Stephanie: You're not still upset about that little peck?

Eric: Then I come into your office, this guy's all over you like a cheap suit. And you tell me all you're doing is thanking him? It meant nothing. I kissed Massimo, period. Brooke is out of our lives, and I think he deserves all the credit. So please, don't be negative.

Eric: What happens when Brooke realizes this whole thing is a scam? That her father isn't ill what happen then?

Stephanie: By then, she'll have slept with half a dozen Frenchmen. It won't matter anymore. But I don't want to. We've got more important things to discuss, namely Kristen and Tony. She told me today that he's HIV positive. I mean, she's just devastated.

Eric: I know she is, and I'm sorry. But she does seem to be pulling out of it.

Stephanie: Well, I think they're both better off

Eric: Yeah, separately, on their own.

Stephanie: She told me that don't to see ore.

Eric: I d. Kristen is to stay away from Tony. Stephanie, our daughter's life is at stake here don't be melodramatic about this, Eric.

Eric: Tony has a disease that spreads by sexual contact.

Stephanie: And Kristen is an adult. That's a fact.

Stephanie: Your not going to fight me on this, are you Eric?

Stephanie: Eric, you've gotta let it go. She's not daddy's little girl anymore. You can't control her.

Eric: I'm not going to let risk her life. One careless moment all that it would take. You and I know that better than anyone.

Stephanie: Where you talking about

Eric: Talking about you me, back in college. The first time you and I gave into passion, the first time you and I made love, you got pregnant with Ridge. I'm not gonna change my mind about this, if that's what you're hoping.

Stephanie: I'm hoping that you'll come and be reasonable. Kristen is an adult, and a levelheaded one at that. As far I can see, Tony adores her.

Eric: The answer is no! Kristen is not to see Tony and that's final.

Clarke: How about a drink?

Kristen: Well, I could definitely us one. This been one crummy day.

Clarke: Tony called?

Kristen: No, actually, I ca him, for all the good it did me.

Clarke: sweetheart, you can't do that to yourself.

Kristen: I can't just forget about him, Clarke.

Clarke: Well, he's forgotten about you. He's very into his work.

Kristen: Oh, well, thank you. That's exactly what I needed to h

Clarke: Honey, I don't wanna hurt you, but you've to get real here. With his life you've got to do the same with yours.

Kristen: He needs me.

Clarke: He needs his medication. He needs a support group. He's fighting the fight of his life, but you can't help him. Or maybe you can -- by showing him you're fine, that you have moved on, that he has nothing to worry about.

Kristen: Clarke, I don't . I'm just -- I am so confused.

Clarke: Hey, let me help you with step one tonight, okay?  Excuse me? Can we have a couple margaritas over here?

Waiter: Blended or on the rocks?

Clarke: Blended would be splendid. Oh, yeah.

Deacon: How'd he react?

Amber: What are you doing ?

Deacon: I followed you, alright?

Amber: Well then, you know my husband's coming back.

Deacon: I'll be gone by the time he gets back. Amber, did you give him the news?

Amber: He was thrilled.

Deacon: He better be, lucky bastard.

Amber: Deacon, I'm pregnant. There's nothing more to be said about it.

Deacon: I know, I know, all right.

Amber: Then why are you here? You should be home with Bridget.

Deacon: This is really easy for you, isn't it?

Amber: What?

Deacon: Just giving up? Going on with your new life with little Ricky and the baby. 'Cause of me. As a matter of fact, it's -- it's kind of impossible. And I really don't know what to do.

Amber: You know this isn't easy. I'm carrying my husband's baby inside of me, and I can't think anything more.

Deacon: Yeah, but, you know, you gotta find the right nursery school, don't ya? You never start too early with that sort of thing. En you got -- ? Baby showers, birthday parties, clowns, and balloon sat sort of thing.

Amber: Why are you doing this to me?

Deacon: I've never been very good with this kind of stuff.

Amber: What kind of stuff?

Deacon: Pain. Physical pain -- it's nothing to but this is ripping my guts out.

Amber: You have to forget.

Deacon: Yeah, but I've never been too good at that, either.

Amber: I don't know what to say.

Deacon: See that's the tough part. There isn't anything for you to say. I mean, I know what I wish you could tell me. I wish that you could just look at me and you say, "you hang on. Keep believing." 'Cause baby or no baby, it's not gonna change the way we think about each other, the way we feel.

Amber: But it does. It does, Deacon. If there was an answer, any answer, that I could keep you in my life, I would grab it. But you were right. You were right. This baby changes everything.

Deacon: Could you just tell me what to do? Please, 'cause I don't know how to go on.

Amber: Well, you -- you have Bridget.

Deacon: Yeah. Yeah, I got Bridget. I have you. And you are all that I think about. This is ridiculous, man. Whew! I gotta do something about this.

Amber: Where you going?

Deacon: I'm going home. Going home to my wife.

Kristen: Well, how about we order some food, because that Margarita is starting to go to my head.

Clarke: It's the best Mexican food town.

Kristen: Well, according to -- according to Tony, there's place on Alameda Street that's better. Will you excuse me, Clarke?

Clarke: Damn that guy. I don't believe it. I guess it's a coincidence.

Tony: What's that?

Clarke: Of all the joints in L.A., You wander into this one.

Tony: Actually, it's not. I'm here precisely because you're here.

Clarke: And you can leave, precisely because I told you.

Tony: I don't think Clarke.

Clarke: Do yourself a favor, and take it someplace else.

Tony: Do I threaten you, Clarke?

