[Music ends]

Stacey: Oh, Jamie. Jamie? Hey. Your papers.

Jamie: Stacey.

Stacey: They're going all over the place here.

Jamie: Huh? Oh. Wow, thank you.

Stacey: Yeah, you need to go home and get some rest.

Jamie: No, I'm ok, I'm ok. I just closed my eyes for a sec. Oh, boy.

Stacey: Hmm, you need a little bit more than a nap. I think you should go home and put yourself into bed.

Singer: Anything you want you got it anything you need

Bridget: Victoria?

Singer: You got it anything at all

Bridget: Victoria!

Vicky: Oh.

Bridget: My, you certainly are in a good mood today!

Vicky: Is this too loud for Steven?

[Music stops]

Bridget: It's not too loud for Steven. He could sleep through anything, but not me.

Vicky: Oh.

Bridget: Are you going out, dear?

Vicky: Oh, no, just want to look super-fantabulous.

Bridget: Why, has something happened?

Vicky: No, not yet.

Bridget: You did talk to Jamie, didnít you?

Vicky: No, but I will, because today is the day.

Bridget: What is it today, huh?

Vicky: Well, Jamieís coming home! And once he gets here, he is going to stay.

Bridget: Well, how do you know that, dear? I mean, he doesn't even want to see you.

Vicky: I've got an idea.

Bridget: Oh, Victoria, those four horrible words.

Vicky: I've got a plan that's going to work. Just watch me.

Donna: Hmm. I really should put those in another photo album. Half of them are falling out. Oh, look at this. How beautiful. Want something to eat? No.

Donna: Why donít we take a walk? Nicole? I really wish you would tell me what happened. Cass is such an idiot. I know that this whole thing is his fault, and I wish that you would tell me.

Nicole: Donna, do you remember this day?

Donna: Yeah. That's you and me on our way out to the Hampton's. Remember that summer? You got so sunburned you couldn't even move. Look at these hairdos.

Nicole: We were so happy then, so innocent.

Felicia: Honey, hi.

Cass: Hi.

Felicia: What happened?

Cass: What? Oh, it's been raining.

Felicia: No, no, no, not the rain. The wedding. What happened?

Cass: It just didnít come off.

Felicia: I know. Mitch told me, but you tell me. What happened? You and Nicole had everything planned and --

Cass: Felicia, we found out who killed Jason Frame.

Felicia: What?

Cass: We should have you out of here by tomorrow morning.

Felicia: Oh, my God.

Cass: We have to petition for a new trial, but when the D.A. sees the evidence, I donít think there will be any delay in the proceedings.

Felicia: Never mind about all that. You're not kidding me? I mean, I really am free?

Cass: Yes, soon.

Felicia: I canít believe it. Oh, I canít believe it. I knew you would do it. How did you figure out -- how'd you solve it? I mean, tell me, who is it? I mean, who killed Jason?

Jake: What do you mean, it's too late?

Marley: Well, usually people do this on their honeymoon.

Jake: So what are we supposed to do now, get old and feeble?

Marley: Well --

Jake: You know what?

Marley: What?

Jake: She thinks I'm going to drop her.

Marley: Oh, Jake! Oh, you. You. Where did you find this place?

Jake: Oh, I checked around. I wanted it to be absolutely perfect.

Marley: Oh, it is.

Bellman: Ahem. If you need anything else, sir, just --

Marley: Oh.

Bellman: Just dial 307.

Jake: Sorry. Here you go. And donít forget that other stuff, all right? Great. Whew.

Marley: Oh, Jake. Our own fireplace?

Jake: Well, it still gets a little chilly up here this time of year.

Marley: Ooh! And look at this view! Oh!

Jake: So you like it?

Marley: Oh, I love it! Who wouldnít? I canít believe you did all this just for three days away.

Jake: I wanted this place to be special. I wanted this to be a place that we would always remember.

Marley: Why this place?

Jake: Because from this day on for the rest of our lives, I want to start over.

Marley: A new beginning.

Jake: A new beginning. Every problem and everything that's gone wrong, I want all that to be history.

Marley: You --

[Knock on door]

Marley: Oh. What is this?

Jake: Right on time.

Marley: What is this? More surprises, you?

Jake: This is just the beginning.

