Episode #10-6: "Harvest"
October 29, 2010
Directed By: Turi Meyer
The Official CW Description: CLARK TRIES TO KEEP LOIS SAFE — Clark (Tom Welling) is concerned about Lois’ (Erica Durance) safety so he diverts her away from covering the Vigilante Registrations Act by suggesting she cover another story. After he comes clean with her, an angry Lois tells him that she can take care of herself, but when a flat tire strands their car in the middle of nowhere, their plans take a turn for the worse and Lois ends up in serious danger. Meanwhile, Tess (Cassidy Freeman) searches for a cure for Alexander (guest star Connor Stanhope), who is rapidly aging. Turi Meyer directed the episode written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer (#3X6007).
UPDATED 8/17/10: From Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly: This episode contains some good Clois action. “It’s a creepy ghost town episode, and Lois and Clark find themselves forced together,” reveals exec producer Brian Peterson. “He doesn’t have his powers, and she finds out a lot more about him than she thought she knew.”
UPDATED 8/10/10: Title Revealed.
- A title like that sounds like it'd make a great Thanksgiving episode. But judging by its closeness to Halloween, it's probably something scary instead.

From Kryptonsite.com:

Episode #10-1: "Lazarus" (Season Premiere)

September 24, 2010

Written By: Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson

UPDATED 7/25/10: Justin Hartley assumes his chest scar will be fixed because he is naked at some point early in the season. He also let it slip that a big part of his arc will involve Chloe, and that he will be "joining up," possibly with the Suicide Squad.
- The "villain from the past?" All interviews are pointing to it being a Lex clone. Brian Peterson tells us Lex "always has a back up plan."
- Allison Mack will be in the premiere as Chloe before leaving, though she will be back later in the season. A scene in the promo reel showed Chloe holding Doctor Fate's helmet.
- Lois says the word "Superman" in the preview reel.
- We DO see a costume, made up of the Brandon Routh suit. It is in the same box Martha left for Clark in the season finale.

UPDATED 7/22/10: New from Ausiello: "There’s a development [between Lois and Clark] in the premiere that is so ginormous you’d think Smallville was heading into its final season or something."

UPDATED 7/20/10: A sequence for the season premiere was filmed last week on location at the Kent Farm. The scene involved Tom Welling and John Schneider. (Thanks to "TWismycrush" on the KryptonSite Forums for that info!)

UPDATED 7/17/10: An enemy from Clark's past factors heavily into this story.
- There is a visit to the JSA brownstone in the season premiere.
- The show's producers have hinted that a mysterious "Skeleton Key" also is a part of the episode.
(If reposting this on another site, please be courteous and don't copy every single word - just send people here to read it all. Thanks!)

UPDATED 7/15/10: The presence of Jonathan Kent is just one of the big surprises planned for the episode.
- Chances are good that we will find an answer to whether or not Lois figured out Clark's "other identity" in this one.

john schneiderUPDATED 6/30/10: IGN has broken the news that John Schneider will be appearing in this episode, reprising his role as Jonathan Kent, last seen in Season 5. Could it be as part of a near-death experience for Clark?

UPDATED 6/16/10: Title Posted. Please do not re-post this on other sites without mentioning the title's source (KryptonSite) with a link to the site.
- The term "Lazarus" has been used before on the series, in Season Three, where it was a serum that brought a deceased human back to life for 12 hours, as had happened with Adam Knight. It's also well-known in the DC Comics universe as the "Lazarus Pit" is a term used in Batman comics, usually associated with Ra's Al Ghul. The Pit has rejuvenating abilities that can render someone youthful and nearly immortal. The fourth season premiere of Supernatural was titled "Lazarus Rising" and was about Dean's return to the world of the living, and of course there is the Lazarus referred to in the Christian Bible, a man who was restored to life by Jesus in the Book of John. Perhaps one or all of these things are clues on how Clark will survive his fall.

Episode #10-2: "Shield"  October 1, 2010

Written By: Jordan Hawley
Guest Stars: Michael Shanks (Carter Hall/Hawkman), Sahar Biniaz (Shayera), Keri Lynn Pratt (Cat Grant), Bradley Stryker (Deadshot)

UPDATED 8/22/10: It is possible that Gordon Godfrey (played by Michael Daingerfield) also appears in this episode.
- Oliver makes an important decision. No, it isn't to start drinking again, nor is it that he's quitting being Green Arrow again. And it's doubtful that decision is "give up on Chloe," so don't worry!

