Nick: Where have you been, woman?
Bridget: Well, it's a secret.
Nick: Married people aren't supposed to have secrets.
Bridget: We're not exactly married yet, remember?
Nick: Well, it's today. You realize that, don't you?
Bridget: I know. Mwah.
Nick: And you are cutting it a bit close, aren't ya?
Bridget: Am I? Oh, my God! Oh, my God. I'm running so late. I've gotta hurry.
Nick: We probably won't start without ya.
Bridget: Oh, really? Thanks.
Nick: I don't think s-- I don't think we will.
Beth: Stephen, really, just listen to me.
Stephen: No, now, Beth, please, relax, okay?
Stephen: Katie has planned a very wonderful ceremony for Nick and Bridget. They don't expect you to make a big speech...
Stephen: Or to recount your granddaughter's history.
Beth: I just don't want to be a distraction, especially today.
Stephen: Beth, I am the one who will be distracted by you during this day. But once the bride comes down the aisle, all other eyes will be on the beautiful bride, okay?
Beth: All right.
Stephen: So just relax...
Stephen: Okay? Oh, th--there's Marcus. Marcus?
Stephen: Marcus, come here. Hi.
Stephen: Look at you.
Beth: You look so handsome.
Marcus: Thank you. You two both really look happy.
Stephen: Yes, we are. Thank you.
Beth: And one of the reasons is because you're here.
Bridget: Oh, hi. I am running so late.
Katie: No, no, you're not.
Bridget: I have got so much to do.
Katie: You're right on time. Take a breath.
Katie: It's the day you've been waiting for. It's here. It's finally here.
Nick: Comin', comin'. Didn't mean to scare ya. Hey.
Nick: Everybody's down in the garden.
Brooke: Where's Bridget?
Nick: She's upstairs gettin' ready.
Brooke: With Katie?
Brooke: And how is she?
Nick: Uh, I'd say she's over the moon.
Brooke: And Katie? Well, I know planning a wedding can be kind of stressful, and I wasn't sure how she was gonna handle it so soon after the surgery.
Nick: No, I think she's doing great.
Brooke: Good. (Exhales)
Brooke: This is a labor of love for her, Nick. Bridget's very important to her.
Brooke: Hi, honey. I passed Katie in the hall. She seemed really excited.
Bridget: Oh, she would be even more excited if she knew what I had planned.
Brooke: Oh, what's that?
Bridget: Well, it's a surprise.
Brooke: Well, I have a surprise for you. Mm-hmm?
Bridget: Oh, Great-grandma's pearls.
Brooke: Yes. You used to always want to wear them when you were a little girl.
Bridget: I know-- when I would play dress-up. And you would get so mad at me.
Brooke: And you'd put on that white nightgown, and you'd barrette a scarf into your hair.
Bridget: Yeah, but I could never be a real bride until I had the pearls on. (Gasps) Mom...
Brooke: Congratulations, sweetheart. No bride is more beautiful or more deserving of this happiness.
Jackie: Oh, that's enough of me, I assure you.
Man: Thank you, Mrs. Marone.
Jackie: Thank you. Digital--marvelous. (Laughs) oh. (Exhales)
Donna: Who would have imagined? We were friends once. Now we're practically related.
Jackie: Practically? No, no. Literally.
Donna: Well, not yet. Not if Nick comes to his senses.
Jackie: My son adores Bridget.
Donna: Yes, but he's in love with Katie.
Donna: Look, Jackie, you're more in tune with Nick than anyone. You've seen them together. Are you going to deny that they have feelings for each other?
Jackie: He says his future is with Bridget, all right?
Donna: Yes, and that's what Katie says, too. But I can't help wondering if we get them in a room together...
Jackie: They can't. (Sighs) I mean, there may have been a time it might have made a difference, but it's too late now. And if you are even thinking of interfering in this wedding, Mrs. Forrester, don't. (Exhales) (sighs)
Beth: (Laughs) Oh, hi, honey.
Beth: You look so beautiful.
Brooke: I can't tell you what it means to have you here.
Marcus: Hi, Mom.
Brooke: And you, too, Marcus. And not just for Bridget, but for all of us.
Marcus: It means a lot to me, too.