Marley: Oh. Oh. Oh, champagne? Why, thank you. Oh. Jake?

Jake: Yes?

Marley: You are spoiling me.

Vicky: Well, I woke up this morning and it came to me clear as a bell.

Bridget: About Jamie?

Vicky: Well, about both of us, because as angry as he is, he's still got to be hurting just as much as I am.

Bridget: Oh, I'm sure he is, dear.

Vicky: And nobody can tell me that he doesn't miss Steven. Well, maybe he even misses me a little.

Bridget: Of course he does, dear. It's just that, well, he's so angry, you see.

Vicky: I know, but we're going to change all that today. Do you like these?

Bridget: Very nice, dear. Now, how are you going to do this?

Vicky: What?

Bridget: How are you going to change Jamieís mind?

Vicky: Well, I donít know. I have to come up with a reason for him to come here, something that'll work.

Bridget: Victoria, you're not going to do your tricks, not again? You're going to make him angrier than he already is.

Vicky: Now, I canít tell him that Stevenís sick because I've already used that one.

Bridget: Victoria, you canít do this, dear.

Vicky: What am I supposed to do, wait around for divine intervention?

Bridget: You get so desperate --

Vicky: Desperate?

Bridget: You donít even think!

Vicky: Desperate! That's it!

Bridget: What's it?

Vicky: Oh, oh.

Bridget: What are you going to do.

Vicky: This is good. This will work.

Bridget: Who are you calling? Victoria?

Vicky: Ok. Yes, could you please page Dr. Frame for me? This is his wife.

Bridget: Victoria, you canít play another trick on him, dear. He's going to be more furious than ever with you.

Vicky: Not if he doesn't find out.

Jamie: What is it, Vicky?

Vicky: Jamie, there has been an emergency and I donít know what to do.

Jamie: What's the matter?

Vicky: Well, the stove went haywire and it wonít work at all.

Jamie: You called me because the stove is broken?

Vicky: Well, yes. It's just that I got so desperate I didnít know what else to do, and the stove isnít really working, so I canít even heat up Stevenís bottles. Can you please come over and check it out?

Jamie: Call a repairman, Vicky.

Vicky: What?

Jamie: They're in the yellow pages.

Vicky: The repairman. Yes. That's a good idea.

Jamie: Anything else?

Vicky: Help me, help me.

Bridget: You smell smoke.

Vicky: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, Jamie, I smell smoke.

Jamie: What?

Vicky: I smell smoke! I've got to go get Steven from the other room!

Jamie: Take Steven and leave the house!

[Dial tone]

Jamie: Vicky? Vicky?

Felicia: I canít believe this. I mean, you actually found out who killed Jason. Who was it? What was his name? Oh, no, wait a minute, not "his" name, right? Her name. Am I right?

Cass: Yes, you are.

Felicia: Iris. I knew it.

Cass: Listen to me --

Felicia: You know, I heard about Mac, that he didnít even come to the party because of her. Wow, I want to hear everything, every little -- oh, my God, is that why you called off your wedding?

Cass: Yes.

Felicia: Oh, Cass, I'm so sorry.

Cass: No, I'm sorry that I didnít know before.

Felicia: I'm really going to make this up to you, all of it -- and Nicole. I want you to tell Nicole something for me. Tell her I want to see her the minute that I get out of here, all right? Honey? What's the matter?

Cass: I want to tell you the whole story.

Felicia: Of course. And I want to hear the whole -- there's something you're not telling me. Now, what is it?

Cass: No, no, I'm ok.

Felicia: Cass?

Cass: What?

Felicia: Are you sure?

Cass: Yes.

Felicia: Ok. All right. Well, tell me everything. I mean, how did you do it, how did you solve it?

Cass: Actually, Frankie Frame solved it.

Felicia: Really?

Cass: She had Derek hypnotized, and while he was under, he remembered something that he saw just before the shooting.

Felicia: What?

Cass: Earrings. The woman who struggled with Jason was wearing a very distinctive pair of earrings.

Felicia: Did he actually see her?

Cass: Not clearly, but finally he remembered the earrings, and Frankie did the rest, and then she told me.

Felicia: Details. I'm telling you, details, they always pay off, donít they? So, and what did you do? I mean, you went right to Iris and confronted her?

Cass: It wasn't Iris.

