Felicia: Luke, hi.
Lucas: Don't act so disappointed. I have a very fragile ego, you know.
Felicia: Yes, I remember.
Lucas: Am I interrupting?
Felicia: No. No, no.
Lucas: May I come in?
Felicia: Yes. I'm so sorry. Come in, of course.
Lucas: Hmm. Wow, look at this table.
Felicia: It's beautiful, isn't it?
Lucas: Yeah. Long way from Gold Street, huh?
Felicia: A lifetime.
Lucas: Yeah. Listen, I won't take long. I just have to see Mitch for a minute. Have to change a schedule.
Felicia: Well, I'm afraid that's going to be a little difficult.
Lucas: He's not here?
Lucas: You're alone?
Rachel: Oh, my goodness.
Mitch: What is it?
Rachel: Look at how dark it is.
Mitch: What time is it?
Rachel: It's almost 7:00.
Mitch: I was supposed to be back over an hour ago.
Rachel: Oh, yeah, that's right. You said you had something.
Mitch: Yeah, something big.
Mitch: Dinner with Felicia. It's our first anniversary.
Amanda: Where's Vicky?
Evan: She left.
Amanda: Don't you think you should've gone with her?
Evan: Well, I needed to stay. I want to talk to you.
Sam: I'm glad you did, Ev. I have a few things I want to tell you.
Stacey: I'm telling you, Cal, you just have it all wrong!
Cal: Derek wants to pay me back for what happened years ago with the gang.
Stacey: No, that isn't it!
Cal: But I won't let him get away with it.
Derek: Leave her alone, Cal.
Cal: Welcome to the party, Derek.
Derek: Back off, man. Back off!
Stacey: No! No, don't!
Sam: I want to talk to Evan, Amanda, alone.
Amanda: Sam, can't this wait?
Evan: Amanda and I have some work to do.
Sam: I really don't care.
Amanda: Sam, is this really necessary?
Sam: Yes, it really is.
Evan: Ok. What's the problem?
Sam: There's no problem.
Evan: Look, if this is about me and Amanda, it's over.
Sam: No. Actually, it's about Amanda and me. You see, I thought I'd tell you about our trip to Bermuda, our second honeymoon.
Evan: I don't have time for this.
Sam: Make time.
Evan: You know, Sam, I'm really not interested in your damn trip.
Sam: We talked about you.
Evan: So what?
Sam: Don't you want to hear what we said?
Evan: Well, you're obviously dying to tell me.
Sam: Yeah, as a matter of fact, I am. But first I think I should explain to you the fact that Amanda didn't want to talk about you. I insisted. See, I wanted to get you out of the way for good.
Evan: Who cares what you wanted?
Sam: I gave her a choice. I told her to follow her heart. I said she should feel free to go with you if she so choose. I would give her that freedom.
Evan: Boy, that's big of you.
Sam: I thought so.
Evan: Would you just get to the point?
Sam: The point is, Ev, she said, "no, thanks." Without any prompting from me, she said she didn't want to have anything to do with you.
Evan: Great. I'm happy for you. I've heard enough of this crap.
Sam: No, you havenít.
Evan: Get your hands off me.
Sam: Oh. See, Amanda and I, we're a couple. We have a family, we love each other, and we're happier than we've ever been.
Evan: Who cares? You better get your hands off me before I do something I'll regret.
Sam: If our marriage ever is in trouble, it won't be because of you.
Amanda: I was just coming to turn the lights out in here.
Olivia: Oh. Didn't Sam tell you? We're supposed to be having a session.
Amanda: No, he didn't mention it. It's a little late for that, isn't it?
Olivia: Well, I didn't have anything to do, so I said it was fine.
Olivia: Actually, I think I work better at night anyway. I'm more relaxed.
Olivia: So how was your trip to Bermuda?
Amanda: Oh, it was great. Thanks.
Olivia: Was it romantic?
Amanda: Oh, more than I ever could've imagined.
Amanda: Mm-hmm. It was just one of those perfect trips, you know? Beautiful weather, great hotel. Sam and I fell in love all over again.
Olivia: Sounds intense.
Amanda: Oh, well, it was -- no, there's no words for it. What about you? Did you keep yourself busy while we were gone?
Olivia: Oh, sure. I missed working, but I kept busy at school. Mm-hmm.