UPDATED 8/3/10: "Liam" is indeed the character of Deadshot from the Suicide Squad.
- Sahar Biniaz appears in a flashback sequence as Carter Hall's long-lost love Shayera. Read KryptonSite's original report.

UPDATED 7/26/10: TVGuide.com has revealed that Jessica Parker Kennedy will be returning in this episode as Plastique. Incidentally, the character that was originally planned to come in with the ability to teleport was supposed to be Nightshade of the Suicide Squad. Maybe she'll show up later in the season instead.

UPDATED 7/25/10: Lois has a scene in the desert with Carter Hall where she learns some things that makes her better understand the recent changes in her life.
- Cat Grant will indeed be played by Keri Lynn Pratt.
- We heard rumblings at the Con that the Suicide Squad's "Deadshot" will make an appearance. Could he be Liam? We didn't get to ask, sadly.

UPDATED 7/22/10: EW's Ausiello has confirmed that "Nancie" is indeed Cat Grant. Though we can't confirm it, a blonde is either close to or has already gotten the role...
- Apparently the "Liam" character is also a code for someone else. By the way, he's not a cowboy, just acts like one - and he has a bullet with Clark's name written on it.

UPDATED 7/19/10: KryptonSite can confirm that Michael Shanks will be appearing as Hawkman in this episode.
- It seems they might be casting the role of "Shayera" aka Hawkgirl for this episode, though this has not been confirmed by the studio, nor are we 100% sure this is for "Shield." Read the speculation at Rumorville.

UPDATED 7/14/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.
- A really annoying-seeming character named "Nancie" who has a son is in this episode. She comes to work at the Daily Planet, and she seems to be filling in while Lois is... where? We don't know. At one point she listens on the radio to someone named "Godfrey," which could be a reference to Glorious Godfrey of Darkseid lore. The radio "Godfrey" has a thing against "the hero menace," much like he did in the 1980's Legends comic book series.
- A character from the comics who works at the Daily Planet and at one point had a young son is Cat Grant. Could "Nancie" be a "Cassie/Zatanna, Melissa/Maxima" like diversion?
- The episode also includes a modern day cowboy named Liam who's gunning after Clark Kent - and a woman with the ability to teleport.

Episode #10-3: "Supergirl" October 8, 2010

Written By: Anne Cofell Saunders
Directed By: Mairzee Almas
Guest Stars: Laura Vandervoort (Kara)

UPDATED 8/23/10: New spoilers from TV Guide interviews with Kelly Souders and Laura Vandervoort:
- Laura says that Kara is returning in a "very heroic way," and it sounds likely that she will get her wish to be seen in the Supergirl uniform before she takes off.
- Kelly Souders tells TV Guide that Kara's outfit "will have evolved even a little more than Clark's. She's less Kara and more Supergirl."
laura vandervoort- Kara will become a "media darling" after she saves the world doing a heroic save, so she has to take on the alter ego of Linda Lee Danvers (seen to your right).
- Souders says that Kara has input down the road in Clark's transformation to Superman.

UPDATED 8/10/10: There is a scene in this episode that takes place in a club.
- Oliver and Kara finally meet.

UPDATED 7/14/10: Laura Vandervoort's return episode is called "Supergirl."

Episode #10-4: "Homecoming" (200th Episode) October 15, 2010

Written By: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Directed By: Jeannot Szwarc
Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac 5), Chad E. Donella (Greg Arkin)

UPDATED 8/20/10: Smallville's second meteor freak, Greg Arkin aka Bugboy, will be back!

UPDATED 8/17/10: There's a Homecoming dance that Clark and Lois attend at Smallville High. Tom Welling has been spotted with a red and yellow Crows jacket.
- Although it seems as though Allison Mack won't be in this episode, Chloe's presence at Smallville High will not be overlooked or forgotten.

UPDATED 8/10/10: James Marsters plays Brainiac 5, the future counterpart of his villain from previous seasons. Kelly Souders tells TV Guide that he is a "slippery fish with a questionable moral compass" despite being part of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
- There are at least two things in this episode that will make "Clois shippers" very happy.

UPDATED 7/15/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.

UPDATED 7/14/10: This will be the 200th episode of Smallville.