Felicia: But you just said it was Iris. Wait -- oh, no. No, you didnít, did you? I said that. I was jumping to conclusions, as usual, but -- well, come on, who was it?

Cass: The earrings were on our dresser in our bedroom.

Felicia: What?

Cass: It was -- honey, it was Nicole.

Felicia: Oh, my God. No. This canít be true. This canít be.

Cass: I want you to know everything, and then I have to go. I have a lot to do.

Felicia: Honey, listen to me, I'm sure she didnít mean it.

Cass: No, of course not. They were arguing and apparently he was threatening me. She honestly believed that he might kill me.

Felicia: Well, because of that lawsuit?

Cass: Yes. Anyway, he had a gun and they struggled and it went off.

Felicia: So it would be considered an accident, no?

Cass: Definitely.

Felicia: And they'll find her innocent. I know they will.

Cass: Oh, sure, and we'll plead it that way. I'm sure we can get her off. I mean, Nicole is so -- Nicole is such Ė

[Restaurant noise] Music

Stacey: You look tired.

Jamie: Oh, it's just my schedule, that's all. You know doctor's hours.

Stacey: Well, then you got to change it. I'm not kidding you.

Jamie: Listen, didnít I get a message from you on my answering service recently?

Stacey: Oh, yeah. I wanted you to take a look at Cass, but he insisted on checking himself out.

Jamie: Oh, right. Yeah, I know what happened.

Stacey: Yeah. He'll be all right, I think. It's a little tough on everybody right now.

Jamie: Yeah.

Stacey: But -- oh, excuse me for a second, all right?

Jamie: No problem.

Stacey: Thanks, thanks. Oh, gosh, I appreciate it. It was at the gazebo?

Derek: Yeah.

Stacey: Oh, terrific -- because it's not the cash, it's the I.D., The credit cards, you know, that kind of thing you worry about.

Derek: No, no, I donít know that.

Stacey: Oh. Well, that's what it is for me.

Derek: How's Cass?

Stacey: Well, he checked himself out. He wanted to talk to Felicia.

Derek: You sure he's all right?

Stacey: No, I'm not sure. He had a fever, and who knows with that. I'm worried about him. Would you come down to the prison with me? I want to check to make sure he's all right.

Derek: Sure. Come on.

Stacey: Perfect. I'll talk to you later.

[Phone rings]

Vicky: Let it ring.

[Ringing stops]

Vicky: There. That ought to do it.

Bridget: Are you sure it was Jamie?

Vicky: Positive. He'll be here soon. Time to get ready! Whoo!

Donna: There. Thank God for tea. At least it doesn't burn.

Nicole: Look at this picture of mama. She could always make me feel better.

Donna: Well, you and mother were always very close. I know she would be proud of all your accomplishments and the fact that you have your own fashion design house.

Donna: Nicole, I know that you wish mother were here to talk to you, but she's not. There's just me.

Nicole: I hate him!

Donna: Well, of course you do. That's a very natural reaction to have. Cass is --

Nicole: No, he took away the one person who cared about me, who loved me, the only person I could always turn to. Oh, I hate him!

Donna: Who are you talking about?

Nicole: Jason.

Donna: Jason Frame? What made you think of him?

Nicole: He killed mama.

Donna: Oh, no, Nicole. Daddy did. He even admitted it.

Nicole: No, that was a lie, just like half the things he said. Donna, it was Jason.

Donna: Nicole, I --

Nicole: No, I know it was because he told me. He looked me right in the eye and he smiled, and his breath stank of beer, and he said he killed her! Oh, and he deserved it, Donna! He deserved to die!

Felicia: It does make sense, doesn't it? I mean, she was there. No one would have ever suspected.

Cass: I should have known. I lived with her.

Felicia: No.

Cass: I should have seen it.

Felicia: Honey, you were too close.

Cass: If we hadn't been engaged, she would have been on my list of suspects.

Felicia: What did Nicole say when you told her that you knew?

Cass: Never mind. I canít get into that right now. I'm just so sorry.

Felicia: No.

Cass: None of this would have happened if I had known.

Felicia: Stop blaming yourself, Cass.

Cass: Honey, come on, this is my mea culpa scene. Let me play it out.