Amanda: And with your dance classes, right?
Olivia: Mm-hmm -- school, dance classes, and something else.
Amanda: Oh? What's that?
Olivia: Oh, I don't know if I should talk about it.
Amanda: Well, you don't have to.
Olivia: Well, actually, I think I'd like to. I think maybe you could help me.
Amanda: Help you?
Olivia: Mm-hmm. I really envy you, Amanda. You have such a sense of yourself. You always look so great.
Amanda: That's just because you don't see me very often.
Olivia: No, that's not it at all. I think you have a wonderful, wholesome look.
Amanda: Isn't "wholesome" another word for "boring"?
Olivia: No, not in the least. I think you're a very interesting person, not only to look at but to talk to, too.
Amanda: What is it that I could help you with, Olivia?
Olivia: Well, I'm really excited about this. I'm a bit nervous, too, but -- actually, I feel a little ill.
Amanda: Oh, you're nervous, excited, and guilty?
Olivia: Yeah, it's kind of a lot to be feeling all at once, isn't it?
Amanda: Yeah. Tell me what it is.
Olivia: Oh -- my aunt Liz submitted me for the fresh faces campaign.
Amanda: Aunt Liz is an agent now?
Olivia: Yeah. Anyway, I know you're somewhat connected to "Sophisticate."
Olivia: Oh, believe me, that's not why I'm discussing this with you. I'm not asking for any favors.
Amanda: Ok, I'm not giving any either.
Olivia: Oh, of course not. No, I -- I was just hoping maybe you could me some advice about the interview.
Amanda: What type of advice?
Olivia: Well, how do you think I should present myself?
Amanda: Uh, Olivia, I've never been a model. I really don't know.
Olivia: Oh, but you could be a model. You're beautiful. You have a perfect figure --
Amanda: Oh, come on.
Olivia: Great fashion sense -- everything.
Amanda: Well, if that's true, it's an accident. Believe me, I take back half of everything that I ever buy.
Olivia: Well, I love the way you look, Amanda -- your clothes, your hair.
Amanda: Are you putting me on?
Olivia: No. Why?
Amanda: You're just going a little overboard with the praise.
Olivia: No, Amanda, not at all. I mean, look at this beautiful portrait that Sam painted of you. If you can't see it in the mirror, I mean, surely, you can see it there.
Amanda: You know, I can't believe this red swan turned up underneath his painting.
Olivia: What happened to the painting, anyway? It looks like something dissolved the paint.
Amanda: I'm not really sure. I know Sam didn't do it.
Amanda's voice: How dare you say these things to me!
Evan: Why not? They're true.
Amanda: It's not true. You have some made-up version of me in your mind.
Evan: I'm not making it up, Amanda. It's real.
Amanda: It's not.
Evan: Yes, it is. You know it and I know it. You see, that's the part of you that really scares you. It is real. And that's why you're getting away from here, because it's getting stronger.
Amanda: I am going away with my husband because I love him.
Amanda: And I want to be with him.
Evan: Who are you trying to convince right now? Me or you?
Amanda: You. And I can tell you that when Sam and I are dancing under the stars, when we're listening to the waves roll in, wrapped in each other's arms, or making passionate love on a deserted beach, that I will not be thinking about you. Evan.
Stacey: Derek, come on, leave him alone! Let's get out of here! Oh!
Cal: Don't even think about it!
Derek: Let her go, man.
Cal: You take one step and I snap her neck!
Derek: Ok. Stacey!
Stacey: Oh! Oh.
Rachel: Listen, you don't have to show me in. I'm fine.
Mitch: I wanted to. Hi, Jamie.
Jamie: Hey, Mitch.
Rachel: Hey, why aren't you at the hospital?
Jamie: Well, I'm just leaving.
Mitch: Well, I guess I should be leaving, too.
Rachel: Thank you very much for the day.
Mitch: I meant what I said. You can count on me anytime.
Rachel: I know that. But now you've got to get home.
Mitch: I'll see you later.
Mitch: See you, Jamie.
Rachel: Well, it was nice that you had the day off, even if you do have to go in tonight.
Rachel: What is it? What's the matter?
Jamie: You went to the cabin with Mitch?
Rachel: That's right.
Jamie: You know, I would've gone with you. You knew it was my day off.
Rachel: I never would have bothered you with that.