Episode #10-5: "Isis" October 22, 2010

Oh Mighty Isis!Written By: Genevieve Sparling
Directed By: James Marshall

UPDATED 8/10/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.
- The first thing that might come to mind with this title might be the Isis Foundation from previous seasons; however... we're going to go on a limb here and speculate that this has to do with the character of Isis. In the original TV series The Secrets of Isis starring Joanna Cameron, Isis was "a high school science teacher who gains the ability to call upon the powers of the goddess Isis after finding an Egyptian amulet during an archeological dig in Egypt." There was an Isis tie-in comic from DC in the 1970's and then the character - or a variation of her - was brought into DC continuity in the popular weekly series 52. Please note that the idea that the classic Isis character is the basis for this story is not confirmed at this time and that this is just speculation. Maybe we're wrong and this is the return of Lana and the Isis Foundation, or something.

One might note that an amulet strongly resembling the one from Isis did appear in the Season 10 promo trailer shown at Comic-Con.

Episode #10-6: "Harvest" October 29, 2010

UPDATED 8/17/10: From Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly: This episode contains some good Clois action. “It’s a creepy ghost town episode, and Lois and Clark find themselves forced together,” reveals exec producer Brian Peterson. “He doesn’t have his powers, and she finds out a lot more about him than she thought she knew.”

UPDATED 8/10/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.
- A title like that sounds like it'd make a great Thanksgiving episode. But judging by its closeness to Halloween, it's probably something scary instead.

Episode #10-7: "Ambush" November 2010

Directed By: Christopher Petry

UPDATED 8/20/10: This is the episode that will bring back Michael Ironside as General Lane and Peyton List as Lois' sister, Lucy.

UPDATED 8/10/10: Title Revealed. Please do not re-post without a LINK to KryptonSite and acknowledging the source.

General Smallville Season 10 Spoilers

UPDATED 7/25/10: Cassidy Freeman tells us that Tess might be taking on a "more Watchtowery" role and might possibly join the side of Clark and Oliver. She also teases her character has a secret from her past that we will learn later in the season.

UPDATED 5/28/10: Cassidy Freeman is listed as part of next year's cast on the Season 10 press release. Could that old lady have revived her? It appears she did...

UPDATED 5/19/10: In an exclusive statement to Michael Ausiello at EW.com, Allison Mack has confirmed that she will be leaving Smallville. However, she will be returning for a few episodes in Season 10 (the exact amount is not yet known)

“It’s amazing to think that Chloe Sullivan and I have been one in the same for over a third of my life,” she said in the statement posted at EW.com. “I’m truly humbled by the love and loyalty of all the fans whose enthusiasm has carried me — along with a cast and crew which has become my second family — over the past 9 and a half years. Out of respect for the amazingly loyal fans and the place I will always have in my own heart for Chloe, I’m coming back for several episodes next season to tie up Chloe’s Smallville legacy properly. It’s been a life-changing ride, and I look forward to what lies ahead with the strength of a ‘superhero’ as my foundation.”

UPDATED 5/15/10: Not a lot is known yet about the tenth season of Smallville, which will likely premiere in September.

Executive Producer Brian Peterson has said that the Season 9 finale, "Salvation," offered some hints as to who the villains in Season 10 might be. Whatever took Oliver away in the finale could be considered a clue; also, there's the matter of the old woman outside of Tess's room who some have suspected could be Granny Goodness, a character from Superman comics lore who also happens to be created by legendary Captain America, Fantastic Four, and X-Men co-creator Jack Kirby.

Granny Goodness also has some connections to the character Darkseid, which is also consistent with the references to Apokalips made earlier in the season. However, at this point that is merely speculation.

Tom Welling and Erica Durance are confirmed to be back, and unless Oliver's predicament pulls him off the show for a while, it's probably fair to assume Justin Hartley will also return.

It looks as though Callum Blue's Zod was taken to another place, so he probably won't be returning. On the flip side, considering whatever that old woman did in Tess's room, Cassidy Freeman might not be gone from Smallville just yet, especially since she's on the Season 10 cast list. Stay tuned. Right now most of the spoilers on this page seem speculative, but more solid information is not yet known at this time.

UPDATED 1/30/10: Actress Pam Grier posted on Twitter that she just "worked with the brilliant Phil Morris" on Smallville; in doing so, revealing that this is the episode featuring the return of the Martian Manhunter. (Thanks to KevStar!)

- With a title like this it's likely a safe bet to think that Pam Grier's Amanda Waller character will be involved. In the comics, Checkmate is a covert operations group within the DC Universe. With Checkmate involved, could the Suicide Squad be that far behind?

More Spoilers For Smallville Season 9

UPDATED 1/9/10: Ausiello says another Red Kryptonite episode may be coming in the future.