Felicia: No. No, you're not going to play it out. Now, you stop it. I just -- I just donít understand Nicole. I mean, all through the trial?

Cass: I know, pretending to be your friend.

Felicia: To keep seeing me every single day. I mean, she was always trying to cheer me up.

Cass: Always there to help.

Felicia: Picked out my wardrobe for the court. She was so sympathetic to me, so sympathetic. And she just sat there. She sat there while they put me away in this place. Oh, God, honey. I'm so sorry. I know how you must be feeling right now.

Cass: It's strange, because I canít quite stop feeling -- I canít allow myself to feel anything right now. I still have too much to do.

Felicia: You have somebody that you can spend the evening with?

Cass: Oh. You quit worrying about me. Think about yourself for a change. You're getting out of here.

Felicia: I know. You're going to go see Nicole now, aren't you? Maybe -- maybe this is something that Zack should handle for you.

Cass: No. I have to do this myself. For her and for me. I love you.

Felicia: I love you, too.

Marley: Oh.

Marley: Oh.

Jake: Like I said, there's more surprises to come.

Marley: Oh, Jake.

Jake: That dress is incredible.

Marley: This is so lovely.

Jake: I'm glad you like it. Especially since you haven't even tasted it yet.

Marley: Oh, I'm sure it'll be wonderful.

Jake: Well, I didnít want to eat in a dining room, not tonight, not with all those other people.

Marley: Oh, candles, champagne, a rose.

Jake: An orchestra.

Marley: What?

Jake: Very inexpensive, but they donít do requests.

[Romantic music plays]

Jake: May I? Table for two.

Marley: Oh. Oh, my. Ooh.

Jake: Whoo!

Marley: Oh, Jake.

Jake: Let's see, what's this?

Marley: Oysters? My favorite!

Jake: I know.

Marley: Oh, you hate them.

Jake: I love you so much that I could even eat things that -- you can have them all.

Marley: Mmm.

Jake: To new beginnings.

Marley: Hmm. To new beginnings with someone I love.

Jake: With someone I love.

Marley: I really canít believe this. We are really here, away from everything.

Jake: Well, like I said, there's more to come.

Marley: Well, now, what could possibly top all this? Oh.

Jake: I have some news, and I donít think there's a better time to tell you than right now.

Marley: What?

Jake: I think I may have a baby for us.

Bridget: That's a good boy. Hey, come on. Come here, look, tell me a story, eh? Come on, there. Victoria? Victoria, I smell smoke! Victoria! Oh, my God.

Vicky: Relax, Bridget!

Bridget: Victoria, there's smoke! Oh.

[Vicky coughs]

Vicky: I had to put Stevenís bottle in a pan and turn the heat up high.

Bridget: Well, close the door, for heaven's sakes! Why did you do that?

Vicky: Well, if I smelled smoke, then Jamie should smell smoke when he walks in, right?

Bridget: That's right. If he comes.

Vicky: Oh, he'll be here. I know Jamie.

Bridget: Yes. You didnít even have your dinner, you know, dear.

Vicky: Well, that's because I want to keep everything warm until Jamie gets here.

Bridget: Oh, aye, aye.

Vicky: Oh, oh, I pulled the knob off the burner, so it should be just right.

Bridget: Why did you do that?

Vicky: Well, because it's got to at least look like something's wrong. Now, I've got to change into something that will knock his socks off, and then you can take the night off.

Bridget: Well, I guess I could go to a movie. Are you sure you want me to go?

Vicky: Why are you looking at me like that?

Bridget: Well, it's that dress. Oh, never mind.

Vicky: Bridget, I've got to have some ammunition.

Bridget: Yes, but if you wear that dress and Jamie walks in expecting that you're not expecting him, you've got that on --

Vicky: Oh, right, right, right. Subtle. We've got to be subtle.

Bridget: Yes, well, I think you look just fine the way you are, dear. Come on, love, let's go.

Vicky: Ah, just the way I am. A little disheveled, yet charming, maybe a little vulnerable.

Bridget: Yes, there we go. There we go.

Vicky: Definitely vulnerable.

Bridget: Yes! Yes. Yes, well, you know -- are you sure, I mean, that you donít want me here, just in case something goes wrong --

Vicky: Bridget, this is going to work. You've got to trust me.