Jamie: I would've loved to have driven you up there.
Rachel: Well, Mitch came by this morning. He knew I was going up to the cabin. He offered to do it, so I let him come with.
Jamie: And that's all?
Rachel: Have you been talking to Amanda?
Jamie: We live in the same house. Why?
Rachel: There is nothing going on between Mitch and me.
Jamie: But there is something going on.
Rachel: Jamie, I'm trying to find out about the photograph and why it was hidden behind the canvas.
Jamie: Well, we may never find the answer to that.
Rachel: I mean, it was like -- it's like another one of Macís treasure hunts. First the red swan and then this photograph.
Jamie: You should just forget all about it.
Rachel: I can't forget about it, Jamie. That's impossible for me.
Jamie: Is Mitch trying to help you?
Jamie: I see. Well, Mom, I have to say that -- no, I donít. I don't have to say anything.
Rachel: What? Go ahead, say what you were going to say.
Jamie: Well, it just seems to me you are relying on Mitch more than your own family, and I'm wondering why.
Lucas: Oh. What a pity.
Felicia: Oh, I don't know. Maybe Prince Orloff liked his veal served cold.
Lucas: Maybe you're starting a new fashion in foods.
Felicia: Maybe. You know, this was Mitchís idea. I mean, not that the food should be cold, but he planned the whole menu. It was very sweet.
Lucas: Too bad he's detained.
Lucas: Where is he, shooting? I know he takes, you know, other assignments.
Felicia: No, actually, it's not business. He -- he had to go over to the Cory's to see Rachel.
Felicia: Mitch is a very generous guy, and if Rachel needs him, well, then I'm glad that he's there.
Lucas: Even if it ruins your dinner?
Felicia: Oh, it's just a dinner. Doesn't matter.
Lucas: Yeah. Well, I know it's a rough time for Rachel.
Felicia: Yeah, it is very rough.
Lucas: You know, in a way, that's -- I'm glad that I patched up that thing about the portrait with Amanda.
Lucas: I mean, it was important to her, and how could I have not let her have it?
Felicia: Well, I think it's very sweet of you.
Lucas: Anybody would have done the same thing.
Felicia: No, I don't think so. I think you're a very honorable guy. And they aren't very common these days. Anyway, I'm just glad that everybody else knows what I've always known about you.
Lucas: You know, you never change.
Felicia: Is that good?
Lucas: That's great. It's wonderful. You always see the good things in people.
Felicia: Well, not everybody. But I'm a little partial to my friends. They're a part of me, I guess.
Lucas: Yeah. Well, you're a part of me. I was thinking about us the other day.
Felicia: Were you, huh?
Lucas: Do you remember our wedding?
Felicia: It was not a real wedding, Luke.
Lucas: Well, maybe it wasn't legal, but our feelings made it real.
Felicia: We were just kids then.
Lucas: I know. Do you remember it?
Felicia: Yes, of course I remember it.
Lucas: Haven't forgotten one moment of that day -- that empty church, the incredible quiet.
Felicia: Except, of course, the pounding of my heart.
Lucas: Yeah. You know, I couldn't even get that band on your finger, you were shaking so much.
Felicia: You're the one who didn't remember the vows that we spent time memorizing.
Lucas: Yes, I know, but whatever I said, I said from my heart.
Felicia: I know that.
Lucas: You know, when I said "I do," I felt like I was married. I felt like I was -- I was a married man and you were my wife.
Felicia: Crazy kids.
Lucas: Yeah. I guess -- I guess you and Mitch, you had the whole -- the whole big thing, huh?
Felicia: Kind of, I guess.
Lucas: Yeah. Bridesmaids and best man and hundreds of guests, flowers and --
Felicia: Well, you know, it really wasn't a traditional wedding. It -- it was lovely.
Lucas: Yeah. Well, I'm glad for you, but -- but you know, I was the first person you said "I do" to, and I feel responsible to you.
Lucas: Listen, what I mean is that if you need me ever, I'll be there like I promised in the church that day.
Felicia: I know that.
Felicia: I wonder who that is. Let me just see.
Iris: Felicia, darling, I -- Lucas.
