Question: Any Heroes scoop? —Adam
Ausiello: Just this one cryptic tease from my good buddy Greg Grunberg: “The
only way to get rid of or really handle the evil guy Sylar is to get more
dark and more evil than he is, and that’s pretty much where my character
goes.” Parkman more evil than Sylar? Wow, I’m really behind on Heroes.

In this Monday’s episode, Peter starts to hear (and see) sweet music
when he falls for Deanne Bray’s super-synesthetic deaf girl. They even
play a cute duet on piano. Sadly, Peter’s romantic pursuits are cut
short when an old friend in desperate need of his nursing skills visits
him.

Ausiello: In keeping with the season’s “Redemption” theme, “Tracy goes
back to her old life working on the Hill, only to discover that she’s no
longer driven by the same shallow rewards,” explains series creator Tim
Kring. “She wants to make a difference in people’s lives.”

09/06 - One-time Law & Order

NBC confirms that she'll appear in the season's eighth episode,
playing a character named Lauren Gilmore.

ill-fated love interest. As the dying time-traveler zips back and
forth through the ages to accomplish his bucket list.

08/30 - Sources tell us the original plan (which could, of course,
be changed at any time) for Jayma Mays' return to Heroes
was this: Hiro jumps back in time to the diner where Charlie works,
and this time successfully kills Sylar. This jacks up the Heroes
timeline (obviously), but the upside is that Hiro then is able to
meet with alive-and-well Charlie at a bar in Japan.

Sendhil Ramamurthy resurfaces in November, so you'll get your
explanation then. Not sure if this is a clue but my Heroes mole tells me
that more than 50 percent of Ramamurthy's scenes since returning have
been with Masi Oka.

The Riches alum Todd Stashwick
has landed a recurring role on NBC's Heroes.
He will play Eli who is a part of this season's traveling carnival
storyline and has close ties to the carnival's evil ringleader Samuel.

confirm to me that a major death is in the works, and this is not one
that will go unnoticed by even the most casual fan. It is huge. I will
tell you that this leading character is a male and he is one of the
original cast.

Here is a summary of spoilers sent via a news letter to those who got
a Heroes All Access
Membership: We're all very excited about the next volume of Heroes
(volume 5) called "REDEMPTION." All of our characters, in way
or another, return to their normal lives after the turmoil and tragedy
of "FUGITIVES." One of the big issues we'll be exploring is
how should a person with abilities live his or her life. Should they try
to assimilate by hiding their abilities, or should they live more
honestly, exposing their powers to the world? Claire will be at the
forefront of that issue, starting college in Washington, D.C., and
trying to discover, as all college kids do, who she really is. But
re-adjusting to normal life won't be easy, especially when Claire is
caught in the crossfire of her parent's divorce and a mysterious suicide
on campus. Meanwhile, Peter and Nathan are trying to get their lives
back on track. Peter is trying to be a hero in the purest sense - saving
on life at a time. But that means cutting himself off from friends and
family. It's only when Peter makes a romantic connection with a
fascinating new "powerful" woman that he'll find out that life
means staying connected to others. Nathan is discovering new things
about himself everyday, mostly due to the fact that he's actually Sylar.
Matt will have to live with the guilt of what he did to Sylar; making
his attempts to live a normal life with his wife and child virtually
impossible. Noah Bennet (HRG), with the help of Tracy Strauss, Angela
Petrelli and all of our Heroes, is tasked with forming a new COMPANY.
But that new organization won't be concerned with conspiracies and
prisons anymore. It will be about people. Finding them. Connecting to
them. And figuring out why so many of them have been seduced by another
"organization" out there that treats people with abilities in
a fascinating, dangerous and potentially deadly new way.

British actor Ray Park, whose role as Darth Maul in Star
Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace made him an icon to fanboys
far and wide, is joining the cast for a sizeable arc. Little is known
about Park's role, except that he's playing one of the colorful
characters at the center of the show's Carnivale-esque
storyline. (My guess? He's the character described in the breakdowns as
"Knife Thrower.")

Ausiello Files
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Prison
Break's Robert Knepper (aka creepmaster T-Bag) will be playing
Samuel, a charismatic fellow with a knack for mischief. For at least six
episodes, Knepper's Samuel will be the key figure in the death carnival,
the primary new setting and storyline for season four. Also on deck for
Heroes season four is Madeline Zima, whose life this summer will be
intercutting between Californication,
where she plays cerebral tease Mia, and the environs of fictional Costa
Verde, Calif., where she will be in college with Claire. According to
the Hollywood Reporter, Zima's Heroes
character, Gretchen, is "an edgy outsider." In other news,
look for the casting later this month of new character Emma, who is hot,
hearing impaired and smart. Emma will first appear in episode three and
recur throughout the volume. She is expected to be a new love interest
for Peter Petrelli. Masi Oka's Hiro Nakamura will also be a major focus
of Volume Four, as he works to undo some of the damage done to his life
since the eclipse unleashed his powers. Hiro's bloody noses and
headaches are not going away next season on Heroes.
In fact, it's going to be a cause for speculation on if we're going to
lose another hero soon.
