Kate: Actually, she's very petite. She's a very attractive blonde, oh, as you can see. Sami, this is Harry Samuels, and this is Bruce Rankin.

Sami: Nice to meet you.

Kate: Harry is the producer of "Heroes Among Us," and this is the director, and this is Sami Brady, my son's savior.

Harry: I hear you've got one heck of a story to tell.

Bruce: Love the visuals -- snow, cabin.

Kate: Don't forget the beam.

Harry: And the gorgeous blonde. What more could we ask for?

Kate: Right. Well, I guess that we should order, and then Sami can tell the whole story, from the start to the very end.

Bruce: Sounds good to me.

Kate: Okay.

Sami: Kate, thank you so much for doing this.

Kate: Well, you know, it's not a done deal.

Sami: What do you mean? They seem excited.

Kate: Well, I know, but it's show business. They always talk like that. You still have to sell it.

Sami: Okay.

Kate: And don't forget any details.

E.J.: Okay, now, these are the projected earnings for the fourth quarter of 2007.

Lucas: That's impressive. But with all the bad publicity Mythic has to overcome, thanks to your personal life -- the great copy it's got in the last year...

E.J.: Well, I'm not above trading on a little bit of that. By the way, your mother is organizing a pretty spectacular event, Lucas. She's got Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine. They're all gonna cover it.

Lucas: It doesn't matter what the press kits say. They're gonna talk about your indictments and the fact that Mythic's stock is down. I mean, why do you want people to know about that?

E.J.: Well, as you Americans like to say -- "no such thing as bad press."

Lucas: You really think you're gonna pass over the major players in the communication field in the next five years?

E.J.: I do.

Lucas: You sound pretty sure of yourself about that.

E.J.: One has to be, Lucas, if one wants to succeed. I have a good bonus program set up. There's Ipos involved for the team that gets us there. You could make yourself a lot of money.

Lucas: Yeah, I see that. It's interesting.

E.J.: Oh, by the way, before you do anything else... it's your contract. You forgot to sign it last night.

Lucas: I think we have a little misunderstanding here. I think your ideas are interesting, but, to tell you the truth, I'm not interested.

Merle: So Shawn ticked off the cops, eh? Bad idea.

Chelsea: Well, how long are they gonna keep him in freighter tonight. What if Shawn doesn't get out in time?

Nick: Belle, it's just a question of bail.

Merle: I'll, uh, go down to the police station, see if I can find out something.

Chelsea: Thank you.

Belle: They're gonna need money for bail, and we have to have enough money to get on that ship.

Nick: Bail won't be high.

Belle: No, we have to be on that ship! When Philip gets here --

Chelsea: Belle, Philip is not gonna get here. We ran into him and Willow at the Salem Airport, and he was definitely on his way to Toronto, but...

Nick: I put a knife in his baggage, and they didn't get through security.

Belle: I appreciate everything that you guys are doing, but I have to get Claire out of here now.

Chelsea: Belle, we will. Right now, you just need to calm down.

Belle: Don't you get it? Shawn is in jail, and Philip is on his way. Trust me -- he is. How am I supposed to protect my little girl without Shawn?

Shawn D.: Come on, man. I'm fine. Let me just get back to Mason Street and crash.

Pete: No can do.

Shawn D.: Is getting drunk in Canada some sort of a big crime?

Pete: Drunk, trespassing, obstructing police, disorderly conduct. It adds up. $8,600.

Shawn D.: That's my bail? You're kidding me, right?

Pete: Sorry, son. I save my jokes for open-mike night at the Elks Club.

Shawn D.: Look, man, I've got the money, all right? If you let me out of here, I'll get you the money.

Philip: Don't believe a word this man says, officer.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Shawn D.: One whore deserves another.

Willow: Oh, laugh all you can. You're gonna be locked up for a long time. Isn't he, Philip?

Philip: Shut up, Willow. I got a proposition for you.

Merle: Hey, Pete, got a minute?

Pete: No.

Merle: Great. Thing is, this kid you got in lockup -- this American kid -- I want to know how long you're gonna hold him.

Pete: A while unless he's got a pile of cash, which your guests usually don't.

Merle: Why, what's bail?

Pete: $8,600.