Derek: Stacey? Stacey, can you hear me? Oh, God. Ok. Everything's going to be fine. Hold on. Hold on, I'll get help. Oh, come on, work. Come -- oh, damn it! Ok. Don't worry. Everything's going to be ok. Everything's going to be fine, baby. Oh, please. Please, let her be ok.
Sam: Ok, the lighting is good, the position is not. Here, give me this. There. There like -- like that. Just can you move the knee down a little bit?
Olivia: How's that?
Sam: Don't tense the hand. That's fine, just don't tense the hand. Keep it relaxed -- you know, a dancer's hand?
Sam: Like that.
Olivia: Of course I know a dancer's hand.
Sam: All right, that's great. All right, good. I am going to get a lot work tonight done tonight. I can feel it.
Olivia: How long do you think you'll need me?
Sam: As long as you can stay.
Olivia: All night?
Sam: I'm not stopping till you are.
Olivia: So, Sam --
Olivia: Is everything all right?
Sam: Yeah, it's better than that. Why?
Olivia: Well, you seem a little hyper.
Sam: Yeah, well, I took care of something that's been bothering me for a long time.
Olivia: Good for you.
Sam: Yeah, I feel like I can finally get on with my life, concentrate on my work and my marriage. No more wasted energy on -- well, no more wasted energy.
Olivia: Sounds like a big relief.
Sam: Yeah. You know, maybe I will knock off tonight, take Amanda out to dinner.
Olivia: Um, Sam?
Sam: I think I'll take her to that Indian place she likes too much.
Sam: Or maybe that wine bistro, except I got to make reservations. I don't know about that.
Olivia: Sam, do I look all right?
Sam: Yeah, the -- the hair? Hair?
Olivia: Oh. Is that better?
Sam: That's -- that's perfect, yeah.
Sam: All right. You know, I'm beginning to realize that the way to make a marriage work is not to let things fester. You got to take an active approach, you know? Problems don't go away by themselves, so you got to make them go away.
Olivia: Oh! Ow!
Sam: What? What, what, what -- what happened?
Olivia: Oh, Sam, I have a cramp in my leg.
Sam: Well, sit back and tell me where the cramp is.
Olivia: Oh, it really hurts! Oh!
Sam: Where is it?
Olivia: Oh -- it's here.
Sam: Ok. There?
Olivia: No, no, it's a little bit higher.
Sam: All right, fine. There -- how's that?
Olivia: Oh, yeah, that's better.
Sam: How's that?
Olivia: Yeah, that feels really good, thank you.
Olivia: Ooh, it really hurts.
Sam: Ok, there you go. Oh, there it is.
Iris: I was going to have this delivered, but because Mitch has been working so hard for "Sophisticate" lately, I thought the least I could do was bring it, your anniversary present, in person.
Lucas: It's your anniversary?
Iris: You didn't know, Lucas?
Lucas: No. It's pretty funny considering what we were talking about.
Iris: What did I miss?
Lucas: Happy anniversary.
Felicia: Thank you, Luke.
Iris: And many, many, many, many more. Here you are. I hope you like it.
Felicia: I'm sure I will.
Felicia: Oh, excuse me. I'll take it in the bedroom.
Iris: Well, aren't you going to open it?
Felicia: I think I should wait for Mitch. Excuse me.
Iris: Well, dinner for two. How very cozy.
Lucas: Yes. Mitch arranged it.
Iris: It's a pity he's not here.
Lucas: He's with Rachel.
Iris: How very fortuitous.
Lucas: What does that mean?
Iris: Mitch is there and you're here.
Lucas: Don't read anything into this, Iris.
Iris: Oh, darling, I wouldn't dream of it. I was just commenting.
Lucas: I just stopped by for a minute to see Mitch.
Iris: Oh, really?
Lucas: Yes, to discuss the -- his new assignment on "Sophisticate."
Iris: Oh, and you couldn't do that by the telephone?
Felicia: Well --
Lucas: Well, I should be leaving.
Iris: Me, too. Perhaps you could give me a lift, Lucas.
Felicia: Could you stay a few minutes? There's something I'd like to discuss with you.
Iris: Well, yes, I suppose I could. You won't have to wait for me, then, darling.
Lucas: Bye-bye. Happy anniversary, and say hello to Mitch for me.
Felicia: I will.
Lucas: Ok. See you later, Iris.
Iris: Yes. Later, darling. So, what is it you want to discuss?
