Universal Television has signed a talent holding deal with multi-platinum recording artist Ricky Martin (ex-Miguel) to develop and star in his first network television series and specials, it was announced today by Bela Bajaria, Executive Vice President, Universal Television. “Ricky is an iconic superstar who is as talented as he is popular,” said Bajaria. “Whether he’s performing before sold-out concert crowds, or starring on Broadway, where he is currently playing to SRO in ‘Evita,’ Ricky connects with his audience in a very palpable way – and we are thrilled that he will be adding TV star to his incredible resume.”
Both a GRAMMY and Multiple LATIN GRAMMY winner, Ricky Martin is the leading Latin Music figure of his generation - beloved by fans worldwide for his instinctive understanding of rhythm, passion for performing, and equal compassion for giving. More news on our GH Appearances Page as we have it!

Jason Cook (Matt, GH; ex-Shawn, Days) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH) are creating a short film called Genreful, featuring seven genres in approximately 15 minutes, on Kickstarter. Cook explains, "So the way it works is you put money in and it's in advance, so you're sort of buying your DVD in advance, and you're buying it based on Bradford's going to star and I'm making it, and you get to be part of the process of it being made. It's not just seeing the movie when it's done; it's being part of the pre-production and the production." They're hoping to raise $50,000 by May 27. For detailed information about the project or to donate, go to www.kickstarter.com.

GH celebrated its 49th birthday on April 1, 2012.  It is now the longest-running soap on the air.

Jack Wagner (Nick, B&B; ex-Frisco, GH; ex-Jacques, Sunset Beach) was reunited with his biological daughter, Kerry, 23, in Boca Raton, Florida, on November 17, 2011. Before a concert with fellow GH alum Rick Springfield (ex-Noah), Kerry approached him backstage and revealed that she's the daughter he'd given up for adoption in the late '80s. She showed him a photo of her biological mother, whom the actor recognized. The next night, Jack invited Kerry on stage with him and revealed to the audience that he'd "been" with her mother back in the day; the woman then called him nine months later to inform him that she'd had his baby, but was giving her up for adoption. Kerry was raised in a foster home, then hired a private investigator to find her biological parents. Jack also has two sons with ex-wife Kristina Wagner (ex-Felicia, GH): Peter, 21 and Harrison, 16.