Philip: I'll pay your bail. All charges will be dropped. It'll be as if none of this ever happened. All you have to do in return is tell me where Belle and Claire are hiding.

Shawn D.: I am never gonna tell you where my family is.

Belle: God. It's my fault that Shawn's in jail. I just kept pushing him to be like my dad, and as soon as the police started busting the door down, he was. He was really amazing, and now I just...

Chelsea: Belle, it's gonna be okay.

Belle: No, Chelsea, it is not going to be okay. I could lose my baby!

Chelsea: Look, Belle, I know that you're scared, but you have got to listen to me, all right? We are not gonna let Philip take your little girl away. We're not gonna let that happen, all right?

Sami: So the beam was on Lucas' leg, and he was in trouble. He needed help, and I didn't know how. Time was running out, so I realized I had to go back to the road to try to look for someone -- a motorist, anyone who could help -- but there was no one there.

Kate: And that's when you made your final attempt to move the beam?

Sami: Yeah. Yeah, I guess I realized I had to, and, um, somehow I felt like this time I had the strength.

Kate: Wow. You know, I've heard of that happening -- when someone is faced with losing someone they love, they find the strength they never thought they had.

Sami: Exactly. Exactly. And Lucas -- he was in really bad shape. He was almost unconscious and half-buried under snow.

Kate: Oh, my God. You had to have been so scared.

Sami: I was terrified.

Kate: So, what happened next?

Sami: I lifted the beam.

Harry: But it could have shifted and fallen on you.

Sami: I didn't care. I would have done anything to save Lucas' life -- anything. And like Kate said, I found the strength I didn't know I had.

Harry: Incredible.

E.J.: Okay, let me get this straight. Now you're telling me that you don't want to run P.R. at Mythic. I thought we had an agreement.

Lucas: Sorry about that. I changed my mind.

E.J.: Is there anything I should know about? Did you win the lottery? Did you have a rich aunt who suddenly died?

Lucas: No, no.

E.J.: Okay, and you still need a job, right?

Lucas: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I still need a job. That's right.

E.J.: Okay, well, you'll have to excuse me for being a little bit slow on the uptake, but, um, why wouldn't you want to come and work for me? With all due respect, it's not like anybody else is beating down your door.

Lucas: You know, I really wish it was more complicated, but it's not. I just don't like you. No offense. Sorry.

E.J.: None taken. It's totally fine. But why would you turn down a good opportunity just because you dislike me?

Lucas: It goes way beyond "dislike" you, all right? I've hated you for a while now, and I don't even want to talk to you anymore. I'll be a lot happier when you're out of this building and out of our lives.

E.J.: Now, you see, Lucas, I agreed to move out when you agreed to take the job. Now, if you're not going to take the job, why would I move out?

Lucas: You know why I did that. 'Cause I want you to stay away from Sami.

E.J.: Oh. Are you really still afraid that I'm gonna make a move on Samantha?

Lucas: You touch her, man, you lay a finger on her, it'll be the last woman you ever touch again.

E.J.: Lucas, my flirtation with Samantha is in the past. You, young man, were married. She was available. Now she's not, and you are, okay? And I give you my word -- I'm not even gonna blink at her. I promise you.

Lucas: Well, that's a joke. You promise me? I don't believe a damn word that comes out of your mouth, and you have the nerve to promise me? Real nice. Slick.

E.J.: Really? You believe Samantha?

Lucas: What? What do you mean?

E.J.: I mean, Lucas, that she said there was nothing going on between the two of us. Are you saying you don't believe her?

Lucas: I am not worried about Sami being attracted to you, all right?

E.J.: Jolly good.

Lucas: Yeah, in fact, she wants you to rot in hell, now that we're talking about it.

E.J.: For the time being, you're both gonna have to put up with me being here in Salem. Now, Lucas, let's try and figure out exactly what the real reason is that you don't want to come and work for me. We've established it's not jealousy, which doesn't leave a tremendous number of options.

Lucas: It's pretty simple. It's the fact that you're a DiMera.

E.J.: You know, um... I hardly think that's very fair, Lucas. I think we both know what it's like to be the product of somewhat larger-than-life parents.

Lucas: What are you talking about? My mom is a hell of a businesswoman. She put Mythic on the map for you.

E.J.: Your mother's an extraordinary woman.