Iris: Oh, goody. That's my favorite subject.
Felicia: Good. I don't want your present. In fact, I don't want you in my home.
Felicia: I don't think I can make it any clearer than that, Iris.
Iris: Or ruder.
Felicia: I don't like you. You're not good for Lucas, or for anybody else for that matter.
Iris: Well, I think that's brought our discussion to a screeching halt.
Felicia: I think you should also know that I've warned Lucas to stay away from you.
Iris: You know, Felicia, you are so transparent.
Felicia: You can go now.
Iris: You want Lucas all for yourself just in case things don't work out with Mitch.
Felicia: I'm not even going to dignify that one.
Iris: You couldn't dignify anything, dear.
Felicia: Go home, Iris.
Iris: Don't worry, I'm going. But there is something I want to say to you. It's obvious that your marriage is rocky and you're looking for someone to blame.
Felicia: You couldn't be more wrong.
Iris: I will not let you make me the villain of this piece. We both know the reason Mitch is not here, and her name is Rachel Cory. And the sooner you realize that she's the threat to your happiness and not me, the better off you'll be. Cheerio.
Amanda: Thought I'd find you here.
Rachel: Hi, honey.
Amanda: So, how was it?
Amanda: You went to the cabin, right?
Rachel: You know I did.
Amanda: So was it nice?
Amanda: Did you have a good time?
Rachel: What is this?
Amanda: What is what?
Rachel: Is this the third degree?
Amanda: No, this isn't the third degree. I'm just interested, that's all.
Rachel: If you want to know something, why don't you just ask me outright?
Amanda: Ok. You went up there with Mitch.
Rachel: That's right.
Amanda: Why? Any member of this family would've been happy to go with you. I would've gone. Jamie said he would've gone.
Rachel: Yes, I understand you discussed this with Jamie.
Amanda: Well, why not? You discussed my private life with Evan.
Rachel: Well, this isn't getting us anywhere.
Amanda: Why is everything that you do all right?
Rachel: Amanda, what I feel for Mitch is friendship.
Amanda: And what about how Mitch feels?
Rachel: Amanda --
Amanda: Is he trying to take Daddy's place in your life?
Rachel: That's absurd.
Amanda: Mitch was in love with you.
Rachel: Honey, that was ancient history. That -- we were different people then. That was years ago.
Amanda: He could still love you. It doesn't matter how many years have gone by.
Rachel: Amanda, we're friends. We share a son together. We have a lot of history between us, that's all.
Amanda: Maybe for you.
Rachel: Amanda, please stop this.
Amanda: It wasn't that long ago when Mitch came back to Bay City. I know he still felt something for you then.
Rachel: And he met Felicia and they fell in love.
Amanda: That only happened after he realized that you and Daddy were so much in love.
Rachel: You have no idea what he was --
Amanda: Now Daddy is gone, you're alone, and you're spending an awful lot of time with Mitch.
Rachel: You know, this is sounding silly.
Amanda: Well, you do, I think it's very silly when you make the same assumptions about Evan and me.
Rachel: I think I've had about enough for today.
Amanda: Mom, wait a minute. Mom --
Rachel: Why don't you get one thing straight? No one, not Mitch, not anyone is ever going to take the place of your father in my life. Can you try to understand just that much?
Amanda: Does Mitch understand that?
Rachel: That's enough, Amanda! What are you doing here? I thought we had an understanding.
Evan: You going to throw me out?
Rachel: No. Do whatever you want, I don't care.
Evan: What was all that about?
Amanda: Family business.
Evan: What, does it concern me?
Amanda: I want to talk to you.
Evan: Good. I want to talk to you.
Amanda: Were you the one that damaged Samís portrait of me?
Lucas: You're late.
Griffen: Hmm, and you're overanxious.
Lucas: This better be worth waiting for.
Griffen: I told you I would find someone, and I did.
Lucas: Let's see, let's see.
Griffen: I still don't know why you're doing this.
Lucas: Yes, yes.
Griffen: It's a little large for your average nursery, but I suppose it'll pass.
[Music box plays]
Lucas: This is perfect, perfect!
Griffen: It ought to be. It cost enough.
Lucas: You did good, Griffen. No one is going to know that this is the red swan.
Griffen: Oh, they'd better not. Otherwise you'll put an end to a very good thing -- for the both of us.
