Ridge: You know, I think Nick enjoys this connection with Brooke. I think he loves sharing a child with her.
Katie: No, no.
Ridge: I think Nick wants Brooke in his life for years to come.
Katie: (Sighs) Stop it, Katie. Just stop it. God.
Nick: Talking to yourself-- that's the first sign, they say.
Katie: Uh, the first sign of what?
Nick: Well, I don't know, but that's always what they say.
Katie: Oh, okay.
Nick: You're here. Sorry I wasn't here when you came in.
Katie: You were, actually. Uh, you were upstairs with Brooke and Jack.
Nick: I was?
Katie: Mm-hmm. I talked to Ridge. He told me about the custody agreement.
Nick: It's what she deserves if she's gonna be Jack's mother. She should have legal parental rights.
Katie: So Ridge was right. You did this for Brooke. Are you okay with it?
Eric: I think I have made myself very clear. I'm going into work today.
Dr. Patrick: And I see no reason to stop you.
Thorne: So he's fine?
Dr. Patrick: He's not 100% yet...
Eric: (Clears throat)
Dr. Patrick: But I'm pleased with his progress. You're a very determined man.
Eric: Well, I couldn't have done any of it without you, Doctor.
Dr. Patrick: Don't push yourself too hard.
Eric: I won't. Thank you, doctor.
Felicia: Daddy, we know you're anxious to get back out there. We just don't want you to overdo it.
Eric: I'm not running a marathon, Felicia. I'm just gonna spend some time behind my desk today. And like the doctor said, I'm a very determined man. And don't be calling your mother for backup, all right?
Eric: I'm a--I'm a grown man. I get to make my own decisions here, and my first order of business is to call my wife.
Thorne: You're calling Mom yourself?
Eric: Donna is my wife. Would you give me some privacy, please?
(Cell phone rings)
Eric: Donna, it's Eric.
Donna: Eric. Well, th--this-- this is a surprise. I-is everything okay?
Eric: I want to talk to you. I want you to come over to the house, right away if you can.
Donna: Well, yes, of--of course. I'll see you soon.
Bridget: Was that just-- was that Donna?
Brooke: (Sighs) She's been hiding out in her room these last few days. It'd be good for her to get out.
Bridget: Ohh. I'm glad I didn't move in. You would really feel like you were running a halfway house for lonely hearts.
Brooke: You know you're always welcome here.
Bridget: Mm. Thanks.
Brooke: So tell me, how are you doing?
Bridget: You know, I kind of feel like I dodged a bullet. I-I just-- I wish I'd figured this out before we got married, but it's better now than five years from now.
Brooke: Well, that's a pragmatic way of looking at it.
Bridget: I don't know how else I can look at it, Mom. I just bought into the situation where I thought circumstances kept us apart and fate brought us back together, and that was a really beautiful story, which is exactly why I wanted Katie to marry us, so she could be a part of all that. That stuff still really hurts, but I guess I'm just relieved. You know, it's over, and there's no more fairy tales, no more illusions.
Brooke: (Sighs) Oh, honey.
Ridge: Everything all right here?
Bridget: (Giggles) Hey. Yeah, things are good. Mom just asked me to move in.
Bridget: What do you think of that?
Ridge: Well, I think you should just tell me where you want to put the bags.
Bridget: Oh, Ridge, I'm just kidding.
Ridge: I'm not. We'd love to see more of you around here, kiddo.
Bridget: Thank you. (Chuckles) thanks, guys. I love you both so much. I feel really blessed to know that I can depend on you.
Brooke: Honey, I'm your mother. I'll always be here for you.
Nick: Brooke and Jack-- they need each other.
Katie: Well, that may be true, but I'm talking about you. Are you really okay with Jack being part of Ridge's family?
Nick: Well, I trust Brooke. I know that that boy is gonna be raised with a lot of love. She'll make sure of that. Hey, everything's gonna be fine. Brooke and I are in this together.
Katie: Right. Parents. Bonded for life.
Nick: Well, Brooke was always gonna be involved in Jack's life. I'm just making it official now. The genetic bond has been there from the beginning.
Katie: Yeah, I-- do you think that's why Taylor couldn't bond with Jack?
Nick: Well, I can't really say if it made a difference for Jack. I know it made a difference for Taylor.
Katie: I just can't believe it. I can't believe that she would give him up, I mean, to Brooke of all people.
Nick: It's the right thing, it really is. It never ceases to amaze me what a mother's capable of doing for her child.
Nick: You okay?
Katie: Yeah, I just, uh... (chuckles) I-I guess it's just not how I pictured it, you know? I-I thought you and I would be together, and I had this image in my head of what our family would look like-- you and me and the kids and Taylor and Rick even hanging out on the boat down at the beach-- one big family.
Nick: We're gonna be a family, one big crazy, weird family.
Katie: With my sister. (Laughs)
Felicia: Mom, did you hear what I said? Dad just called Donna to come over to the house.
Thorne: She's going to be here any minute.
Felicia: You know what? Go up there. Talk to him. I'm gonna call security.
Stephanie: No, no, don't do that. We're not going to do anything like that. (Knock on door)
Donna: Eric called me.
Stephanie: Yes, I know. He's up in the bedroom. Please, come on in. Go on up and see him.
Felicia: What are you doing?
Stephanie: What your father wants.
Thorne: Do you know why he called her? Did he tell you?
Felicia: This could be Donna's last chance to hold onto our father. You're just gonna stand by and let that happen?
(Knock on door)
Eric: Come in.
Donna: My God, look at you.
Eric: I'm going into the office today. Doctor says I'm ready.
Donna: So it's happening just like I always believed it would.