Lucas: Right, and your father's a crook.

E.J.: I'm not, no matter what the Salem Police may have said.

Lucas: When they accused you of murder? You mean that?

E.J.: I didn't shoot John Black, Lucas.

Lucas: I don't care. I don't care what you did. I don't want to work for you.

E.J.: I understand that. I'm trying to figure out why. Now, I don't think it has anything to do with Samantha, nor do I think it has anything to do with me being a DiMera and my father being Stefano. I think there's something here that's much deeper than that.

Lucas: What is it, Freud? What's your diagnosis?

E.J.: I just think you don't want to work for your mommy.

Kate: Well, if you don't grab the rights to this story, I'm sure some other show will.

Harry: Give us some time to think it over. We need to make sure that we haven't done anything similar too recently.

Sami: What, you mean you get stories like this all the time?

Harry: Bruce, when did we do that episode with the woman lifting the car off the kid?

Bruce: Oh, I'm not sure. Let me call the office.

Harry: Check on that.

Kate: Harry, I want the answer before the lunch is over, because there are other shows that have expressed interest.

Harry: You'll get it.

Sami: Other shows are interested?

Kate: Yes, remember? I told you that, Sami. Remember -- I told you that NBC called?

Sami: Oh, that's right.

Bruce: The woman lifting the car thing was over a year ago.

Harry: Excellent.

Kate: Ah, okay, great. So, do we have a deal?

Harry: We're getting closer, but I think we need one more thing from Sami.

Sami: What is it?

Harry: Take us to the cabin where you and Lucas were and show us exactly what happened.

Nick: Can I get you anything, Belle?

Chelsea: Nick, why don't you go get her some hot tea? There's some tea bags and hot water over there.

Nick: Okay. Hot tea.

Belle: What my dad used to get me when I was upset. I'm sorry. I don't know why I keep crying.

Chelsea: Belle, honestly, why wouldn't you cry? Really. I mean, you have a lot on your mind, between Claire, Philip, Shawn, and your dad.

Belle: Having my dad in a coma and knowing that he can't help me, it's like --

Chelsea: It feels like everyone turned off all their lights and the world's completely dark and nothing looks familiar and you have to try to find your way home.

Belle: How did you... oh, Chelsea, I'm sorry. The Bensons. I'm sorry.

Chelsea: They were the only mom and dad I ever had, but when they died... the bottom line is -- when you lose someone you love, it really sucks.

Belle: No kidding.

Chelsea: Look, Belle, I know that it probably feels like everything sucks right now, but you need to know that you have a whole family back home that's thinking of you -- I mean, your mom, my dad, Hope, Kayla, Steve. They're all just praying and hoping for your safety. And I know that somewhere, deep down, your dad is, too.

Belle: Thank you.

Nick: Here's your tea, madam.

Chelsea: Great, now he has an English accent.

Nick: Look, um, I was kind of eavesdropping, and Chelsea's absolutely right. Everybody is pulling for you. We're gonna get Shawn out of jail. We're gonna get you guys on that freighter. Everything's gonna be okay.

Belle: Unless Philip gets here first.

Chelsea: No, that's not gonna happen. Honestly, I don't think the airport security's gonna let him go anytime soon.

Belle: He's a Kiriakis. His father is incredibly powerful. He could walk through that door any minute.

Nick: If he does, then we'll figure out something else. We've made it this far. We're not gonna give up.

Chelsea: No way.

Merle: I got some news on your boy.

Belle: What?

Merle: His bail's been set at $8,600. It's crazy.

Nick: We can cover it.

Belle: We won't have enough money to get on the freighter.

Chelsea: Don't worry. The first priority is getting Shawn out of jail.

Belle: Did you get anything else -- any other news?

Merle: Just that he's had a couple weird visitors -- you know, a pretty boy and a spacey blond chick.

Belle: Oh, my God. It's Philip. He's here. Oh, my God.

Shawn D.: Unlike Willow, I can't be bribed, so save your bail money. I'm never gonna tell you where Belle and Claire are hiding.

Philip: You don't get it. Claire belongs to me.

Shawn D.: Because your daddy bought the judge?

Philip: I want my daughter. Where is she?

Willow: Do you want to get arrested for attempted murder?

Shawn D.: You used to be all about a fair fight.