UPDATED 10/28/09: New stuff from EW's Michael Ausiello:
- Regarding the future for Clark and Lois: "They both have a few issues, so things never go as smoothly as you think," Souders told Ausiello. "But what’s great about the relationship, because it's sort of more adult, mature relationship, is it actually brings their issues up to the forefront, and makes them start dealing with them instead of being the younger versions of themselves, where they might not have been that conscious of it."
- Some "budding romance from an expected source" is in the cards for Chloe. Souders wouldn't confirm to Ausiello if it was Oliver, but she did reveal to him that during the second half of the season, "Chloe is going to meet a new hero who is not all that he's cracked up to be." The character might not come from DC Comics. "I don't think we got the rights to the name cleared," Souders said, "but it's somebody fans of the show will be familiar with."

Question: Any details on what brings Zatanna back to Smallville? —Jeffrey
Ausiello: I hear she’s going to stir up some love-triangle drama between Lois and Clark. The episode’s called “Warrior” and, as I scooped in the latest episode of Ausiello TV, it’s the one set at San Diego Comic-Con Metropolis Wonder-Con. In other Smallville news, Tom Welling’s practically naked — and he’s making out with Lois!
Question: Any hints about the new love interest for Chloe on Smallville? —Sandra

Who's Returning to Smallville? 10/29

from ausiellofiles.ew.com 10/28
Question: Will Clois move full-steam ahead on Smallville or will there be a monkey wrench that derails the train? —Murnice
Ausiello: While the relationship hasn’t exactly moved along faster than a speeding bullet, you’ll be glad to know that there are blue skies on the horizon — beginning with this week’s big smooch. “They both have a few issues, so things never go as smoothly as you think,” says exec producer Kelly Souders. “But what’s great about the relationship, because it’s sort of more adult, mature relationship, is it actually brings their issues up to the forefront, and makes them start dealing with them instead of being the younger versions of themselves, where they might not have been that conscious of it.”
Question: Will Clark ever find out about Lois’ so called “Sex Dream” on Smallville? —Lisa
Ausiello: “I would say tune into [episode 9] ‘Pandora,’” Souders teases. “Reality is relative in ‘Pandora,’ but I will say that when [Lois] goes to the future, there’s some skin there.” Souders adds that “‘Pandora’ is literally like a finale. It’s huge. You’ll see an alternate ending for everyone in the cast. You’ll see what could happen to them and the future is dramatic. You won’t be disappointed.”
Question: When will Clark put on the iconic glasses on Smallville? —Jackson
Ausiello: “There’s something coming up in these first nine episodes,” Souders reveals, “in which Clark might at least contemplate glasses.”
Question: Why has Allison Mack had so little screen time on Smallville this season? —Kathy
Ausiello: The calm before the storm, perhaps? “Chloe fans will not be disappointed,” Souders maintains. “There will be some budding romance in her life from an unexpected source.” Oliver? “I’m not saying.” In possibly related news, Souders reveals to me exclusively that during the second half of the season, “Chloe is going to meet a new hero who is not all that he’s cracked up to be.” Will this hero be carrying a DC Comics certificate of authenticity? “I don’t think we got the rights to his name cleared,” says Souders, “but it’s somebody fans of the show will be familiar with.” Guesses? Episode #9-1: "Savior"
Sept. 25, 2009

