I don't know about you guys but GH is really starting to annoy me!
I have watched GH for many, many, MANY years and it hasn't always had the
best storylines (Robin and the alien) but you still watched because you knew
something good would happen.
I think my favorite stories were Heather in the mental hospital. I
remember having to leave work by 2:30 so I could be home to watch it. That
was before VCR's were invented (that's aging myself ). The Ice
Princess story with Luke and Laura. You had great characters like Tiffany,
Sean, Robert. We knew that something like that could never happen but it was
fun to watch. Jason and the accident with A.J. The aids story with
Stone and Robin. Brenda/Lily/Sonny. Jax/Brenda/Sonny. They're have been too
many good storylines to name. SO WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
Jason was a boring character to watch before the accident (not hard to
look at though) It was a waste of Steve Burton's talent. So they changed the
direction of the character and it worked! Burton is amazing. A.J. is
annoying. Always whining and complaining poor me He needs to get over
himself and move on.
The storylines just don't make sense anymore. One day Carly and Sonny are
in love again and the next episode Carly hates Sonny but she still tries to
get him back. Then Sonny tells Carly he will always love her and when she
tells him about Alexis he doesn't want to have anything to do with her.
Alexis's character isn't the same. She used to be strong and sassy and funny
now she's dull and wimpy. Elizabeth and Jason. You wanted them together next
thing you know she's with Zander. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I
could go on but I think you know what I mean because if you watch it your
probably thinking the same thing.
I also find the actors portraying these characters don't seem to put
their all into it. I watch and shake my head for an hour and can't believe
what I'm watching. I remember when the stories were really good I used to
dream about the show. I woke Dan (my husband) up one night saying the
Quartermaines were after me. He thought I was nuts. Now I dream about what
crap they're putting out.
The sad thing is I'll probably watch GH ...for now. Bad comes to worse,
If I wanted to watch a really, really, REALLY bad storyline, I'd watch
Passions, but that would be something else altogether!
We'll talk next week,
MJ Stephens