Bridget: All right. You do know, dear, donít you, that I want you to be happy, and I want Jamie to be happy, too.

Vicky: I know. Well, we will be if I can just change his mind.

Bridget: Yes, well, then I'll go to that movie, then.

Vicky: Ok.

Bridget: I'll get my things.

Vicky: Well, yes, because we're going to bring Daddy home, aren't we? Daddy's going to be home, little Steven. Yes, he is.

Bridget: Shall I call you from the movie?

Vicky: Bridget, this is going to work!

Bridget: Aye. Aye.

Vicky: Aye. So long. All right. We've got just one place setting, one lonely place setting because we're not expecting him. No, we've got to act surprised, surprised that he walks in, and we should be vulnerable. Well, a little vulnerable. Ok. Please, God, just give me this one chance.

[Key turns in lock]

Vicky: Oh, my God. Ooh.

Vicky: Jamie! What are you doing here?

[Organ plays]

[Wedding music plays]

Minister's voice: Cass, do you take Nicole to be your lawfully wedded wife? Will you love her and comfort her, honor and keep her as long as you both shall live?

Cass: No.

Cass: No, God. No. No! No! Oh, no. No. No. Oh, my Ė

Jamie: I put the control knob back on the stove.

Vicky: Oh, thank you. I donít know how it came off. I really donít.

Jamie: Yeah, well, it's fixed now.

Vicky: Oh, good. Did you hear that? We aren't going to have any more cold bottles.

Jamie: How did you make dinner?

Vicky: Dinner?

Jamie: Hmm, yes. Well, everything looked ready to me.

Vicky: Oh, well, Bridget made it in the microwave.

Jamie: Yeah, well, you should have a repairman take a look at it in the morning.

Vicky: I will. I really canít thank you enough.

Jamie: Yeah.

Vicky: You donít know how hard it is being here all alone and having a little baby.

Jamie: You know, I called you after you hung up on me. Where were you?

Vicky: Oh, that was when I ran across the street to see if the neighbors could keep Steven away from the fumes, you know?

Jamie: The Baxterís?

Vicky: Yes, I guess -- I guess I wasn't thinking, because I called the repairman, too, and they didnít pick up the line. I guess they went to Europe, too.

Jamie: Whatever it was, it's ok now.

Vicky: Thank you.

Jamie: Jake and I both have taken the paternity test.

Vicky: Yes, I know, and it's just going to prove that you --

Jamie: So I'll let you get back to dinner now.

Vicky: Well, donít you want to hold Steven, now that you're here, I mean?

Jamie: No, I donít think so.

Vicky: I mean, he misses you. He recognizes your voice, and he just wonders why his daddy went away. If you could just do it, for his sake?

Jamie: No. No, I canít.

Vicky: Bridgetís not here, and I've just been dying to take a hot bath. Half an hour? I wonít bother you. I just thought that maybe you could feed him his bottle and rock him to sleep?

Jamie: Donít be long.

Vicky: I wonít.

Jamie: Hi. Hi.

Vicky: Thank you.

Jamie: Oh. How's my big fella, huh? Are you hungry? I'll bet you're hungry, being so big, huh? How are you? How are you? Oh Ė

Stacey: Hi.

Felicia: Hi. You know, the guards know that something is up because they're letting me have visitors anytime I want.

Stacey: So then Cass was here?

Felicia: Yes. Derek, thank you.

Stacey: Felicia, did Cass look ok?

Felicia: Yeah, he's ok.

Stacey: Listen, did he mention anything about talking to Nicole?

Felicia: I think he was on his way over there. Oh, God, Stacey, I never would have dreamed it would end like this.

Stacey: I know, none of us did.

Felicia: I prayed every day that Cass would find the real killer, but, I mean, Nicole --

Stacey: I know. I know. Listen, you're getting out of here soon.

Felicia: Yeah, I am. You think I could talk to Derek for just a minute?

Stacey: Sure.

Derek: Hi.

Felicia: Thank you, again.

Derek: I didnít do anything.

Felicia: Oh, now, wait a minute, that's not the way I heard it.

Derek: No.

Felicia: Honey, I'm going to be free, and it is because of you.

Derek: Frankie did most of the work.

Felicia: Well, I'll thank her when I get out. Right now I just want to give you a big hug. Twice you have saved my life. I donít know how I'm supposed to thank you.