Beth: Well, I can't tell you how happy I am to see you all so happy.
Rick: Hi... Mom, Grandma.
Brooke: Hi, honey.
Rick: Marcus, how you doing?
Marcus: Hey, Rick.
Donna: Could you excuse us just for a moment?
Taylor: Beth, it--it's so good to see you. You look so beautiful.
Beth: Oh, thank you, Taylor. You, too.
Taylor: I know your family's very excited. This is a very happy occasion.
Beth: Yes, it certainly is.
Brooke: Bridget wanted it to be very intimate.
Taylor: I know--family. I was invited, Brooke. I was invited by Bridget. She wanted to have Jack here, and, of course, he would be coming with his mother.
Beth: (Clears throat)
Brooke: (Sighs) Well, Katie's thought of everything.
Jackie: (Laughs) Yes. Hasn't she done a wonderful job with the garden?
Jackie: It's beautiful. She's got a career as a wedding planner. Any chance she's going to be planning your wedding?
Taylor: Oh, we haven't set a date. (Laughs)
Rick: But soon, very soon.
Brooke: Uh, could you excuse us?
Stephen: Nick, listen, I want to thank you for lettin' me be a part of this ceremony. It--it means a lot to me.
Nick: Well, it means a lot that you're here. It's important. It's important that you brought your family together like this.
Stephen: Well, you're the reason it all happened, bringing Beth back the way you did. You know, you and Bridget have a lot in common-- your compassion, your generosity, which I have to admit was not my first impression of you.
Stephen: But after seeing you and Bridget together and--and you with Katie, it's very apparent and impressive.
Nick: Well, thank you very much. Make me feel so good. But I'm not gonna take all the credit. Those Logan women have had a little impact on me.
Nick: Will you help me with this tie, please? I--
Stephen: Somebody should.
Nick: Thank you.
Stephen: Yeah. Hang on.
(knock on door)
Bridget: Oh, Rick. Hey.
Rick: Hey. Do you have some time for your brother on your wedding day?
Bridget: Oh, of course I do.
Bridget: I'm so glad you're here.
Rick: It's your wedding day. Where else would I be? I'm so thrilled that it's finally happening for you.
Rick: I mean, I know how much you've always loved Nick. And you're getting a second chance with him, and I just couldn't be happier for you.
Bridget: Thank you. It's really gonna work this time. There's nothing standing in our way.
Bridget: I'm so glad you're here for me.
Katie: Oh, sorry.
Bridget: (Sniffles) (laughs)
Rick: Oh, no, I was just leaving, actually. I'll--I'll let you two get ready. See ya.
Bridget: Bye. (Inhales) Oh, my gosh.
Katie: Oh, I hope those are happy tears.
Bridget: It's just-- no, they are. It's just-- I feel like I need to redo my makeup now. It's just--
Katie: Oh, yeah, they smudge as--as much as the bad ones do. Here, let me help you out. (Laughs)
Bridget: Thank you.
Katie: Here you go.
Bridget: (Sighs) Katie...
Bridget: You mean so much to me. You know that you're-- you're the reason that today is happening.
Bridget: You are. And that's why I have something-- something special planned. It's a wonderful surprise for Nick. And I-I think it could really work, but I'm gonna need you to go along with it.
Katie: (Laughs) I can't stand these spots.
Nick: Well, I know you're not lost. You know your way around the place.
Brooke: Oh, uh, just needed a moment to myself. That's all.
Nick: Ah. You have those mother-of-the-bride jitters going?
Brooke: None. And you?
Nick: No, no. I'm actually more worried about this tie than I am the wedding.
Brooke: (Laughs) I can see that. (Clears throat) so... you're sure about this, huh? You know, I honestly don't have any questions or doubts about your commitment to my daughter. Not anymore. I just want my daughter to be happy. You know that.
Nick: I--she will be happy. You have my word.
Bridget: Katie, my goodness. You look so hot.
Katie: Thanks. Now no crying. I don't want to have to put you back together again. You'll run your eyes.
Bridget: Oh, I don't care. I don't care about that.
Katie: Well, I do.