Written By: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Directed By: Kevin Fair
Guest Stars: Brian Austin Green (Metallo/John Corben), Alessandro Juliani (Dr. Emil Hamilton), Monique Ganderton (Alia), Terence Stamp (Voice of Jor-El) Sharon Taylor (Fiona; unconfirmed)
UPDATED 7/25/09: A scene between Clark and Jor-El in the season premiere may explain why Clark is not flying at this point.
UPDATED 7/23/09: Actress Sharon Taylor ("Amelia Banks" of Stargate: Atlantis) has booked a recurring role in Smallville Season 9. We're assuming the role she will be playing will be "Fiona." (See below for more details)
UPDATED 7/21/09: New stuff from TV Guide Magazine: Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is getting a little obsessed as the Red Blue Blur, his budding crime-fighting alias. "He is trying a little too hard to be a hero, and is leaving the rest of his life behind," executive producer Brian Peterson told the magazine.
John Corben (a.k.a. Metallo) is a new reporter at the Daily Planet who ends up with a Kryptonite heart. As for his backstory: "We know that there’s multiple versions of Metallo," executive producer Kelly Souders explained. "We picked one of the different versions and I think people will realize which one after the first episode."
- Regarding Zod: "We had a little peek at who Zod was a couple of seasons ago, which fans will remember. But this a different incarnation of Zod," Peterson said. "We’re introducing him as Major Zod—this is before he became General Zod." Souders added that "over the course of the season, the venomous side of Zod rises because he experiences a few key betrayals with our beloved characters." Read the entire TV Guide Magazine article
UPDATED 7/11/09: Monique Ganderton, an actress who has also served on Smallville as Cassidy Freeman's stunt double, has apparently been cast in the role of "Alia." As previously revealed, Alia is a "beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with mysteriously intimate ties to Clark and Krypton." (Thanks to Andy B. for the tip!)
UPDATED 7/8/09: Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly is saying that we'll be seeing an iconic "S" symbol "all over the place" in Season 9, including on Clark's chest. This spoiler may have something to do with Clark's "new approach to fighting crime" that we posted about last week.
- Justin Hartley has hinted to TV Guide Magazine that Oliver may be "revisiting the Lois romance." No word on when that will start, though it's very likely Lois and Oliver will be sharing at least one scene in the season premiere.
UPDATED 7/4/09: Dr. Emil Hamilton appears and shares a scene with Chloe.
- Lois returns from wherever she disappeared to in "Doomsday."
- Clark takes on a new approach to fighting crime in Metropolis.
UPDATED 7/1/09: Michael Ausiello has confirmed that yes, the "Mason" role that was being cast is indeed "Zod" who will be played by Callum Blue.
UPDATED 6/26/09: We can now confirm the title is indeed "Savior."
- Casting notices have gone out for "Alia," a "beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with mysteriously intimate ties to Clark and Krypton." She's an expert fighter, especially with a throwing star and a sword. They're looking for a martial arts background, and this role will recur.
Another female soldier who is described as "sexy and hot" is "Fiona." She wears a faded military jacket and turns against her leader. Together with another soldier named "Basqat" she imprisons her leader. This role may recur too.

UPDATED 6/21/09: TV Guide has said that Callum Blue makes his first appearance in this episode as Zod, and he will be a series regular.
UPDATED 6/21/09: Matt Mitovich of TV Guide says that we first meet field journalist John Corben as he steps into the shoes of a missing-in-action Clark Kent.
UPDATED 6/18/09: TV Guide has revealed that Beverly Hills 90210 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles alum Brian Austin Green has been cast in "at least the first two episodes of Season 9" as Superman comics villain "Metallo." In this version of the story, Metallo's alter ego of John Corben will be a journalist for the Daily Planet.
Seems Green has gone from hanging out with cyborgs to actually playing one!

Episode #9-4: "Echo"
October 16, 2009

Written By: Bryan Q. Miller
Directed By: Wayne Rose
UPDATED 7/27/09: A villain from the past returns in this episode, and our money's on it being Toyman. (This was accidentally posted under #9-3 "Rabid" earlier today)
- Oliver ends up at a seedy club in Havana with two women in tow, and later ends up being chased by a large drug kingpin. He ends up having to be saved by one of his on-again, off-again associates and romantic partners.
- Meanwhile, Clark wears a tuxedo and a bow tie to gain entrance into the Ace of Clubs and goes by the nickname "Kennair." His "date" to the AoC? Lois in an elegant cocktail dress.
- Lois and Clark go to Metropolis General to interview a man who was held hostage, but it seems it may be a false lead. This still causes Clark's "reporter instincts" to get "kicked into high gear."
- Lois and Clark also interview a female hostage.
- It seems that Clark might get a new power to hear others' thoughts in this situation, hence the title.
UPDATED 6/26/09: There may be a line in the episode where someone says "And she doesn't notice the tag is still on the dress." (As revealed in our KryptonSite Bryan Q. Miller interview!)

