Kristen: I thought he was going to propose. It never occurred to me, you know, that he was going to tell me he had HIV.

Taylor: I know. I know. I mean, how could you ever think it would be something like that?

Kristen: Well, you could have said something.

Taylor: I was going to, believe me. But it really is Tony's responsibility to tell you that. And he promised me that he would never put you in danger and that he would protect you.

Kristen: He's always thinking about me. He's always worried about --

Taylor: I know.

Kristen: This is so unfair. He was the man I was supposed to spend my life with. From the first minute, I thought that. He feels the same way about me.

Taylor: Yes, he does.

Kristen: Then why is this happening?

Taylor: Oh, Kristen, I don't have an answer for you on that, I mean, any more than I can explain why death happens to innocent children. I mean, bad things happen to good people. It doesn't make sense. It's just the way the world works.

Kristen: That's supposed to make me feel better?

Taylor: I don't suppose anything could do that right now.

Kristen: Where is Tony? He's supposed to be here, right?

Taylor: I went down to get Dr. Craig.

Kristen: Who is Dr. Craig?

Taylor: A friend of mine. He -- he's going to be giving you an HIV test.

Kristen: Why -- why do I need to do that?

Taylor: I suggested it. Because I really don't know how far the two of you have gone physically.

Kristen: Taylor, we haven't gone that far. We haven't had sex.

Taylor: Well, what does that mean? You know --

Kristen: I would rather not go into the details. I would rather just take the test. That way Tony can focus on himself. He's talking about his life being over.

Taylor: It's not over. But it will be very different than the way he planned.

Kristen: Yeah. And so will mine. Oh, our life together... I could see it. I can't believe it's not going to happen.

Taylor: Is that what you decided?

Kristen: I didn't decide anything. Tony decided before he even talked to me.

Taylor: Listen, I think the two of you are both still in shock. Maybe you shouldn't be making such big decisions right now about your future.

Kristen: What future? I feel like it's been taken away from us.

This one's my favorite one.

Yeah? Well, he signed it.

Yeah? I wish I could have been there, you know.

Ridge: You missed a great game, dad. Hey, you want to show him your -- your collection, the rest of it? Go ahead.

Eric: What, there's more?

Ridge: Yeah. Go get it for him.

Eric: Where's Taylor?

Ridge: She's at work.

Eric: This late?

Ridge: She got a patient in cries issues apparently.

Eric: Doesn't happen that often, does it?

Ridge: Almost never. This is somebody she's really been worried about, though. Been on her mind so much, you would think he was a friend or a member of the family, not just a patient. I have a feeling, though, the worst of it's going to be over after tonight.

Antonio: Kristen...

Taylor: Did you find Dr. Craig?

Antonio: He's on his way.

Taylor: Can I get you anything, a glass of water?

Kristen: Yeah, yeah. Water -- water would be great. Thanks.

Antonio: I'm so sorry.

This one is daddy's favorite.

Eric: Daddy's favorite? Well, it must be important because your daddy knows a lot about baseball.

He knows about everything.

Eric: Yeah, yeah, he does. But do you know who taught him everything he knows about everything?

Eric: You're light. It was me.

Ridge: All right, it's time for you to go up and brush your teeth.

I'm not finished.

Ridge: You can come back down when you get all ready for bed.

Eric: Yeah, go on. I'll be here.

Ridge: Go on. And brush the top this time, okay?

Eric: This is my favorite age.

Ridge: You say that every time you see him. In fact, you say that about the girls too.

Eric: I do? Well, whenever I see them, that's my favorite age.

Ridge: You're loving this grandpa thing, aren't you?

Eric: Yeah, I love this grandpa thing and I have you to thank for it, three times over.

Ridge: How about those other kids? What a bunch of slackers they are.

Eric: Yeah. I think maybe Kristen will be catching up pretty soon.

Ridge: After the way Tony reacted tonight, I'm not so sure about all that.

Eric: Ah... That was just a little disagreement. He obviously adores her.