Philip: Look where that got me. Belle used her miscarriage as an excuse to walk out with my kid.

Shawn D.: Yeah, you used it as an excuse because of the ruthless, lying scum that your father is.

Philip: Words, Shawn -- that's all you've got. I've got freedom and money. And while you're locked up, I'm gonna use both of them to find Belle and Claire.

Shawn D.: Good luck, 'cause they left Toronto last night.

Philip: Without you? Yeah, right.

Shawn D.: You may be a war hero on the battlefield, but all you are is a coward when it comes to Claire.

Philip: I was her father.

Shawn D.: Until you found out she was my daughter, and then you ran like hell, and now that you're back, look what you've done to her.

Philip: I'm her family, and very soon, the two of you are gonna know exactly how far I'm willing to go to get her back.

E.J.: Lucas, I do understand. Kate is not exactly your typical pie-baking soccer mom. She's a tough woman, so I do understand your hesitancy and want you to come and work for her.

Lucas: I have no hesitancy. I don't mind working with my mother.

E.J.: The silence was eloquent, Lucas.

Lucas: You know, how many times do I have to tell you? I just don't want to work with you. That's it.

E.J.: I push. I know I push. That's how I operate, but I want you to come and do the P.R. for Mythic.

Lucas: Why? Why? You got a company that's in trouble. You got plenty of cash to bail it out. You could hire anybody you want.

E.J.: True, and I need that position filled soon. Listen, before I go making more calls, let me make you one final offer. Lucas, listen to me. I'll give you your own office. I'll give you a staff. You hire them, you fire them, they'll report to you, and Kate and I will stay completely out of your way.

Lucas: No, I pass.

E.J.: You'd get the same salary as before, Lucas. I'll give you the same stock options. I'll give you the same bonuses.

Lucas: What did I just say? I said no. I'm not interested. Thank you.

E.J.: You don't think you're being a little bit selfish? You're not the only person in the world, Lucas. You and Samantha have mouths to feed.

Lucas: We have one mouth. That's it.

E.J.: Well, you never know what the future's gonna bring.

Lucas: There he is right now. Hey, mouth, how you doing?

Will: Aren't you supposed to be in jail?

Belle: I knew this was gonna happen. If Philip's come this far, he's gonna find us.

Chelsea: You don't know that, Belle.

Belle: I know Philip, okay? At least I know who he's become. He's just like his father. He's gonna get what he wants, and what he wants is my little girl.

Chelsea: No, he's not gonna get what he wants. We'll make sure of that.

Belle: Chelsea, with Shawn in jail, it could happen.

Nick: First things first. I'll go to the police station. I'll get Shawn. If Philip shows up, can you keep him out?

Merle: Dude, I, uh, stay out of domestic situations. They're hairy.

Belle: Claire's awake.

Chelsea: I'll keep Philip out.

Nick: What? You think you can do that? I mean, you're not exactly a heavyweight. You're kind of more like a teacup poodle.

Chelsea: I'm like a teacup poodle? Trust me. I'll be fine. My bite is much worse than my bark.

Nick: All right.

Belle: Chelsea, this is Stacy. Stacy, this is Shawn's sister. She came to help us.

Stacy: Wow, that's something. Belle, you're gonna be all right. You've got a family that watches out for each other.

Chelsea: You know, Stacey's right. We're family. And as long as we stick together, we can handle anything...even Philip.

We will return for the second half of "Days of our Lives" in just a moment.

Belle: You really think the two of us could handle Philip?

Chelsea: Yeah, I do. I mean, Nick and I got him arrested at the airport. I'm pretty sure that you and I could come up with something just as good.

Belle: You know, it's kind of funny. No offense, but you're the last person I thought I would ever be relying on, Chelsea, but...

Chelsea: You are. It's great. Sort of how I was with Nick.

Belle: Really? What do you mean? Thank you, baby.

Chelsea: I just always thought he was this mama's boy nerd who couldn't really do anything, but I was wrong. I mean, you should have seen him at that airport. When he slipped that knife into Philip's thing, he didn't even break a sweat. He was amazing.

Belle: Chelsea, you've both been amazing. Shawn's gonna be really proud of you.

Chelsea: That would be really nice.

Claire: [Coos]

Chelsea: But I don't think I can ever make things right with him.