Jamie: Is this it?
Ronnie: Slow night.
Jamie: Slow? I could've put a major dent in "War and Peace" tonight.
Ronnie: Oh, it took me four nights just to get the characters straight -- except Prince Andrey. Oh, he's my favorite.
Jamie: Oh, yeah?
Ronnie: I could fall for him in a --
Derek: Please help! Is anybody here? Stacey's been hurt.
Jamie: Oh, my God, Stacey.
Ronnie: Room one is open.
Jamie: Let's get some vital signs, stat. In here, quick.
Ronnie: Let's get her on the bed gently.
Jamie: What happened?
Derek: She hit her head.
Ronnie: And you moved her? Why didn't you call an ambulance?
Derek: The phone was out.
Jamie: Let's get a cat scan, stat. How did this happen, Derek?
Derek: Is she going to be ok?
Jamie: Derek, I need to know what happened.
Derek: She -- there was a bar fight. She got in the middle and she hit her head up against the bar. Is she going to be ok?
Jamie: Bar fight? What the hell is the matter with you? How could you let this happen? Let's get a portable chest x-ray, stat.
Amanda: I saw the portrait, and then I remembered the two of us being in there right before I went away.
Evan: I was there, Amanda.
Amanda: You were pretty furious when I left.
Evan: I don't need you to reconstruct the evening. I was there.
Amanda: Did you do it, Evan?
Evan: Because I was angry.
Amanda: You ruined something that Sam has been working on for months because you were angry?
Evan: I wanted to be the one that was going away with you.
Amanda: What is the matter with you?
Evan: I should've been!
Amanda: So you canceled our reservations, you ruined something Sam has been working on for months. Are you insane?
Evan: Did your mother tell you what she told me?
Amanda: Yes. I told her that she was wrong.
Evan: She's not wrong.
Amanda: She is wrong about me.
Evan: Your marriage is in trouble and you know it, Amanda.
Amanda: No, it's not, not anymore. I have finally come to my senses. I realize how important Sam is to me, how important this marriage is to me.
Evan: Is it important to you or to Alli?
Amanda: Alli has nothing to do with this.
Evan: Oh, yeah? Aren't you trying to save this marriage for her sake?
Amanda: I want this marriage to work because I love my husband.
Evan: Amanda, you are lying to yourself and you know it. Rachel knows it. That's why she keeps trying to keep me away from you.
Amanda: Look, I don't need to listen to this.
Evan: No, you're going to listen to me. Because you and I belong together, and you know that just as much as I do.
Amanda: And what about Vicky?
Evan: What, does that bother you?
Amanda: No! I've already made my decision.
Evan: What, to stay with Sam?
Amanda: Yes, because I love him. And if we are going to continue to work together, then you had better respect that decision.
Amanda: I hope that means that you understand.
Evan: Yes. I understand, all right. And I won't bother you anymore. I've got someone else in my life that I'm going to concentrate on. Because I can appreciate someone who's honest enough to say what she wants.
Sam: How's that?
Olivia: That's better.
Sam: All right, that -- that should do it.
Olivia: You're stopping already?
Sam: Yeah. I thought maybe we'd get back to work, you know?
Olivia: Oh, ok.
Olivia: It's just that it felt so good, that's all.
Sam: Well, the cramp's gone, right?
Olivia: Oh, yeah, sure.
Sam: Ok, good.
Olivia: It's great. You did a great job.
Sam: All right. Well, let's get back into position and get back to work.
Sam: All right. All right, hand -- hand.
Olivia: Hmm? Oh, yeah, right. I forgot.
Sam: There. I'd like to get in another couple hours at least.
Sam: And then I really should get to work on that dinner that Amanda knows nothing about.
Sam: I don't know, maybe I will get reservations. Except we're going to be there so late, it shouldn't really matter.
Olivia: I'm sorry.
Sam: Oh, what now?
Olivia: I just can't do this anymore.
Sam: Well, is it your leg cramping again? What?
Olivia: No, no, Sam, my leg is fine. I just -- I can't concentrate. I have far too much energy to sit still.
Olivia: You know I missed my workout today? I get really, really weird when I miss my workout.
Sam: Yeah, I guess so.
Olivia: I just feel like I have to get out and do something, you know?
Sam: Well, look, Olivia, if this is becoming, like, stressful, we can work in another situation.