Episode #9-5: "Idol"
October 23, 2009

Director: Glen Winter
Guest Stars: David Gallagher (Zan), Allison Scagliotti (Jayna)
UPDATED 8/17/09: Lois meets her psychatrist, "Dr. Evans," and tells her there are things she wants to talk about off the record.
- Dr. Evans asks Lois to describe these dreams, and Lois tells her that they start off with "serious NC-17 violence" and then there's a recurring event - involving clothes coming off. "Lots of... naked... skin. Skin on skin."
- Dr. Evans asks if these dreams are about Clark and Lois gets defensive and says that yes, she's doing the "virtual kama sutra" with Clark Kent, and refers to her desk as "soft-core central."
- Dr. Evans suggests that Lois's dream may have something to do with wanting to uncover something that's hidden within Clark. Lois admits she does feel like he is hiding something, and that the closer she gets to him, the more she feels like Clark is going to disappear.
- "The Red-Blue Blur" calls while Lois is talking with Dr. Evans. The ring tone is "Holding Out For A Hero" (though of course this could change). Lois sends him to voice mail. Apparently the last time Lois opened up to the RBB, he vanished into thin air. The doctor suggests she still has feelings for this "mysterious caller," but Lois insists that he's history like "eight-track tapes" and "rotary phones."
- Chloe by this point knows that Clark has been calling Lois as "The Blur." She is there with him on the other side of the line. There is a reference made to "what happened with Corbin" from "Metallo."
- Chloe tells Clark he's going to need a better disguise.
- Something happens at one point that makes Lois think Clark is the Blur. The Blur does eventually reach her by the phone, however.
- Also in this episode it is Clark, not the Blur, who saves Lois from danger out on a ledge. There's a scene (possibly around the same moment?) where Lois wants to confess her feelings for him, and Clark looks deeply into her eyes, though it's unknown if they actually say anything.
- Dr. Evans tells Lois that there will be a time when she will have to choose between the Blur and Clark.
- Zan and Jayna may be transforming themselves into a black panther... and a sheet of ice.
- The Metropolis D.A., Ray Sacks, holds a televised press conference urging the Blur to "step out of the shadows." He invites Clark to show himself and take responsibility for his actions" at a public press conference and derides his work as "vigilante behavior."
- Later at the press conference, the Blur doesn't show... but Lois does... announcing that she knows the Blur. She then has a monologue about how and why the Blur can't come out and make his presence known, and that he needs to be what we all need - a symbol to believe in, and a light in the darkness.
- This episode will have a very "V For Vendetta" moment within.
UPDATED 8/14/09: Provided that these are indeed the "Wonder Twins"... "Zan" will be played by David Gallagher of 7th Heaven fame; "Jayna" will be Allison Scagliotti who was recently seen on Warehouse 13.
UPDATED 8/4/09: Smallville is now casting the roles of "Twyla," a "Pixie-punk teen," and her brother "Tanner," a "hot skater dude." *Cough*Zan and Jayna*cough cough*
- These two spray paint an "S" on the roof of a bad guy's limo, to catch the attention of their "idol," the Blur.
- Later, the duo visit Watchtower and see all of the high-tech gear that Chloe has within. Jayna "Twyla" asks Chloe if she's actually met the Blur, and if she is the Blur's sidekick. Chloe tells them that Watchtower provides support to all of the heroes of Metropolis. "Twyla" wants to tweet her "group" about what she has seen, and Chloe warns that if she says one word to anyone about it, any trace of her virtual existence will be evaporated.
- A sign of the current state of the Chloe-Clark interaction: Chloe tells them that "if you get good enough at it, one day you might find yourself saving your best friend, from an enemy, or even from himself."
UPDATED 8/3/09: A possible hint on the guest characters in this episode: It's very likely they may have the ability to turn into a bird and a bucket of water, respectively. Purple monkey optional. We'll see if that pans out. (Keep in mind this entry is just speculation and nothing is confirmed)
UPDATED 7/27/09: Two guests from the DC Universe will appear in this episode.

Episode #9-6: "Roulette"
October 30, 2009

Director: Kevin Fair
Guest Stars: Steph Song (Victoria/Roulette)
UPDATED 8/24/09: Steph Song will be playing Roulette. Song describes the character as "a trickster, a villain, a master deceiver all in a very tight red dress."

UPDATED 8/22/09: Lois learns of a secret Clark has been keeping about Oliver.
UPDATED 8/17/09: Oliver starts the episode's teaser at a speakeasy where he has maxed out his credit line and is generally down on life. He asks for a blowfish knowing that it could be delay. Roulette enters using the name of "Victoria Sinclair," wearing a red dress with high slits that reveal an elaborate dragon tattoo. She makes a reference to Oliver looking like "a guy down on his luck;" when he sees her, he says he thinks his luck "just turned around." Oliver admits to her that he's lost a certain lust for life, and she invites him to play a game with her. She then convinces Oliver to take a pill which makes his eyesight blur and he falls for the floor
- Later Oliver and "Victoria" are running, and he asks her what her "game' is. She tells him if he hadn't taken the pill, the people she works for would have killed her.
- "Victoria" is shot and her blood splatters all over Oliver's white business suit. Then Oliver is tasered by a cop who believes him to be a killer, and he is arrested and taken in to be questioned. He is released by an FBI agent who knows about the "game."
- Clark and Chloe share a scene where Clark is presented with an image of Alia (a Kryptonian character from earlier in the season).
- Chloe sees a symbol which disturbs her and refers to a "woman from the future" when talking to Clark - possibly talking about Alia there too.
UPDATED 8/13/09: Title Posted. Please do not re-post this on other sites without mentioning the title's source (KryptonSite) with a link to the site.
UPDATED 7/27/09: DC Comics character "Roulette" appears in this episode, and a dollar says that's also the episode title, but we cannot confirm that last part.

