Eric: Thorne? Son?

Thorne: Dad.

Eric: did you sleep here last night?

Thorne: Yeah yeah.

Eric: I thought you were up at the cabin with Brooke.

Thorne: I was.

Eric: What happened, the two of you have a fight?

Thorne: I left her.

Eric: What?

Thorne: I left her. Our marriage is over, Dad.

Eric: Come on now, Thorne whatever happened between the two of you can't be that serious.

Thorne: You know, I should have listened to everyone. I should have had to you, to mom, Ridge, Taylor, Macy. God, everyone was right, everyone!

Eric: Right about what, Thorne?

Thorne: Marrying Brooke, dad, it was a mistake. It was the biggest mistake of my life.

 (Phone rings )

Taylor: Dr. Taylor Hayes.

Ridge: Good morning, doc.

Taylor: Ridge?

Ridge: I tried calling you at home. Catherine said you already left at the office.

Taylor: I have an early appointment. Where are you?

Ridge: Still at the cabin. Storm has cleared so I'll be leaving here pretty soon.

Taylor: Did Thorne and Brooke work everything out?

Ridge: No, they didn't. Thorne wasn't even here when i arrived.

Taylor: Thorne was there?

Ridge: It's a bit after long story but Thorne took the car and stranded Brooke up here.

Taylor: Honey, you know, I -- really don't like this. If Thorne and Brooke are having problems, you're really the last person who should be getting involved.

Ridge: Doc, don't worry about it. They're going to work things out. They are.

Taylor: Brooke has a way of creating things to worry about.

Ridge: Yeah, well, we'll be leaving in a few minutes and you and I can talk about all of this over dinner, all right?

Taylor: Yes, we will.

Ridge: I love you.

Taylor: I love you.

Brooke: Who was that?

Ridge: That was Taylor. Get a hold of Thorne yet?

Brooke: No, I tried his cell phone and I called the house and he wasn't picking up there, so I just left messages everywhere.

Ridge: Just let him cool off. He'll come home.

Brooke: The way he was looking at me before I left here last night...

Ridge: Brooke, you had a fight.

Brooke: Ridge, it was more than a fight. Thorne is talking about getting an annulment. I have destroyed his belief in me and his belief in this relationship. My God, what have I done?

Ridge: I think the better question might be what are you going to do?

Brooke: Thorne is not going to give up on us. I am not going to let our marriage end like this. I just won't.

Taylor: Come in. I wasn't sure you were going to show up.

Antonio: Neither was I.

Taylor: Go ahead, have a seat.

Antonio: Look, doc, if we're going to do this test let's get it over with, okay? I want going to get back to work.

Taylor: Let me call Dr. Craig, he's down the hall.

Antonio: I thought you said when you were taking the test here, totally private.

Taylor: We are. I just have to let him know you're here. Dr. Craig? Hi, this is Taylor Hayes. Yes, my patient is here. He's ready for his HIV test. Okay. Thank you. Ton is he coming?

Taylor: In a minute. Would you try to relax?

Antonio: Hey, I'm fine. You're the one that's all uptight, that wants me to take this stupid test.

Taylor: Tony --

Antonio: I want to take the test, okay? Don't worry about it.

Thorne: Dad, can I ask you a question?

Eric: Anything.

Thorne: What was it like for you? I mean, when did you know that your marriage to Brooke was really over?

Eric: Look, Thorne, I -- relationship with Brooke was very, very complicated. We did our best to make it work for the sake of the children, but eventually I had to realize that, as much as we cared about each other, her heart still belonged to Ridge. But that was a long time ago and since then --

Thorne: Nothing's changed, nothing, Dad. Brooke's heart still belongs to Ridge.

Brooke: I mean it, Ridge. We worked too hard and we fought too long to just throw it all away. And I am not going to let Thorne give up on this marriage.

Ridge: Okay. What are you going to do to stop him?

Brooke: I'm going to just have to tell him that there are different kinds of love.

Ridge: Thorne doesn't I need a lecture on the nature of love. He needs to know how you feel about him.