Olivia: You know, do you ever feel like that? Like you just want to run as fast as you can or scream at the top of your lungs? You know, something like that?
Sam: You get this feeling, like, all of a sudden?
Olivia: It's just -- it's far too gorgeous of a night to spend cooped up in here.
Sam: Ok, fine. Um -- you go do what you have to do.
Olivia: The only problem is that I know exactly what would make me feel better.
Sam: That's a problem?
Olivia: Mm-hmm. It's actually a really brilliant idea.
Sam: Well, good. I'm glad for you. Why don't you go do that, and I'll clean up here?
Olivia: Fine, I'll wait for you.
Olivia: You have to come with me.
Sam: Olivia, I don't think that's such --
Olivia: No, Sam. See, that's the problem. To do what I really want to do, I have to have your cooperation.
Felicia's voice: "Melinda looked out at the inky Caribbean shimmering in the moonlight. It was a sultry night, and tiny beads of perspiration glistened on her bosom. She had picked a hankie from the sleeve of her rust-satin gown and dabbed at her chest."
Felicia: This life at Cunnington Castle was -- well, it was terribly quiet.
Mitch: Milady craves excitement, eh?
Felicia: Well, I don't know if you call it "crave."
Felicia: Oh -- heavy hat. Oh. Whatever are you doing, Percy?
Mitch: Life at a castle -- all the hand servants and handmaidens, all the great walls and great balls.
Felicia: What do you mean by that, Percy?
Mitch: Sounds like a porcelain life for a porcelain virgin.
Felicia: Oh, I really must go to my cabin. Excuse me.
Mitch: You aren't going nowhere.
Felicia: I don't know what you mean, sir Percival.
Mitch: I ain't no "sir." I ain't no English fop.
Felicia: If you are not sir Percival, who are you? And if you're not an Englishman, what are you?
Mitch: I ain't got no country. My name is Teague, "bloody" Mike Teague.
Felicia: Oh, the pirate!
Mitch: The buccaneer.
[Bloody Mike laughs]
Felicia: Oh -- I really must call the captain. Oh!
Mitch: There ain't no captain.
Felicia: Oh! Oh!
Mitch: You can yell until there ain't no breath in that bountiful chest of yours --
Mitch: But the captain won't be coming.
Felicia: What have you done with him?
Mitch: The captain and the crew have taken a little dip with the Baccarudas.
Felicia: "The Baccarudas"?
Mitch: It's my ship, and you're mine!
Felicia: My father -- my father is a personal friend of the governor of Jamaica!
Mitch: Don't hold no sway with me. The Caribbean is mine from Santo Domingo to Tortugas, from Florida to Santo Cristo, from --
Felicia: It's ok, I got it.
Mitch: Yeah. You got it, all right.
Felicia: Oh --
Mitch: I'd say you got it. I'd say you take a pretty penny in Hispaniola.
Felicia: You're going to sell me?
Mitch: Mmm, of course. Would sell me mother if I had one.
Felicia: How dreadfully awful and hideous and terrible you really are!
Mitch: Lovely, ain't it? Oh, yeah. I think you'll do quite nicely on the block. Not just yet. Not until bloody mike has had his way with you.
Felicia: No! Oh, no.
No, no. No! No, no, no. Felicia: No.
Felicia: No, no, no --
Mitch: "No," what?
Felicia: Mitch! Hi.
Felicia: Uh -- hi.
Mitch: Gosh, look at this table. It's beautiful.
Felicia: It's beautiful, yeah.
Mitch: I know everything is cold.
Felicia: No, I was trying to keep it warm, but I just couldn't figure out how.
Mitch: You look beautiful.
Felicia: Thank you.
Mitch: I'm sorry. I -- I don't guess it does any good to say that I lost track of time.
Felicia: It's all right.
Mitch: No, it's not all right. Look at this dinner. I thought I'd come up with something special --
Felicia: Honey --
Mitch: For the anniversary, and, gosh, I can't believe that I'm --
Felicia: It's ok, really.
Mitch: No, it's not ok. I just wanted to let you know how much it means to me to be married to someone as wonderful as you are. I love you. I can't believe it, I blew it.
Felicia: Well, not all of it.
Felicia: No. The night is young.
Mitch: That's true.