Derek: You know, I donít know how you made it in here this long.

Felicia: It's been ok, really.

Derek: You know, I wouldnít have lasted a day in here.

Felicia: I know that. That's why I didnít want you to testify on the stand.

Derek: Fanny, look, I told Stacey everything. I hope that's all right. You know I trust her.

Donna: Nicole, I'm your sister! You can talk to me!

Nicole: Oh, God, it's a little late now for talk.

Donna: You said Jason was responsible for mother's death. Why didnít you tell me that before?

Nicole: It's not something I could talk about.

Donna: But you canít keep these things bottled up inside. It's not healthy.

Nicole: Oh. I just couldn't face it.

Donna: You know what I think? I think this all has to do with Cass.

Nicole: In a way.

Donna: Yes, you're angry at him. He was defending Felicia because of Jasonís death, and I think you've gotten this all confused.

[Doorbell rings]

Donna: Well, it's about time you showed up, although I'm surprised you even have the gall to show your face here after what you've done to my sister. She's been in tears ever since you left her standing at the altar.

Nicole: I've been expecting you.

Nicole: Donna, I think that Cass and I need to be --

Donna: I think Cass better come up with a very good explanation.

Nicole: Donna, please, we need to be alone.

Donna: All right. But I'll be in the other room if you need me.

Nicole: Are you all right? I've really been worried about you.

Cass: I'm ok.

Nicole: You look -- I guess that's not important.

Cass: No.

Nicole: Well, I suppose you've called the police.

Cass: I had to.

Nicole: That's right. Lawyers are all officers of the court, aren't they?

Cass: Yes. I want you to know that you will have legal representation right from the start. You wonít have to worry --

Nicole: You'll help me, Cass?

Cass: Zack will help you.

Nicole: Oh. Oh. I wish -- I wish there was some way I could explain to you.

Cass: I donít think there is.

Nicole: I'm just -- I'm just -- I'm so sorry I did this to you. I know what I did was wrong, I know what I did to Felicia was wrong, but what I did to you, Cass -- God. You hate me, donít you?

Cass: I'm confused and I donít know what I'm feeling right now. Just empty, I guess. Just empty.

Nicole: When are the police coming?

Cass: They're waiting outside.

Nicole: Oh.

Nicole: Well, then, I guess you'd better tell them to come up.

Jamie: When the wind blows the cradle

Vicky: You should have seen him this morning. We were sitting on the changing table, you know, and all of a sudden, I donít know how it happened, but the clock radio went off and this rock music started filling the place.

Jamie: What did he do?

Vicky: Well, he was dancing. You know how he starts kicking his legs and everything?

Jamie: Like a dancer?

Vicky: Yes, right to the beat of the music. He was so adorable. And he was just laughing and singing and playing and dancing. Oh.

Jamie: Right. Well, listen, I should be going.

Vicky: Oh, I'm sorry. I really didnít mean to bother you.

Jamie: No, that's ok.

Vicky: You just play with him. I've got to get something to eat anyway.

Jamie: No, I really have to be going.

Vicky: Have you eaten?

Jamie: It's ok.

Vicky: Oh, come on, Jamie, you've got to be sick of that hospital food by now. I've got plenty.

Jamie: Vicky, this wonít work.

Vicky: What?

Jamie: Getting me to come over here to fix a stove that was never broken so we can have dinner together.

Vicky: Well, I wasn't planning to have you here. All I'm doing is offering you some food. All I have to do is get another place.

Jamie: Vicky --

Vicky: You -- you fixed my stove for me. I mean, you did smell the smoke when you came in, right?

Jamie: Yes, I did.

Vicky: So you fixed it. I owe you one. I owe you a lot. Come on, I tell you what, why donít you just go play with Steven a little bit more and I'll -- I'll go get the other place. Ok? I'll be right back.

[Music plays]

Marley: I canít stand this!

Jake: What, you donít like the chocolate mousse?

Marley: Would you tell me about the baby?

Jake: I'm sorry, I shouldnít have just thrown it out like that.

Marley: But you did, and please tell me what's going on. Did you go to an agency or something?

Jake: I'm being serious now.

Marley: Ok.

Jake: I know how much this means to you.

Marley: When can it happen?

Jake: Marley --

Marley: What?