Episode #9-7: "Crossfire"
November 6, 2009

UPDATED 8/25/09: Clark goes on a date that is being watched by a producer and Lois in a control room. Lois is speaking to Clark throughout the date on an earphone. She teases Clark about the fact that in his profile, he admits that he "grew up on a farm" will get him nothing but a date with a country mouse or a cougar looking for her next meal.
- Clark's date is with "Catherine," a 24 year old blonde beauty whose appearance leaves Lois a bit on the shocked side. Lois decides she wants to make Clark just as jealous as she is, and is determined to top this date
- Later Lois has a date where Clark is speaking to HER over an earwig. At one point Clark says "The last thing you need is a drink, Lois." (AGAIN with the drunk Lois stuff... sigh.)
- After it's all done, Clark tells Lois that her date was a lucky man. Lois smiles, glad that she seems to have made him jealous.
- There's a scene between Clark and Chloe where they talk about the release form for whatever the dating thing is, but we don't know many details on that.
- There is a scene between Tess and Zod in the mansion. Zod has one of his people posing as a guard in his mansion, and tells him to make Tess reveal who the Blur is, or kill her
- Oliver's storyline involves him meeting Mia Dearden, and yes, this speedy girl wears lots of red and yellow. She's working for a tattooed pimp named Rick, who doesn't sound like a very pleasant character. At some point Mia takes Ollie for a quick spin in his Lamorghini, at which point he teasingly calls her "Speedy." Later, Oliver reveals the real reason he is there - he knows of her from an earlier encounter, and he wants to be able to help her.

More Spoilers For Smallville Season 9

UPDATED 7/27/09: Holy Flash Forward! Lois is having visions of the future, and "what day in the future" will be revealed during November sweeps.
UPDATED 7/25/09: New spoilers from Ausiello, given to him from executive producer Brian Peterson:
- Season 9's theme is "Clark's darkest hour."
- There will be a season-long love triangle with Clark, Lois, and the Red-Blue Blur.
- Chloe, still grieving over Jimmy's death, will immerse herself in all things Watchtower. Peterson also hinted to Ausiello that there will be some tension between Chloe and Clark when she realizes she's no longer content just being his sidekick.