Eric: I f--I feel like I'm coming out of a fog, really. It's just, uh... beginning to see things more clearly. (Door closes)
Donna: Is that why you called?
Donna: I knew you couldn't forget what we meant to each other. My God, I haven't forgotten, Eric. You're all I've-- I've thought about for months. You're all I think about.
Eric: I was thinking about you, too.
Brooke: You've been quiet since Bridget left.
Ridge: Just thinking.
Brooke: About the situation with Jack?
Ridge: About Nick. Didn't it surprise you how quickly he agreed to custody?
Brooke: He did it for Jack.
Ridge: Jack will benefit. That's not the only reason Nick said yes.
Brooke: Are you having second thoughts?
Ridge: Logan, if this is gonna work, I think we just have to be real honest with each other, with our feelings, our concerns.
Brooke: I thought we went over all of that. Legal custody was your idea.
Ridge: Yeah, to protect you, because I knew that's what you needed. I need something, too.
Ridge: Well, for lack of a better word, I guess, yeah, that's exactly what I need.
Eric: I've been thinking about, uh, the things you said to me the last time you were here. Stephanie should not-- Stephanie should not have dragged-- dragged you out of here the way she did.
Donna: Well, she could see that I was getting to you. She didn't want you to hear my side of the story.
Eric: Doctor told me how much you stayed close to me, how much time you spent with me in the hospital.
Donna: Oh, Eric, I would have been there every minute if I could have.
Eric: But you had other things you had to take care of.
Donna: Well, yes, the--the house, the business. But I was doing it all for you.
Eric: My loving, devoted wife.
Eric: There's something I want to show you. You've probably seen it already, but, uh, I want you to take a look at the-- you look like you're having a good time.
Donna: It--it wasn't my idea to go. Your family insisted and--and suggested that I take Owen or--
Eric: You see the caption there? Did you read the caption? "Mrs. Eric Forrester-- Mrs. Eric Forrester does the city of lights with the new man in her life."
Donna: Oh, Eric. Eric, it's just gossip.
Eric: It's insulting, and it's demeaning.
Donna: (Sighs) What you--what you saw-- it wa-- it wasn't what it looked like.
Eric: You-- you were kissing him.
Donna: But that's-- that's as far as it went.
Eric: That's too far, too far, in my house with another man. You betrayed me. You betrayed me, Donna.
Ridge: I saw something when you and Nick were talking about Jack, raising your child together.
Brooke: It was an emotional moment.
Ridge: For both of you. That was obvious.
Brooke: I know it can't be easy for you to see us together and the connection that we have, so... (sighs) I'm gonna try and be a little more sensitive.
Ridge: I'm not jealous. I-I'm just trying to address an issue that I think we have to be aware of, a little preventative medicine.
Brooke: Nick is never going to be a problem.
Ridge: He better not be.
Brooke: You're never gonna regret this. I promise you that. (Sighs) I am yours forever and ever.
Ridge: You care to put that in writing?
Brooke: (Laughs) Well, I could declare my love for you in front of God and everybody we know.
Ridge: Oh, I could deal with that. I can deal with that.
Ridge: Oh, I have something to show you.
Ridge: This is for little hope, your lovely maid of honor.
Brooke: Oh! That is so precious.
Ridge: And this one is for R.J...
Ridge: My best man.
Brooke: Look at that.
Ridge: How's that for a little best man garb, huh?
Ridge: This will be for our new little Jack.
Brooke: Oh, my God.
Brooke: That is so perfect. Oh.
Ridge: And I think our little ring bearer Jack will need this.
Brooke: Aw, that's a nice little pillow.
Brooke: Oh, wait. There's something stuck on the bottom of-- (Gasps)
Ridge: Oh, wait, wait, wait. That doesn't go there, no.
Brooke: Oh! Oh. Oh, my God. That is-- it's--it's beautiful.
Ridge: Do you like it?
Brooke: Yes, yes. I-I love it. I-I-I-- I've never seen anything like this. It-- oh, Ridge, I-I don't need this.
Ridge: Yeah, you do. Yeah, I think you actually do. Logan, tell me you want to be my wife again.
Ridge: I want to hear it.
Brooke: (Giggles) Yes. Yes, yes, yes. I-- (sighs) I want to be your wife... again... (laughs) and forever.
Brooke: Oh. Oh. (Moans) oh, Ridge.
Ridge: Oh, Logan.
Donna: I let you down. I gave into my fear and my loneliness, but I was still committed to you.
Eric: No, not committed enough.
Donna: Just let me explain.
Eric: I don't need an explanation, Donna. I get it. Everybody gets it.
Eric: The one thing I said I would not tolerate was infidelity.
Donna: I-I wasn't.
Eric: Listen, there's all kinds of infidelity. Donna, there's-- there's emotional infidelity. There's psychological infidelity. And how you could let yourself get wrapped up in this guy and--and let him believe that--that he could make moves on you and that--that there might be a chance for him--
Donna: No, Eric, no, no. My God. No, I told him. Eric, I-I told him that--that I love you, only you.
Eric: Did you tell him that when you were in bed with him? Before you got in bed with him? After? When?
Donna: (Scoffs) I let you--I let you down, but I didn't give him my heart. That has been yours. It's always been yours. You're the only thing that's ever even mattered to me, Eric. You're the only thing in my life that's even made sense. That's why I was so lost without you.
Donna: Please, er-- please, just listen, just listen to me.
Eric: I've been listening to you. I've been listening to you and--and to my family and to Stephanie, and I've-- I've heard all of you, and that's-- that's why I've made this decision now.
Donna: What--what are you gonna-- what are you gonna do? You-- you're gonna leave me? You're gonna go back to Stephanie? Tell me. Tell me. I can't take this. Tell me what you're going to do.