Bridget: Okay, before we go on to anything else, I-I want to talk to you about something. So please just--just--just sit down. Sit down. Sit. Sit, please.
Katie: Uh, is this about your big surprise?
Bridget: Well, gosh, I didn't mean to make you feel like you had one more obligation. I know you've already done so much for me. So it's not like that.
Katie: But it won't happen unless I agree?
Bridget: Right. It is up to you. It will be your decision in the end. But I do hope you'll agree. The justice of the peace isn't coming here today to marry me. He's coming for you.
Katie: For me? What are you talking about? (Laughs)
Bridget: Well, you've been so instrumental in bringing me and Nick back together. I--this is as much your day as it is mine.
Katie: Bridget, I had a small part in bringing you and Nick together. This is not my day.
Bridget: I want it to be.
Katie: I-I'm a little clueless. I-I don't know what you're talking about. What's going on here?
Bridget: Well, just let me explain. We talked a lot--a lot the last few weeks about what you've experienced and about you and Nick, how you feel about him and how he feels about you, the bond you have. And you've been very, very honest with me about your feelings, which I respect. But more importantly, I have heard you.
Katie: I don't know what you're suggesting, but for you to even consider--
Bridget: Will you just listen to me, please? I love you so much. I want you up at that altar. I know, it's a little scary. Believe me, I know. It--it's scary to stand up there, but in the end, it's what you want. And I believe that Nick is gonna be thrilled about it, too.
Katie: You've discussed this with Nick?
Bridget: Well, no. I told you I want it to be a surprise.
Katie: Bridget, don't you think he might be a little confused when he sees me up there at the altar?
Bridget: You were always gonna be up there, Katie. You know that. You're the maid of honor. Of course you are. It's just you're gonna be front and center now.
Katie: (Laughs nervously) (knock on door)
Bridget: Oh, let me go get that. Hi. It's good to see you again. C-come on in. This is my Aunt Katie. And Katie, this is Mr. Morton, the justice of the peace.
Mr. Morton: It's a pleasure.
Mr. Morton: Now I've spoken to your niece. Now both of you understand this is very unconventional. But in light of what the three of you have experienced together, it seems appropriate.
Bridget: Only if you want to do it, but you don't have to say yes.
Mr. Morton: Now the process only takes a few moments. All the papers are on file. We have a witness.
Katie: (Laughs) Uh, uh, papers?
Mr. Morton: Allowing me to deputize you so that today you can legally be the one to marry Nick and Bridget.
Bridget: You mentioned it in passing, and it just stuck in my head. You said you'd perform the ceremony if you could. So I thought I just want to make this wish come true. But you know, it--it's only if you still want to do that. If you don't want to, Mr. Morton is here. He can perform the ceremony, or he could deputize you, and you can be the one to marry Nick and me.
Brooke: Where's the justice of the peace? Mom said she saw him a little while ago.
Stephen: They're starting? Already?
Katie: I can do this. I can do this. (Wedding march playing)
Nick: Honey, we don't have a justice of the peace.
Bridget: Yes, we do. He's--he's right over there.
Bridget: But he's not the one that's gonna marry us. Katie is.
Katie: (Laughs nervously) (indistinct conversations)
Katie: Oh, um--
Katie: Huh. So as Bridget said, um, I will be officiating the ceremony. Slight change of plans. And don't worry. It's all perfectly legal. I was, um, uh, deputized by the justice of the peace. So it's--it's all fine. I am deeply, deeply honored to be sharing this incredible moment with these two incredible people. (Sighs) so here it goes. (Laughs) welcome, friends and family. We are gathered today to witness the marriage of Dominick Marone and Bridget Forrester. We are here to support them and applaud their commitment to each other. Marriage is a joyous occasion, by which our society grows and changes... (sniffles) and renews itself. Once joined together in everlasting unity, Bridget and Dominick...
Katie: I'm so-- I'm sorry. I can't do this. (Sniffles)
Brooke: What is happening?
Katie: I can't, um-- (sniffles) this is wrong. I-I-it's not right. It-- you all seem to think you know how I feel about these two, but I don't think I really knew until I was standing up here in front of them, watching them commit their lives to each other. There's something I need to say. This wedding can't go on until you know how I really feel. See?