- There is a scene in the season premiere between Clark and Jor-El where we find out why Clark isn't flying.
- Footage of Brian Austin Green as Metallo will be unveiled at Sunday's Comic-Con panel. So far he's signed for two episodes, but Peterson hopes he'll do more.
- The episode currently filming ("Metallo" or "Rabid") focuses on Oliver's downward spiral.
- Alessandro Juliani will be back as Dr. Emil Hamilton for several episodes (as first reported on K-Site, oh, a month ago.)
- Story-wise, the producers are not approaching this season as if it is the last.
- Peterson recently had dinner with Michael Rosenbaum. Interpret that as you like.
UPDATED 7/21/09: Lots of reports on relationships for Season 9, some of which are conflicting. E! Online says this about Chloe and Clark: "We're actually hearing of a "strained relationship" between Chloe and Clark next season on Smallville. Those two will always work together, and they will always be your "Chloe and Clark," but expect some tension in season nine.
- EW's Michael Ausiello is proclaiming that Season 9 will have "full tilt Clois."
UPDATED 7/8/09: E! Online's Kristin Vietch is saying that Clark and Lois is the romance arc to watch in Season 9. TV Guide Magazine, on the other hand, has some words from Justin Hartley, who says to expect something to possibly happen again between Lois and Oliver.
UPDATED 6/30/09: Justin Hartley had an update for Watch With Kristin about his character arc for Season 9: "I heard Oliver's going to start drinking again. He'd better be a funny drunk. Who wants an angry drunk around?"
UPDATED 6/23/09: British actor Callum Blue has been cast as Zod in Season 9.
UPDATED 6/2/09: Here are some details from the scenes that were used to cast Mason. ("Mason" is indeed Zod) Be warned, this may not be the way the character will ultimately be.
- The scene takes place on the Queen Industries jet, and involves Mason with Tess.
- Tess is rushing onto the jet and is surprised by Mason's voice, who asks her if she's "All work and no play?
- Tess tells Mason that she hoped he would have mastered more than a lexicon of cliches by now. He tells Tess she can stand down, becuase "it's me," and Tess says that "precisely who 'you' are is a little nebulous at the moment." Mason reminds her that that is "exactly the way you like it." He then keeps trying to find ways to try to seduce her.
- It sounds like Tess might "betray" Mason. In a later scene, Tess returns to the Luthor Mansion to find him inside, waiting. He mentions that she "turned on him" but he "survived it," and then works on psychoanalyzing Tess yet again.
- He tells Tess "I trusted you!" and tells her that he was the one shot she had at a fairy tale ending. She pulls a gun on him, and reminds him "You still need me." He realizes she's right.
UPDATED 5/27/09: Smallville has sent out a casting notice for a role called "Mason." Here's what they're looking for:
"MASON: Late 20's early 30's. He's a handsome charismatic charmer who savors life. He appreciates good food, loves fast cars and sees beauty in every woman. There isn't a detail in life that eludes his senses. He is a master of seduction... knowing what everyone wants and needs before they do. But don't let his magnetism fool you. There's more than meets the eye. His intelligence can't be matched. He outmaneuvers everyone in his path. Though he longs to find a home, that vulnerability can be twisted -- making him a force to be reckoned with."
UPDATED 5/14/09: Multiple reports say that Erica Durance will be back for Season 9, with some unverified rumors saying that she'll be on for 17 episodes. In an interview with E! Online, executive producer Kelly Souders confirmed that she will be continuing: "Erica is the one person we can say yes to. We know in the mythology that it's Clark and Lois forever," Souders said.
- Aaron Ashmore's Smallville stay is over, after the events of "Doomsday." While it seemed at a time that Sam Witwer may remain with the series, but as Zod, it doesn't look like that will be happening anymore, especially considering Callum Blue has now been cast.

Ask Ausiello from EW spoilers 7/15/09
Question: There have been conflicting reports about where Smallville is heading in the romance department this year. Is it the season of Clois, or are they really revisiting Lois and Ollie again? --Jeff
Ausiello: It's full-tilt-Clois. I'm sure they will touch on Lois-Ollie, but it won't be anything significant.

Clark will learn how to fly next season as it focus more on his flying and heroic side, and also keep and double identity and also phone boothes as take on more challenges with aliens, freaks, and also DC Comics villians also. Bruno Mannheim, Intergang, Darkseid, Dick Grayson, Perry White, and couple of more comics allies and also villains will appear as he reaches his innner Superman as the red-and-blue blur.
- Oliver will appear for next season, as Emil Hamilton appears to help Clark when he is in need.
- The movies and cartoons will be put into one and based with most of the season, while the story arc will be based on the comics, including heroes and villains.
- Lois, Jimmy, Clark will not team up during their stories for the Planet, but it could happen if Perry let happen. But it if it does, it's only probally happen for one time.
- We might see Darkseid as Clark's greatest challenge to be a superhero to protect Metropolis.
- Doomsday will not appear in season 9 or guest stars another way, including Chloe too.
- This is the final season. I repeat, the LAST SEASON of the series.
- If Perry starts out as Clark's editor and chief, he will be staying with Clark in Smallville, which will be akward for Clark, until Perry finds a place to crash and also he will be drinking again, maybe. It will probally depend just to make the series better.
- Bruce Wayne, maybe mentioned, but will not appear at all (which sucks, because he could be the one who could had made him the reason he became a hero). But who knows, he might appear.

email this Buzz up!add to Yahoo! buzz add to facebook This week on the CW's Smallville, the DC Comics spellcaster known as Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) works her magic at Chloe's birthday party, granting the guest of honor a most special wish. As a result, Chloe is planted into her cousin Lois' body, and that switcheroo makes for one freaky Thursday.

In this exclusive clip, watch as "Chlois" — aka Erica Durance channeling Allison Mack, nervous lower-lip bites and all — beseeches Zatanna to use her "hex appeal" to undo what's been done. Plus: Does Clark have a wish of his own to make?