Felicia: And I wasn't all that hungry anyway.
Mitch: No, I know -- I know you're just saying that just to make me feel better.
Felicia: No, I'm not just saying that. I mean, look at this. This is veal and a little salad and a little rice. I mean, who needs that, right?
Mitch: Right. Well, I can do without that if you can.
Felicia: Sure you can. There's always breakfast.
Mitch: Yes, we should have an appetite by then.
Felicia: Yes, we should have.
Mitch: But I had this evening planned, you know?
Felicia: Honey --
Mitch: The first part being dinner, and then the next part dancing.
Felicia: Oh. Well, that would certainly work up an appetite, wouldn't it?
Mitch: Maybe Missis might settle for just the dancing?
Felicia: Mrs. Blake would love to settle.
Mitch: I just happen to have a selection of music I think you'll like for the occasion.
Felicia: Well, I think that we shouldn't wait a minute more.
Singer: You're so right for what's wrong in my life you're as right as rain how can I explain? You just fill
Mitch: I love you.
Singer: Every void in my life oh, so right for what's wrong
Singer: Fingers reaching searching for the touch
Sam: Olivia, what is going on? Where are you taking me?
Olivia: To the pool.
Sam: The pool?
Olivia: Yeah, for a swim.
Sam: No. No, no, no -- Olivia: Yes, yes, yes, Sam. It's the perfect night for it.
Sam: Olivia, it is freezing outside.
Sam: It's not swimming weather. They're draining the pool tomorrow.
Olivia: Well, all the more reason to take advantage of it tonight.
Sam: No. No way. No, no.
Olivia: Yes, yes, Sam, it's going to be great. You'll love it!
Sam: Olivia, listen, this is the kind of weather where you want to sit next to a fireplace and drink hot chocolate.
Olivia: Not if you're an adventurous person.
Sam: I'm a cold person. It's 45 degrees out here, hon.
Olivia: Are you afraid of catching a cold?
Sam: No, I am not afraid of catching a cold. I haven't caught a cold in 10 years.
Olivia: What are you afraid of?
Olivia: Could it be, Sam, that perhaps you're a little bit settled in your ways now, a tad conservative maybe?
Sam: Olivia --
Olivia: I know -- you're just too old for this stuff.
Sam: Oh, that's it, that's it. All right, I am as adventurous -- freezing or not -- as you are. And it is the last night before next summer.
Olivia: So --
Sam: All right, what the hell. I'll go see if there's some suits in the bathhouse.
Olivia: You need a suit?
Sam: Yeah, don't you?
Sam: Why? You going to swim in your clothes?
Olivia: Don't be silly.
Sam: Uh, Olivia -- uh, what are you doing?
Olivia: Haven't you ever heard of skinny-dipping?
Olivia: Oh, Sam, it's great. Oh, come on in, Sam. The water's just fabulous. Come on. Feels really good.
Rachel: What's the connection?
Griffen: Lucas, you're taking chances. You've never done this before.
Lucas: Don't talk to me about taking chances, Mr. Ballet director.
Griffen: Well, maybe I was tired of trafficking in stolen art, and all the other niceties we handle.
Lucas: You never complained about it before.
Griffen: But now you're doing things like this just for fun.
Lucas: That is not why I'm doing it.
Griffen: This thing is all over the papers, it's all over the news. Everybody in this town knows about Rachel Coryís lost red swan.
Lucas: So what? They can't connect me with it. All I have to do is put it with the rest of these props at the "Sophisticate" photo shoot. Nobody's going to know the difference.
Griffen: Is this how you get your kicks, waving this thing under people's noses?
Lucas: Oh, listen to me --
Griffen: I'm involved now, too, Lucas. And I never would've touched that bird if I'd known you weren't going to sell it.
Lucas: I have never steered you wrong, have I?
Lucas: In fact, we have both gotten pretty rich doing what I say. And now I say we keep the red swan.
Griffen: But you've made arrangements to sell it.
Griffen: So what's going to happen when you renege? Who's going to suffer the consequences? You or me?
Derek: Hey, Jamie --
Jamie: Not now.
Derek: Hey, Jamie, just tell me she's going to be --
Jamie: Stand back, Derek!
Derek: Hey, come on, man, I got to know.
Jamie: Derek, get out of here and let me help Stacey!
Derek: Please --