Belle: Well, you made things right with me, and that will matter to him.

Chelsea: You think?

Belle: I know.

Chelsea: Well, while I'd love to sit here for hours, having you tell me how great I am, we should probably get you packed. You got to go as soon as they get back.

Belle: Yeah, okay. Well, I'll start packing. Here, you hold Claire.

Chelsea: Hey.

Philip: I just gave you your last chance to escape this mess. I will find Claire. And deep down... I think you know it.

Willow: Aw. Poor Shawn frustrated?

Shawn D.: You ever look in the mirror and wonder how you turned out the way you did... what you'd do for a dollar?

Philip: Just tell me where you found Shawn. I know Claire will be there.

Pete: It's over on Mason Street, but we swept the place. There's no child answering Claire's description there.

Philip: If you give me the address, I could look. I'd know what to look for. I got to find my daughter before Shawn Brady is released.

Pete: From what you've told me, I don't know who that child belongs to.

Philip: This order grants custody to Philip Kiriakis, me, which means Shawn Brady is guilty of kidnaping. Add that to his long list of charges.

Lucas: Will, it's not nice to ask people why they aren't in jail.

E.J.: No, it's quite all right, Lucas. It's because I wasn't guilty. But there was something that I was guilty of, and that was being rude to you on a couple of occasions, so I apologize for that. Lucas, would you mind if we continued our conversation later?

Lucas: No, it's fine. It's a good idea.

E.J.: Okay, thank you.

Will: All right. What do you and that sleazeball have to talk about anyway?

Lucas: Don't worry about it. He's trying to offer me a job at Mythic, but you know I can't work next to him.

Will: So you said no.

Lucas: That's right, son. I said no.

Will: Well, that's probably a good idea.

Lucas: Yeah.

Will: But, I mean, you got to work somewhere. I mean, especially with the new baby on the way.

Lucas: Easy, all right. We're gonna keep that a secret. Remember?

E.J.: Oh, sorry, Lucas. Will, I hope you don't mind. I was just wondering if maybe you would be interested in this. It's a Playstation 3.

Will: A Playstation 3?

E.J.: Yeah.

Will: Yeah. I guess I could use it. But if I really needed one, I'd ask my dad to get me one.

Sami: So you want me to re-enact my story on television.

Kate: Well, not personally, sweetie.

Harry: No, no, no. We would hire an actress.

Bruce: Our audience likes to see the big moments.

Harry: Yeah, you would be on location, telling your incredible story, and this actress would be acting it out.

Sami: Well, she better be gorgeous. Um, well, I'm really excited about it, and I can't wait to tell Lucas and Will.

Harry: Well, we'll be in touch. You'd better set up a shooting schedule. Oh, and someone from payroll will be getting in touch with you.

Sami: Payroll?

Harry: Yeah. We need to buy the rights to your story. You're gonna make some money on this, Sami.

Kate: It's true.

Sami: Yeah. Well, um, thank you, Kate, again, for doing this. I mean, this is very nice of you.

Kate: It was my pleasure. Really.

E.J.: This was just a Christmas gift from a grateful client.

Will: Well, it's okay. Like I said...

E.J.: Will, this is just gonna gather dust in my closet.

Lucas: My son said he didn't want it.

E.J.: He did, Lucas, but that's because he thinks that you disapprove.

Will: Hey, man, I can make up my own mind.

E.J.: You're right. I apologize.

Lucas: Good job.

Will: What? You can't just throw it away.

E.J.: I was, um, rude to your son. In fact, I was more than rude and on more than one occasion, Lucas. This is just my kind of clumsy way of trying to say that I'm sorry, so come on. Help me out here. Let me make up for my mistakes. Please.

Lucas: I guess it's not a big deal. Will, take it if you want it, all right?

Will: No, it's okay. I mean, I could always just fish it out of the trash when he leaves.

Lucas: You don't have to do that on my account.

Will: Thank you!

Lucas: Just take it.

Will: And thank you. Yes! Awesome.

E.J.: He's a good kid, Lucas. He's a good kid.

Lucas: Yeah, he is. Had a lot of craziness in his life, but he's turned out just fine.

E.J.: You and Samantha are good parents, you know? Why don't you have more kids?

Kate: Okay, so that is $80 for the tip.