Clarke: You have HIV. You threaten everyone.

Tony: You are such a bastard, and you're so ignorant, you don't even know.

Clarke: You're the ignorant and reckless one who got the disease. I'm not gonna let you infect Kristen with it. I'm gonna keep her far away from you.

Tony: You don't have to. I've already done that.

Clarke: Yeah, is that why you're here?

Tony: I'm here to make sure that she's okay.

Clarke: I'll take care of that.

Tony: You are more of a threat to Kristen than I am.

Clarke: Yeah, how's that?

Tony: 'Cause stupidity' a dangerous thing, Clarke.

Clarke: Tony, you should get something straight. You're not like the rest of the world. You're different; so don't go around acting like you're normal because you're not. You're a walking time bomb, and one of theses, you gonna wake up with AIDS.

Kristen: Clarke?! How could you say those things?

Clarke: Kristen, you're back

Kristen: Tony, what are you doing here?

Tony: I had to see you. I probably shouldn't have. I'm sorry.

Kristen: No.

Clarke: Kristen, let him leave.

Kristen: I think should be the one to leave, Clarke.

Clarke: Kristen?!

Kristen: I'm sorry, but I need to be with Tony tonight.

Tony: Let's get out of here.

Stephanie: Eric, I love Kristen as much as you do. But, honey, you can't live your children's lives for them. Look, we've raised her well. You've got to just trust her intelligence and her good sense.

Eric: And when passion and emotion are involved, you still want to count on intelligence and good sense?

Stephanie: Yes.

Eric: Not me. Not where my daughter's concerned.

Stephanie: You're underestimating her, and you're showing her no respect.

Eric: Well then, let me err on the side of caution.

Stephanie: You're going to alienate her.

Eric: I'm gonna save her life. What are you -- do you know something I don't know?

Stephanie: Like what? She's out on a date. That's all I know.

Eric: A date? With whom?

Stephanie: With Clarke.

Eric: Well, I encouraged her to go out with him, but she can do so much better.

Stephanie: Well, I think she'd like to do better, but you've taken it into your head to forbid that.

Bridget: Hi, honey. How are you? Whoa. Wow! What are you looking for?

Deacon: Your birth control pills. Where are they?

Bridget: My birth control pills?

Deacon: Here they are.

Bridget: Honey, what are you doing?

Deacon: You're not gonna be needing these anymore.

Bridget: Huh?

Deacon: We're gonna make a baby tonight.

Bridget: Deacon, what is going on?

Deacon: You're my wife. I wanna have a baby with you.

Bridget: You already have a baby.

Deacon: We don't have a baby.

Bridget: What has gotten -- -- into you?

Deacon: Bridget, listen to me. I am ready for this. I am really, really ready for this.

Kristen: So, tell me how it is that you wound up at Las Ollas.

Tony: I just went in there for a drink.

Kristen: So it was a coincidence?

Tony: No. Actually, I followed you and Clarke there.

Kristen: Why would you do that?

Tony: I don't know. It was stupid.

Kristen: Yeah, especially sit was you that I wanted to go out with tonight.

Tony: Yeah, and then I turned you down. But then --

Kristen: Then what?

Tony: I didn't want you to go out with Clarke. Or anybody else.

Kristen: The old "I don't want her, but I don't want anyone else to have her, either"?

Tony: I'm acting like an adolescent, I know.

Kristen: No, you're acting like a man who's in love but won't admit it.

Tony: No, I'm in love, and I will admit it. But I'm afraid.

Kristen: You don't have to be afraid.

Tony: You don't realize how powerfully attracted I am to you. Do you?

Kristen: And it frightens you.

Tony: Frightens me? It scares the hell out of me, Kristen. I think about you every day, every night, how I would wanna touch you, how I'd wanna be alone with you, how I'd want you next to me. And then I think about how deadly it would be if I indulged myself in those feelings. Deadly for you.

Kristen: Do you know what your problem is?

Tony: What?

Kristen: You're a chauvinist and a control freak. See, you think you're calling all the shots, but let me tell you something. I'm calling the shots here.

Tony: Really?

Kristen: Yeah. And let me tell you something, Antonio Dominguez. Maybe for the first time in your life you are with a woman who never says yes when she means no.

Tony: You don't ever want to say yes to me, Kristen. Ever.

Kristen: I'll decide that. Not you. And I'll also decide when I say no. And when I do, I'll mean it.

Tony: What are you doing?

Kristen: What I've wanted to do for a very long time.

Tony: No, Kristen, we can't.

Kristen: You can't -- but I can.

Eric: Stephanie, there's nothing more to be said. Now, Kristen stays away from Tony Dominguez. She's not to go anywhere near him. That's not negotiable!

Stephanie: Oh, you're just gonna lay down the law?

Eric: Yes, and I have. And I'll enforce it, too, if I have to.

Stephanie: No. [Knock at the door]

Eric: I'll get this. Clarke?

Clarke: Hello, Eric.

Eric: I thought you were on a date with Kristen.

Clarke: I was. That's what I want to talk to you about.

Stephanie: Hello, Clarke. Where's Kristen?

Clarke: She's with Antonio Dominguez.

Eric: With Tony?!

Clarke: Yes, he interrupted our date. Kristen left the restaurant with him.

Eric: Where did they go?

Clarke: My guess is to his place. We both know what that means. Yeah, trouble. I don't need to spell it out for you. I know you told Tony to back off, but he just won't do it. Eric, you've gotta stop them once and for all. Kristen's life depends on it!