Brooke: He is the kindest, most generous, sweetest person I've ever met.

Ridge: And I thought you wanted to save your marriage.

Brooke: I do.

Ridge: Well, you're going to have to do a lot better than that, Logan. Listen to me, Thorne's ego took a major hit yesterday. He heard you admit you're attracted to another man. He heard you say to deacon that your husband isn't the greatest passion of your life.

Brooke: I know.

Ridge: He heard you say it was me.

Brooke: Oh, God, it shouldn't have happened. It shouldn't have happened. It's not going to change anything. Why can't he just understand that?

Ridge: Because you're the center of his universe. And up until yesterday, he thought he was the center of yours. Brooke, his entire world has been thrown out of whack and you have to somehow find a way to put it about now.

Brooke: How am I going to convince him that I'm still committed to him?

Ridge: Okay, this is about commitment, yes, but it's also about passion, Brooke. Passion. Nobody knows more about that than you do. You've got to prove yourself now. Don't just tell Thorne how passionately you feel about him. You've got to show him.

Taylor: Thank you for coming, Dr. Craig. This is my patient.

Antonio: No names.

Dr. Craig: Oh, there's no need to worry, sir. This test is strictly confidential.

Antonio: Good.

Taylor: And he'll have his test results today?

Dr. Craig: Once I draw the blood I can test it for the HIV antibodies right in my office. The entire process should take about a half hour. But first I have to ask you some questions.

Antonio: I thought you just said that this is confidential.

Dr. Craig: They're very standard questions. I need to ask you about your sexual history, sexual preferences --

Antonio: Oh, yeah, doc, let me tell you all about thatů I'm out at that here --

Taylor: Wait, Tony. Just calm down, okay? Dr. Craig, he is really nervous.

Antonio: I am not nervous. I don't have anything to be nervous about!

Taylor: If you would just go ahead and administer his test, I'll give you his background later.

Dr. Craig: All right then, sir, if you would have a seat and roll up your sleeve for me, please.

Antonio: Fine. There's nothing wrong with me and I'm going to prove it. .

Eric: Look, Thorne, I'll admit there was a time when I thought your marriage was a mistake. Everybody in the family had their doubts, but you dispelled them. I mean, you --

Thorne: Dad, dad, you're not listening. There's no me and Brooke, okay? There never was.

Eric: Look I don't know what happened last night, but the fact is your wife is not involved with your brother. Ridge is a part of her past. You don't have to worry about him anymore.

Thorne: Ooh, yeah, that's right. Why should I worry. Brooke married me. She's my wife, right? So what happened what if she fantasizes about Ridge night in my bed?

Eric: What? Come on, Thorne, that's not true.

Thorne: I heard her say it, Dad. I heard her say it.

Eric: When did she say this, in the middle of some heated argument with you?

Thorne: No, dad, she was talking with Deacon, Dad, Deacon.

Eric: Deacon what, does he have to do with it?

Thorne: I don't want to go into the details of that. The bottom line is this: My marriage is a farce, okay? Brooke is in love with Ridge and the passion that she had with him can never be duplicated so there's no reason to carry on this charade that I call a marriage any longer!

Eric: So that's it? One little misunderstanding and the two of you are calling it quits?

Thorne: This is not a misunderstanding, dad, and I'm not quitting, okay? I lost, I lost, Dad. I lost my pride, I lost my dignity and I lost myself . I gave the woman everything i had, okay? And she sees me as some consolation prize!

Eric: Son, you're serious, aren't you?

Thorne: You're damn right I'm serious, Dad. You're damn right I'm serious. Brooke and I are finished. This marriage is over. I loved her with everything that I had, okay? Everything that I had. No, but a man can be pushed to his limits, and I have been pushed to mine. I will not -- I will not be settled for. And I will never be my brother's substitute.

Eric: I'm sorry, son. I'm sorry.

Dr. Craig: All right, just hold this gauze right there.

Antonio: That's it?

