"Days of Our Lives" was set to air its milestone 12,000th
episode on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, but is
delayed by two weeks due to the Olympics. There are three scheduled pre-emptions remaining
this year: Monday, 9/3/12 for PGA Golf Finals; Thursday,
11/22/12 for The National Dog Show; and Friday, 11/23/12 for
NHL Hockey.

June 23, 2012 for Outstanding Writing Team and Outstanding Younger Actor

The Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards to honor those behind
the scenes was held at the Westin Bonaventure on Sunday, June 17, 2012. GH
was the most winning soap, taking home statues for Casting, Costume Design,
Song, and Technical Direction; Days won for Makeup and Stunt Coordination;
B&B won Art Direction/Set Direction and tied Y&R for Hairstyling; AMC was
the winner in Editing and tied Y&R for Sound Mixing; OLTL won Lighting; and
Y&R took home Score.
Arianne Zucker (Nicole, Days) is raising funds for LifeCHANGE, the
leadership program she started with her brother, Todd, and Jason Cook (Matt,
GH). "Every fan who donates $25 on Monday, June 11 between 1 and 5 p.m. PT
will receive an autographed "Days of Our Lives" script. The first five
donors of $100 or more will also receive a personal phone call from Zucker.

Citing "irreconcilable differences," Lindsay Hartley (ex-Cara, AMC;
ex-Arianna, Days; ex-Theresa, Passions) has filed for divorce from husband
Justin Hartley (ex-Fox, Passions). They met while starring on Passions, wed in
2004 and have a daughter, Isabella, 7. Lindsay is seeking joint physical and
legal custody.

"Days of Our Lives" head writers Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas,
Jr., who joined the show last May, were replaced by former Days
Co-Executive Producer and one-time Co-Head Writer Gary Tomlin and former Days
Co-Head writer Christopher Whitesell.
After Lisa Rinna (Billie) chose Joe Mascolo (Stefano) as
the worst actor in the history of "Days of Our Lives" on
March 6, she went on Twitter to apologize to her co-star,
calling herself stupid. Mascolo responded, "Lisa saying that
Taylor should have her lips reduced and calling me the worst
actor on Days is sort of like the pot calling the kettles
black! Watch out, Lisa. Stefano always gets revenge!"
Eric Winter (ex-Rex) and wife, Roselyn Sanchez (ex-Pilar,
ATWT) welcomed a daughter, Sebella Rose, in the early hours of January 4. The
infant weighed in at 6 lbs., 14 oz. and is 20 inches long. “Welcome to the world
beautiful Sebella Rose Winter! Mami and Daddy adore you!” they tweeted.

Lisa De Cazotte has joined Greg Meng as Co-Executive Producer of "Days of
Our Lives," replacing Noel Maxam. Ken Corday remains Executive Producer. De
Cazotte was a producer at AMC, had been Executive Producer at Passions, and
previously worked on Santa Barbara and GH.

NBC renewed "Days of Our Lives" for two years until September 2013,
with an option to renew for one more year, depending on ratings.

SOD 8/21/12
Nicole’s Baby Drama! After the explosion, both Nicole and her unborn baby are in
danger. Daniel struggles to reach Nicole, who is buried under an avalanche of
debris. Hope and Bo arrive to assist Daniel and it becomes clear to them that he
cares deeply for Nicole. They finally break through the rubble, but Nicole is
nowhere to be found. After the search for Nicole in the ballroom proves futile,
Daniel and Bo go outside, where they spot her wandering aimlessly through the
town square. Suddenly, Nicole is struck by premature labor pains and Daniel is
able to stabilize her. Nicole is admitted to the hospital, where she receives a
visit from Father Matt. Nicole opens up to him about Rafe and Daniel, hoping to
find clarity. Nicole shifts her focus to Daniel, and the affection that’s been
building between them. Meanwhile, the explosion has also had an impact on
Daniel, who decides it might be best if he shift his priorities and make Melanie
his top concern. Daniel pays Nicole a visit, poised to end their affair.

Aftershocks! In the warehouse, Sami is dangling over the edge of a catwalk,
holding onto EJ for dear life. Fortunately, Will arrives just in time to help EJ
save Sami. EJ and Sami head back to a DiMera hideaway outside of town, where
they share a passionate kiss. The mood is broken when EJ gets a call from
someone who says they can prove his innocence. He heads out and Sami then spills
tea on herself. Suddenly, there’s a knock at the door: It’s Rafe! Across town,
Abigail is trapped in an elevator, and Jennifer, Jack and Cameron work hard to
free her. Elsewhere in the ballroom, Kate spies Ian cradling Madison, who is
near death. As Ian pledges his love to his ex-wife, her final words are about
Brady. Ian is devastated when she dies, while Kate grapples with her beau’s
lies. Ian then reveals that he “got rid” of Stefano. In the tunnels, Chad is
with Gabi, and Brady is with Melanie as they work furiously to get out. After
the next explosion hits, Gabi and Chad hear voices and follow them, hoping to
locate Melanie and Brady. Ultimately, the group is reunited. They head out of
the tunnels, where Brady learns the crushing news from Kate that Madison is
dead.