Ridge: And she's head over heels for him too. But do you really think she's going to give you the penthouse and the limousines for a little white picket fence and a bunch of carpooling?

Eric: Yeah. In a New York minute.

Ridge: I don't know. Just doesn't quite seem her style.

Eric: Well, it didn't quite seem your style either when you were dating a different model every week.

Ridge: So?

Eric: So.

Ridge: What's your point? Eric I made my point. Kristen's never been one to wear her heart on her sleeve and her mother has put a lot of pressure on her over the years to find somebody and settle down. But I think whether Kristen realizes it or not, Tony is exactly what she's been looking for.

Ridge: Well, if that's the case, I say good for her.

Eric: Yeah, good for her. I think he's very good for her.

Dr. Craig: I'll be back soon with your results, Ms. Forrester.

Kristen: Tony?

Antonio: I'm so sorry, Kristen.

Kristen: You don't have to keep apologizing. You didn't know.

Antonio: I brought such ugliness into your life.

Kristen: No, no. You brought wonderful things to my life. You gave me back my family. You showed me things that I didn't even know I was missing.

Antonio: Like HIV tests and fearing for your life?

Kristen: I am not fearing for my life. Tony, we never even made love.

Antonio: And we never will. There's so much that I wanted to give you.

Get the balloons and put them over there.

I'll take that one. Thank you very much, dear. Thank you. Oh, my gosh, looks great. Thank you so much, guys, for work so hard. Beautiful, beautiful.

Whoa. Why the party?

For Tony.

Sophia: Does he know about this?

No, it's a big surprise.

And here ex-the star of the party. El torro torro. Baby, string him up right on top of the ceiling where everybody can see him. And you, my darling, can be in charge of this. But don't hit the piņata, not yet, okay?

Sophia: Darling, this is very sweet of you but I don't think it's the right time for a party.

Sally: Don't be silly, Sophia. It's the perfect time to have a party. Don't you realize that Antonio's designs are going to break every sales record we've ever made?

Sophia: I know. Antonio is very proud of that.

Sally: He should be.

Sophia: But he's been tired lately.

Sally: I see. I don't want to hurt your feels, so far I can't, but don't you think it's possible that is because he has been spending too many late nights with Kristen Forrester?

Sophia: Actually, they've been having some problems and Tony is a little depressed.

Sally: Really? Well, I'll have to take care of that. Thank you for telling me.

Sophia: So maybe you could put the celebration on hold for a little bit?

Sally: Oh, darling, no. This wonderful party is exactly what he needs to cheer him up.

Clarke: What is all this?

Sophia: Sally is throwing a party for Tony.

Clarke: She is? Sally, I don't think this is such a good idea.

Sally: All right, I know about the little difficulties that Antonio has been having with the ice princess Forrester, okay?

Sophia: I told her that Tony and Kristen were having some problems.

Sally: And I told Sofia that is all the more reason face-off this wonderful party for him. I mean, look at this. We have fabulous food, wonderful drinks, beautiful women, just exactly what he needs.

Clarke: Sally, trust me... This is not what he needs right now.

Sally: What is with you two? Is there something going on here which you're not telling me?

Sophia: No.

Sally: Are you sure?

Sophia: Absolutely no.. It's -- we're just concerned about Tony.

Sally: Sophia, Antonio is the last person in the world you should be concerned about. He's got absolutely everything going for him. Just look at him, he's young, he's handsome, he's a powerful talent. He's about to become an international fashion sensation. Forget about Kristen Forrester as his muse. Women all over the world are going to be falling all over themselves begging to be his inspiration. You mark my words: Antonio Dominguez is going to have a brilliant future.

Antonio: Shouldn't he be back by now?

Kristen: Tony, he hasn't been gone that long.

Taylor: I could call and find out how much longer he'll be.

Antonio: Come in.

Dr. Craig: I have your results.

Kristen: What are they?

Dr. Craig: You were right, you're negative.

Kristen: Thank you, doctor.

Dr. Craig: Well test you again in six months.