Jake: I didnít want to give you any of the details in case it didnít pan out. I didnít want us to get hurt.

Marley: But it's for sure, right? I mean, it's a definite possibility, for sure? Am I right?

Jake: It's a definite possibility.

Marley: Oh! A baby.

Jake: I didnít know whether or not to tell you. I mean, which is worse, to see you disappointed or hide it from you totally, you know?

Marley: No, just to know that there's a chance, I mean, just --

Jake: We may know in a couple of weeks.

Marley: A couple of weeks?

Jake: I hope, I hope.

Marley: Oh! Ok, I'll make you a promise. I donít know if I'll be able to keep it, but I'll try to make you a promise.

Jake: What?

Marley: Well, I wonít bring it up. I'll try not to bring it up. I'll try to wait for you to bring it up to me, ok?

Jake: Ok.

Marley: What's the matter?

Jake: Nothing.

Marley: Why are you staring at me like that?

Jake: Because you're beautiful. I love to see you when you're happy. Marley, I donít think you know how beautiful you really are.

Marley: You make me happy, Jake.

Man: That certain

Singers: Moment

Jake: I donít think I can ever remember wanting you as much as I want you right now.

Singers: When I loved you when I loved you

Woman: Nothing lived

Man: Nothing lived

[Doorbell rings]

Cass: I'll let them in.

Nicole: No. I will.

Donna: Was that the bell?

Nicole: Yes. Donna --

Donna: Why are you crying? What did he say?

Nicole: Donna, you've got to listen. There's no time.

Donna: What happened? What happened?

Nicole: I'm going to be arrested.

Donna: What?

Nicole: Yes.

Donna: That's insane! Cass! Cass, do something!

Nicole: No.

Donna: Cass?

Nicole: No, Donna, there's nothing he can do. I shot Jason.

Donna: What?

Courtney: Nicole Love?

Nicole: Yes.

Courtney: You are under arrest. Do you understand?

Nicole: Yes.

Courtney: You have the right to remain silent. If you waive the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law. Do you understand?

Nicole: Yes.

Courtney: You have the right to have an attorney present --

Donna: Oh, God.

Courtney: At any and all questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand?

Cass: Oh, please, is that necessary?

Courtney: Listen, we can finish this in the car.

Nicole: Thank you.

Donna: Oh -- oh, God!

Nicole: Cass, you're coming with me, aren't you?

Felicia: I'm glad that Derek told you.

Stacey: So am I. I understand now why you didnít want him to take the stand.

Felicia: It's just that I didnít know what they would do if they found out that he'd killed Noah, even if he was protecting me.

Stacey: Well, I doubt they could prosecute. If he was 10 years old, he was still a juvenile.

Derek: But that's not all. I lived on the streets since then. I had to do a lot of things just to stay alive.

Stacey: So you have a record?

Derek: And now you've got to tell them everything I did to Noah. Donít you?

Stacey: Technically and legally, yeah. I'm going to have to tell them all that I know about Noah Grady's death. That is if they ask.

Felicia: And since they donít know --

Stacey: And since they donít know, then they'll never ask.

Felicia: Thank God for technicalities, huh?

Stacey: Now what you two have to do is just let it go. Take those days back in Chicago and put them where they belong, which is in the past.

Felicia: I'm just not sure I can do that. I got a letter from Lucas.

Stacey: Lucas?

Derek: Lucas was the father of Fanny's baby. Do you mind? Did you hear from Lucas?

Felicia: Yes, I did.

Derek: What'd he say?

Felicia: Not much, really. He was very cryptic.

Derek: Well, what took him so long to reach you? I mean, he must have read about it just like I did.

Felicia: I donít know. I wonder if I ever really did understand him. I keep wondering what kind of person he's become.

Man: I need a room.

Clerk: Sign here. How long are you planning on staying?

Man: I'll let you know.

Clerk: We will need a last name, sir. Lucas --

Lucas: It's just Lucas. Take it or leave it.

Vicky: Is he asleep.

Jamie: Yeah.

Vicky: Thank you. Dinner will be ready in just a couple of minutes.

Jamie: I've decided not to stay.

Vicky: What? I thought that we --

Jamie: I know. I changed my mind. I'm going now. Good night.

Vicky: Jamie, please stay?