Dr. Craig: That's it. All I have to do is put this bandage on.

Antonio: Here, I can do that.

Taylor: Thank you, doctor.

Dr. Craig: I'll be back with the results.

Antonio: Listen, I'm going to get out of here. I don't really need to stay here for the results. I feel great. I know I'm not HIV-positive. I just did this to prove it to her.

Taylor: That's not the only reason.

Dr. Craig: You never said -- are you involved with anyone? Because if you are and this test comes back positive --

Antonio: It won't.

Dr. Craig: There's always a chance, sir.

Antonio: Look doctor, I know the risks. I know my responsibilities. I've been tested before and I was negative. I'm just doing this again because I'm with a very special person and I just wanted to.

Dr. Craig: So you haven't had sexual relations with your current girlfriend?

Antonio: No, no, that's why I did this. I know I'm safe. I just wanted to make sure.

Dr. Craig: That's very admirable.

Taylor: He's doing the right thing

Antonio: Yeah, well, now it's your turn to do the right thing for me, doc. Go run the results. I'll wait here, waiting for the good news.

Taylor: Thank you very much.

Ridge: Dad? Thorne around?

Eric: He just left.

Ridge: How is he?

Eric: He was in a -- he's bitter as hell, Ridge.

Ridge: Well, I sure hope you tried to talk some sense into him because he told Brooke their marriage is over.

Eric: It probably is.

Ridge: But that's so crazy. They -- they were just married. Brooke is still very committed to Thorne. Eric for how long? You know, I know what that's like, waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's a miserable way to live. And I don't want that for him.

Ridge: Wait, are you supporting this?

Eric: I'm supporting your brother.

Ridge: Where did he go?

Eric: He won't home to pack a few things the

Ridge: I hope Brooke gets there soon. The sooner they patch things up, the better.

Eric: Well, I'll tell you this, after talking to Thorne, Brooke's really going to have her work cut out for her.

Ridge: She wants him back, Dad. And if Brooke wants something badly enough, she will find a way to get it.

Brooke: Thorne?

Thorne: Go away.

Brooke: No.

Thorne: Fine, I was leaving anyway.

Brooke: Wait, please.

Thorne: Brooke, I don't want to talk to you.

Brooke: Look, I don't want to talk either. Now, I know that there's nothing that I can say. There's no excuse that I can give you, no words to explain I just want to make up. I want to save our marriage.

Thorne: That's not what you really want.

Brooke: I know you don't think I'm passionate about you, but you're wrong. Let me show you just how passionately I feel about you. Make love to me, Thorne.

Antonio: What's taking so long you? Said the doctor would be here by now.

Taylor: He'll come down as soon as he has the test results.

Antonio: You said he would be back like in 30 minutes.

Taylor: Tony, would you please try to calm down. Maybe you would like a glass of water. It might help settle your nerves.

Antonio: My nerves are fine, doctor. Nothing wrong with my nerves or anything else, hand it blood test is going to prove that.

Taylor: I hope so. Tony, you're not just doing this for yourself. You're doing it for Kristen.

Antonio: You know, maybe after this is all over, we could all go out sometime, you, Ridge, me and Kristen.

Taylor: Tony, I would spend time with you no matter what your test results were. You know, people with HIV don't have to live in quarantine.

Antonio: You have three kids?

Taylor: Mm-hmm.

Antonio: You know, me and Kristen have already talked about that, having children.

Taylor: Really?

Antonio: Yeah, we have. We want to have a nice, long, wonderful life, long and happy and blessed in every way. I know it's too soon to be talking like that, I mean, we've only been together a few weeks, but I have a good feeling about this. And usually when I have a good feeling, I'm right.

Taylor: Come in.

Antonio: You have the results?

Dr. Craig: Right here.

Antonio: Well, let me see them.

Dr. Craig: I usually have a discussion with my patients before I tell them their status.

Antonio: I know what you're going to say, doctor, okay? I don't need to have a discussion with you. Come on, man. Don't keep me in suspense. Tell me I'm HIV-negative.