Sami: Wow, 25%. That's generous. Um, Kate, thank you for being so generous with me and making this whole TV-show thing happen.

Kate: Look, Sami, I know that I have made some mistakes with you.

Sami: And I don't blame you entirely. I have been suspicious of you, too. I even questioned your motives setting up this TV-show thing. I thought maybe you were just trying to humiliate me.

Kate: You saved my son's life, and I guess that's what it took to make me finally realize that I have misjudged you.

Sami: Well, Kate, maybe we're more alike than either one of us has ever wanted to admit. Maybe that's why Lucas loves us so much and keeps giving us second chances.

Kate: Oh, God. Yeah. Maybe. I want you to know that I do regret trying so many times to make you look bad in his eyes.

Sami: Well, you're gonna make me look good in front of the entire country now.

Kate: Yeah, well, I guess that's my way of saying that I'm sorry.

Sami: It's okay, Kate. I mean, you haven't done anything that I didn't do. Um, I guess I should go tell Lucas.

Kate: So, are you gonna tell him about the TV show?

Sami: Yeah, I'm also gonna tell him that you and I have made peace. Bye.

Kate: Okay.

Philip: Come on, Willow. Come on. We're leaving. It's over.

Shawn D.: Yeah? Well, you don't know everything.

Philip: I know your friends won't get here in time. You can't stop me, Shawn.

Shawn D.: What do you mean? Stop you from what?

Philip: You'll find out, and when you do, it'll be too late.

Shawn D.: Oh, yeah, Philip. You're gonna go after a woman and her baby. Oh, that's brave of you, Philip. Come on. Come here, you coward. Get back here. Philip!

Philip: Take a cab to the hotel and wait for me to get there.

Willow: Where are you gonna be?

Philip: Getting Claire.

Willow: You know where?

Philip: I got a good idea.

Willow: I don't think the cops like you doing their job.

Philip: The cops will never know unless you tell them. And you wouldn't do anything that stupid, would you?

Willow: No, I won't say a word.

Nick: Yo.

Shawn D.: Nick?

Nick: We need to get you out of here fast.

Shawn D.: I can't make bail.

Nick: Steve and Kayla sent $10,000.

Shawn D.: Well, that's great, but my bail's $8,600. Even if I get out of here, we're not gonna get on the ship.

Nick: First things first. Let's just get you out of here.

Shawn D.: Have you seen Belle and Claire?

Nick: They're with Chelsea.

Shawn D.: Chelsea?!

Nick: Yeah, she volunteered to help bring the money. I'm just along for the ride.

Shawn D.: I just figured she's the last person that's gonna be helping me.

Nick: You don't know her that well, but she really put herself on the line for you guys, but we need to get you out of here.

Shawn D.: All right, Pete! Nick, I got to get out of here. Philip was just here, and he was asking questions about Belle and Claire, and then he walked out.

Nick: Me and Chelsea got him arrested at the airport. If he sees Chelsea... Pete! Hello?! Hello?! Pete!

Chelsea: Hey, you missing this little guy?

Belle: Sampson, I sure am glad we found you.

Chelsea: He was under the cot.

Belle: Well, I'm sure she's happy to have him. My dad gave it to Claire. No time for tears. Got to pack.

Chelsea: Yeah, you should probably hurry. Nick will be back with Shawn at any minute.

Belle: Yeah. We need to load up on stuff. We need diapers, we need food, and can you do me a favor?

Chelsea: Yeah, sure. Anything.

Belle: Can you take some of that money that Steve and Kayla sent and go buy Stacy's little girl some food and a snowsuit or something like that?

Chelsea: Okay.

Belle: What? What's wrong?

Chelsea: Nothing. It's just... a few days ago, I thought that the most important thing in the world was finding out who my mom slept with and finding out who my internet guy was.

Belle: There's nothing wrong with that.

Chelsea: Yeah, except it's completely selfish and shallow. I mean, Belle, you're just so giving and great to everyone. I get why you're like that with Claire, but that lady Stacy...

Belle: Chelsea, you and Nick came all the way to Toronto to bring us money. You've made Philip a lifelong enemy by stopping him from getting on that plane. That's not selfish or shallow.

Chelsea: Yeah, but what happens when I go back? I mean, am I gonna be the same, or will I be more like you?