Kristen: Okay.

Dr. Craig: There's still some things we need to discuss.

Antonio: Like what?

Dr. Craig: Well, you're HIV-positive and your partner is not. I wanted to talk to you about ways you could safely express your feelings.

Antonio: That won't be necessary, doctor. I'm not going to be putting Kristen in any kind of risk. We won't be seeing each other anymore.

Kristen: Tony --

Taylor: Look, don't you think you should just wait a few days before you --

Antonio: Wait? Wait for what?

Taylor: Tony you're upset right now.

Antonio: Yes, I am upset. Look, the woman that I love, Ii can't even touch. I know what she needs. I know what she deserves and I can't give it to her.

Kristen: That doesn't mean we stop caring about each other.

Antonio: That's why I'm doing this, is because I do care.

Kristen: It I -- I talk to Tony alone?

Taylor: Sure.

Antonio: Look, why are you prolonging this?

Kristen: What did you think was going to happen, that I would find out I'm not infected and then just waltz out of here like nothing ever happened and then look back?

Antonio: You know what? I hope you will look back and I hope you will remember me as someone who cared about you so much, I left you alone.

Kristen: Stop it. Stop talking like that, okay? I don't know what I want. I just found out about this. And I am very confused.

Antonio: Well, I'm not, okay? This is all I've been thinking about for weeks. Now, I know what does have to happen. And the only answer for us is to move on.

Kristen: No, I don't accept that, okay? I am not ready to lose you. This is not goodbye.

Clarke: We should have told Sally the truth.

Sophia: We can't. It's not our place.

Clarke: Well, fine. If Tony wants to wait to tell Sally, that's his business, but Kristen is another story. I swear, if he doesn't tell her by tomorrow, I will.

Sophia: Don't worry about her. I'm sure by now she already knows.

Clarke: Poor girl. Oh, what this is going to do to her.

Sophia: She will go on. She will find someone else. But Tony... My poor Antonio. What does he do next?

Kristen: I don't think you realize how much you mean to me.

Antonio: It doesn't matter.

Kristen: It does matter. It matters to me. I can't just let you disappear from my life. Tony, I need you.

Antonio: For what, Kristen? I can't be your lover. I can't even be your husband.

Kristen: Well, maybe there's -- there's some way, you know, we could still be there for each other.

Antonio: What are you going to be, Kristen, you want to be my nursemaid? You want to be my best pal?

Kristen: Please don't be angry with me.

Antonio: No, it's not you. It's not you. Oh, Kristen, I want you so bad. God, look at you. It's the -- since the first day I met you, I've imagined being with you, holding you in my arms, being in the same bed. But I'm never going to know what that's like. I'm never going to know what it's like to make love to you.

Kristen: Maybe, um, you know, if we're careful.

Antonio: Oh, yeah, how intimate. Every intimate moment we have, I'll be wondering if I just gave you a death sentence. You do realize how impossible this is, don't you?

Kristen: I don't know what to do.

Antonio: Yes, you do. You know in your heart, it's over. There's nothing that we can do, no matter how much we love each other. Anything that we do for each other -- there's nothing we can do.

Kristen: Tony...

Antonio: Tell your family I'm very sorry. They love you. They will get you through this.

Kristen: And what about you? Who is going to get you through this?

Antonio: You are, not by being in my life but by going on with your own.

Kristen: I wish you would stop worrying about me.

Antonio: I'm not worried about you. I know you'll go on. You'll find a man who will give you everything that I couldn't, give you a family, give you a life that's full.

Kristen: I don't want it with anyone else.

Antonio: Look, you can't just close yourself off because of me. You need to go on, okay? I need to be happy. You need to have a full life. You can't cut yourself off, okay, not because of me. You do that, Kristen, I swear to God, that will kill me faster than this damn disease. Promise me. Promise me you'll go on, you won't give up.

Kristen: Okay.

Antonio: I have to go.

Kristen: No, not yet.

Antonio: I'll always love you. I got to go.

Kristen: No, Tony. Please!
