No, Steve! -- [Door slamming]