Belle: Chelsea, I'm on the run with about $5 to my name. Why would you want to be like me?

Chelsea: Because... because everybody loves you, Belle.

Lucas: What business is it of yours if Sami and I have another child?

E.J.: Just looking out for my own interests, Lucas. If you have another mouth to feed, there'd be a better chance of you coming to work for me.

Lucas: Well, we only have one mouth to feed, and that's Will. You got it?

Sami: Lucas, you are not gonna believe what -- E.J.

E.J.: Samantha. It's lovely to see you. Let's finish this later, shall we, Lucas?

Lucas: Mm-hmm. What's up? What did you want to tell me?

Sami: Um...

Lucas: Are you okay?

Sami: Yeah, of course. I'm fine. I'm actually distracted 'cause of your mom.

Lucas: I told her to leave you alone.

Sami: No, she did. It's actually really good news. You're not gonna believe what your mom did. She talked these producers -- they have a show called "Heroes Among Us." They're actually gonna pay me. They want to buy the rights to my story about how I saved you that night. They're gonna put it on TV.

Lucas: Honey, that's great. You see that? Look at you. I'm so glad my mom stopped busting your chops. It's gonna be great. The whole world can see how you saved my life. That's awesome. 'Cause we are gonna need the money.

Sami: What do you mean? What about your job?

Lucas: I don't think that job's gonna work out. I can't work with E.J. like that. That guy even tried to play the family card on me -- said I'd need the income if we had another baby. I can't believe the nerve of that son of a bitch.

Harry: Sami sure took the bait in a hurry.

Kate: Yeah, she'd chew glass to be on TV.

Bruce: It's not gonna be cheap, though.

Kate: Well, I'm good for the money. Are you good for the job?

Harry: Absolutely. Just give us half up front, and project Sami begins.

Kate: It's the "finish" I'm interested in.

Kate: So, how fast can you make it happen?

Bruce: We already cleared the big hurdle.

Harry: Yeah, getting her to believe that I'm a producer and Bruce is a director.

Bruce: All we have to do now is get her to re-enact her daring rescue in front of the camera.

Kate: Yeah, and when she fails at that -- and she will -- then I'll expose her for the liar that she is.

Harry: You know, we're just a couple of P.I.'s, and it's really none of our business, but what is it about Sami that you hate so much?

Kate: You're right. It is none of your business. Because she's a lying skank who dug her nails into my son.

Sami: That was sort of random about E.J., right?

Lucas: Hmm?

Sami: Well, you know, him saying -- about us having more kids. You don't think he suspects, do you?

Lucas: I don't know. Maybe he's right, though.

Sami: About what?

Lucas: I might be being a little selfish right now -- not taking that job at Mythic. I mean, we can't afFord not to, Sami.

Sami: I know I said it was a good idea before, but --

Lucas: Well, it is a good idea. Bills are piling up. Got to pay insurance. Will's tuition.

Sami: No, look, Will can go to public school, okay? We could sell stuff on Ebay until you get a better job offer. We do not need to have E.J. in our lives.

E.J.: Sorry to interrupt. You really should lock this door, Lucas. Anyway, I was just wanting to invite you to our company retreat in Manhattan next week if you're interested. I want you to come along. I was hoping maybe it would help you make up your mind. You're welcome to come, too, Samantha, and please bring the kid.

Sami: What?

E.J.: Well, I mean, Will. What other kid is there, eh?

Shawn D.: Get me out of here, man.

Nick: I've got money for his bail.

Shawn D.: Come on. Time's up, man. Let me out.

Pete: There's a problem. That kid that was just here?

Shawn D.: Philip?

Pete: He's charging you with kidnaping.

Chelsea: Okay, Belle, I got all your bags by the door. Shawn and Nick are gonna be back any minute.

Belle: I don't know what I would have done without you. I don't know how I'll ever be able to repay you.

Chelsea: Don't worry about it.

Philip: Belle?! Open up! I want Claire! You hear me?!

Philip: You think this is about Shawn? There's only one person that I want to see suffer for the hell I've gone through and that's you, Belle.

Chelsea: We did it.

Nick: No, you did it.

Lucas: Stop! You're gonna hurt the baby!

Kate: Are you pregnant?
